Not all. Just the insensitive ones. LOL!
Well, I have both Republican and Democrat friends. I think folks generally hang out with those that are reasonably close in IQ.
Yet, Democrats require high voter turn out by poor, uneducated folks to win an election hoping to weild their elected as a weapon against achievers. Now that's funny... if you ignore the "why's" behind it all.
Banks went under due to piss poor lending practices due to government getting involved with "enticing" institutions to lower their requirement for folks who can't afford them to buy homes. It had nothing to do with GW's spending, though his spending put the dollar at risk in this bail out that should never have happened.
I could bash GW further but to his credit, it wasn't his policies that screwed up the economy. Look back to 1997 - 1999 to see where this started.
I don't see why Bush wouldn't. He spends more than my wife. Relatively speaking, of course. Hehehe
I agree. That's why I would wait until Monday. Then again, I could fix that for IBM. I'll open some IBM $80 puts today and by Monday, it will be tapping on $100's door.
Yup. I might wait until Monday but IBM calls may be a good bet. Look at the $90 strikes.
YHOO's going to be a bloodbath today.
We can't put the blame on Obama's policies alone, though promoting higher taxes on business that only translate to higher prices for consumers doesn't help. The market already had a bad aroma before Nov. 4th. LOL!
Probably too early but just closed out of these completely:
.DIJWB DIA NOV 80 Puts
I just have the feeling tomorrow will be green for the DOW and didn't want to hold over the weekend.
Nice. What are you looking at currently?
Looking at RGR (Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc.)
Ruger firearms. Trading close to their 52 week low. 19 million OS so it should move fast. Only, they have low volume also.
IMO, with Democrats having full control across the branches, folks may start buying guns for fear of heavy restrictions being placed on ownership through mid next year.
They have options and I'm watching to see if I can figure out how they trade. This could turn very volitile, IMO.
I'm thinking Puts on Monday. Microsoft will NOT pay $30 per share. More like $20 in today's market. Premiums will be up at open and IMO, the only direction for Yahoo is down after no more than one more day.
I wouldn't be surprised if Yang is just pumping the stock at this point.
Not sure I'd buy these today but they certainly moved well today:
.DIJWB DIA NOV 80 Puts
I added yesterday @ .69 and had to stomach them dropping to the .50's. Holding over night.
Well, I would agree that EVERYONE should be able to vote saeth the Bill of Rights. That won't go anywhere. But that should be true ONLY if we had a Republic rather than today's Democracy. Under a Republic, you have a rule of law in which the electorate cannot vote away a person's property, ie, cash.
Here's another one for ya. You may have hears about one of Howard Stern's guys interviewing blacks in Harlem and asking them if they support Obama's policies. The interviewer tied McCain's policies to Obama when asking questions and these folks said they agree with the policies such as being pro-life, finish the war in Iraq, anit-stem cell research and whether or not they are happy that Obama picked Sarah Palin as his VP.
These same folks that can't get the candidate's policies right said that McCain seems uneducated. LOL!
Oh no. Blacks aren't voting for Obama based on race. No way. I know this is NOT across the board but you get the point.
Question - Do you support Obama because he's pro-life or because he thinks our troops should remain in Iraq and finish the war?
Answer - Bof
Here ya go:
The U.S. is done being a country of individualism and self responsibility. There are now too many uneducated, under achievers like this lady that are able to vote now:
Buenos noches. As soon as the blue rep's start talking about taxing 401k's again, it will be time for achievers to take their cash to a country that appreciates and values success. Costa Rica might be my next home. I wouldn't mind helping to create jobs there. LOL!
I'm going to bed after Florida is done. That's the deal breaker for McCain, IMO.
Oil dropping to the $50's soon?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081103/bs_nm/us_markets_oil
Gas prices in my area are down to $2.15. When oil was this cheap last year, we were paying less than $2.00. Bleh.
I'm thinking about these. Volume's only 1 today but with the time, these could be big, IMO:
.GOOCT GOOG MAR 2009 600 Calls
LOL! I get the impression that they have something personal against Boeing.
Getting some cash ready to sit and wait until after the election. Let it run a bit and be ready for the pull back, IMO.
Perhaps Boeing (BA) should publicly downgrade GS stock to a conviction sell. LOL!
Someone just wants to own as much CSHD as possible @ .001.
$1.65 for 1650 shares might be worth the price to own a momento of one of the biggest stock scams of 2006. LOL!
Historically, election years are good for the Market regardless of what party wins:
Election-year gains
The Dow has been up eight of the past 10 presidential election years.
Year Winner % Gain
1964 Lyndon Johnson +14.6%
1968 Richard Nixon +4.3%
1972 Richard Nixon +14.6%
1976 Jimmy Carter +17.9%
1980 Ronald Reagan +14.9%
1984 Ronald Reagan -3.7%
1988 George H.W. Bush +11.8%
1992 Bill Clinton +4.2%
1996 Bill Clinton +26.0%
2000 George W. Bush -6.2%
Average +9.8%
LOL! This thread is full of pessimists, you basher. Hehehe
Happy Halloween!
I don't know. Friday's have been big green days. And these are down even though DIA is down:
.DIJWB DIA NOV 80 Puts
Was thinking of buying more of these today but I'm thinking a close today a few hundred points up.
Maybe I should buy both those puts and get some calls! LOL!
Well, if it's so rampant and illegal, where's the lawsuits? LOL!
NSS on a POS penny stock is like one crime family exploiting another for ill-gotten games. Is the Gambino crime family going to bring a lawsuit against the Genovese crime family because the Genovese intercepted their illegal drugs en route across a state border? LOL!
Is Rufus, a known liar about his supposed assets, going to bring a lawsuit against an unnamed entity for illegally shorting his stock? LOL!
Looking at them now. Thanks!
BTW, thoughts on Jason Becker? He's got a great tune "Altitudes." I know it's from the late 80's but man. Great stuff. Just sickening that disease he has. Lou Gehrig's is a curse.
Buying into these again towards the close:
.DIJWB DIA NOV 80 Puts
Sold 2/3's of my position earler today at 2.16. Hoping to buy back in around 1.75 or less.
Yup. As he runs around town drinking and laughing it up, he'll make the joke to his buddies (and his mamma) that it's about time to make an empathetic post for the faithful to keep them going.
IMO, Rufus's message board is a huge, on-going joke for Rufus. How could it NOT be when people are still posting crap like this:

Quote: I don't know about all of you but when the BOSS comes on and tells someone or even all of us to "HANG IN THERE", there is just a peacefulness that comes with that statement.
It just comes across to me as him saying "In time everything is going to be just fine" and even though he's saying it to someone else, it just feels good to hear him say it.
I know some of you will be saying "Ya but he's been saying that for a while now", well regardless of how long he's been saying it, I truly believe he means it and if there is one thing all of this has taught me it's PATIENCE.
I still BELIEVE as many of you do and I will "HANG IN THERE" for as long as the BOSS continues to ask me too because timing is everything and Boss knows when the time is right.
WE BELIEVE:"
.DIJWB DIA NOV 80 Puts.
Bought more at 1.75 this AM. IMO, we close red today or close.
You called it well, indeed! Just having some pre-Halloween fun.

OptionsMonster = The Market's Grim Reaper! LOL!
I agree 100% with you though. I took a loan from my 401k a few months back and glad I did. That's money that didn't lose value and while I pay myself back, I've been averaging down while paying myself back 6%. Borrowing from a 401k is NOT a good idea for the most part. This time though, it simply made sense.
Looking through my 401k plan investment offerings, out of a hundred or so funds, none were for bear markets. Bleh.
Which makes me wonder. If you are in charge of a mutual fund and the market is going down, wouldn't you put a few of your team on shorting some of the investments to hedge your fund?
I think I'll open my own mutual fund and invite all the good members on this thread to manage different sectors. We'll kick the Market's ass, eh? LOL!
I've heard that it was sometime this month. Two years after the halt. Of course, if no one goes after him, he was always off the hook. LOL! His postings to those that decided to remain faithful was part of the plan. Those of us that realized what has happened and know he's a crook simply decided it wasn't worth it to spend another dime to go after him.
Here's more info (I'll Bet Alana will guide you to the right direction):
http://www.securitieslaw.com/statutes.html#limitations
State consumer protection statutes of limitation. Some state Consumer Protection Acts specifically include securities claims, while other states do not cover securities transactions as a protected class of activity. In some states which include securities transactions under their Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practice Act, there may be a provision for equitable tolling of the time limitations period. For example, under the Massachusetts Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practice Act, which explicitly covers securities transactions, the limitations period is four years from when the investor knew or should have known of the fraud.
Statutes of limitations for common law claims of fraud and misrepresentation. Limitations periods for claims of fraud or misrepresentation vary from state to state. Most states tend to be within the two to six year range, although there is generally equitable tolling for discovery and fraudulent concealment. A claim for fraud must be brought within three years in Massachusetts, but the time period is measured from when the customer knew or should have known of the fraud, and the clock does not start ticking as long as the broker is concealing the fraud. Under New York law, a claim for fraud must be brought by the later of six years from the event or two years from discovery.
Any opinions whether or not the market is going to go back down where it was 2 days ago or are we going to start a gradual uptrend?
Thoughts?
Well, as the story goes, if you can PROVE that illegal naked shorts were the cause of harm to stock holders AND NAME the entity that perpetrated the fraud, then the stock holders of record would be entitled to 3 x's damages or something of the like.
What's missing? Rufus has not named a defendent or accused a named entity that was responsible for excessive NSS. Nor has Rufus proven a NSS ever existed. Maybe it happened. Maybe not. Either way, the onus is on Rufus or CSHD to bring charges against an entity.
Now, what about the damages caused by NSS? If I were representing an entity accused of NSS'ing CSHD, I'd use the recent action against Rufus and Company to show the court that it was NOT any NSS or short selling that caused the damage to shareholders. The damage was caused by Rufus pumping the stock and lying about assets which caused the stock price to plummet once folks started figuring it out followed by the SEC halt.
Awesome, Spec! Love it.
Rufus take note. This is the definition of short squeeze:

VW briefly world top company as shortsellers caught

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Volkswagen briefly became the world's biggest company by market value Tuesday, as short sellers continued to pile into the stock on weekend news Porsche had bought up much of VW's remaining free float.
They actually have some value.
Is this the first time the market gained AFTER Bush's White House made a statement? LOL!
