news has been looming every week, I think folks are about loomed out ... lol. It is not the first time I have seen posters claim that news was going to occur within a day or two and then it didn't. Personally, I always keep in the back of my mind that some people may be playing other people for trading ops and maybe even playing with more than one identity depending on their current trading sentiment. Even if this isn't true here, one should always suspect that it is when dealing with pinkies and BBs. JMO. I wouldn't count on news until you see it with your own eyes.
rags
that's the way it looks to me as well .. eom
thanks penny. I was surprised to see Friday's closing this morning. Maybe interest is rising for a reason other than MMs looking for a new trading range.
sigh .. eom
Hey Stoc, stop resetting that darned clock!!! no wonder I am over-sleeping.
In many ways, it's a thankless job so I'll give anyone a big pat on the back who tends to keep up with these message boards.
I think so, from off shore accounts, and some other countries (possibly Canada).
You have been honest and open-minded about the concerns of others here. That is appreciated. I agree with your position and it jives with the current concerns of the financial markets. I hate it but it's just a fact.
a lot of people are showing back up, looks like the price is getting right for a bottom?
I don't speak to Gil, it is not a free phone call .. lol
I'll take half an enchilada and a margarita w\ no salt please.
Do you have any idea about how many of today's sales looked to be retail (e.g. etrd, etc.) as opposed to "other".
Dang, I knew you was in there you wascly wabbit! I'm already broke so I have the luxury of not caring anymore. Everyone needs to have this type of freedom!
Alright, come out from behind those bushes I know you're in there!
I've been expecting something from the company before now, but surely they will get us something to sink our teeth into this week (last full week of 1st quarter)? heh.. ! Where's my rolaids and excedrin.
Snow, are you working for AUTO?
If only we gnu.
You do us all a great service and I am very grateful to you.
Stay safe and looking forward to your return.
I think that the terms of a contract would have to satisfy 2 parties, the financier and the client. I don't think a finacier would front the money without knowing the terms and the safety margin (from the DD being done). I think it would all have to happen within the same time frame. So, I haven't gotten to the same conclusion that you have as I think that a financier is in the wings. Doesn't mean I am right but I sure hope that you aren't seeing it more clearly than I am. It wouldn't be the first time my thoughts have been muddied though so I am not doubting you completely.
Do you think they are stringing a client along without the funding to close on the deal? That would spoil my lunch. I certainly hope they have the financial backing to be able to close the deal. It wouldn't make sense to me that a client would still be dealing with GSII if they didn't.
I think they mean funding commence for their client. They would need to complete the DD before they could close the contract. We all know that the project has not closed so how could the funding commence? I don't think anybody thought this. This makes it sound like they have the vehicle to provide the funding for the contract IMO.
I have to say that I am glad to see it even if it wasn't the meats and potatoes type of PR that we were hoping for. I am especially glad to see that the $100MM project is still in play. I was losing confidence that this was the case. Looks like a lot is going on and this is the first that I have heard about an expanding sales force and outreach program to hospitals. You kind of figured that this should be going on but never actually heard them talk about it. Maybe I'm a fool, but I am Ok with this PR and it will keep me hanging on for more.
I suppose we will see if this is a credible PR firm by whether their "aggressive buy" recommendation makes those who listen to them a lot of money. Hopefully, they have more insight concerning what is going to happen this year than we do since our perception of reality suffers considerably from the company's delay on the production of its promises. I admit that I am giving them the benefit of the doubt by stating "delay". Just wishful thinking on my part since I am riding this bull one for the full 8 seconds.
rags
I hope that he listens to you. Today's Friday so I guess there is not much to expect today. glta and have a great weekend.
I see your point. eom
It would seem more appropriate that the company release the completion of a contract before making revenue projections. Can you imagine the outrage if actual revenue projections were stated for 2008 with us knowing that they have not published the completion of any major deal? No, there has to be some level of growth to measure before you can project a trend. While I grasp at GS's optimism for the company, I don't think the company is undervalued until they show that they have achieved some level of revenues. At this point, value is only a measure of promise. The longer the wait between the promises that have been made and their realization, the less those promises have value. We are waiting for the beef and it doesn't have to be a $100MM deal. At this point, all we need is enough revenue activity for the company to show they have backing and have convinced customers that they are a company that will be there for a while.
He's sitting with a low bid IMO jersey. He's gaming the board.
So, if a company says they are not going to obtain $100MM in revenue this year that means that they won't have any business. That makes about as much sense as saying that if they don't raise taxes that we won't be taxed this year. I am usually pretty careful at calling someone a basher but I think you are fitting the bill very well as I don't think you are that stupid. It's obvious you are sitting somewhere in the low .02s trying to fill.
Today looks like it is tipping the scales as well!! lol .eom
I believe the elapsed time until the next PR should fall into this calculation. I believe jersey may have miscalculated the value of g.
Dt = Sq. root of (2Dx/g)
Hope this helps.
sounds right, thanks..eom
so was it the lack of submittal of the financials that warranted the skull and crossbones or the spam attack?
Why not wait until the company gives them something to promote rather than just "promote" for the sake of harvesting investors? Ideally the company hired this firm on because they will have something forthcoming in the near future and they don't want them to just hype the stock. Sounds like you just want out and want enough excitement to exit asap. That is not in the longs best interest but I can see your need.
Investors are much smarter than they were a couple of years ago as many have experienced scams and are learning the ways of the management of some pinkies selling into pumps. The best way to get this company moving is for the company to come through for us with its promises and give our new PR firm some meat to promote rather than empty hype. We all know but shouldn't lose sight of this fact. The best promotion we could have is for the firm to primarily target new clients for the company and target investors secondarily. That would truely show that the company knows where the bottom line is and what it needs to do to grow.
Please e-mail the contacts in the PR and let them know your concern. I think it would be good for the company to hear this criticism and it may be constructive for future PRs. ty
If AFs do show up and the company comes through with those revenue producing contracts that we have been waiting (and waiting ....) for, then it will be dandy quarter for sure! I have been holding since early October and expect the company to give me something to rest my hat on before the end of this quarter or it will be time to move on. I am hoping the the hiring of the PR firm is motivated by the need to spread good news of a contract and a sound financial base of operations.
Hiring a PR firm has both positive and negative connotations depending on the motivation behind it. Is the company coming through with some good stuff and wanting to spread the news or does the company need financing and need to beef up the SP while it sells shares? People will wait to find out which way this wind is blowing IMO. glta and hoping the wind is in our favor.
That's true CEOs who respond to these idiots who constantly attack pinkies could waste a lot of time reacting to events over which they have no control. They do better to not publically respond to every idiot out there. Sometimes, competitors will start these type of spam promotions against a company just to try to smear their public image. The more a company responds, the more people hear about the initial event in the first place. If they do not show dilution, then those who do their DD will be able to make the proper assumptions IMO.
Doesn't seem like the spam attack was too extensive or effective for the instigators. I think it was instigated by someone wanting out and was a small operation (but big enough to get the attention of spam tracking research ware). Looks like the idea that we were possibly going to get news within two weeks (which didn't happen) was taken advantage of by someone. If the company would have put out fluff news during this time and we saw a lot of dumping, then the company would be suspect but that didn't happen. I think the company is just struggling to close on a deal or a filing. Let's just hope the struggle reaps success when its over and done with.
All IMO.
ROOOAAAARRRRRRR !!!!!! ... Okay, i'm crawling back into my cave until spring. somebody shake the mountain when its time to party.
