I hope Henrik Alex sends B. Riley a bill since they used his price target.
Sorry nelson. I'm a little slow today.
nelson I'll have to take your word for it, but in my book it is a pretty cut and dry conflict of interest.
re: BW This made me chuckle. The largest shareholder is B. Riley Financial. The CEO of BW is also the CEO of B. Riley Financial. Today B. Riley intiated a buy rating.
hweb I shorted some QQQ this morning as a hedge to my long positions.
The fed says there's nothing to worry about.
larrry did you see that NTN is doing a reverse merger with a biotech?
RVP filed an 8-k announcing a big contract.
Retractable Technologies, Inc. (“Retractable”) (NYSE American: RVP) announces that on February 12, 2021, it was awarded a firm fixed price and cost reimbursement contract and purchase order by the Department of Health and Human Services to supply low dead space safety syringes. The base price for the contract and purchase order is $54,217,800 for the five-month base period of performance (February 15, 2021 to July 14, 2021). Such price includes both the fixed price for the products as well as cost reimbursement for freight. The terms of the contract allow for extensions at the option of the U.S. government for up to seven additional one-month periods. If all option periods are exercised, the value of the contract could increase by an additional $92,772,680, including the price of the products and freight reimbursement. For each period, the freight cost is estimated at approximately 25% of the overall price.
hweb re: INTT I grabbed some shares at the open as well.
larrybaz CJJD just reported a disaster of a quarter and jumped from 1.35 to 1.75. I hope you were able to take advantage of that spike.
AVNW also announced a resumption of their share buyback.
hweb re: KTCC This is a red flag for me. On the surface, an inventory reclassification does seem like it would be material enough to involve an internal audit and investigation.
The fact that this requires an investigation could mean that there are some issues that could affect the bottom line. If some of that inventory needs to be reserved, then this may involve more then shuffling some lines on the balance sheet.
larrybaz I hate it. the old site was much better.
I added some more AVNW this morning. I'm thankful for the pullback to low 50s. Thanks for posting the news. My news feed didn't pick it up.
blindmand I don't think the race is over between AVNW and CRNT.
blindman the market doesn't seem to validate that opinion. AVNW's revenues for the December q grew 36% while CRNT's revenues grew 4%.
nelson re: CRNT I shorted a small amount around 6. I would have liked to make a bigger bet, but I share your reservations about shorting a momo stock.
Add SEAC to the list of stocks filing to raise capital. SEAC filed an S-3 for up to $200m. That seems pretty ambitious for a company with a $46m market capitalization.
kbsf 5.33 is running again. This stock has worthless fundamentals, but It has been great for swing trading.
hweb regrettfully I'm out of tsri.
Good call on trimming some AVNW. I just added a few in the low 46s.
If I pawn my wife's diamonds and buy moissanite replacements and invest the excess in CTHR, should I tell her or hope she doesn't notice?
2morrowsGains re: IMMR I was going to buy some shares, but that $250m shelf offering that they filed yesterday is keeping me on the sidelines.
I have to wonder at what point the supply of new equity issuance starts to depress the markets ability to continue to rise. Between SPACs and companies raising equity, it is amazing how much capital is being raised. Just this morning alone. ISR priced $45m offering. NSPR priced $18m. SPCB priced $7m. IMMR which had a nice earnings preannouncement also filed a $250m mixed shelf offering yesterday.
hweb good call on cpsh 11 +. I grabbed some shares in the after hours yesterday, but I sold them way to early.
swampboots I can't speak for others, but I thought they would report better numbers. As to the stock price, it is a thinly traded stock and seems to have support in the 8s probably based on the balance sheet more then operating results.
PATI posted -.07 eps. The numbers are a bit disappointing based on what I've seen from other trucking companies.
BTuna they did mention that they had a significant increase in fy 21 risk insurance premium. I'm not sure how significant that will be to the bottom line, but it could be a factor. On the other hand, they have done a good job of improving margins, so I'm not sure what to expect.
Thanks hweb. Are you holding any PATI into earnings tomorrow?
nelson re: HALL I'm holding some shares as well. I like it as a play on book. It would be nice if they can run it up to book value.
re: SFL It looks like Bank of New York Mellon agrees. They filed a Form 13g reporting 5.37% ownership.
nelson re: SFL I agree. Once Seadrill completes their restructuring I think SFL will make a significant move. The uncertainty surrounding those drilling leases seems to be pressuring the stock. I expect Seadrill to ultimately exchange debt for equity and emerge from this restructuring with their leases continuing.
In the mean time I'm happy to collect the 9%+ dividend.
Congrats on TAIT. You have to wonder when sanity will return to the markets, but it is nice to take advantage of some of this craziness while it lasts.
kik re: kbsf I'm curious to see if they run it in the after hours. I going to hold some shares to see what happens.
AC 31.23
Does anyone know anything about this company? They preannounced this morning, and they expect to have a book value of 40.15 to 40.45.

hweb re: PATI
I saw the release as well. I haven't seen anything else as far as SEC filings or anything on their website. I'm assume they will put out a release Wednesday morning.
hweb re: STRT They did have another nice q. It is my second largest holding. I added some shares today. I really like the potential of the power tailgate with the f-150 and Silverado. The fact that the uptake rate for the Silverado power tailgate has exceeded expectations should translate to the newly launched similar option for the Ford pickup.
I wonder how much Andrew lost?
nelson I'm not sure what to think about a publicly traded company that is dabbling in trading junky low float stocks, but kudos to them for a good trade.
littlefish you are one of the best sluethers on the interwebs. Respect.
