McLaren... or 3 of the high end Teslas. LOL
Supreme would've been a great candidate for Aurora to buyout rather then Medreleaf. From what I hear, their weed is FIRE (lol) and they already have an agreement to supply Aurora and ABLE BCs supply chain. Good valuation compared to others, just no ones interested for some reason. Too bad Aurora has such sloppy aquisitions. Bruce cares a little more about WEEDs shareholder value IMO.
Also, order #871528 placed.
As far as the bought deal, I believe this is great news. Especially with constellation being involved, yet again. Paying it off in 2023 seems like a cake walk and not really dilutive for Canopy. Either its an easy payment to make in cash as they're making lots of money, or their share price is a lot closer to 100 by then and its roughly 4million shares. Based on their share price today thats only a dilution of 1.8% (I understand they may have more share O/S by then) but I would think in 2023 they'd be paying a good chunk of cash.
The next quarterly "pre announcement" caught me off guard. 22.5-23mil only gives a QoQ growth of 4-6%. I would imagine they're being conservative but why make this announcement today considering it's technically not that good on numbers? Bruce has said before some past reports, "oh I think we'll be looking around × amount of dollars in the upcoming report" (not a direct statement) and it's usually conservative and growth ends up being more. Any chance you think they'd wanna maximize the hype if the report blows us out of the water combined with royal assent? Is that even legal? We still track order numbers and they've been double lately vs. 6 months ago. A couple million more dollars in revenue seems off.
Canopy should be the main stock of everyones MJ portfolio 100%.
Unfortunately, a lot of the better robotics stocks are private or have high share prices, (google, irobot, northrop grumman.) So I'm personally looking for a company starting out and looking to grow exponentially over the next 20 years. In the meantime though, I'm holding the BOTZ etf. Roughly 25$. Össur HF is another one I'm looking at as they own touch bionics which is the leader in advances prosthetics.
Since I've drifted from our main Canopy topic I'll just throw in that I'm bummed that the Bedrocan strain is going to be discontinued. Not so much the company, as every other strain is garbage, but that Bedrocan Jack Herer. Damn. I'm going to stockpile it like crazy over the summer.
I'm pretty adamant on the weed industry as a whole. Canada plays, then beverages, then US plays and wherever else legalizes. But for the very long term plays I've been looking into robotics and solar.
Ps: Canopy SP has been fairly stable since the last half of Friday and all of today. Was expecting a big selloff but it's nice to see it sit in this range. Building a shelf around 38.
We're going global folks!
"Mr Trudeau's promise to legalise recreational marijuana has fuelled investment and speculation in the cannabis sector, with cultivators like APHRIA and CANOPY GROWTH becoming stock market darlings."

Congratulations on all the longs and traders of Canopy on this board. Today is history in the making!
Now to go smoke a victory joint, as is tradition!
One of my new favorites as well. I've ordered it 3-4 times in a row. Man, we got the same tastes for the chronic.
Balmoral
Bakerstreet
Bedrocan
(And Chocolate fodue whenever it comes back, damnit!)
Yes. My dog is my best friend in the world. He's turning 8 soon and has recently started to limp on and off, mainly after excercise. We've tried glucosamine and raw food, which has helped, but it still is there every now and then. I'm going to start giving him pure CBD oil to see how here is and hopefully the limp goes away completely. I will let you guys know!
For sure! I'm actually very interested in the sleep aide for personal reasons let alone the good news and fortune it brings for canopy.
Definitely not. Not saying that. Talking about in terms of catalysts people are hyped up for the vote. On various forms I've seen people saying this is the biggest push we'll get. Where I see actual rec sales date as being the best catalyst let alone when they actually put through royal ascent. Just asking opinions. Still holding long.
I know this week is hype af. But what are peoples opinions on the bill "officially" passing. (ie: when house passes ammendments and royal assent) are we thinking that is a bigger catalyst vs the vote June 7th What about day 1 of rec? Isn't THAT the biggest catalyst of them all? Just seen some talking of no big catalysts for a while after the vote which is why I ask. (Because that makes no sense) lol
Order #855900 placed just now.
Apparently they're voting on the packaging/branding amendments today. Fingers crossed!
Our dollar has had quite a swing the past 2 days. If you convert weeds share price at 36.74 to usd it equates to 28.39 as of right now. CAD/USD is 0.7727
I want to ask, with trump signing "the right to try" bill today, does that make medical federally legal in the states? Or is it still a grey area? Because we might see some major moves soon if it is!
Usually I want the CAD dollar to strengthen but today its up over 1.2% vs. USD causing WEED to be down and CGC up. Can't win them all!
100% correct. Its funny, my original plan 3 years ago with Canopy, was to sell on rec... but now I feel like I'll sell everything else and keep Canopy, perhaps even add more! They just keep impressing me daily. So many things unfolding, so many untouched markets that they will take the helm of and lead the pack. They will be the Anheuser Busch of marijuana. Give it 10 years and I can't even imagine what they'll have accomplished. As Bruce stated, "a disruption of multiple markets".
Yes. I found this when the JV was first announced. Click the reply from this post
The BMO coverage today was awesome. It was very conservative; using "only 65%" of full production scale for its analysis, yet still, giving it a outperform rating at estimated 45$ per share. What's even better is that their numbers were off and even lower than real capacity.
Page 24 shows Canopy at only 560,000 sq ft. currently, when we know that number is 2.4million plus the Vert space recently licensed. Not only that but it states 3.96million total capacity in future which is also wrong as its truly 5.6million.
The estimates, although extremely conservative, STILL give Canopy a higher price target and an outperform rating.
Looks good to me.
Future growth n schit.
I was hoping we'd pull back. Too quick on the way up. If we can consolidate and build a shelf around 37 next week that'd be ideal. Cool off those RSI levels. Although when I checked yesterday and this morning, a lot of main news sources didn't have articles on the graduation to NYSE. We will see if people catch on over the weekend.
If you compare CGC and the DOW or S&P 500, you will see that their trading patterns are pretty damn close to the same now. The whole market will effect this stock a bit more now IMO. The same thing happened with CRON.
I have real time on lots of apps and websites. I just can't see premarket charts for some reason without a 15min delay. All good though we're live now.
You're thinking of Aurora Sky. Thats ACB lol
What websites/apps do you guys use for checking realtime on premarket?
Yup. My plan was to always have a trade as a plan B. It was just the first step to make money quick. After putting my cash down on Canopy almost 3years ago now, I've luckily got to skip quite a few steps on the way up! Looking into doing things I love for a living after this. I appreciate this board immensely, and I'd be 100% in on the Canopy bbq and smoke up one day with you all!
He just commented on the post to clarify hes not signed on with anyone
I'm very happy with the interview. I love how Bruce mentioned beverages right off the bat, because thats what Cramer wants to hear. Partnering with Constellation for future beverage products, gave insight to him about international opportunities, sleep aids, animal and human medical trials. He did exactly how we thought he would, amazing. Cramer saying Canopy is probably the best weed sector play is yuge! I think we won over Jimbo, boys.
Yes, I completely agree. I'm not the biggest fan of him myself, but he has many fans. When he last talked about the weed sector he only specified on the Canadian market, and how much projection there is from pot alone. He didn't factor in global oppurtunity let alone all the health/medical, oils, beverages etc. Into the mix. If Bruce can keep his cool as usual, and give him some exposure (along with his fans) to all that, then it's a plus for us. Even if he only has 5 minutes. All of this right before we list on the NYSE. Exciting times.
Bruce is the perfect person for Cramers take on the weed sector. There is a lot of hype and Cramer thinks the valuations are astronomical. He will try to throw Bruce off but hes in for a surprise. Bruce can sell water to a fish and I hope he proves Cramer how insanely big this business is about to become. Especially Canopys business. And people will follow.
Ps; imagine having Terry Booth on there? That'd be a disaster.
Nice local news giving more specific details on Tweeds expansion.

Canopy has a proven track record, he said. The company has 2.4 million square feet of licensed production space across the country.
“And we’ll see where we are at on Friday,” Sinclair added in reference to Health Canada’s predilection for announcing new licences on Fridays.
Damnit Canopy whats happening Friday? Haha

Keep in mind what happened with CRON when it first listed on the NASDAQ
I thought it was soon but DBrown pointed out that it looks like the end of June based on estimates from https://web.tmxmoney.com/earnings.php?qm_symbol=WEED I believe it's because it'll be a year end report.
Anyone know when Canopys next earnings release is? Usually 2nd week of May, right?
This reply is why the late sell off CES2002
Feds made an announcement that they'll hike the rates in June. Look at SPY or DJIA. Very correlated at the end of day. Kinda sucks that the US market can cut down a good rally like that.
