I like the signal idea too. I don't use twitter or anything like that, but maybe someone who does can pass the idea to that lady that has been promoting flying the AMC banners. Whe may have the ability to get something like that done.
Someone should come up with a spotlight that signals "AMC' into the sky, instead of the bat signal
It is not 'still the same thing.
He did not 'sell out'.
He traded options on the side.
He was talking about options.
"Collins told Benzinga he's currently holding stock, opposed to options contracts. However, he noted he has bought call options on the stock five or six times over the last eight months. One of those trades resulted in profits of just under $1 million, according to Collins."
Fact or accusation?
Slander?
(reworded to see if there is glue in this one)
It has been said that trading as a group is always a disaster waiting to happen. Then it was said that every fund is a group. Then there was mentioned reputable firms.
That is confusing to me.
Re: Hattori Hanzo post# 88669
"Every fund is comprised of individuals, whether it be solo, or on behalf of pension funds etc"
Re: Hattori Hanzo post# 88645
"I do believe trading as a group is an effing disaster waiting to happen, always. GL"
Re: Hattori Hanzo post# 88640
"The term “investment firm” is incredibly vague. What reputable firms are buying and in what kind of numbers?"
If they don't need to, please explain all the FTD's.
I wasn't sure if it was intentional, mistakenly stated, or just stupidity.
Some people find it hard to understand what the AMC movement is.
Did you miss my other post?

Question: Is a hedge fund manager trading AMC stock trading for a group of individuals?
Interesting. Maybe AA used some profits to buy back his shares he sold, would love to see something like that.
what?? I must have missed it.

I understand your post.
Years ago I told my son-in-law that the stock market was created by the 'elites' as a way to steal money from the 'average' guy.
I think that it wrong that they were allowed to do it.
Yes, I agree with you that something is wrong.
If there was a fair market and we didn't allow millions upon millions of naked short shares your fair market value is way off.
I do not consider wanting a fair market for all and wanting market rules be followed to be a "stupid pet trick"
Just to correct an earlier post from someone :
AMC 52 Week Range 5.26 - 72.62
What is that?
Thank you Karlchen for the post.
I always wondered why no one posted a more realistic understanding of the AMC MOASS and Peak Price.
I won't be scared away with talk of "not enough money in the world to cover"
Sometimes it seems that a lot of information is twisted a bit to mis-lead people who read this thread.
AMC heading to Venus altitude?

You think it was cheaper in the 20's - 30's- 40's? You think the vcr killed tv? Automobiles killed horse travel but hey, there are still a lot of horses around. I guess in-home cooking is going to kill all the eat-out business.
Entertainment is bad business? ha ha. Even during the great depression and the prohibition era people sought out entertainment.
I think I should start a company making and selling pecker-gnat swatters. I could probably make a fortune here. AMC thread seems to attract a ton of them.
Really close to the same % also. Simply amazing.
AMC PPS going to have to get a lot froggier than this before I jump.
Tracking? I think they have been reading and posting here for a long time.
The pre-market drop to exchange opening looks like it had to be planned.
I must have missed seeing posts about this:
Jan. 13 (UPI) -- The Godfather will return to select movie theaters in honor of its 50th anniversary.
Paramount Pictures said in a press release Thursday that the 1972 film will have a limited theatrical release at AMC Theatres in the United States.

I was trying to compare charts on AMC/GME/CLOV/SNDL but kept getting confused on which chart was which while I was looking at them. Apparently they are all trading exactly alike.
Long AMC.
Are you saying that Citadel has absolutely no involvement with AMC?
What happens when T.A. recalls shares to issue a new CUSIP?
AMC float in Rosebowl Parade. Adam Aaron on the float.
Didn't see a 'to the moon' flag. Would have been nice.
I don't know much about stocks at all, but I am wondering where they are going to get all the shares that the AMC Form 4 filings today say they are going to issue. ?
ie: below quote
"Does not include Shares issuable upon future vesting of equity grants, including 118,089 Shares issuable based upon continued service and 147,129 Shares issuable upon attainment of performance goals at target, which, when combined with the ownership reported above, would represent a total of 265,219 Shares"
AMC stock in top 100 of searches.

Ok. Then you are saying it may affect AMC to some degree?
Does this count?

"Once Evergrande is declared bankrupt and has a D status, the hedge funds can no longer use the Chinese paper and bonds as collateral. As a result, they are unable to meet multi-billion dollar margin requirements and must sell shares to cover margins or close short positions."
You don't understand that there was not nearly enough shares traded to cover the short position?
off-topic? Maybe?
Notification from Schwab that they are going to start charging $6.95 per trade on OTC stocks starting Dec 6.
Wonder if they think AMC may be going up to my target price pretty soon?
Nothing will ever change?
Oops. Went over $42.50 .... again.
