We have met at a stockholder meeting a couple of years back. Yes, I am desperate and trying everything I know to get help. Our neighbors are doing what they can to protect their own property. Forget this request for help. I have located a construction crew out of Bryan, Texas and they are on their way to help us out.
God knows, I hope you never find yourself in a similar situation. I only posted because I know that some of you posters live in this area and thought maybe I could get help. Guess not. Anyway, to those of you who are in this area, good luck! We will be complying with the mandatory evacuation asap!

HDY?? ....that's the problem......I was ONLY WATCHING!!
....got out a while ago at 2.80, but it's always on my radar.
.....you think its going to re-trace on Monday compliments of profit-taking? I'm considering a re-entry, but still worried the pps could s%*t the bed if the Africa concession falls through on appeal.........
....is that a 'guess,' a 'hope,' or did you hear something?
Screamin' ....if there was a leak about this pr, wouldn't the pps have gone in the other direction with the heavy volume?
Whatever the reason for the sell-off today was, for a long over-due change, the next trading day should finally be good for longs.
"Every trade is made with a seller and a BUYER." Unfortunately, that's even true of BK stocks (which always amazes me). The bottom line here, however, is a seemingly never-ending erosion of the pps. The question remains why....and plenty of theories have been put out here, but no solid answers....we're all just guessing.
Now it's a steal at 0.0295! ....this is getting more and more depressing day by day.......
CD sales not exactly doing well.......

US Albums Sales Continue to Struggle, Weekly Figures Dip
Date: september, 2005 (90105)
Album sales in the US continued to struggle last week, dipping below 10 million units. The
weekly tally of about 9.6 million units is a near-low for 2005, and represents a significant
drop of 11 percent over same-week figures last year. Overall, cumulative 2005 sales are
dragging behind comparable 2004 tallies by over 8 percent, part of a pronounced slide.
Meanwhile, a greatest hits album from Hilary Duff led the rankings with over 101,043 units,
which follows a debut week performance of 207,577 discs. Other heavy-sellers included
Mariah Carey, Jim Jones, Black Eyed Peas, and Brad Paisley.
The story of the last few years has been a continued CD sales slide, created in part by
heavy file-sharing levels. But despite the drops, CDs still account for a vast majority of total
revenues, while digital revenues are growing but modest. While white earbuds may be the
norm in metropolitan areas like New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, the
phenomenon is less prevalent in many other regions of the country. That makes it hard for
the industry to embrace digital models that could encourage further CD cannibalization,
despite the growing and inevitable transition towards digital formats.
.....hope it wasn't off of the shelf.......
Sting:
Sorry if that post was perceived as antagonistic, but that's not how it was intended. I invested in SCMI quite a while ago, and bought more because of the expected dividends. We got but the first round of those and 'poof' the rest we were told we would be receiving were gone. I bought another load when the rumors of GE started flying (even my broker at the time had heard them.....I'm on Ameritrade now), and those rumors seemed to eminate from "the inside." I could continue with all the missed expectations, but these have been posted about ad nauseum, but the above two were the ones that directly affected my investment decisions.
Sorry dude, what to expect in the future: who knows, but I feel like I've been played for a patsy.

Stiffling conversation certainly isn't my plan, but since you're missing my point (or I'm not explaining it well enough), I don't want to beat this to death, so I'll let it go,
Have a good day yourself.
....make that 'discounted.' Also note that I have on occasion posted DD here as well as 'whining posts.'
Posters, imo, should stop whining about whiners, just as when DD is posted no one complains about these.
Whining and complaining is at the current time justified, also imo....
Sting, I'm holding and not going anywhere at this juncture as I do see some potential here (not to mention I'm trapped by a paper loss). My point in my previous post was that the pps isn't some kind of arbirary entity that waxes and wanes at its own will.....it moves because of investor-perception, and the perception of this company at this particular point in time simply sucks: we've been lied to and the value of each share today reflects that.
That's not to say the potential herein won't pay off at a point down the road, and that's why we're all long and holding, because of the speculative potential inherent in a pk-stock such as this, but right now, this moment, today.......this slow, downward spiral blows, and posters should be allowed to say that without being countered by rose-colored-glasses-rhetoric.
"While some here choose to see every bit of news, or info as disaster, (these posts all coincide directly with any dip in the
SP, I've noticed)"
I've noticed that the dip in the share price coincides with expectations again not met by the company, with a response from 'the street' being appropriate to those missed expectations (seems that's how the market works), followed by those posts generated by that dip in the pps......under those circumstances, imo, any disparaging posts are more than well-deserved.
....reasonable hypothesis, Corey, although that's the least of my worries with that post. My concern is the Apprx! 7M, and how unbelievably far off that is from management's 145M projection.
"Units pressed in quarter: appx. 7 million @ appx. .035 avg."
Appx. 7 million? What's 'Appx' mean? Are you rounding up from 6.7 million?
And .035 avg? Why is this an average, as opposed to a fixed price?
I stand corrected.....my bad.
thanks.
....I've heard that, but I'm wondering if they're still positive enough to average down, or they're sucking their heads in like many of us (bagholders).....
Corey....fair 'nuff, but I'm starting to get a bad feeling; all that we can do is wait......
They already explained it:
"(3) Is it anticipated that any significant change in results of operations from the corresponding period for the last fiscal year will
be reflected by the earnings statements to be included in the subject report or portion thereof?
[ ] YES [X] No "
....we've been lied to.....
With all due respect (and best wishes for a profit on yer latest purchase), I could give a rat's ass when any member of this board makes a purchase, myself included.
I'm looking to see if any insiders or quasi-insiders are buying this pot-o-gold, as opposed to, for example, Jacobs' daughter unloading hers.
Is Mario packing his bags inbetween posting here, or is he putting his wallet where his mouth is?
We've been lied to......
Mario: Are you buying shares at these ridiculously low, bargain-basement prices? If so, when was the last time you bought any of these gems??
"What are your latest thoughts on SCMI?" Randy....probably nothing you want to hear lol......I think its dead money for at least the short-term........the merger is questionable somewhat in my mind, and if it falls through it won't be pretty.....we were lied to (dividends, 145M, etc).
I've got a respectable batch of shares and won't buy any more.....I'll either ride this into the ground or seriously consider bailing at a break-even point (obviously not if it looks like she's gonna run).
.....just sitting back and waiting to see how it all plays out (I'm sick of guessing....what good does it do....the pps is disgraceful).

CORRECTED: Copy-protected CDs
iPod-incompatible but sell well
ReutersFriday, August 5, 2005; 8:13 PM
Please read in third paragraph "...since Apple's Fairplay software is incompatible with protected Windows Media Audio
files..." instead of "... since Apple's Fairplay software is incompatible with Windows..." (Corrects to show that Fairplay is not
incompatible with the Windows operating system but rather is incompatible with Windows digital rights management
By Sue Zeidler
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Recent CDs by Foo Fighters and Dave Matthews Band
containing new anti-piracy technology are selling well despite a backlash among some
fans angry that the discs are incompatible with iPods, experts said on Thursday.
Aiming to curb piracy, labels like Sony BMG, which released both records, are rolling
out copy-protected albums in the United States, which let users make three exact
duplicates of a CD, and store files on a PC in Microsoft Corp.'s <MSFT.O>
Windows Media format.
But the copy-protection bars users from importing music onto iPods since Apple's
Fairplay software is incompatible with protected Windows Media Audio files.
"This (Foo Fighters) CD has a copy protection scheme that makes it totally useless to
30 million iPod owners," wrote C. Anderson of Plano, Texas on Amazon.com's
<AMZN.O> customer review link. "How could a band be so stupid as to alienate
such a huge percentage of their fans?"
About one-third of the 252 customer reviews of the Foo Fighters' CD this week on Amazon, which prominently displays the
fact the album is a copy-protected CD, complained about the copy protection.
Record executives said they were continuing talks with Apple Computer Inc. <AAPL.O> to make these CDs compatible with
iPods. In the meantime, Sony BMG also released versions of each album to Apple's iTunes service.
That appeased some iPod users, but others are still angry because they like to physically own a disc before importing it to
iPods.
American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu said it would benefit both Apple and record labels to resolve the issue.
"Apple's the leader in digital music. It doesn't make sense to release too many copy-protected CDs if they're incompatible with
iPods. But Apple could also be at risk if these CDs keep selling well," he said.
"It's up to Apple to flip the switch," said one record label executive.
Apple declined to comment on such talks. "We have not announced any plans to license Fairplay technology," said Apple
spokeswoman Natalie Kerris.
Meanwhile, record industry officials said the Dave Matthews and Foo Fighters CDs are selling well. "I haven't noticed them
selling off par with their past albums. In fact the Foo Fighters' first week was the best week they've ever had," said Geoff
Mayfield, director of charts at Billboard.
Since its mid-June release, the Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor, has sold more than 736,000 units, including 23,000 digital
copies, consistently ranking at the top of the charts, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Dave Matthews' "Stand Up" has sold 1.1 million units since its May release, including 56,000 digitally.
Other copy-protected albums recently released in the United States include EMI's latest Jermaine Dupri album.
EMI Group Plc <EMI.L> spokeswoman Jeanne Meyer cited success with earlier such efforts overseas. "Out of 127 million
copy protected CDs we've shipped into the market outside of the U.S. and U.K., we've had 0.02 percent inquiries of any
kind," she said.
Sony BMG, a joint venture between Japan's Sony Corp. <6758.T> and Germany's Bertelsmann <BERT.UL>, said users can
get the music onto iPods by transferring files to a PC, burning them to a CD, ripping those and transferring them into iTunes.
E-mail from a friend....I have no source (but I'm trying to get it):
Friday 5th August 2005
Talks tabled to put protected CDs on iPods 11:40AM
Record labels are in talks with Apple to find a way of making copy-protected CDs compatible with iTunes and iPods.
Major labels have recently released albums from a number of high-profile artists that include software to prevent them being ripped on a PC. As a result it has come in for scathing criticism from iPod owning fans of the Foo Fighters and Dave Matthews among others.
Sony BMG countered that the albums were also available through the iTunes Music Store, but that did little to appease people who prefer to own a physical copy of their music. Executives then added that talks with Apple are continuing and a solution is possibly imminent.
'It's up to Apple to flip the switch,' one said.
Despite the criticism, sales of the protected CDs do not appear to have been affected, with the Foo Fighters enjoying their best ever week.
A spokeswoman from EMI said that the company has received complaints came from just 0.02 per cent of buyers of the 127 million protected CDs it had sold.
"This worth reading and rereading IMO"
....Randy, you're preaching to the choir (mostly) but the fact remains this POS is under four stinking cents............

The President of SCMI responded to bashers saying their MEDIAMAX is worthless
The people who write comments like those don’t understand our technology. Of course there are ways of circumventing MediaMax (as there are for every control technology on the planet). The idea is to devise a methodology for keeping CASUAL copiers from making additional, unlimited copies of CDs for their friends… MediaMax has been a HUGE proven success for the major record companies who utilize it. That fact has been reported on TV, the radio, and major newspapers. For whatever reason, naysayers continue to harp on their circumvention schemes as the reason to declare our technology “worthless” when they should be smart enough to understand that those things are not relevant. Perhaps, they need to NOT understand, because understanding how MediaMax’s effectiveness would undercut their bashing of the product.
One last queston…Do you think the record companies would continue over the years to pay good money for something that doesn’t work? Under these challenging economic times (for them), every penny counts. They’re not idiots.
Hope this helps. More to come.

In a move to reduce piracy of copyrighted material by students, Hofstra University will offer students inexpensive, high-speed access to music and movies under a deal signed yesterday.
The deal with Ruckus Network Inc., of Herndon, Va., should also take the drain off campus computers and decrease viruses, spyware and adware obtained from illegal downloading, said Laurie Harvey, Hofstra's director of student computing services.
Ruckus, which launched last fall, targets college students by charging a per-semester fee and offering high-speed downloads on campus.
Ruckus hosts songs and movies on its computers on campus and directly connects those computers into the university's network, allowing subscribers to download songs in less than 10 seconds and feature-length movies in five to 10 minutes, Ruckus spokesman Josh Weiner said.
Ruckus charges $14.95 a semester for access to 1.2 million songs and $19.95 a semester for access to movies, or $29.95 a semester for both. The service has access to 4,000 movies, offering dozens of movies at any given time and regularly rotating the lineup.
