Is it at 10 Fah?
True. However anybody who had bought the product probably never even noticed the label and the majority would know exactly what they were smoking. I had a different lot # of the same LBS Sunset (which is gone now). When buying from the OCS website (or any other provincial store) the product is sorted and labeled as a HIGH THC INDICA. The display shows the correct THC/CBD. If I was expecting no buzz and then I was high all of a sudden that could be a problem. But if that was the case I would have never bought LBS Sunset.
I think we're allowed to get excited for quarter days right?
Never. The hardest part of doing DD in the early days was filtering out all the Walking Dead ("twd") news to try to find the rare Tweed news. :)
Canopy used to trade in Canada on the TSXV (The Toronto Stock Exchange's little bother) under the symbol CGC. In 2016 Canopy moved up to the big leagues (The TSX) and changed the symbol to WEED. That's why the board is closed. Not to be confused with the fact that since those days Canopy has begun trading on the NYSE in the USA under the symbol CGC again.
Congrats Fah! Fah-King awesome.
Oh Gocha. Delivra.
I need a reminder Wo. Maybe I'm getting sleepy but I'm missing the hint.
Hey Kush,
I have looked into "Fully Paid Security Lending" for a while now.
Not as easy for us Canadians. Unable to find any brokerage that offers the service in registered accounts (i.e. TFSA, RRSP, RESP) but Interactive Brokers offers the service in margin and cash accounts. I suspect you need to buy the US ticker though not $WEED.

Same people who predicted demise when Tweed hired Snoop (given his gangsta adolescence). They are bitter and jealous and unforgiving. After all, "it ain't no fun if the homies can't get none".
I hope so too. It's scary to think that people like Awesome etc. no doubt scared much smarter people out of investing in this company (going all the way back to the $2 stock price days). To any newbie - please do your own research and come to your own conclusions but I recommend following what the company actually does rather than the pps. When in doubt, ask yourself: Will Canopy be worth more this time next year when Tweed & Tonic is on shelves and Martha's Best Friend Premium Pet Food in your dog's bowl? Will Canopy be worth even more in 5 years when Canopy will be in your medicine cabinet, shower, pantry, and toiletry bag? Investing is not that hard if you think rationally.
I suspect the shorts are shorting in their pants again.
Just checking iHub for first time today. Martha Stewart. Wow Always know something big happened when I see 150+ new posts. Awesome.
Short answer is no. Long answer is in theory. Coles notes answer is it is almost impossible to reverse the law at this point. There could be changes to it... especially Provincially, but in summary Marijuana is legal in Canada and will always be so. The rest of the world is following.
A-Sound, Dog, etc. might not be good at picking the right stocks but they are good at what they do - Riling people up enough to respond to their ridiculousness. Kudos to them for that. But the iggy function is an easy fix.
Seriously Dbrown. What do you have to loose? Maybe there is a job that doesn't require relocation?
Go for it! When you get the job and are considering adding to your team, consider me please.
I will never disagree with that strategy.
Dbrown, I think that might be the biggest lesson in investing and the reason so many people are scared to take responsibility for their own $ and wealth. The majority of people do nothing with their savings and/or pay someone else with no motivation (and sometimes knowledge) to manage THEIR money.
Truth is... Investing is not that hard if you have medium to long term time frames. When you do, you simply need to do a little homework, take an interest in what you own, and ask yourself - Will this company be worth more tomorrow in 3, 5, or 10 years?
Hey Awesome. Welcome back. Sincerely hope things are going well for you.
But if you ever want to see real pictures of the product let me know. I've been sampling lots of the OCS products and can say without a doubt that the Leafs by Snoop and DNA Genetic flower are incredible. I have given a lot of it away to much more experienced connoisseurs than me who all agree it is top notch. My particular favourite is the DNA Lemon Skunk fyi.
No talks yet. I'd imagine those are part of future plans.
I love REITS for passive income. Sign me up so I can join the discussion with you folks about having a tenant. ;)
Great post Phat. I'm certain there were people in AOL chatrooms and on ICQ criticizing Amazon for not sticking to selling books and predicting doom and gloom for all the crazy investors who supported their out of control spending, lack of profit, and ambitious plans. ;) Reminds me of a few Canopy "fans"
"On May 16, 1997, Amazon debuted on the Nasdaq at $18 per share, with the goal of raising $54 million in its initial public offering. Just three years old at the time, the Seattle-based company had yet to make a profit, but Amazon's stock still managed to finish out its first day of trading having surged 31% above its IPO price.
Since then, Amazon shares have skyrocketed about 49,000% from its split-adjusted stock price close of $1.96 on day one, marking an absurd return for shareholders who were lucky enough to buy in early enough. "
We just have to wait for the "experts" to do their DD and put two and two together. 15,000 + stores and growing very fast + Tweed infused beverages and other products. Hmmmmm.
Thanks for sharing. Was just about to fork over $1.99. ;)
Yes. Eventually this will make big news. Over 15,000 stores in over a dozen countries. Canada's version of 7-11. Couche-Tard, Mac's, Circle K, On the Run, Winks, Daisy Mart etc.
Very significant.
"Canada’s largest legal pot grower and the largest convenience store operator are joining forces to sell recreational cannabis in Ontario.
Canopy Growth Corp. and Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. – parent of Circle K and Mac’s, among other brands – are expected to announce the details of their strategic partnership as early as Friday morning.
Laval, Que.-based Couche-Tard will also announce Friday a “trademark license agreement” with one of last month’s 25 Ontario retail cannabis lottery winners, who in turn is applying for one of the province’s first legal cannabis store permits to open a location with Canopy’s “Tweed” branding in London’s White Oaks neighbourhood on April 1."

Thanks for the heads up. Listening now.
Awesome video about how Tweed has changed Smiths Falls aired on US TV.

I'm even more excited than this as a consumer than an investor. Can't wait to stock my garage fridge.
"Canopy expects to sell a variety of form factors including non-caffeinated chocolate, five different kinds of beverages, and vape pens with new cartridge technology once Health Canada formally legalizes them, said Canopy CEO Bruce Linton. "
It's flowin' today. Not long before it becomes main stream. (See what I did there ;))
That's very realistic imo. Perhaps even conservative? Remember when you predicted $17 when the stock was close to $2?
Downgraded to hold? OK. That's what most of us have been doing for 5 years.
I know. I hardly read any of their articles because of that reason. Can say the same for all those experts and talking heads on TV (including Jim Cramer). Even Chris Parry seems to think CGC is a good investment these days. (4 years after warning all of us we would be "bag holders".
