I don't see a problem. If they succeed in getting this name, it's a plus. If they don't, they move on and take another name. Seems no big deal to me, and definately worth a try
It's been a niche product distributed through yoga studios, wellness centers and spas. The acquisition is probably just a financial operation, aimed at adding some assets to the balance sheet in exchange for some shares. IMO it won't add much value but it won't hurt much either.
www.bikinireadylifestyle.com got freshened up - lookin really good
Wow, thanks. After two months of whining that this company needed to focus more on marketing and retail, the last pieces of the puzzle are coming together now. I'm really happy with this news. Guess we might enjoy an amazing ride in the coming months and years
I think we're gonna see a new bunch of green investors soon. As most MJA stocks are a tough play right now, NRTI is a great opportunity to invest in the expected MJA boom, with the security of other revenue streams as a back-up.
I'm no trader so I haven't pocketed anything here yet. But I'm happy for you
I could make it even worse and point out that in worst case (part of) this revenue might never get recognised. Cause it's exactly to cover that risk that this accounting principle is in place. Otherwise the revenue would have been secured in 13Q3 already.
But I'm not in a bad mood - you're probably right in expecting over a million in revenue.
In the end everybody should make it's own estimate. That's what investing is about. It's because of our differences in approach that some people are more succesful in investing than others.
I think the "proper accounting principles" refer to the fact that revenue is recognized as sales are made to the retail consumer. This would mean that part of the initial 1.4M has already been turned into revenue during 13Q4, while the remaining part will become revenue in 14Q1 as soon as the products are sold to the public.
Revenue might well be above 1.4M, for all the reasons you give, but I don't think we'll get 1.4M added to the actual 14Q1 sales.
Well, at least I knew about OmEssentials (i do some dd now and then). It's no big deal anyway. It will improve the balance sheet slightly and that's exactly why these kind of deals are done (i know a few things about business too).
And hey, aside from my pessimism, I have been consistently positive about Bikini Ready on this forum (except that I didn't get the logo in the beginning but I really do like it now). It's the one NRTI brand that has all what it takes to become really big. In my humble opinion, of course. As ever
The last few times we had this kind of argument, CN, the stock price went up the day after, so I think we'll be good tomorrow. With many more positive days to come (;
When I see the market's (lack of) reaction to this PR, I think most people do perfectly understand what I mean. NRTI has some great products already. All their focus should be on marketing them to the public.
Trick 137 of The Big Financial Guy's Magic Book. At least they only buy the assets. Let's hope they go back to work at NRTI HQ. Those vitamin pills don't sell themselves(;
Amazon shows Martha Stewart Essentials and Bikini Ready sales are improving.
The website shows a sales ranking for products, each in its own category.
For MSE hair and nails:
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #47,747 in Health & Personal Care (See Top 100 in Health & Personal Care) #43 in Health & Personal Care > Vitamins & Dietary Supplements > Minerals > Multiminerals
For Bikini Ready Fashion Multivitamin:
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #8,335 in Health & Personal Care
These rankings might not seem impressive, but I've been looking at them before and I can assure they have improved drastically recently.
We're talking about 14Q2 sales here, but it definately seems NRTI is on the right track
I actually expect Bikini Ready to outsell MSE pretty soon. For 14Q1 we'll have to wait and see. Don't get me wrong, I tend to agree with your calculations, as I've been making them also with all kinds of assumptions. But based on that, 13Q4 would have been better also, so I tend to be more cautious now.
13Q4 sales figures have learned me to be very cautious with these kind of calculations. I had been making them over and over again and was already predicting a possible nice surprise, but got proven wrong when the actual sales figures arrived.
What you describe is the momentum we are all waiting for, but I'm not sure it has arrived already in 14Q1. Also I don't think the company gets 10 dollar for every product sold, as those retailers love making money too.
That's why I look for 1M. This way the real figure can only be better. And if it doesn't, 1M will still put the company on track to beat TRTC by the end of the year, which would be very benificial to us, I think, given the mysterious thought process of many of aspiring financial adventurers in this market.
Q1 will be good, but I'm worried expectations have been set a bit too high here and this might backfire on the SP. Revenue of 1M would be good IMO as it would be proof of steady growth.
These low volume buys are puzzling me too. I didn't know the OTC market before 'discovering' NRTI and I just don't get the way people are constantly trying to pimp and manipulate the stock prices. It looks to me that people who play these kind of games loose as often as they win.
I bought my shares and plan to hold 'm as this company grows, so I try not to be bothered by the price-of-the-day. But I see what you mean. For a stock traded at low volumes, there should be another way to calculate the price at the end of the day.
For NRTI it's all okay, cause you can see a good business behind the stocks and eventually these manipulations are all just small rimples on the way I guess. As soon as more buyers come in, a 1 share buy won't effect the price anymore
Did you send her the product? Well done
NRTI might have the right approach in this MJ thing. It looks to me that they are going for some high-end product with a clear benefit for users and high credentials (through the scientific board). They will probably end up with some niche product, but one with very high profit margins - leaving most of the companies in this overhyped MJ sector far behind.
It's not ridiculous.
The product has been in over 10.000 retail outlets for more than 4 months, gaining a revenu of nearly 200K per month. That's around 20 dollar revenu per shop per month.
I do agree these things take time and sales will most probably improve. But selling only a few bottles a month in each shop makes it also very clear that MS fans have not been running to the shops like crazy to try these new products.
Chances are Bikini Ready is going to bring in more money than MSE by the end of the year. Same for MJ when introduced.
The good news is this will all add up to a nice total in revenu.
I really don't see what's wrong with doing such calculations and why it would mean that I would have some hidden agenda.
I think I have a pretty good understanding of what this company is about. That's why I focus on Bikini Ready so much. IMO it has the biggest chance to become the asset that is going to add the most value when NRTI will be sold to a bigger company in a few years time.
And yes, I've read quite a few 10K's.
If most guys here don't want to discuss the capital issue, that's fine. But stop saying that I don't know what I'm talking about. Those who have done some real DD on this company will understand that the amount of shares issued will be an important factor on D-Day.
I really don't see why any question or remark that is not intended to immediately pump the SP is treated as the evil act of a renegade on this forum.
For those who have not understood this: the recent decline in SP is mainly due to the fact that the figures have shown that Martha Stewart is proven not to be the cash cow she was supposed to be. So it's gonna take some more capital to grow this company. That's not a blame for anyone involved. It's just a fact. And yes, I do believe the management is doing the right thing in this regard.
The good news, by the way, is that the shares at the current SP have become a real bargain. For those who are prepared to keep the money in for a timeframe of 1 to 3 years, the reward is definately going to be huge.
I'm sorry, CN, I'm not going to sell. Maybe we should just learn to tolerate each other (;
I'm sorry, I was not responding to the pullback. I just wanted to express my happiness about the way Bikini Ready is being promoted.
And I took the opportunity to say that I have not seen anybody discussing the issue yet of how this company is going to raise more capital.
The 10K explicitly says (p19): We will be required to raise additional funds through public or private financing, additional collaborative relationships or other arrangements until we are able to raise revenues to a point of positive cash flow. We believe our existing and available capital resources will be sufficient to satisfy our funding requirements through the first quarter of 2014. We are evaluating various options to further reduce our cash requirements to operate at a reduced rate, as well as options to raise additional funds, including loans and sale of common stock.
(p29): In February 2014 the Company increased the preferred stock, convertible Series G authorized shares to 400,000.
200K extra convertible shares could be 50M common shares one day. We are already at around 150M. Executives and directors have been rewarding themselves with over 5M shares already since the start of 2014. Those are the things that make it challenging for me to stay confident. But I stay long anyway
For an old-fashioned value investor like me, staying confident in NRTI is a real challenge. But last few days I once again saw such good marketing effort for Bikini Ready on their Facebook. They even promoted the Multi-vitamin at the MTV Movie Awards. To me, this product range has all it takes to become a huge success. And it's only getting started.
It comes with a warning for investors. Everyone here seems to ignore the extra money that this company needs at the moment. But yes, I remain confident that the reward for long term investors is gonna be really big.
Thanks for sharing CN
May your courage be an example for us all (;
I rest my case and go sit in a corner till this thing lightens up a bit. Sales in Q4 were not that impressive, but things got started and can only get better from here. Good luck all
Btw I'm long and confident
Things 'turn out' when you sell and take a profit or loss, but happy for you anyway
that's the spirit of a true investor lol
Tough times for our friends investing in trtc. I think prospects look better here from now on

that's more like it (;
you'll have to shout even harder lol
Sometimes one gets filosofical: if we would all agree not to sell below 0.3, the price would actually become 0.3 immediately (;
Dennis, I hate to say this, but we must be honest. Imo it looks like the 3M have already been booked in the 10K. You can see it in the results as negative income tax and in the balance sheet as money to receive. So the cash will show up in Q1 cash flow as it is received in january, but it won't add up to the bottom line anymore. If i'm not mistaken, this has already be done in Q4.
Maybe that's exactly what you're saying but I think we should put this straight for new people looking into NRTI. I do agree we could see a few M in sales in Q1. That would be awesome.
true
The thing is NRTI is working on this in silence. Any day from now the announcement of the new products can come and then it's gonna be BOOM. Those who buy now and have a little patience are gonna be rewarded big time. Just my opinion
Thanks CN. Some more info on CBD progress and an update on the brands is also what i'm looking for
I'm neither of both, but willing to learn. If you have studied it all, please tell me who the owner is of the infrastructure. It's not NRTI, or it would have been mentioned in their assets.
Their Property and equipment is valued at 21K in the last statement. So who is owning these green houses?
Which you best of luck, but please be careful with your money. You could as well end up in their green houses packaging herbs all day (;
The way you look at it, they could also start selling ice cream to increase revenue even further. And hot air from the green houses.
Trust me, I'm perfectly able to get the facts straight. I'm only inviting people to think about the value they are getting in exchange for the money they put in.
If you're not interested and only want the share price to go up as fast as possible, that's fine. But don't aks me then to get the facts straight
