Forgive me, I have not been following as closely. Have we gotten any real new news that indicates we should hear something regarding financials in the near future?
Since the reverse split was a date choosen by NES, my guess is, it will all come with some additional news that will be viewed as positive.
Up 11 percent this morning. What's up?
Thanks. I will research all of these, the next time I am looking to buy. Any thoughts on why SPWR has dipped in recent days despite continued good news?
I thought the fact the California Junior College system has decided to use SPWR panels in going solar was pretty significant.
For the exception of those that buy or sell NES between now and close, what happens to the price between now and then is irrelevant. It all comes down to the numbers in the 3rd Qtr report and how well the forward looking statement is perceived. Therefore, I am putting on hold my addiction of looking at the PPS until 1:30 pm pacific.
I am surprised that we haven’t seen any articles forecasting earnings tomorrow. It doesn't look like anyone has any idea what to expect. I contend, that if they are surprisingly good, we could see an explosive upswing of much more than 20 to 30 percent. However, it could easily got the other way. Either way, I will likely be holding for awhile longer.
My wife and I just used Sequenom for genetic testing in the first trimester. Fortunately, the results all came back well and we even discovered that we are expecting a boy.
We were very impressed with the service.
I have had a lot of luck in buying stock in companies that I like product(s). Sequenom falls under that category. However, when I pulled up their symbol, I was shocked to discover the price was so low.
This is either a great opportunity, or the price should be a red flag to stay away.
Boards generally offer both opinions from longs and shorts.
Can you please reply with your thoughts on why I should invest or stay away?
Hey Deatering,
I hope you don’t mind me reaching out to you regarding a possible stock tip. I would welcome a tip from you in the future because we appear to share similar intrest in stocks. We have both done well with SPWR and TSLA. If you a looking to take some profit in either one and in search for a place to re-invest, you may want to consider NES.
A few months ago, while keeping my orginal investement, I took some profit in TSLA. I sold approximently 30 shares at around $162 and purchased 2,000 shares of NES at $2.29. The simple reason for doing this, I believe NES has a greater chance of reaching $10.00 before TSLA reaches $700.
NES is sort of another enviromental play, allthough it is in the oil industry. NES is a leader in water purification for fracking. Their main compititor could have been Haliburton, but last QTR HAL decided to partner with NES.
This is one of many reasons why many believe NES could finally show a profit for this QTR when they announce their 3rd QTR results on Thursday Nov, 7th.
With SPWR and TSLA, we have both seen what can happen to a stock when they finally show the ability to be profitable. I am hoping for similar results with NES.
I hope you did not find this to much of an intrusuion. Again, I would welcome a tip from you in the futire. At some point I am going to take some profit in SPWR and will be looking to re-invest. However, I am with you in believing SPWR has long way to run in the next 12 months, so I will hold off on that move.
Best of luck trading,
Dan
Good News: It does appear this stock has hit near rock bottom. It is now November 1st and the lack of any information regarding the possible audit to get things back up and running has not dramatically dropped the share price any further.
It's doesn't make sense to sell, but I am losing my faith in a dramatic turnaround in the near future. I am now in the wait and see mentality.
FCPGALLTHEWAY would advise to just buy more shares at this rock bottom price.
I know the PPS will jump a little if there is an announcement of an expected date the financials will be released. However, I think a substantial jump in PPS will only come after we see financials.
Therefore, I plan to hold for now. If we get word the audit will happen, then at that time I will likely add to my position even though they will cost me a few more cents per share as compared to today’s cellar price.
Why SunPower's Shares Dropped Today
By Travis Hoium |
Although we don't believe in timing the market or panicking over market movements, we do like to keep an eye on big changes -- just in case they're material to our investing thesis.
What: Shares of solar manufacturer SunPower (NASDAQ: SPWR ) dropped as much as 12.9% today after reporting third quarter earnings.
So what: In the quarter, revenue was up slightly to $657.1 million and adjusted earnings per share rose from $0.03 a year ago to $0.44. That crushed the $0.25 estimate from Wall Street, and full year guidance of $1.30 to $1.50 per share in earnings is ahead of the current $1.23 estimate. So, why the drop?
On the conference call, management said that earnings next year would be around $1, below estimates of $1.23.
Now what: The reason earnings are expected to be down next year are dilution of the share count, as convertible bonds are counted in the EPS calculation, and costs associated with a 350 MW capacity expansion. Also, keep in mind that management has historically set a low bar for earnings and then leapt well over it, something it will probably do next year.
I took a deeper dive into earnings earlier today, which you can find here, but the bottom line is that long-term investors shouldn't be concerned. SunPower is profitable, and when its manufacturing facility comes online the earnings growth engine will kick into high gear. This is still a top stock in solar.
I wonder if we will get any news today.
Great question. I am big believer in SPWR, but am not purchasing more at this time. This is due in large part because the shares are in my self-managed ROTH and I do not plan to contribute again until mid April when I do my taxes I am currently up over 491 percent. Truthfully, at some point, I will look to take some profit and re-invest elsewhere.
I purchased both SPWR and FB in April of 2013, so I am having a really good night.
I just got good news with SPWR and FB blowing away The street. Hopefully, the good news will continue to roll in next week when NES announces. No similarities in the holdings other than a major pop in pps when SPWR and FB showed the ability to be profitable. NES could very well do the same with good results.
I'm a little surprised SPWR is trending down today. The 3rd QTR well be released at 4:05 pm (eastern) and there are a lot of indicators the numbers are going to be good with a major increase in earnings to approximately .25 per share, despite an expected 10 percent decline in revenue. Perhaps the market has already adjusted to these numbers. Hopefully, SPWR will beat the street again. If that happens, we could see a major pop after hours and an extended rally tomorrow.
I have not heard the rumors of BRK buying out SPWR, but anytime BRK gets involved in a company those rumors will naturally occur.
To me it doesn't make a lot of financial sense that BRK would first purchase approximately 1 Billion worth of SPWR products and then buy them out. Because that business is a large part of what sent SPWR stock soaring in the first place and would make any potential buy out literally exponentially more expensive. Therefore if BRK wanted to buy SPWR they should have done it already.
Why buy SPWR? The simple answer is they have a better product than their competitors. Sure, VHS beat our BETA, but ultimately the best product usually wins out in the market place.
Over 3,300 comments is bit much to take the time to read. However, I think I get the point.
Horrid environmental conditions in China will only create a spike in the demand for pharmaceuticals.
FCPG is one of six companies with the license to sell pharmaceuticals on-line, so the will profit with the increase demand.
We own stock at potentially pennies on the dollar in FCPG, so ultimately the day will come when we reap the rewards of the diseases created by un-breathable air and many other environmental concerns.
Does that accurately sum it up?
I agree with your reading of the tea leaves. The 3rd quarter results will likely be positive, but not out of the park.
If those are the results, how will they impact the PPS?
Due to the PPS already being depressed, I believe even moderately good news could have a significant impact because it would be an indication NES is turning the corner to being profitable. I am basing this opinion on three other stocks that I own (FB, SPWR, and TSLA), all of which saw a dramatic rise in share price as soon as they demonstrated an ability to be profitable.
What are your expectations for the PPS after the release of the 3rd QTR numbers?
It is fantastic news that an independent research firm concluded Sun Power panels showed a rate of loss of less than 0.2 percent, the best in the industry.
This research gives huge ammo to the independent contractors who sell Sun Power panels. Our family did over a year of research, and obtained several bids, before having Sun Power panels installed on our home about 18 months ago. I imagine, because of the size of the investment, many other solar costumers also do their due diligence before making the purchase.
Back then, the various salesman addressed the concern of production loss by pointing out everything is becoming more energy efficient. Therefore, solar panels may lose production over time, but that is offset by the lesser demand for energy with more efficient appliances and light bulbs.
With this new study, it now looks, we will become more energy efficient faster than the rate of production decline in Sun Power panels. This means salesman can accurately claim; solar customers bills may actually be cheaper 10 years from when they were originally installed.
For this to be true a customer would need to initially install enough panels to completely eliminate their bill because the cost of energy will continue to increase. Many solar customers install just enough panels to get them into a lower level KWH chargers. It now looks like the better financial move is to completely/or nearly eliminate the electric bill forever.
Put it all together: Salesman have a new tool to not just close more sales, but to sell more panels with each sale. This will positively affect the PPS next year.
In the meantime, it has already been a great year for share holders. I look forward to 3rd Qtr results on October, 30. Hopefully, they will make for a Happy Halloween.
If earnings once again exceed expectations, it's reasonable to believe SPWR could be headed to 50 dollars in the near future.
Interesting tweet by my hero Al Gore - In 2012, US fracking operations produced 280 billion gallons of toxic waste water. http://ow.ly/pEf7o
The Guardian - Fracking produces annual toxic waste water enough to flood Washington...Growing concerns over radiation risks as report finds widespread environmental damage on an unimaginable scale in the US
Gore is my hero because of his work to educate the public about environmental concerns. I responded to his tweet by saying, "This is why I recently purchased 2,000 shares of NES."
I have solar panels on my home and can testify they are awesome.
It will be a great day when America gains complete energy independence through renewable energy. But we are not there yet! Therefor fracking is necessary and the services NES provides is a necessity for the fracking industry.
Any idea why the sudden mini-surge this morning up to $2.41?
I'm the last fool in. The 261 is my purchase. I saw news was breaking and I used the $34 of cash I had an my brokerage account to get what I could. Now everything is frozen.
THEY FILED! But's what in them?

I applaud the continued excitement members of this board have towards FCPG. This despite months upon months of virtually no tangible information.
The activity and the level of research in FCPG posts far exceeds any other company I own. They include; TSLA, SPWR, WM, VZ, FB, and NES. All of which typically trade in the millions of shares a day and fortunately for me are in the positive since I purchased them.
I am not sure if your continued enthusiasm for FCPG is based on an actually belief that this is a true diamond in the rough, or you have so much money sunk into it that your financial futures depend on a dramatic turnaround. My guess, it is a bit of both.
Regardless, I hope your dedication will soon pay off. Until then, I will continue to read your posts as both a source of entertainment and potential knowledge. Good luck!
Thank you! My thoughts exactly. There are off course no guarantees, but in order to make a profit you have to sell at some time and now seemed like a good time as any for my TSLA shares.
The whole idea is to buy low and to sell high. I accomplished that with TSLA. I’m in low again with NES and feel like I am playing with house money because my 2,000 shares of NES are from the profit of TSLA while still maintaining my original investment.
I wish TSLA continued success. Honestly, I would like to see them so successful that we have need to drill for oil, but that won’t be any time soon. In the meantime, shale has major role to play in our nation’s energy future and I believe NES has a vital role to play in shale.
I have also seen a nearly 400 percent in my SPWR stock in the last year. The one thing SPWR and TSLA has in common is their PPS share dramatically jumped once they were able to show a profit. The same thing could very well happen with NES in the next 12-24 months. If they do reach profitability we could see a PPS of $15-$20 very soon after.
I just bought in. I have been following NES for about a month. This morning I sold 26 shares of TESLA for 167.40 at an over 400% profit and re-invested my gains with 2,000 shares of NES at $2.29 PPS. I still own 6 shares TESLA worth a little more than my original investment. Who thinks I made a wise move?
1dmg1, is this wishful thinking our real info?
We were pumped on the 19th. I think we all read the high volume last week as an indication the overdue financial reports would be released soon. Unfortunately, that may not be the case.
I did a search for FCPG on Twitter and found the following tweet:
@PennyDreamTeam Platinum Members saw 2,800% gains on Penny Stocks in 2 months! Subscribe today! Blog update: - $FCPG $IFUS $OTHM $MSLP
There is a good chance the high volume and uptick in the PPS was related to this pump and nothing else.

Hey FCPG (Bulldog),
Why not try e-mailing them in Chinese? You can use translate.google.com to translate your message from English. Keep your message short and to the point to avoid a mis-translation. If you get a reply, use the same web-site to convert it back to English.
Best of Luck,
Dan
Hello board,
I finally decided to post after visiting this board on a regular basis for several months. I am an FCPG stock holder. Unfortunately, I got in on what I think was the last pump and purchased at .25.
I have not dumped and cut my losses because I do see a lot of promise in this company. With that said, I can’t find much in these posts that are beyond speculation.
Maybe you can help with some of my questions.
1. What are the repercussions for not posting financial reports on a timely basis and has FCPG faced any penalties for failing to do so?
2. What real evidence do we have that FCPG is turning a profit?
3. Has any stock holder voted on anything?
4. Is there is an absolute drop-dead date for posting financial reports?
5. What is it about FCPG that keeps you hanging around?
I look forward to your responses and I enjoy the sports banter. For the past three seasons, I have been the San Diego Chargers beat writer for CBSSports. Unfortunately all the local writers were laid off at the end of last season. Hopefully, FCPG’s PPS will go up and I will get a new gig sometime soon.
