With over 120 acres of potential for development and just 10 minutes off of busy Interstate 15, American Green has taken the first step to transform Nipton into an effective hub for the production of various cannabis-based products as well as possible fully-licensed cultivation which includes a safe and appropriate approach to consumption. Located on the border between California and Nevada, the town is strategically positioned on the railway line going from Los Angeles through Las Vegas to Salt Lake City and beyond.
Initially, American Green and Nipton will focus on the bottling of fresh CBD-infused water direct from a nearby aquifer which the company will then seek to distribute throughout California (https://americangreencbd.com/faq/). Discussions are underway with several well-established edible and extraction companies that have expressed interest in having production facilities in the town as well -- all done paying strict adherence to regulatory guidelines. Ultimately, the company would like to offer a variety of commercial and recreational attractions including: CBD and mineral baths, cannabis-product retail outposts, artists-in-residence programs, culinary events, and Bed-and-Breakfast lodging to complete the charming small town experience. Company officials hope that this project will help to catalyze job creation and development within the town and surrounding communities, making Nipton a model for the cannabis industry's role in stimulating and accelerating the rebuilding of struggling small town economies throughout the US where cannabis products have been legalized.
Nipton's future plans include setting the standard for energy efficiency and environmentally responsible tourism. American Green intends to expand the existing solar farm, to move Nipton toward becoming a completely energy-independent town, including the development of the town's existing aquifer system for water supply. American Green anticipates job creation will occur naturally in building and development, as well as tourism, agriculture, entertainment, transportation, retail and more, presenting new opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. The company's management remains open to ideas, suggestions, partnerships and more as it moves the project forward and encourages its 50,000+ shareholders to contact the company through its website to suggest Nipton's future improvements (www.americangreen.com).

It can't be fake news! All the news articles, all the papers and all the TV channels, and all the internet new from San Diego to New York to Florida and all national and international news companies can't possibly be carrying the fake news. Maybe, one or two channels or one paper but, not 100s nationally, internationally, local and world wide around the whole earth can't be completely stupid, inaccurate or fake. ERBB either bought the town or they didn't. If they did buy the town and 120 acres with WATER 15 min from Primm, NV and an hour from Vegas, then the WATER alone could be worth $5-10 MILLION. ERBBs NAV is only 20 million.
Are you saying they don't own the town?????????????????? Show the link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over 100 news articles. Are you saying their all FAKE??? OR that all the news companies are stupid and fake?? How do you know all these 100s of articles are fake? Post the link.
Marijuana company owns the hotel, town, land, lot, stock, and barrel in a recreational marijuana State=California.
nav is 20m. The land could be worth 50m in a year. Town is only 15 min from Primm, NV Whisky Petes/roller coaster on NV border. An hour from Vegas. You can't smoke mj on your front porch in Vegas or in a hotel but, in Nipton you can. Marijuana company owns the town. Smoke walking down main street. Smoke in hotel room. Smoke on the corner. Smoke whenever you want.

Cannabis company buys town to create 'marijuana mecca'

Aug. 4 (UPI) -- One of the largest cannabis companies in they United States bought an entire town in hopes of constructing a "marijuana mecca."
Arizona-based company American Green Inc. announced it purchased the town of Nipton, Calif., with plans to convert the area into a marijuana-friendly tourist outpost.
"We thought that showing that there was a viable means of having a cannabis-friendly municipality and further making it energy independent could be a way of really inspiring folks to say, 'Why can't we do that here?'" project manager Stephen Shearin told Bloomberg.
The company purchased the 120-acre property, which includes a general store, a hotel, a school building and mineral baths, for about $5 million and plans to spend an additional $2.5 million to improve the town's infrastructure and expand the solar energy plant.
Shearin said American Green hopes the town will be able to provide more flexible, business-friendly local marijuana regulations than other areas where marijuana is legal.
"If you're outside on your porch, you will not have to worry about the local constabulary swinging by to give you a ticket," he told USA Today. "It will be cannabis-friendly first, but there will be appropriate policies in place."
Plans for the town include a facility to produce and bottle water infused with CBD, a cannabis component that does not produce a "high," as well as CBD-infused mineral baths, cannabis stores and artist-in-residence programs.
"The Gold Rush built this city." Shearin said. "The Green Rush can keep it moving the way people envisioned it years ago."

The name Weed already belongs to an old mill town in Northern Calfornia.
American Green Inc. announced Thursday it is buying all 80 acres of Nipton, which includes its Old West-style hotel, a handful of houses, an RV park and a coffee shop. Its plans are to transform the old Gold Rush town into what it calls "an energy-independent, cannabis-friendly hospitality destination."
The town's current owner, Roxanne Lang, said the sale is still in escrow, but confirmed American Green is the buyer. She declined to reveal price before the sale closes, but noted she and her late husband, Gerald Freeman, listed the property at $5 million when they put it up for sale last year.
Asked what her husband would think of the buyers' plans to turn Nipton into the pot paradise of the California desert, she laughed heartily.
"I think he would find a lot of humor in that," she finally said, adding that as a Libertarian Freeman had no problem with people using marijuana, and as a proponent of green power he'd be all in favor of energy independence. Over the years he'd installed a solar farm himself that provides much of the tiny town's electricity.
American Green says it plans to expand that farm and also bottle and sell cannabis-infused water from Nipton's plentiful aquifer, joint moves that would make the town green in more ways than one.
The buyers are also reaching out to edibles manufacturers and other pot-industry businesses, hoping they'll be interested in relocating to Nipton and bringing jobs with them.
The town's current residents number fewer than two dozen and one of its major sources of revenue is the California Lottery tickets the general store sells to people who cross the state line from Nevada

American Green Inc., a maker of cannabis products, is taking an unusual step to attract new customers as it capitalizes on California legalizing marijuana: It’s buying an entire town.
The company has acquired the tiny burg of Nipton, California, for about $5 million and plans to invest as much as $2.5 million over the next 18 months to create a pot-friendly tourist destination. The purchase includes 120 acres of land with a general store, a hotel, a school building and mineral baths.
American Green, based in Tempe, Arizona, will use the existing structures and build new ones — powered by renewable energy — to revitalize the town, said project manager Stephen Shearin. Ideally, the outpost will spawn imitators, he said.
“We thought that showing that there was a viable means of having a cannabis-friendly municipality and further making it energy independent could be a way of really inspiring folks to say, ‘Why can’t we do that here?'” he said.
The move shows how far marijuana has moved out of the shadows despite an uncertain federal policy outlook. With pot now legalized for recreational and medical use in California, Nevada and six other states, one in five American adults can consume the formerly taboo plant as they please. That’s created an opportunity for companies to try to make cannabis a more mainstream product.
Pamela Johnston, senior vice president at Electrum Partners, a cannabis industry advising and consulting firm, said restrictions on pot use and availability have limited tourism-related activities, but predicted it will be on par with other types of travel.
“But before we blink, it will soon outpace other niche affinity travel” like wine, she said.

Cannabis company buys entire California town to create marijuana tourist destination
Published time: 4 Aug, 2017 03:59
Edited time: 4 Aug, 2017 08:03
A 100-year-old ghost town founded during the California Gold Rush is being modernized for the “green rush” after a cannabis company purchased all the land, buildings and businesses for $5 million.
On Thursday, American Green, a marijuana technology company, announced they purchased a small town in San Bernardino County with the intention of turning it into the “the country's first energy-independent, cannabis-friendly hospitality destination.”
American Green, the largest and second oldest publicly traded cannabis company in the US, said they bought the town as part of a 120-acre land purchase. The company plans to keep the existing structures intact and build new ones that they hope will attract tourists and boost the local economy.
"This acquisition allows us to channel the myriad interests in cannabis production and consumption for an immediate positive impact to this community's members and to cannabis consumers across the country,” Gwyther said in a statement.
The company said it will start by bottling and distributing water infused with Cannabidiol (CBD), a cannabis compound that is believed to have medical benefits without making people feel “stoned.” Then, the company plans to spend $2.5 million over the next 18 months to revitalize the town, according to Bloomberg.
The company wants to develop the nearby aquifer system and expand the town’s existing solar farm to create a completely energy-independent town.
Tony Castrignano, who is the owner of the realty company making the sale, told the Las Vegas Journal Review that the current photovoltaic system provides up to 45 percent of the energy the town needs.
Ultimately, the company plans to host other marijuana-friendly businesses and events in town, including CBD and mineral baths, cannabis-product retail outposts, artists-in-residence programs, culinary events and Bed-and-Breakfast lodging.
The industry needs this wider acceptance to fuel its growth. Cowen & Co., a provider of investment and banking services, is optimistic companies will succeed and forecasts the legal weed business growing to $50 billion by 2026 from $6 billion in 2016.

American Green plans to include a new facility to manufacture water infused with CBD, the cannabis component that is typically associated with reducing pain and inflammation. The new Nipton will also have a production site for edible marijuana products, retail stores, and artist-in-residence programs.
The project reflects a shift toward making marijuana more appealing to a broader audience. This includes reaching beyond the stereotypical stoner aesthetic and making products with milder doses per serving size. American Green has also sought to expand sales by building a vending machine that uses biometric scanners to ensure customers are of age.

American Green, a marijuana-focused technology company and consultancy, has purchased the small town for close to $5 million with plans to turn Nipton into a pot-tourism destination.
The company envisions Nipton (population: 6, according to the last count in 2016) as a ganja-paradise, where visitors might someday tour a marijuana farm, shop the dispensaries, take a dip in the natural spring baths, and enjoy a toke outside a pot-friendly bed-and-breafast.
Stephen Shearin, a consultant working with American Green on the Nipton development project, told Business Insider that the company aims to "create a community that is accepting and understanding" of the use of marijuana, which is an illegal substance under federal law.

Arizona-based American Green bought 120 acres of land around the town, including a hotel, general store, a school building and mineral baths, Bloomberg reports. It plans to spend some US$2.5 million over the next 18 months reshaping the town into a cannabis destination.

Cannabis Company Buys Nipton, Calif. To Build Marijuana Paradise
Can weed revitalize struggling small towns?
08/03/2017 12:37 EDT | Updated 12 hours ago
Imagine a town where you can shop for cannabis products, attend marijuana cooking contests and take a bath in marijuana extract-infused water.
That's the idea behind American Green's purchase of an entire small town in the California desert. The company announced on Thursday it had spent US$5 million to buy the private land and businesses in Nipton, a town whose population is estimated at 20, in order to turn it into a marijuana tourism destination.
Nipton, about three hours by car from Los Angeles and an hour from Las Vegas, started its life in 1905 as a gold rush town and a railroad pit stop, and American Green President David Gwyther says he wants to see a new "Green Rush" come to the town.
"The cannabis revolution that's going on here in the U.S. has the power to completely revitalize communities in the same way gold did during the 19th century," he said in a statement.
