ah yes, love those acquisition deals, been playing with the bid on LNDC and managing to scarf up a few, I just keep playing with the algo's.
keep up the good work.
~~~~~~~
LNDC seems like shares are scarce, I haven't been filled all morning and had a $6.88 bid in there and nothing, so A or N you dont get filled.
I don't want to be too aggressive because the algorithm's can pick that up and run it up.(or down)
Hello, hopefully our World Leaders get up and running and work
together on resolving all the issues in the Euro Zone and elsewhere.
Until we get some sort of resolve, the market will be jittery, any
hint of a conclusion and my guess you won't have the chance to catch any lows, they will rocket.
The Euro seems poised at the moment to bounce here a little, tonight
will tell us for sure the direction, although I think a small clip down yet and KABOOM, up we go.
best of trades
Good Morning, the whole market is ignoring basic fundamentals for now,
even the dividend paying stocks are getting pounce just making it more attractive, soon the risk/reward ratio will be better in
stocks than Bonds, so once the picture becomes clearer over this
Euro zone drama, we should get a nice rally, I am sure there are
a lot of bottom feeders waiting to fill their share up next week, you have to be there first.
good luck LNDC 50ma $6.64 it holds I buy more
Diamond Foods elects two Oaktree representatives to board
Diamond Foods said two Oaktree Capital Management representatives joined its board following Wednesday's closing of a $225 million investment from the private equity firm.
Joining Diamond's (NASDAQ: DMND) board are Dean Hollis and Matthew Wilson.
Hollis, a senior adviser to Oaktree, brings to the table extensive experience in the consumer products industry. Until 2008, he was with ConAgra Foods for more than 20 years, where held several executive posts, including president and chief operating officer in its consumer foods and international operations.
Prior to Omaha-based ConAgra, (NYSE: CAG) maker of Orrville Redenbacher popcorn, Healthy Choice soups and frozen dinners and Reddi-wip, Hollis was with the TreeSweet Corp.
Hollis also serves on the boards of AdvancePierre Foods , Landec Corp. (NASDAQ: LNDC) and SmartBalance. (NASDAQ: SMBL)
Wilson, an Oaktree (NYSE: OAK) managing director based in Los Angeles, oversees the firm's investments in food and beverage, retail and consumer products. He joined Oaktree in 2007 after working at H.I.G. Capital, a private equity firm focused on middle-market companies. He's also worked at J.H. Whitney & Co.'s middle-market buyout group.
Wilson also serves on the board of privately held AdvancePierre Foods.
Oaktree's $225 million investment in Diamond Foods will help the San Francisco company recover from an accounting scandal. But given the pricey terms of the deal, many investors are struggling to assess the outlook for Diamond, maker of Pop Secret popcorn, Emerald nuts, Kettle chips and, of course, its namesake Diamond walnuts.
So the story is just beginning, the market is telling us
somebody wants shares and lots of them...
now hopefully we find a new base to live with after so long.
the new buyers are holding $7+ /share and they won't sell anytime soon i think........... we shall see in the next chapter.
much luck to all longs
One Famous quote that has stuck with me for many years from my Finance class was this...
"Management doesn't get paid to make shareholders comfortable.
We get paid to make shareholders Rich."
Mr. Robert Goizueta, the former chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company.
He was an ardent believer in maximizing shareholder wealth.
Modern Corporate Finance, 1990
well what are we talking about here, A Fairy Tale then? just like there is no such thing as Buy and Hold today, story stocks are history.
you either make it or break it today period!!!!
Landec LNDC has some solid fundamentals, and the only reason LNDC
lacks exposure is, again, lack of PR's.............
when management wakes the fcuk up and realize that they have share holders, maybe they can start by telling us the story, or are they hiding something?
fabulous, Landec-LNDC volume is low this morning, I can't see retail sellers because who is interested in this stock, I been trying to promote it for years and nobody is interested because, again, they
lack exposure. why you think investors like penny stocks, yeah, they
produce news release after news release and the share price reflects that, in Accounting 2 I was told, you can have all the greatest
fundamentals in the world, but if nobody is buying the stock, the share price will go nowhere.
Now, if LNDC would just update shareholders and the public about certain events, then perhaps LNDC share price will add some premium,
until then, let's keep watching the paint that never drys.
all the same, I'm adding this morning
BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
I'm thinking soon here we will see the market turning upward,
I'll be following the Euro tonight to get a feel what is transpiring
across the board. imo it looks like the market wants to go, depending on the dollar, things could get moving mighty fast
and the shorts will scramble to cover the bare asses fastttttttttt
I still remember the ticker tape trading days up in Wilkes Barre, PA.
woooo weeeee were those the good old days, Atlantic Richfield, Exxon, Two Guys and a slew others not around anymore.
yeah Im sure there is some hidden value here in LNDC its just when
will that be realized. I know Shawn Hackett did a report on LNDC
about 4 years ago, and Shawn has a good reputation for picking some good winners.
Maybe I'll write him and see if he can do an update on LNDC.
in fact he was targeting LNDC in the $12-$15 range that's why I got hooked on LNDC because I made money on his others, the only one now in TNSGF TNG>V a penny stock thats gained 111% in the last 3 weeks because he just put out a new BOLO on it and I was skeptical.
gone fishing for awhile, too nice out.
over all the years I been in LNDC< not too many interested in this stock, most investors on ihub are micro-penny flippers with big dreams.
I guess LNDC PR dept lacks finesse, even if they released small bits
and pieces to shareholders maybe others would get interested.
all we ever wait for is earnings then its good bye, sit and wait,
maybe instead of buying back stock pay shareholders a small dividend
or stop buying back stock and look for more growth opportunities
to make this company grow.
Companies have to be aggressive today to survive yet prudent enough
to survive in this economic environment.
well one thing for sure imo, I think LNDC finally moving up a few rungs into a new spot and hopefully establish a new base for share price.
all the better for all of us.
ok that's good, I try and practice what I read to learn, like the hedge funds, I do it all.
Convertible arbitrage, Emerging Markets, Event driven, Long/Short Equity, Managed futures, Currency, ETF's, Global Macro.
what I hate the most is the currency conversion when trading
over seas stocks, you have to be careful because you can get hit
pretty hard pretty quick with wide spreads.
as for LNDC, I think we'll all do alright, this stock is just off everybody's radar because they have no exposure, a lot of shareprice
has to do with news events that drive the stock price higher.
I guess this is just a dull business sector and nobody interested,
but Landec covers a lot of sectors imo.
well back to study, looking for a good day tomorrow.
