I hope BENA has LAIN, IAN, IIAN and IAIN on speed dial.
Ryan or Ryin, please spare us the the dramz.
It's time to buy when people start acting all hysterical.
Get a grip!
Wow, that is a huge prediction and I agree 100%. Between your pretzels and my beer predictions we are going to have a great happy hour.
Plus, it's a sign when they use four digits past the decimal.
My prediction for the announcement of huge news is July 27. My reasoning for predicting this date is because July 27 will be my 6th anniversary on I-hub. I hope you all agree that is a very compelling reason. To support what others have stated here, I have been through the buy out proccess in other stocks and there was no indication of leaked news or pps rise or volume increase ahead of the announcement, so this is why it is so difficult to buy more at this time. It is a pure guessing game aside from Bena. The natives were restless and I believe she was prompted to make that blog comment to settle us down here,so who knows.
Last night I was all fired up to buy more shares tomorrow, Monday, but today I have cooled off. Somebody give me some reasons to buy tomorrow and I will change my mind again. lol
Certainly, if there is indeed a buy out being planned the pps will be higher soon. Or, will Yorkville pull the rug from underneath us?
"Messes to clean up" before?.......a sale???
"Plus any buyout would have to be high enough to placate a lot of long-term shareholders." I've seen similar comments from posters here.
This is one argument for a buy out price I do not agree with. I think management could care less about hurting the common share holders feelings. They have shown no mercy to us for many years. Why should they change now? It is all business to them. They will get away with anything within the law to benefit themselves and throw us some crumbs if there are any left. They don't believe in good will in my opinion.
I would love to be wrong. Anyone have proof otherwise that management is suddenly taking into consideration the loyalty of their long time shareholders?
I'm just trying to keep it real for myself. I don't want to wake up some day to a .08 buyout price for us when I expect .50 and be blind sided.
The other side of the coin. I would rather take whatever we can get now in a buy out or merger, rather then getting nothing later. How is that possible? Anything is possible with Yorkies involved.
Like I said earlier, this endless guessing is getting very old. I am ready for something huge.
Silversmith, I really value your posts and have no reason to diagree with you. If that is the case, that NeoMedia is being bought out, we should all be buyingmore stock. I have been in this situation before and as soon as a buyout price is announced the pps shoots up to that price. But,we are so low now. Isn't there a general rule as to the maximum price the sale price is according to current price? If so, the buy out price would not be high enough for some here, but I would welcome a buy out. All this waiting and connecting the dots is very tiresome.
fair shareholder prediction price: .20, probably lower.
At any rate, the buy out price would be higher then we are today, so buying at this level would be very advantageous if we knew for sure.
Ryan, My suggestion for you is to go back to post number one and read every post through the years up until the last post today, then you will begin to have a clue on what is happening here and the why of this is going to be HUGE! I don't really understand why you are invested here if you have doubts. I see you are only member marked once. I believe some people are only here to raise doubts in others minds. It is sad but that's the way it is. Go figure. We are very proud of our investment and I think you can realize that someone raising so many questions is looked upon as not a real investor and has not done their research.
It is a great start for newbies to read all the posts from the beginning. Only then will you understand the HUGE potential.
Good luck! I was a newbie once too, many years ago. I feel your pain.
I remember reading about the word registry ad nauseum years past, now we don't have to worry about the word registry because of the built out ecosystem. Hallelujia!
This is going to be HUGE! Finally!
It looks fantastic to me again, and HUGE! Why would they take the warrents, indeed!?
It looks like NEOM is here to stay. GLTA!
I am convinced we will all be here tomorrow!
Ryan, You really seem to like Scanbuy today. Too bad you cannot buy into their stock as a common shareholder. There is a reason for this.
Still waiting for HUGE news from NEOM. Read between the lines and connect the dots.
But will it be HUGE news?
Yes, indeed! I wonder why she went running scared and tried to cover all her tracks. VERY unprofessional. This is what got us all in trouble in the past, listening to hearsay and pseudo-leaked news and buying on those false predictions. How many launches or predicted launches have we had? Promoting this type of leaked news is very unethical. We all know this, but few want to admit it.
Unfortunately, all of this looks like the NEOM of the past when I had written it off as a loss.
I remember a post way in the past where a poster had stated he thought the pps would be pumped up one more time for the longs to exit with their dignity. Maybe we have already had this a few months ago.
Almost 5 million traded and barely a change in pps. No manipulation? How many more shares into the float? Yotkie never stops.
Ryan, Don't worry about your tiny share holding, you can probably buy more shares with your next pay check.
NeoMedia has had plenty of time. They have been working on this tech for over ten years. How old is the patent? Plus, you have to think twice when you see the competition being agressive and out there already implementing their tech and we see no tangible results. No patience is needed. NEOM needs to be aggressive and settle the law suit or we will be passed by again. I am really hoping for a sale. Will there be any crumbs left for the common shareholder?
This tech is definitely hot. There was just a spot on FOX reporting about kiosks being set up in movie theatres where codes could be scanned and redeemed for coupons. I think they were talking about Sprint. I didn't catch it all. Why are we so
S L O W here? Very boring. Hoping things will change around the 21st. Why is this board so H-U-G-E-L-Y boring?!
Where is NEOM in all of this? Strange as usual in NEOMland and no one knows anything. We just sit here like idiots. Has anyone called management lately?
I remember Chaz calling me late one night. He sounded buzzed, way out of his league. I wouldn't mind a call now, but with some cohesive news.
edited: Picksit, you beat me to it. Good, I was not imagining things.
It's not a bad thing for the company to know we, the common shareholders, are all watching them and know every financial move they have made in the past.
I went back and read all of Silversmith's posts. Very good reading.
And you have only been here since May 11. Just think how the longs feel. Patience grasshopper.
My take on the Iian quote is that last week there was so much negativeness on this board, Bena and/or Iian thought it would be a good idea to throw a bone to the disgruntled here to settle the inmates down in the asylum. And it worked for a bit at least.
Iian may have said of extraordinary size and power: behemoth, Brobdingnagian, Bunyanesque, colossal, cyclopean, elephantine, enormous, gargantuan, giant, gigantesque, gigantic, herculean, heroic, immense, jumbo, mammoth, massive, massy, mastodonic, mighty, monster, monstrous, monumental, mountainous, prodigious, pythonic, stupendous, titanic, tremendous, vast. Informal walloping. Slang whopping.
So why did he say "huge? What does it mean?
nice buying in Frankfurt 0,011 € = 0,0153 $
Anyone have any updates???
Might be too late for those waiting on low to get back in.
All in my HO of course.
haha! "Old time" as in years in NEOM equal dog years, or something like that. And, more importantly, the Polish, such as youself, Paul and me, have weathered the centuries of oppression and have come out victorious. Perseverance is very important. My gut tells me we are in for a great week! Enjoy the fireworks.
Obviously, something is going on. The price has been artificially held in the same range, under .02, for a long time. At least many old time shareholders had plenty of time to average down.
I would like to see the original copy of the email Iian sent to Bena. Anyway, I don't see what the fuss is all about. I don't believe anything until it is in an official news release. And yes, I am one of the very lucky ones to have averaged way down earlier in the year. I am locked and loaded, no extra funds to invest. Happy 4th everyone. Let the fireworks begin. GLTA!
What and where is the big news everyone is talking about? I don't see any new news.
Was it in German? Is that why I missed it?
I am a long term believer of NEOM through thick and thin.... ten years plus!
But, it is not a sin to sell.....
Not, buy and hold.....but, buy and do your homework.
So many times we have been ahead of our time, but it is a "now or never" crossroads in my opinion.
We are here again at this milestone waiting for NEOM to raise it's flag! GLTA! And Happy 4th! If the NEOM flag is not raised, raise a cold one instead!
Then, if there is 350 times more dilution, buy 350 times more shares as I have. Just buy additional shares corresponding to the rate of dilution since your initial buy in price. You will sleep like a baby waiting. There is more than one way to skin a rabbit. GLTA!
HD, Limb fatigue or good drugs?
SOG, Very dry in Houston as well - 104 degrees in the shade today! I am waiting for a gusher from NEOM to cool me off - I have all my bets on NEOM not just being a mirage. GLTA!
O, they say smashing records tomorrow too - 108 degrees.
NEOM - smash some records too - do something!!!
The following is the most encouraging I have seen posted today.
From the NEOM website: "The list below is a brief selection. Some partners & customers are under NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) and can not be mentioned currently."
This is what keeps me going and hopes high. We don't know #### what is going on behind closed doors and I, for one, think it is all positive. GLTA!
Over 100 posts so far today as I am checking the board. I thought surely NEOM had been sold or breaking news with so many posts but, alas, the same old gibberish to kill time. Can't you find some bigger dots to connect? GLTA!
What would MFST pay for lil' ole NEOM! Speculate! It's fun!
And then, how much price per share? Yes, most of us have bought in again lower so it is a good game again. GLTA!

Google's Historic IPO Run: Beatable
The first buyers of Google stock look brilliant three years later, but other issues have far exceeded the search giant's nearly 500% gain
by Douglas MacMillan
Where was your money on the morning of Aug. 19, 2004?
In case you don't recognize the date, that's the day three years ago when Google (GOOG) became a public company after selling 22.5 million shares of stock at the now laughable price of $85.
You didn't get in on the ground floor? Well, maybe you think you're pretty smart anyway. Perhaps your money was lounging about in a beach house in Miami, one of the hottest real estate markets of the past few years. Perhaps you were wise enough to buy a hot commodity like copper. Or maybe you held out for the next big IPO.
Actually, an investment in Miami real estate might have returned about 34% over the past three years, based on median home prices there as tracked by the National Association of Realtors. Copper futures would have earned you more than 178% over that time frame, which is pretty good, if that's the sort of gain that thrills you. And in terms of IPOs, three of the best performers over the past three years were market operator IntercontinentalExchange (ICE), with a 415% return as of Aug. 15; that colorful rubber sandal maker named Crocs (CROX), up 367%; and outdoor advertising agency Focus Media Holding (FMCN), at 358%, according to Richard Peterson of Thomson Financial.
Sweet Returns
In truth, it would have been pretty darn hard to match the return on a Google share purchased in the IPO. Even with the market swoon of mid-2007, one share of GOOG was still worth $491.52 at the close on Aug. 16—a powerful 478% return on the IPO price.
Those who had the foresight or luck to plunk down their $85 for a share of Google are looking like the smartest investors of 2004. But they weren't: Some stocks, and we're not talking about penny stocks, did even better than Google the past three years.
BusinessWeek screened the Russell 1000 index of large- and midcap stocks trading on U.S. exchanges for the best performers since Google's IPO. We found 11 stocks that have yielded a higher three-year return. But beware: There's no guarantee this collection of hot stocks will stay in the fast lane for long. One week before this story went to print, BusinessWeek's screen showed three other companies that beat Google's stock performance. As the market began an especially steep slide the week of Aug. 13, SBA Communications (SBAC), General Cable (BGC), and Guess? Jeans (GES) all fell faster than GOOG, falling off our list in the process.
Even More Energized
Many of the stocks that outperformed GOOG have done so by virtue of real power—that is, they conduct business in the energy industry, where fuel prices have soared amid souring conditions in the Iraq War and natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina. Frontier Oil (FTO) has benefited directly—building an oil refining capacity of about 162,000 barrels a day at facilities in Cheyenne, Wyo., and El Dorado, Kan.—and returning investors 611.5%. Titanium Metals (TIE), meanwhile, prospered from the energy business more indirectly, creating titanium structures used in oil and gas drilling operations. Over the three years, Titanium Metals earned a whopping 1,023.2%.
Surprisingly, two GOOG beaters were venerable old names from the smokestack economy. One was Clinton (N.J.)-based Foster Wheeler (FWLT), a construction company that's shielded from the housing slump with its focus on the energy, pharmaceutical and environmental industries. Over three years, Foster Wheeler has returned investors 557%. Houston-based McDermott International (MDR), which supplied nuclear components to the Manhattan Project in the 1940s, earned 827.6% over the past three years, thanks in large measure to strong demand for the offshore drilling facilities it's been building.
Google didn't even rule the technology roost over the past three years. Silicon wafer manufacturer MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR) earned 530.9% and graphics chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA) earned 627.7%. And while those two may not be household names, one of the most seductive technology brands of all managed to outdo Google's post-IPO run: Apple's shares (AAPL) have soared 637.6% since the summer of GOOG, fueled by sales of iPods, iTunes, and a growing share of the personal computer market.
The Healthiest Gainer
But the fattest profit of all was produced by a company that specializes in skinny—NutriSystem (NTRI). That's because Chairman and CEO Michael Hagan led an overhaul of the Horsham (Pa.) weight-loss service in 2003 that stressed more eating options and lower monthly costs for customers.
NutriSystem's hefty returns have totaled nearly 3,000% over the past three years, six times better than the power of GOOG.
FINALLY, we are going to take off!! I got home tonight and saw 100 new posts here! Congratulations! There is a lot of interest. We are as good as gold. I am 100% in! Blast off!!!
Just look at the chart!!
I love all the new phone applications!
The Neustar call was even put at the top of the highlighted posts here and nothing came of it. That is a lot of hype on top of hype and of coursse we get frustrated. Where is that post now, or news to replace it?
Nothing has changed. No need to panic. This was the year, the summer, the month, the week it all comes together, Just do not start saying 2010 is the year or I will puke. Also, do not say summer doldrums, dog days of summer, etc. or I will hurl as well.
Waiting for the NEOM flag to be raised on Juy 4th!
NNEOM management, please sell NEOM as soon as possible.
I have the old i-phone. How do I get the new one? Do I need to let my current contract expire first? What do I do with the old i-phone once I get the new one? How much is the new one? Does it make any difference in cost if I have an i-phone already when I purchase the new one? Questions, questions??!! Thanking you in advance since I only have one post.
Your question is very loaded and you probably answered it youself.
Why don't you think they are dedicated to "research and development?" Because it's all been done. Here is a question for you, Why don't they need to research and develop? Answer: Because they are selliiiiiiiinnnnggggggg!!!!!
Don't make me say, "DUH"!
Be Confident,
Thanks! This is the discussion I wanted to hear. There are still high hopes for us lowly shareholders. I am with you on this sale and IPO. Yes, the price is way off. I am thinking more in the billion dollar range. I hope management reads this board. GLTA!
Zacked
Everyone should read Be Confident's post msg. #174151. The drip financing suggests a sale is imminent. I feel he is right on. I am trying to understand how the NEOM share holders would fit into the scheme of things with an IPO. Would our shares convert to shares in the IPO of the new conglomerate or would we be able to purchase IPO shares at a low level. I think many people are sorry that they did not buy into Google's original IPO. How much has Google'ss hareholders made from the original IPO? Now is our chance!
I have not seen any charity from mananagement to shareholder's in the past. I have to continue lighting candles and praying! Please be thankful/kind to us lowly shareholders when negotiating a sale!
Yes, I would be happy with a sale of NEOM. No need to build up the company first. Luckily, I loaded up earlier in this year. I could live with .20. What is the opinion of the type of payment for us if a sale occurs, cash or shares in the buying company? If some of you are bored, click on the user names of the posters here. You will see how many years some have been here. And, some of you remember fighting off the bashers on Raging Bull and the LOCH deal before I-hub. Sunday is a great day to take some time to look back and be thankful for where we are right now. GLTA! Light the rocket already!
