From the Motley Fool:
Releasing the agencies from government control could be the best option
According to Fannie and Freddie's shareholders, as well as many government officials, returning Fannie and Freddie to the shareholders is the best scenario that could produce a win-win situation for both shareholders and the government. And taxpayers could rest easier knowing that the companies are sufficiently capitalized to handle another crisis -- hence, no more possibility of bailouts.

I like your thinking but it's probably just market makers goofing around on a low volume day.
Any word on the legal proceedings? Sure would be nice to make her pay for her crimes...
Luna, any luck with the impending "wake up call" for Kathy?
LOL - Keep up the momentum!
Sure wish we had an update...
I stayed for the same reason, Boobie. I hope our patience pays off, but I sure will be unhappy if all this silence is because the doors are shuttered.
Possibly didn't get the manufacturing deal which forced a shutdown. May still be worth holding on to in case they are able to sell the technology. Unlikely we will ever see any money from that.
Good ideas come and go all the time...
That sure would be nice, wouldn't it?
It is nice to see 13 again, though!!! Lucky 13!!!
I have been to Laughlin many times. If we are going to go somewhere for a wake, I might suggest Pahrump instead. Kind of looks a lot like Tombstone, AZ. We can use the stock certificates as target practice for the shootout at the OK corral.
But at least we still have stock certificates at this point. Like most of you, I will hold out to the bitter end in the hope that some positive outcome will result from this ominous silence.
EVERYTHING that happens with this stock occurs with no news!!!
I think we all invested for a potential home run here. I'd be happy with a single at this point.
Everyone, enjoy the holidays. Kathy, as you are thinking of our stocking stuffer, how about a nice update with the status of our company. Sure would be great to see how our hard earned and invested dollars are doing.
Felice navidad!
Anyone who has looked at the price at the pump these days must realize that there is little impetus to change quickly. While DME has a huge number of advantages, it is definitely not on the front burner right now.
Other AFTC projects seem to be more likely sources of revenue, but they are clearly black ops right now.
Where is our update? No more excuses!!!
Even if Monda were to get a response, I think it would be something benign. There is obviously a reason Kathy is being quiet. Something is happening that she is prohibited from sharing. While I like to think that there is a buyout occurring, the other option is that she is closing the doors. Based on the stock price, it looks like people are betting on the latter.
Come on, Kathy, don't let us down here!
I look at manufacturing as being unlikely, simply because of the capital requirements needed to create a facility. For that, IMHO, they need a partner. I'm not sure they have one, but it would be far more likely that they sold to someone who already has that capability.
You hit it. There are only two possibilities. I like to think positively that they have a unique and great product and wouldn't give up on that. But with everyone out looking for a job, it only means they sold the company or are closing the doors.
JT, yours is the question of the day. I remember this question was asked about a year ago as well. Then Kathy came through with some info - though it took the threat of a lawsuit to pull it out of her.
Here we are in the dark again. Monda, you seem to have a trusted relationship with Kathy. Every single person on here (all 10 of us) that care about her company deserve some type of info.
Are they still in business? What is the plan? It is frustrating to be treated so callously.
Without anything to refute your statement, it's hard to stay positive. That hacked website excuse for no news is sounding awfully lame right now.
I actually don't mind being up 30%. Thanks to whoever bought at the ask for making my account look better!
Thank you for the earth shattering news, Luna!
Speaking of which, only 79 days until our NEXT update is due...
LOL. I am still drumming my fingers and sitting by my computer awaiting my update. Maybe I should go on a hunger strike until it shows up?
I couldn't agree more with y'all. These are great case studies that could benefit the organization as they move forward. Where are the positive results? Inquiring minds want to know.
If the current news blackout is because Kathy is waiting for the ink to dry on a contract, that would be worth waiting for!
The technology may be worth it to someone who can commercialize and manufacture it. I still think you hook up with Oberon and a major logistics firm and find a way to commercialize this with partners rather than on your own.
In the meantime we are into Thanksgiving week, the website is working fine, and we have no update.
Something is going on.... but what!??!?
Momentum appears to have slowed. It was a nice run up from the low 2's. At this point, the rally will stall until more positive news comes out.
But it was fun while it lasted!
Not being an architect, I'd guess that the building is maybe between 10,000 and 15,000 square feet.
You can look at the google photos someone posted a few slides back, maybe Tank.
When you walk in, office space is to the left and R&D is to the right. This is not a fortune 500 company, folks. This is a small R&D firm with a very specific niche market. They obviously did some great product development and testing from this facility. Do not judge a book by its cover.
The gamble here - and it is a gamble - is that someone is going to want this niche product to fulfill a need. Dream big - maybe it's the army or another branch of the military. Maybe there is another major customer out there who is willing to invest heavily in the technology.
Should that be the case, we all made a good bet. If not, we will all be left holding the bag for years to come.
Now, if we only had some news...
I just sat there for a moment and stared at the intraday chart. Flatlined. How depressing.
As always, Monda, I appreciate what you do for this board. I would love to be as optimistic as you are about this company.
I am not arguing that the sun comes out at night. If someone, anyone, makes me a promise, they lose credibility if they don't live up to the promise. There is literally NO EXCUSE for Kathy not issuing some type of communication to her investors.
We are the AFTC family. If your daughter says she will be home at 10 pm and she is not home by 10:30, she better have called. Otherwise, she's getting grounded when she does get home.
Can we ground Kathy?!?!?!
The website issue looks to be resolved. The forthcoming update issue has not.
Preparing an update for release has NOTHING to do with a website issue. If the update had been written in time, it would take a MAXIMUM of 5 minutes to post it to the website.
So the update has NOT been written. There is truly NO EXCUSE at this point for not being upfront with your investors. Something - good or bad - is going on behind the scenes. We can only hope it's good while lowering the lifeboats.
Don't judge a book by its' cover when you watch that presentation. We all know this is a small R&D company. And remember, Microsoft started in a garage much like this one.
The product they produce is rock solid. They historically have not had a lot of success selling it.
That said, where is our report, Kathy? Try missing a deadline with MY boss...
I appreciate that level of confidence, Monda, but the two events are truly mutually exclusive. I opened a godaddy account a couple of weeks ago and put a website up in an hour. Adding a pdf would literally take me two minutes. And I am no techy, trust me.
I own a lot of shares in this company. My expectations are high. My simple response is that as an investor and an owner, I deserve to be kept informed on what is happening with my investment.
The website getting hacked is just another excuse to me. And not a very good one.
I checked the website this morning. Nothing there. It's kind of like waking up on payday to discover direct deposit did not occur.
Helpless yet hopeful.
The news is going to be the same on Monday the 17th as it would have been on Friday the 14th. Friday would have made the self-imposed deadline, Monday actually falls after. So if you're a proactive, live-up-to-your-promises company, you beat the deadline. Kind of like beating earnings expectations. Those are always nice surprises for investors.
I would say, "Last chance, Kathy" but I'm stuck with these shares whether I want them or not. I hope after Monday's news that I still want them.
Holiday season, Kathy. Give us what we're asking for! There is no one here on the naughty list...
I clicked on your link and got to the home page, then clicked on other stuff and got the internal server error. Not sure what's going on there.
Happy Vets Day to everyone who served - and thank you for your service.
And if you haven't seen Brad Pitt in Fury yet, it's a pretty good movie and what I imagine is a realistic look at how war devastates both sides.
Guess what week it is? Guess what week it is!
Yes, it's news week. Somewhere between now and this time next week we should have some news from Kathy.
News I would like to hear about:
Production update
Armed forces contract
Possible sale of the company
Status of current and previous projects
Revenue update
There are many good possibilities and only a few not-so-good options. Either way, it will be interesting to hear the latest and greatest.
Not many shares changing hands any more. I guess we own them all now...
Huge run today. We are up 10%! That is a major run!!!
Ten days until news...
VERRRRY long!
Seems like this company thrives on just having "potential." Let's get real and all make some $$$$!
End of next week for news. I remember back in the early months of the year when this board was abuzz with hope. Only the hard core remain. I trust Kathy has some golden nuggets to impart upon us, including info from the San Diego trade show, contract updates, production news, and revenue opportunities. A robust news flash would impress me.
Risky, you bounce around too much. This stock is just like playing in a casino. There are going to be a lot of ups and downs. If you invested in FNMA with the belief that one day it will emerge from conservatorship, then you have to sustain the ups and downs and look at where this stock ends up in a year or two. If you buy it or sell it for day trading purposes, good luck guessing which direction it will head next. We are all subject to the whims of the media and the courts. If we win, we win. If not, you made a bad bet. Just like blackjack, craps, roulette, etc....
Played a little Saturday board catch-up, not much going on I see.
We are two weeks from news. Anything to get us off 10 would be much appreciated. There is a lot that we SHOULD be hearing about. I will be sorely disappointed if we don't.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone. Off to watch some football. Go Mounties, go Bruins.
Max of 17 days days left until we receive news. I hope it is good. This board is relatively quiet as we approach the next update.
Remember, Kathy, the first job of a CEO is to maximize shareholder wealth!!!
