CYGX chart for 2003 looks like anyone in it long for 2004 will have a very profitable year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all - very best for 2004
Rick
elsieCat......do you have an email for The Star Ledger?
I try to Google it and leave a message for Ann Nutt and fully she will respond back.
Take care / Thanks alot / Happy New Year and Best for 2004.
Rick
Steve_robbens.......Steve, Very Best to you from all at CYGX for a fantastic 2004.
It's great we have posters from EU (Belgium-Germany-England-Norway) - it adds to our board and is the future.
Rick (NYC & Beaufort, South Carolina)
elsieCat.......Excellent !!! and thanks very much for your work to find Ann Nutt. Looking forward to what happens now.
Best for 2004 - Rick
brit45......welcome to board of CYGX.
I use Ameritrade also without problems. Schwab is taking advantage of foriegn traders. Did it to me years ago when I traded in Hong Kong. Ridiculous stuff!!!!
I think you will be happy with Ameritrade at $10.99 per trade and on line trading - it works rather well so far.
Regarding the dilution of stock - it's a valid question and unknown right now. I personally feel it's being done to act as an anti-take-over measure and the shares while authorized are not trading yet (?) - also, there have been signs (only) of acquiring a Company (s) in BioTech in the future (now nothing here). Perhaps this will be the way CYGX moves to NYSE-AMEX-NASDAQ (by acquiring a co. on it already). This is all speculation only on my part. If CYGX genetic delivery systems work - the income in this multi-billion area would not be affected greatly. Time will tell. Where the stock is going now other than up - who knows. It could correct at somepoint (see past chart).
Best to you and your trading in CYGX. I think you will find this site unusal in it's friendly-energy-knowledge-realism yet its very opitimist.
Best for New Year - Rick
HANUMAN.........John, thanks so much for that excellent email to Malcolm. It was to the point and quite professional.
I have mixed emtions on the response. It's good they have become involved in this area and even better that they will persue it further in the future. Meanwhile, the government!
It's who you know, not what you know. But it's that way in life, Isn't it.
I will talk to Dr. Roscoe Moore (General Surgeon) early next year - probably late January 2004 to start the "who you know thing". I will also call Malcolm at CYGX.
Again John, thanks for your constant input on the board. You are very impt here and please continue your excellent medical and business insights. Thanks for contacting CYGX - you have started something very good.
Best - Rick
Anthrax.......John, Anthrax exposure in humans is by animal - canbe and usually is cutaneous (unpropected skin)usually at an abrasion. There canbe a GI exposure usually induced but this in real time this is rare. The respiratory - inhalation of spores - canbe innocuous but in the BioTerrorism business - this is the means of death that is used. It's called "Woolsorter's Disease" - inhaling the spores in the case of workers sorting or whatever wool from infected sheep. In the case of BioTerrorism, the spores are developed to a specfic size so as to be air borne and disapate in a specfic area.
There is a vaccination - there canbe problems with it - and I believe that has been an issue in the armed services by a few individuals. There has been limited evaluation in humans while vaccination in animals works well to control the disease.
Incubation canbe fast 12 hrs to 5 days (usually 3-5 days). Antibiotics used - penicillin and tetracycline but when a pulmonary form becomes toxic, which is faster, they canbe of limited value (early IV Penicillin G 10 million units /24 hrs canbe life saving).
Corticosteroids (cortisol) maybe of value but evaluation is limited.
The Bacillus anthrax is a gram-postive organism (which CYGX is working on now) It's always been an occupational hazzard only with animal workers exposed to infected goats, sheep, cattle, sheep, horses and there products.
But now in this world of hate and terror everything is difference.
Just some background information - I think it's all become more involved with sciencist using the spores for terror.
Rick
PS - John, there is no rush on this at all. Plenty of time here to mull it over.
OT - HANUMAN......John, In regards to your ideas on Anthrax and BioTerrorism in general, again I think you should get off an outline of your ideas to Malcolm (CYGX CEO) and Dr. Chen (and I would suggest the CEO is best in this case). The inhalation aspect of your idea is outstanding.
I have a classmate - friend from Tuskegee who is the asst
Surgeon General - I call him Doctor-General-Doctor. We usually meet up at yearly class meetings (March) - When last I spoke him in DC, I was very upset about the postals workers who died in the New Jersey Anthrax attack. I found out from him why they died. This never hit the news - I have no idea why it didn't. But apparently the two gentlemen were working with a very high pressure air hose used for cleaning machinery at night, and thus they were subject to many more Anthrax organisms - more than anyone else. Makes sense just as Rx-ing it via the same pulmonary system route does. If you approach CYGX and they express any interest at all, I will call my friend in regards to the past event and the future possible Rx and /or prevention of Anthrax and for that matter any BioTerrorism organism (especially considering the pulmonary system route of Rx). He can certainly point us / CYGX in the correct direction and be of some help. He knows I only approach him on matters of impt. Let's see where this goes. Your right about an abundance of funding for projects of merit. Media coverage in the future would be outstanding.
I've got your email from your profile - here's mine

This is a free newsletter for the BioTech Industry's Daily Monitor. Excellent to bookmark and / or subscribe too.

Today, one of the more interesting stories is about ISIS - they are starting their FDA Phase I trial of the new treatment
of cholesterol lowering method - which has gotten remarkable results, such as lowering total cholesterol by 50% and LDL (low density lipids) with even more remarkable results.
We will soon see some stories regarding CYGX on this link.
Rick
HANUMAN........John, I think there was a news story this weekend regarding Anthrax's and a problem with having enough antibiotics to Rx and besides, would it be that effective. And what mutations exist or will exist in this area.
The "inhalant" is a brillant idea on your part and has a number of advantages - it's effective - it's there and something practical to deliver - more. (wonder what the shelf life would be ?)
Remember the grant CYGX is going for with a inhalant delivery in connection to pulmonary cancer.
Your ideas are excellent and I would suggest with your long medical back ground getting these ideas to Dr. Chen.
Brillant !!! - Rick (it's got me excited)
OT......Mad Cow Disease and PRIONS. A current article reviewed in the Sciencist (.com) states that researchers have noticed some interesting memory enhancing properties in this prion protein associated with the deadly disease we are so very concerned about.
Two points here: Prions are proteins (most toxins, not all, are proteins - others are heavy metals, etc) and CYGX's patent could have uses in this deadly disease. *see post / link #1 today by Tonkanono for a good summary of this future in medicine - excellent review!
And just because something is quite deadly, it doesn't mean it can't have a good use.
i.e. Piosonous Snake Venom are basically made up of over one hundred proteins depending on the species, some of which are very toxic. Thats the purpose, to start digestion of the prey. And yet some of these protein components are being studied in medicine i.e. pain control in cancer.
Having said this, I'm not suggesting CYGX jump on this possible antisense Rx at this point in time for "Mad Cow Disease". But it does show the incredible diversity of ssDNA.
CYGX is extremely wise with it's excellent business plan to tackle the large pathologies of the world.
It makes sense for all reasons.
Rick
elsieCat......do you have the telephone for the journalist at NJ Star Ledger - I think her name is Amy Ellis Nutt.
If you do, by all means give her a call and the link for the patent news. I was waiting for the Biochemistry article.
Meanwhile, I am at GRRDVM@Hotmail.com.
LMK if she is interested in looking into this further. The reason she might be, her stories were quite good and detailed (have print outs of them). I don't know if she started this news break on Sepsis but the Star Ledger is known for that. Some big stories in past have started there. If she didn't start the sepsis story, maybe she knows who did. Or maybe she will be interested in an ongoing follow up to the large medical problem with sepsis (whch will only get worst year to year). She may see a news story there that she will be interested in long term. TIA
Rick
The news is fantastic - I guess we, who follow CYGX, all expected this but in anycase it just adds to the growing amount of forward progress of CYGX.
Elsiecat - good point on the fact that if the world knew the significance of this news, CYGX would be jumping by dollars instead of pennies. But the day will come and rather soon when a large segment of the investment community will follow CYGX day to day. Now it's just our small group and a few unknowns (to us).
Perhaps the most impt. issue will be getting to that $5.00 level where the institutions will start following CYGX with analyst following and writing reports. Actually, I believe this will happen just before a level of $5.00. I wouldn't be surprise if there aren't some investments firms sitting back, taking this all in.
What will move us to that area? Maybe the Herpes Rx news - perhaps the 'animal studies" reports. Maybe something we don't even know about right now.
Rick
Platina......Thank you for the Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchange links.
OT - what defensive position did you play in football in Michigan?
Rick
neo43.......Excellent post and issues brought up here.
I would be interested in the 'animal model' being used. Intravenous would be the conventional method of delivery as would be used in present day IV antibiotics in sepsis. If they are using rodents (i.e. rats) the IV delivery method canbe used. Primates (i.e. monkey's only) would be ideal but much more expensive these days. Cats and dogs could be considered and ecomonically are better than primates. This all gets expensive especially when you get out of the realm of rodents.
Something else that canbe considered for a delivery route, could be IP (intra-peritoneal) - injecting into the abdomen for absorption via the peritoneal but there are limiations here, just as there are limitations in orally delivery with absorption via gastro-intestinal system. There limitations of absorption in any route (save IV) that have to do with things for example the molecular complexity and/or size of the molecule in getting across the lining of these parental routes. I don't know what limitations exist here. You still measure blood levels of what is delivered in anycase.
If a satisfactory animal model and delivery system/site canbe established then an animal study such as this could be done in several months. A lot depends on the motivation of the lab. This is work intensive - it is not earthshaking in the experiment method - only the results of this method will be earth shaking !!! We not splitting the atom here. But positive results will be more impt than splitting the atom.
This is all laboratory proceedure stuff and rather straight forward. As you both have pointed out - it's the delivery system to the bacteria in the blood (septicema) and how effective it is - that remains to be seem. We are all putting alot of trust into a delivery system which in a 'test tube' has shown spectacular results. Lets hope it continues in animal-studies. I feel it's a good bet it will - there maybe refinements necessary but that is always the case. And that could add time to the studies. That is quite normal.
Best to all - Rick
Back to the Ravens/Pitt game to see if Lewis can break the rushing record (?) He's looking good too.
Platina......Frankfurt is presently the 3rd largest market in the world.....but I have this feeling they maybe making a further run for the 1st in the world. There are alliances being formed over and over (i.e. NASDAQ).
So as you say "get use to it" - yes, by all means, "get use to it".
Real Estate in NYC go so high (it's sold by the square inch now) that there have been moves to Jersey City - talk of combining the NYSE with AMEX (not likey immediately but possible). So there will be changes. We all must keep an open mind to changes.
Once, the 'genius' Bill Lupien ( a friend back in NYC 1980's) went on Business Nightly News talking about his company and electronic trading - said the a billion shares a day would be a dead day at NYSE - when they came back to the moderators they were all 'rolling on the floor, laughing their a*ses off' - who's laughing now - his company was called INSITNET.
It will be a 24 hour market soon (if not now) with the sun never setting, all very connected.
Platina.....do you have the links for Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges? We should all bookmark them, so we follow volume on CYGX, when that happens.
TIA - Rick
While we are eating "crow" I must admit I ate a "Flock of Crows". They were not good. But I STILL FEELS GOOD !!!
I still feel that CYGX is badly undervalued in terms of "intellectual property" - look at other one-product corporations literally throwing the dice on a nonsense industry.
Once CYGX approaches that $5.00 mark (whenever it is) it will take off for several reasons. One and immediately impt, it will be getting off the dreaded OTC-BB market and on too a real market. This should be good for a large and unknown leap up! It might surprise all.
Two, we will be that much closer to the Herpes simple Rx going into FDA P 1&2 testing which just maybe fast-tracked (?) April 2004 as of now. There will be at sometime an announcement of "Human-Clinical Trials" in an Asian country. Weather its India or China, you are talking an very large market. Press coverage will be large.
More news on Sepsis Rx - "Animal Trials" and I dare say eventually "Human-Clinical Trials" FDA - P1&2 and I would be extremely surprised if this was not fast-tracked. If the CYGX Sepsis Rx becomes the safety measure in surgery to prevent sepsis - how many surgeries (including Dental) are done per year? Then consider, how many cases of cellulitis (infected) from insect and spider bites are there in a year?
Just these 2 markets are monsters and will be measured in billions!
2004 Joint-ventures - number ?
Further news in neoplasia research - pulmonary - skin -
and so on.
Things we don't even know about yet. As the word gets out with each success with the CYGX "ssDNA Expression Vector" more companies will look into agreements to futher medical science. There's alot of Pathology out there to eliminate.
Best - Rick
Raging Bull has wise up to my transfers and forwards of there posts. That link sends you to the main page(?) Don't now why but please go to Raging Bull and read suky_cospito RB post # 12494 reagarding German Stock Exchanges. Did you know that they have the worlds 3rd largest exchange?
Great Berlin / Frankfuit Exchange Information
from our invaluable friend from Raging Bull suky_cospito (Raging Bull post # 12494)
http://ragingbull.lycos.com/mboard.cgi?board=CYGX&read=12494
Wish we could some how get suky_cospito over to IHUB/CYGX but whatever you do, always check Raging Bull for his posts - they contain a wealth of information and he's one intelligent investor. Jusy gald he is long on CYGX.
******Link is not working - takes you to Raging Bull mainpage - either enter post #12494 CYGX or simply go to Raging Bull - CYGX post #12494 - it's worth it and will further explain the impt of CYGX listings in Germany.
Thanks - Rick
arnold.........my point exactly (?) what is the difference between the two exchanges. I mentioned this - there was a research firm in Germany that mentioned, a number of months ago, a speculative recommendation on CYGX.
Also we have a number of German investors (and European) in CYGX. Would you please post the question, perhaps when things pick-up again, on IHUB and also and perhaps more impt on Raging Bull.
There's got to be a difference on the qualifications on a listing on Berlin vs Frunkfurt Echanges. Possibly Berlin is more difficult ?
It's a positive move for CYGX but your question is valid and meaningful. My feeling is it's like the difference of a listing on a NYC exchange vs something like a listing on a Denver Exchange - I don't know.
Calling up the company (CYGX) would produce an answer. They had to do something to get listed. They will answer questions like that.
To the GREATEST BOARD I have ever had the pleasure to be on. My Xmas card to you all (takes a little time to download but its really worth it - really beautiful!!!)

Rick
Peach & JSGatt........Peach and John, we are all on the same page. (Peach, very happy you're still in and "gungo-ho" long.)
Maybe "skooby" knows something I don't regarding the time frame. He feels its coming faster than me and I hope he's right.
I'm giving it 1 to 3 years - meaning it could go to mid double digits in one year but in 2 to 3 years, look out. Anything is possible.
It's CYGX business plan with just the one patent ("ss-DNA expression vector").
They are on the way with Herpes - the market possible there is a mere one billion people! Herpes, as a disease, is much more impt than present day medicine realizes.
Next comes the Spesis. We know how impt that is - but what will it be in 2 or 3 years - more impt!
All these BioTechs trade on PPS in advance of income. PE ratio's are PPS on Esitmated Income for years out.
Even if these products are fast-tracked by the FDA - it will take time to get them out to clinics (patient useage). But that won't stop the PPS from from advancing like a rocket.
The 800 oligos after just a few successes will line up - big time. More income.
I feel pretty good about this - it's still not written in stone but it's best thing I see out there right now.
Speaking of Microsoft - CYGX may make Microsoft look minor. We are talking monster markets here that aren't luxries.
And I don't believe anyone has mortgaged the house yet to buy CYGX. So it's a conservative investment moneywise for a major pay off in time in a very worth while area, in a reasonable period of time. Where do we find that these days?
This listing on the Berlin Stock Market isn't bad. Remember a few months ago - there was a German company making a stock recommendation on CYGX.
Could this be a start of a trend?
Best - Rick
Percy.......I've been trying to get the Sepsis paper by Dr. Chen in the Biochemistry Journal via Google. Usually it's emailed to me directly but I haven't gotten it yet.
Someone mentioned it last week but didn't post a link.
Will post it as soon as it comes up.
Meanwhile maybe someone can help us. TIA.
Rick
peach........I didn't know you sold ! Thought you were still long.
Get back in with some sort of position. I know it's tuff from time to time (gets to me but I'll take the ride) but thats the price we must pay.
Just a few thousand shares (which doesn't amount to much cashwise) might pay-off big time someday.
Believe it or not, "skooby" is NOT a paid pumper - he's not even a pumper. He's just extremely GUNG-HO!!!
I know that sounds strange but he believes in CYGX so much he just can't hold back from these more than positive posts. And if you read them closely, he does make some good points.
For example, his point on Sepsis. The CYGX Rx of sepsis, if it works as Dr. Chen states, really could become the backbone or standard in surgery. It's for sure antibiotics have seen there better day. The increase of sepsis is downright dangerous !
The Herpes plague is a gaint market (1 bilion plus worldwide) and I know that works.
And who knows what else they have going?
Until they get listed, we'll be jerked around by the MM's but that part of the game.
I'm staying long here.
You will know when the pumpers and dumpers and bashers show up. They stink !
Take care, Peach - Rick
Skooby's last post deserves a second read !
If the CYGX Sepsis Rx works - and it has been found effective and safe ( a lack of secondary side effects is mandatory) to make surgery in general safe without this horrible threat in any given proceedure. In fact, given what is happening at present with sepsis and it's incidence in surgery, it would be unwise if not possible "mal-practice" not to use this method as a safety measure. I make that harsh statement only considering the CYGX anti-sepsis Rx is established as effective and safe. Which according to Dr. Chen is the case.
It must now be taken thur animal studies then hopefully a combined FDA / P1&2 human trials - hopefully "fast-tracked".
Again, just this one product, from a BioTech - CYGX with many, will save an incredible number of lives each year and rightfully earn a staggering amount of assets.
babycakes.......Thanks for the heads-up on BIPH. I am starting a file on them and would appreciated any further insights you have on Nanotech / BIPH.
I think, a few months ago, someone both to the board's attention, a compnay in Australia in this unique - futuresitic area. Can't remember the name.
You're right about the parallels.
Rick
OT.......skooby, speaking of up north. "Downeast", which is Maine, is beautiful. In the early 1970's I got 11 acres on the Gouldsboro Pennisula just north of Bar Harbor . It's not on the water but is very close to it (it's the highest point at 60 ft elevation - therefore it has a 270 degree view of the Atlantic Ocean plus Mnt. Desert on Bar Harbor for sunsets). It was so cheap that a year of my daughter's smoking would pay for it !
I always kept it to build (myself) a modest house on someday.
My thinking has been "global warming" - it has cold weather now in the winter (starts in October - ends in April) and overpopulation. Maine's population barely breaks one million for the state. Taxes were a $100/year and have soared in 30 years plus to $180/year.
If / When CYGX works out, I'll get going and build the small house. Just the thought of it brings a smile. : )
Now with satelite dishes for television (movies) and radio and the internet to keep you directly in touch with all of the world, the remoteness of Maine looks good !
Best - Rick
smkj79........"what will we die from?" Thats a good point.
There was a long and rather good discussion on Raging Bull about this very problem about 1 to 2 months ago (?).
I guess controling the population is a start. Also, someone brought a great point up about the same genetic enigeering creating increase food crops and resistance to botanical diseases.
But it still leaves that thing where if you crowd too many rats in a cage - they start doing strange things !
Isn't there something in the Bible about people living to 120 years plus? Of course the population was abit lower when it was first written.
howardjoel........one of the most exciting aspects of CYGX besides the technology of the patents and what they could possible do in the future, is the fact that almost any type of news (NA's) could happen on any given day.
It's all unknown.
CYGX financing is a fact and NA's could and will happen anyday.
Dr. Chen "Sepsis" aticle in the Biochemistry Journal - we know that is coming anyday............The more I study about the relativitely new epidemic of gram-positive (i.e. Stahyl. aureus) sepsis - infections, the more I realize this is actually more impt than HIV - certainly in the near-term future. How did it get so out-of-hand almost overnight?
And speaking of HIV, an infection which has destroyed continents now, we could, maybe in the unknown near future wake up to a NA by Dr. Rossi on some new and miracle insight where CYGX could play a major war on that viral disease.
CYGX has several, soon to be many, neoplasia research projects developing. Any one of will produce NA's.
Joint ventures - 1st there will be one announced, then two, then the gates open with 800 possible oligos flooding CYGX's patent.
I guess what I have been trying to say - I'm just going continue some research on the subject to re-educate myself, while I sit back waiting for the NA's to start.
Meanwhile, with the eromonous amount of pathology on this earth, each one costing billions of dollars of suffering.
It's a billion here, and a billion there, and prety soon you're talking serious money.
Have a great weekend all - Rick
Real OT.......Saddam's DNA test was performed in about 24 to 48 hours by US Army in Washington, D.C..
In South Carolina a DNA test in a criminal case takes about 18 months.
Whats wrong with this picture?
JSGatt........John, Good article. It parallels CYGX's business plan completely and CYGX planned it before this article. It's a good business plan which from an ecomonic view makes sense. Thanks - Rick
Captain Crunch.....I know I'm missing a wonderful sport but I will not participant in golf until they modify the game and incorprate my new rules of "full contact golf".
It's the future of the game (or maybe the end of it)
Thalio.......one thing for sure, it's people buying. I like it!
I thought we had a mystery deep pockets - smart - motivated - clever - patient - BUYER but you are probably right because it is classic "momo" buying on the bounce off the 200ma. But I can keep my mysterious romantic theories (just better keep them to myself)
One other thing for sure, it will continue until we are listed.
It's the nature of the MM's (Monkey Makers) or how they make money.
CYGX is abit more serious than that and we are in for 3 figures in 3 years (or nothing at all).
Rick
elsiecat.......agree about e-street email. I like the guy who creates it alot and what is being put out is..ah...okay. But its nothing new, its redundant to a terminial degree. I mean even I could come up with a different spin. If you look at previous PA's of e-street , I believe they are identical. Maybe a different lay out or mirror image.
Thats great for someone who never saw it before, but for all of us, get with the program. Feed me something new!!!
or don't feed me.
doc4now.......thanks for your posts. They are very helpful - you have that unique ability to explain and teach on a level everyone can understand - something needed.
I hope you will have time to continue your posts.
I've been with CYGX for 4 years now and I'm really getting exciting about the possibilities in the future. It wll take time but from day to day, you never know whats going to come up.
CYGX is directly or indirectly doing research in numerous areas, anyone of which can announce something new and very useful. Consider some of the doctors involved (Stein-Rossi-Chen-Many more). The keyword - USEFUL.
A couple of posters liked the term for CYGX -
"THE MEDICAL RAINBOW"
It's not professional (maybe alittle commercial) but could be quite accurate someday.
Again best to you Doc and thanks.
Rick
Platina......you have hit it on the head. This stuff is too complicated to understand at present. Once we get the PPS up to where institutions will follow CYGX and their analysts with expertise in this area write up reports that canbe understood by the general public, until then CYGX will suffer from its own complicated science. That day will come soon. This why "Thalio" has incredible valuable - he has the intelligence to explain things in terms we can all understand ! Still, it's difficult !
"Elsiecat".......I agree there is a large - patient - motivated - smart buyer accumulating stock - they want a large position and are slowly averaging up by pennies to get their position. It has happened before i.e. last July 2003.
I wouldn't be surprise if one or more MM's have gotten wind of this.
Sepsis via Gram-positive organisms such as Stayh. aureus
are presently on the increase over gram-negative bacteria organisms - this is impt.
First link goes over some of the mechanisms involved in a gram-positive infection.
Second link - good background on infections via gram-positive bacteria.

http://www.vh.org/adult/provider/familymedicine/FPHandbook/Chapter10/05-10.html
Platina.....only thing I can come up with is the Sepsis article by Dr Chen in Biochemistry Journal (which is earth-shaking news if the financial community understands it) or some unknown surprise which I can only guess at.
I'll take it meanwhile.
