If I understand your question...why did I sell.
Because I just thought I was never going to make back the rest of my losses....simply put.
I didn't believe in the Twitter thing. After thinking a bit more...I didn't think GO800 could compete with Google/Apple/Anyone, in a greatly competitive mobile application market with such limited funds, etc. I didn't like the work I saw from GOBOX (horrible software) and every "idea" and partnership they came up with always seemed to fall short (the company overseas, Fu, 50 keywords for the bank, the list goes on)...
Maybe add something to this idea and company, that makes it better...and I'm back on board. Until then...I'm sitting on the side lines.
For everyone out there who put money into this thing...I hope I'm wrong.
.02 was my entry point actually....
I think I sold all shares around .009-.008 ish....
I hear ya...I thought for a second about just riding it out till .0000001 no bid ;)
But when we had that run up, I sold....thinking I may get back in at a later date. But that interview, I wasn't so sold on the answers. I just don't think this will take off...I hope that it does, don't get me wrong. But I'm not seeing it...
It just seems to be missing a little something...I dont know what that something is...but they are missing something.
I hope you're not afraid of death ;)
I'm not "looking" for any reason to hate this company at all, that isn't how I roll. But I did do the DD...and I got out...fast.
But I still want GO800 to be a household name and who knows maybe i'll jump back into the fire soon enough...
I'm not sure if the cloud has a place with GO800 as well. Most of the stuff right now that is in the "cloud" are things like:
-CRM Solutions
-Storage (Amazon/LiveMesh/Dropbox)
-Virtual infrastructure (servers, etc)
I'm having a hard time seeing how the two would compliment each other as well. Unless they are trying to do some type of online virtual directory that will follow you from phone to phone....but thats already been done.
Oh yeah, I owned this stock at one point. But when it spiked a little, I got the F out. But I'm still curious about GO800...and I don't know why lol.
I still wonder what happened to FU? Did they ever come out and say?
No, its just really seriously lacking a lot of things and just looks very amateur at best.
Dropbox, Microsoft, and Amazon, have similar software offerings...that CRUSH GOBOX.
GOBOX software is junk at best...lol...
I tested it out at home, and its worthless.
This merger, doesn't sound good to me...
I'm sure if GO800 was growing, had the chance to be profitable, they would not merger...and the CEO would not resign.
On the flip side, I'm curious to see what this new CEO does.
And so did GOIG just "spend" 500K or whatever it was on Add-on? So, does that money then get sent from the right pocket and put in the left pocket?
My opinion of course...
"Sure you can have any point you want. GO800 just now is building stats so how could they have gave us stats prior on usage?" - Ricky
I agree, they can't really give stats on on current usage, but in the past they had a LONG time to give us information on KEYWORD sales, but they didnt, they could have gave us more information on the 50 keywords the bank was testing, but they didn't, they could have given us more information in general...but they never did...just a bunch of "audio updates" with unfulfilled junk.
maybe you are missing my point...? or maybe you have more faith in GO800 then i do...
Ricky-
I reply to your private message-
Would you agree, we have never got any real statistics on usuage, growth, users, or keywords sold...?
We can agree to disagree on my point....that's fine...
In correct! Lots of companies want "shareholders" to sell their stuff....
most of them are pyramid scams:
http://www.amway.com/EN
LOL....
Hey Ricky,
It's really the only number we have to go off of to get some type of concrete "data" on users. I mean, we get nothing on statistics from GO800, we got nothing as far as data on how many keywords were sold in the past, etc. So, we are left to do what? Guess. Yet, I'd say its a decent educated guess in my opinion.
I mean look at other services that have established a footprint in their given market:
GROUPON:
https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?
1,014,639
monthly active users
LUCYPHONE:
https://www.facebook.com/lucyphone
561
people like this
GO800
1,014
people like this
You can see, the more popular a service is, the more fans/likes it may have, right? Makes sense to me that you could correlate facebook "likes" to the current footprint. To me, that is all we have to go off of...
I mean, really...if there is good organic growth, we would hear about it, at least I'd think we would. I know this "new launch" is just in its infancy. And, I'm not trying to bash, but we have never got ANY concrete statistics on growth, keywords sold, users, etc...
I think really just looking at the twitter followers and facebook followers...those numbers are probably a good indicator of how successful this service is currently. Roughly, 1000+ followers....
They are having trouble reaching the masses...that's for sure.
I mean there is so much built in competition for this company/stock...for instance, how is this twitter thing, better than say your built in contact list on your cell phone? Its actually quicker to go through your list on your phone and hit dial, than to text, wait for a call back from GO800, then get connected to someone whom you most likely have their number already stored in your phone. GO800, needs to separate itself from a "contact list" and give users a REASON to use this service.
To me, that seems to be the difference maker. There seems to be no real reason to use this service other than its "different" than a traditional contact list...
Originally, this seemed to make sense and was cool. But maybe its just me...but I think its lacking something concrete the more I think of it....business, and marketing it makes sense...but personal use, I'm not so sure anymore...
Yeah yeah yeah...TEXT APPLE to 46800, TEXT GEICO to 46800...etc
Any of those companies paying? I don't think so....
All for demo purposes.
Rickych - Thank you for the response.
Is there a "free" way to view L2 stuff?
Yup, the whole auto thing, I was saying for a while...and that NEVER made sense to me.
A start-up company, buying its "CEO" a car? AND paying him a 250K salary, for what?
Meh, good thing I'm out...but I'm still supportive of the concept/shareholders. Hopefully, one day there is something positive that would make me want to buy shares again....
1. What happened to the 50 keywords being tested by a bank
2. What happened (fill in the blank).........
3. What happened (fill in the blank).........
how are you able to view where the amounts of shares ppl purchased?
Thing is...how is this salary getting paid? Unless he is selling MORE shares...as the price goes down, etc...
Did those audited financials ever come out?
remember, "live" and paying are TWO different things...
just because a keyword is "active" does not mean that anyone from the company knows about that keyword, GO800, or has paid for the service. most of those, according to Brendan are there for demo purposes.
They tried this (i believe) buy hiring this guy:
Old news, but still...i think this was their attempt.
I DID notice he updated his profile...to take out come company names (i think i remember) that he had listed as customers under GO800...
My guess is he is a big part of the sales...

I mean, personally I'm out of the game...but still interested in the concept and giving my ideas to Ike/Brendan....
But, its been a year, and a companies management that has failed doesn't suddenly get better without...well changing the management team. GOIG and GO800 are in a very competitive space. The mobile market is extremely profitable and has all the big players involved. I personally still have to ask the question I've asked a while back: how will they fund operations? I have to assume that they don't have many (if any at all) paying customers. Yes, that's an assumption. Because again, if they had paying customers, I'd believe we would have heard about those numbers...so that's why I got concerned.
So, are they going to be able to pay for Ike's salary, Brendan's salary/shares, etc...other employees salaries, etc?
Last I read, in the financials, money wasn't exactly coming flowing in a positive direction....
Hopefully this does work out...I want it to...so I can say at least I once owned a piece of that...and could have been "rich"...
If I do see some positive direction, I WILL buy some shares again...
But, they won't...I don't think...
We've heard of countless claims of companies "testing 50 keywords", banks, etc...
None panned out...well at least that we know of...no one will tell us because of a "non-disclosure agreement"
GO800 = amway / quixstar / Monavie?
sorry, yup...i sold all of my shares is what that should have said....i thought i had some left...but nope...
i sold all a while back when we had a little run toward .01...
Date Action Description Symbol Quantity Amount
1/27/2011 ACD ELECTRONIC FUNDS WITHDRAWAL
1/24/2011 SELL ORDER POSTING GOIG -36000.0000
all gone.
Well, also, think of this....the reason we may not see a sell of if because the shares aren't worth a damn. Shareholders at a point where its hold and wait...
I mean if someone were to sell at .0019 * 1,000,000 = 1900
if they had bought....those same shares around .02 * 1,000,000 =
$20,000
Yeah, so...IF someone is in that situation I doubt they would sell this low. At least, in my opinion, I'd hope for a hailmary and that my wide receiver actually catches the ball at that point...
I personally didn't sink that much into this GOIG stock, but I took my beatings...got out a while back...but plan to re-enter....maybe....maybe not.
The thing is...if you really think about it...if he took a pay cut...but he left his shares in GOIG. That would give him a LOT of incentive to make this a success. I think he does want that, because if you LOOK CLOSELY to the financials, IKE, will make a LOT of money if GOIG/GO800 take off. A LOT OF MONEY...much more than all of us could make off of this...
Oh I think its been mentioned before, that's for sure.
But, I actually sold most of my shares. I'm just waiting until I see something positive to get back into GOIG. I don't see many followers or any numbers that suggest viral growth (yet).
Hopefully, it all works out for the better...
I just sent a suggestion to brendan and Ike...that I think could give GOIG a whole new market.
1. Have keywords voted on like a groupon - once they are active the users will get a coupon code sent via text.
2. Business buy keywords and users get coupons or discounts on their phone by calling the keyword.
3. Proximity coupons are sent if they are near a business.
Combine the Groupon stuff with GO800....
We'll see...
What did the CEO of GM do when GM wasnt doing so well?
GM CEO $1 salary - LINK
"General Motors corporation chairman and C.E.O. Rick Wagoner is cutting his annual salary from $2.2 million to one measly dollar"
IT is for sure not out of the question to take a pay cut.
I gave up personally, but still think if implemented properly it could do something. Who knows..
Maybe they should look into added location based advertisements...to supplement their (im assuming) lack of revenue.
I believe someone said there would be "millions of users" on the GO800 network via the Twitter campaign. Huh.
Furthermore...how many people have people actually given their GO800 name out to? How many people actually call them using this GO800 enabled name, etc?
I agree with that...it's just not adding up...all of it...
the business plan, etc.
But we'll see I guess...
whats funny about this is...
wont people already have the phone numbers in their contact list? that's what 's now confusing me about this...
im all for gaining a user base...but they way they make money is by enabling small/medium businesses to have text to connect (call centers, pizza joints, cab companies, etc).
Honestly, this does not make sense.
Do what Facebook does, what twitter does, etc. and give this stuff away to the "social network". They give this stuff to the masses for free. Then supplement this with advertisements, etc. Make businesss pay for keywords...
They can't make money selling to business so they are trying to sell this to you and I? Hmm...
Not so sure about this "plan"

Ugh....
EDIT: I see its now for business or personal...we'll see how that goes...
Nope - made by

I think it depends on the phone you have...Andriod users will get an icon...I am unsure of other phones....
Yup, I have been and always will be ;)
You're welcome ;)
but no...thank YOU!
