I agree with updating the website. I sent ir an email some time ago regarding this matter.
Bank Financing for "Specialty" type projects is very difficult.
I think that, in addition to the Manu dilution problem, the local banks were turned off with the "fluff" aspect of the project and not satisfied with Management strength. With the new Management Strength and new more conservative approach to building this project, taking the fluff out, I feel that the loan might be able to get done in the near future. Now the 90 mil figure has probably been reduced. They have the land and probably can subordinate the lease payments to the loan. The 90 mil was made up of 10 mil land, 40 mil Prime Focus, which left 40 mil to finance. Now that 40 mil number should be reduced dramatically because they are using modular construction. They say they will save about 30% on construction costs by using this method. In future phases they may add "fluff" but for now we must get these stages built. IMO

I was on the call. "When" was not discussed and there has been considerable reaction to this since.
Why would Koppelman and Paterson Come Aboard at this Time?
What would happen to Medient Studios if this project was dropped?
MDNT now has a Market Cap Value of about 4 Mil dollars based on estimated shares outstanding. Lot's going on behind the curtain here now. Do you really think that Medient's BOD would do a R/S in this climate? It looks like Paterson received a nice chunk of shares to come into this situation. He is involved with a Real Estate Crowd Funding Group. Maybe a capital raise program is being put into place? How do you think current shake up in Management, additions of Koppelman to COB, Paterson as new Director, and Davidson, would effect Medient's negotiations with local Banks regarding strength of Management team and conservative approach (taking the fluff out) in order to obtain or solidify Phase One Financing? What does the current financing Package consist of? (How much is needed, what is Medient's collateral available for the loan) I am trying to say that there is a lot "up in the air" now! What can shareholders do to obtain better communication and transparency with Management? Shouldn't Shareholders try to get a shareholder that lives in the Project Area on the Board to sit in on Director Meetings and report back to us to increase transparency?

Somewhere I remember Manu Kumaran saying that he paid for his trip or the cocktail party at Cannes "out of pocket". I wonder how much money , if any, was paid by Medient Studios?
Modular vs Stick Construction
http://www.modular.org/htmlPage.aspx?name=why_modular
DrugDoctor, what kind of expertise do you have in the Construction Industry to make these statements regarding the type of construction Medient Studios is using. International Building Code Compliance looks to be better than most type construction in the US. Care to comment on this?
This type of quality modular construction is an excellent way to get these Medient Studio Stages built Pronto!. IMO
Please give us your reasoning for this major move up in Medient Studios Common Stock. Is It because of "Value", "Technical" or a combination of both?

Think you picked the right time to get aboard! Big Shake up in Management and major movement to complete phase 1 of this project.
This is truly a market value play unlike most of the pink sheet stocks you run across. Top flight COB and Former Governor of NY just came into the company. Take your time and do your due-diligence but don't wait too long because the train has now left the station. This is a great board with lots of help to answer any questions that you may have. IMO

Would enjoy some nice PR over the weekend.
Remember late Friday. When was the last Friday this stock was green?
Nadia, you do make some points. Has anyone seen The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon at the Universal Studios Orlando Resort recently?
I believe the show is there for this week. It is really something! Koppelman knows how to develop these type of attractions.IMO Maybe your idea would have worked in the beginning, but this is now and I have no doubts that with Koppelman and Paterson can help to development feasible projects that will be very profitable. This piece of property could become a city within itself. IMO

There should be trememdous interest from developers in the development of future parcels of this 1550 Acre Parcel. Phase 1 is only the beginning. I see developers getting involved, if they aren't already involved in discussions with Medient, regarding future phases of the project. "The rest will fall into place" IMO

Exactly, and that's why I said what I said. When financing is announced this stock should run like a BOOH!!!! IMO
(definition of "BOOH" is "BAT out of Hell")

Yes, very impressive! IMO

This news is great. IMO No fluff is good. Let's just get it built.
Koppelman's Son looks well connected in the Entertainment business.
Maybe he can help Dad by directing business to medient in the future? I am sure that Charles Koppleman has very strong connections in this Industry. We need to "build it and they will come"! IMO

Plenty of business for Medient.

Certainly agree with you. Merriman has had their problems. They are a penny stock themselves. Wouldn't think that they can provide advice to others until they get themselves straightened out IMO

Interesting Information
I will assume that Charles Koppelman did bring Former Gov. David Paterson aboard. I noticed that they both are Hofstra University NY Alumni. You can bet they are working together to get Medient on the road to getting this project completed IMO We should be looking forward to some good announcements in the future.

How about Medient Studios has their Phase 1 financing in place. LOL
Probably not but it would be great if that happened wouldn't it?
Anything can happen both positive or negative at these meetings. I hope for positive results.

Good morning and congratulations on the new job. :)
We still look forward to your representation on this board!
It seems that we have forgotten about Former Governor David Paterson. IMO He is a very powerful Politician and a "mover and a shaker". Take a look at Paterson's involvement here:
Crowdfunding in Real Estate Development

Possibilities Here? How can he help Medient?
He is also a strong Education assistance Advocate.
There was mention down the road of Medient Studios development their own Training School, student housing etc. I have been doing some research in this area. I will advise the board of my findings when my research is completed.

Bonds 101 FYI
John Henry referred me to this site for a good explanation of how the bonds work. Any questions could be directed to the Bond Counsel on this website.

The Authority I am sure had their Attorney (s) review the contract and make any changes until they were satisfied with it. I believe Medient made the contract flexible and negotiable to allow how any changes in the future might effect the relationship between Shore and Medient IMO
Take a look at this recent comment on the construction contract.
Taken from recent article from News Source. I believe that this allows other contractors and/or developers to get involved which is good for the future of the project.
"The contract is unclear about how Medient will compensate Shore Development. An SEC filing of the contract between the two firms indicates that financing could be involved. The contract says the form of payment will be negotiated. Has Shore Development agreed to finance or participate in financing Medient’s StudioPlex project?
One noteworthy item in the contract agreed to by Medient is that Shore Development is explicitly authorized to buy materials for the project from Titan Atlas Global. The contract states that all structures, plumbing, electrical or other material secured from other sources can be purchased through Titan and that Titan has the authority to add their markup. This provision appears to have the potential to make Titan a sole purchasing middleman between Shore Development and all other suppliers and subcontractors."

Show me something new and current.
The company should clarify exactly what the bonds are for and how they can use them. Many shareholders do not understand them. IMO
I have sent IR an email asking for them to put something out on this.
Why the Bonds Were Issued. Read this article closely.

I am not referring to that. They have been working with local banks to finance Phase 1 with a construction loan. Maybe Private Placement money can come in later but that is what they are doing now! IMO When Phase 1 gets completed the rest will take care of itself. Private placements can be done, developers can come into the project. All sorts of possibilities exist.

Ridiculous! They are working on Bank Construction Financing for phase 1! Of course other financing may become available after this phase is completed. IMO
Company has mentioned this before. (normal construction financing) The land is there and the lease payments would probably be subordinated to the loan. Other collateral may be required but basically that is what they have been doing. IMO
`
We are in the right place at the right time to build this!
Recent studies confirm this. Let's just do it! We are very lucky to be able to add Koppelman and Paterson to our management team.

No talk of Merriman Capital. I think they are the advisor on this.
Maybe we should send out emails to them? Does anyone know where to direct and email to Merriman?

Authority Meeting Schedule below:
Who will be representing Medient Studios at this meeting?
Who will be there for us?
http://www.effinghamindustry.com/wp-content/uploads/6-19-2014_Agenda.pdf
This is a board decision not a Shapiro decision. It may just be a personality thing. Our concerns will be reviewed by the BOD. My email went to IR to be delivered to the BOD. It is their responsibility to deliver these emails to the BOD. IMO
