ActionView International Announces Plans for Growth
article source
With their next fight card scheduled for October 16, 2010 at the Rail Event Center in downtown Salt Lake City, ActionView International continues to make moves to grow the World Championship Full Contact (WCFC) organization.
Among the companies current projects, they announced that they would be producing each of their events into 30-minute high definition television shows for distribution in international markets. Each show will focus on one fight from the event and include back story on the fighters, interviews with the fighters and trainers, and the fight itself. Johnny Riche, director of WCFC fight promotions, stated, “Unlike other fight programming, our show will focus on the fighters and have a lot more action, since we're cramming an entire fight plus everything else into a half-hour format. The shows will be fast paced and dynamic. We expect that this exposure will drive more viewers to the WCFC.com website where they can then watch our live events featuring many of the fighters they are already familiar with."
It is also expected that video of prior WCFC events should be available on VOD from Comcast by the middle of October.
The organization has also solidified plans for producing upcoming WCFC events in new U.S. and international markets. Riche commented on the expansion stating that they have “reached agreements to bring live shows to Boise, Idaho and into Canada. We are exploring the available dates and our preferred venues and expect to announce firm dates in the coming weeks. We are also working on agreements to start monthly live shows in southern California, Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. By the middle of 2011, we anticipate being able to offer our Internet viewers one or two live events every weekend."
As regards the ActionView International stock (AVEW.PK), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gary Nerison discussed the company's current reporting status by commenting, "As a company we are committed to providing our shareholders with accurate and timely information to better help them appreciate where ActionView is headed. At the same time, we are sensitive to the price fluctuations that often accompany thinly trading stocks and try to make sure that price speculation by foreign investors is minimized. With that in mind, we believe that the company is now better positioned to protect our long-term shareholders and we are pleased to announce that we will be filing our current report within the next few days. Our expectation is that we will maintain a current reporting status indefinitely as we work towards moving towards a 'fully reporting' status and a listing on a higher exchange."
The company is also expected to make changes to the company's board of directors. Mr. Nerison stated “We anticipate announcing the appointment of add two additional board members immediately following the October 16 event.” He explained that the company is “In discussion with industry professionals that can bring experience in both sports entertainment and mixed martial arts production with a goal of bolstering the management team and moving the company rapidly forward towards meeting its business goals.”
With all of the above positive changes in the works, it appears the company is on the right track to claim their market share of the fastest growing sport in the world, Mixed Martial Arts.

Great day expected for AVEW. The fight is this weekend, Wednesday gave the indication that there is a strong and patient investor base behind this stock and with the shares slightly dropping below a penny yesterday (Wednesday), Thursday just became a great day to buy AVEW! Let's turn up the VOLUME!

Volume: 228,100
There's some nice midday volume! lets keep it moving!
Agreed, what a sign of a solid investor base looking out for long term growth! This is such a great sign.
"I'm hoping the lack of activity this morning is a sign that we're starting to build a base of investors that are willing to hold on to their stock for longer than a couple of days. If the investors here will show some patience with allowing the potential of AVEW to develop, then we'll all have that "multi-bag". "

A little Background On What We're All Hunting For!
"I'm new at this so if I am WAY off please help me out"
I was researching what a 5-10 Bagger is and came across a post on Ihub. Below is that post:
Peter Lynch' Investment Philosophy:
10-bagger (n): A stock whose price multiplies 10 times over, leaving the shareholder euphoric, giddy, and ... rich.
His most famous investment principle is simply, "Invest in what you know," popularizing the economic concept of "local knowledge". This simple principle resonates well with average non-professional investors who don't have time to learn complicated quantitative stock measures or read lengthy financial reports. Since most people tend to become expert in certain fields, applying this basic "invest in what you know" principle helps individual investors find good undervalued stocks.
Lynch uses this principle as a starting point for investors. He has also often said that the individual investor is more capable of making money from stocks than a fund manager, because they are able to spot good investments in their day-to-day lives before Wall Street. Throughout his two classic investment primers, he has outlined many of the investments he found when not in his office - he found them when he was out with his family, driving around or making a purchase at the mall. Lynch believes the individual investor is able to do this, too.
He also coined the phrase "ten bagger" in a financial context. This refers to an investment which is worth ten times its original purchase price and comes from baseball where "bags" or "bases" that a runner reaches are the measure of the success of a play. A "two bagger" would be a double, so by extension, two home runs and a double would be a "ten bagger".
