yes very much 'elegance'
nice sharing perspective
gotta 'hold on' for not a reason not to
Slipping today again. Do you think there is an outside chance VELTF will make it thru this quite difficult time for the company? I am not sure they have anything left 'business wise' to continue the battle.
Other than that, i guess we have a rather quiet board here, a least not infested with any garbage talk. lol
Thanks
I think we have finally run out of rumors, which were at least entertaining, to say the least.
Back to regular routine, watching the 'Doctor' and his 'Chiefs' come up with some plan to finance their/our future. Which leaves one rather queasy in itself.
Heading out for the afternoon, hard to watch this dripping process.
But the spirits remain up.
galt
It is all a part of 'restoring shareholder value plan'.
two steps back and one step forward aka 'Waltzing with Harvey'.
One more issue with 'fair certainty' is that the 'Big Chief' has definitely 'Not gone senile'..
With the addition of 'Mr Hugh' that brings the total 'Chiefs' including the above to (4) in the tent at the same time. Adding 'Mr Alex' as the 'tent overseer' should provide a fair amount of 'brainpower' to right this ailing ship.
I guess we shall await the 'puff of white smoke' from the tent chimney to give us our next direction, whenever that shall come..
Correct, 'Nothing is for sure'
That being said, it is fairly for 'sure' there will be indeed no 'buyout'.. And probably to be 'sure' 'Mr Hugh' did not come on board a company with said being sold near/nor there in the future.
Back to the 'financial issues' of the company #1 and probably #2 what the 'Mighty Doctor' has for a plan with the big lease signed in better times. Big questions???????
The 'boost to spirits'
are always a reminder of our 'Ariadne' and the ever so long journey this has become
peace to you my old friend
The cash i have is also 'insignificant' in regard to 'DGX/MRK'. If i wanted to invest in something else 'Denner' is involved in, i could only afford 5 shares of each of those two.
'IDIX', will put on the radar out of curiosity... thanks
'VVUS' is another company with his involvement in same..
Consider yourself fortunate if you make it thru today, let alone next week..
Live in the moment and forget the rest!!
I like the optimism, but it sure looks 'bleak' here..i guess that is why it hangs around .03 cents..
do not know if it is a going concern, but still trades daily..the demise of the company was difficult to watch. Hard to believe that less than a year ago Mr Jeff Ross had high expectations that were reiterated going into May/June period.
I appreciate the perspective..
To say the least, this is quite an unusual play in the 'markets'. Followed for quite some time now and continues to be unique as the 'story' unfolds.
Again, thanks
well now i think 'herd'
lol
this got deleted before, try again
Maybe you should have separated the two missives out..
I have some 'bad news and some good news' for all, which do you prefer first..
I am sure the first one got some pulses beating more rapidly..
Nice follow thru with the second....lol
galt
Well, thank you very much for the compliment sir.
Best regards

Part III
and if they continue with trials they will be 'worldwide' initiated i believe he stated at around 28:40..
And part II
"So if I could just focus everyone’s attention on these three panels back in September 2013, patient showing large metastatic lesions in the liver, these are two CT scan slices through the mid abdomen and you can see in the lower slice, very large multiple lesions in the liver. The tumor progresses over the next two months as pazopanib is stopped and then the physician in November decided to start the patient on 30 milligrams a day of Iclusig. And as you can see, we’re starting with tumor progression. And then within one month, four weeks of Iclusig therapy, what we have here, although these lesions look more apparent, if you think about the way the CT scan represents those lesions, what we really have is a dramatic beneficial response, showing shrinkage of the individual lesions, but as well massive cystic necrosis. So think about this as the lesions essentially melting and thus becoming cysts as opposed to solid tumors. And so this is clear evidence of dramatic response in this individual patient to Iclusig within just one month of treatment at 30 milligrams a day. This patient continues on treatment as do several other patients in Germany in this just center, again with similar sorts of responses being seen. The results from the trial which is separate from this will be presented at ASCO in a number of months".
Sure you listening to the current conference?
"So we currently have ongoing a Phase 2 trial looking at GIST, at Iclusig in patients with resistance to refractory GIST those results I expect will be reported at ASCO this year.
Let me show perhaps one example of a case which I think says a lot about the potential of Iclusig in patients with GIST. GIST stands for gastrointestinal stromal tumor, it’s a type of sarcoma, but very different than the sort of classic sarcoma. And eventually as patients fail frontline therapy which is imatinib, patients metastasize to liver, peritoneum and other intra-abdominal and other organs. So, this is an example of a case, not from the clinical trial, but from a patient who was treated in Germany. Iclusig is available in Germany, a very well known just research group in Germany, knew the data on Iclusig, the pre-clinical data in [KP and KP] mutations and so, GI can get easy access to Iclusig, because it’s commercially available in Germany. I’m going prescribe it and I’m going to treat my patient who has failed four prior lines of therapy for chest".
i believe it all had something to do with the 'smegma' issues and somehow 'mitosis03' was also involved down at the 'cybercafe'! lol
to stay on topic here, thought Dr Berger did quite a nice job at RBC presentation. certainly did not 'seem' to be tired and was quite upbeat. In fact, over the past ten years i have not heard him present better in that frame of format. and he did not appear to be 'off-balance' at any point with his responses to questions. he is aging along with the rest of us, but still can dance with the best of them...

'Ian Estepan Tweet: $ARIA FT CEO says co in partnership discussions for Iclusig, expect an announcement soon - but what about that $20 bid?
Last update: 27/02/2014 12:01:14 pm'
on the 'con' side i can not recall if or when there will be a plan in place to address the 'Lease' on the 'New Headquarters'. I would assume there would be some millions involved if that is not fulfilled. Maybe the 'Good Doctor' will address that issue on the 25th.
agree with more money needed shortly, (June 1) probably the latest. the 'wall street' well has been drained with the last $18 tapout. i would think that a partnership of some sort will be needed sooner rather than later. we shall see..
sometime during the journey, the music was always good
in appreciation 'whence', thanks
interesting enough, i guess.
but maybe a bit flawed in regard to size of the 'float' a decade ago vs. todays 'float' of 158M. Mr Burger did go to the 'well' a fair amount of time in the past ten years since the 'float' was around 30M.
If my aging memory serves me correctly, 'Jim Birchenough' has a 'MD-Medical Degree' and is very well respected in the 'Analysts Community'..
Unfortunately, that 'community' is sorely lacking in a fair amount of credibility these days.
I always enjoyed his questioning and opinions during conference calls in much earlier days--which would be more than a decade ago. Mr Burger and Mr Birchenough always appeared to have some deep mutual respect for one another. That being said, i believe he does have a good understanding of how the 'bio-pharma' business works.
“There is significant value to be realized from Iclusig, AP26113, and the company’s highly efficient drug discovery platform,” Jim Birchenough, an analyst at BMO Capital Markets, wrote today in a research note. AP26113 is a drug in development. “Ariad assets are likely to attract large pharma interest.”
thanks for sharing, very interesting
grandma_of_jbraika
just for something or another from the 'cyber cafe'
Wonder how they will market the drug now in US? Got rid of the 'sales' division with the massive layoffs..
Perhaps they will 'co-opt' with BP company to take care of this small detail plus all the cash that will be needed to run 'new trials' needed for 1st line treatment..
I believe the good 'Doctor' did indicate new trials will be needed in this circumstance.
Been to the 'well' to many times, hopefully 'Harvey B' understands this issue quite well also.
the issue of 'lawsuits' or any other parties by 'berger' and company is ludicrous to say the least, from this lowly HO.
'feuerstein' probably has it quite right with this 'jab' at ole 'harv', whom i have been observing for some years now.
"But no. Call it reversion to the mean, bad luck or both, but Berger's behavior and decision making disintegrated in 2013. The toxicity and side effects associated with ponatinib (now known as Iclusig) became an issue soon after the drug was launched in January. On conference calls, Berger lashed out at critics or seemed defensive. He made excuses for selling Ariad stock. Worst of all (and unknown to investors) Berger was engaged in a fight with the FDA over the agency's growing concerns about blood clots and other heart safety side effects tied to Iclusig. Refusing to cooperate with FDA, particularly when the fight involves serious drug toxicity and the safety of patients is a losing game.
Berger lost. Ariad's patients, employees and shareholders lost too. And once again, Berger is one of the most despised CEO in bio-pharma".
'fighting' with FDA makes about as much sense as picking a fight with the 'IRS', even though you may have some valid points. the federal government has its share of thug employees, but rarely do they lose.
i am not sure 'the harv' has figured it out yet, but many good people have paid a severe price..
FWIW, it ain't much, but we all have and are entitled to an 'opinion' in this here 'land of the free'...
beta,
how long will this trade (days/weeks) and where will it move to OTC, etc. never have been involved in a bankrupt filing by a company?
thanks
'beta'
several weeks back i read an article (i do not recall from where) that Mr Subramanian had left 'Velti'. i have no idea whether he left on his own or was requested to leave.
whatever, i am not sure that is 'bad' news. 'Ms Baker' was also hired to clean up some of the mess of past few years. i have ascertained from reading her background, that she promotes discipline from top to bottom in her previous success on her resume with former companies that were quite successful.
If Mr Ross or she leaves 'velti', then i shall relinquish my beleaguered holdings in same. Until then, we shall go forward hopefully.
And to top it off, wy it is just a 'baby weasel' on top of it?
I think maybe a stray 'weasel' got in the 'henhouse'..Hurry, close the door before it attracts anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We should get some kind of 'news release' before long. At some point shorty i would think they (the company) will tell us if and when they are going to have a 'Earnings release date' coming up. At least i assume they will. lol...that event may very well answer some questions one way or another, hopefully.
I see MM reports Nov 13 after market close.
'beta'
congratulations on taking on the 'moderator' role. should help keep the 'riff/raff' at bay. lol
i guess 'Ms Baker' was spot on several months back when she stated 'that a number of senior management' would be cut during the revamping of the company going forward. usually it works the other way around and workers down the 'foodchain' are eliminated while management ranks remain over stocked.
will be interesting to see how the 'mobclix' affair turns out. not sure if there would be much there if 'whomever' picked it up at what price after assuming liabilities in the 13-15 mil range. any thoughts?
Well, i will be darned you can paste here which in and of itself is a drastic improvement over 'yahoo'..
Just wanted to check and see, as cannot remember if one can copy and paste at this site. Sad day it was when 'yahoo' made such a mess with their grand ideas to overhaul 'yahoo message boards'.
Well, we are off to a good start, at least the 'air' smells better in this part of the country (ihub) lol
Me to, 'moony'
"I am guarding against an emotional decision on my part to stay 100% in longer than I should."
I really do not know when to 'pull the trigger' at this juncture.
I continue to wrestle with +38 in maybe twelve months or maybe take some cash off the table at say 25/28 ish. I know i most certainly welcome 'discussion' on this/these timely time frames.
'BTH's' was indeed a 'timely sell'.
It is always such a difficult decision.
Thanks
I believe that Harvey has stated on more than one occasion, "5 years"
from introduction 'human dosing' to approval, as the standard of development for oncology products introduced by the company
just some 'color' on that subject
hope this is helpful
"Regretably, some of the more knowledgable folks post infrequently ,or not at all, here anymore".
And it may also be a blessing in disguise.
The 'knowledge'
Think about it from inner perspective 'Andy', what one shall seek
