I'd like to get back to .0015 next week, at least.
Amazing how it took millions of shares to go from .001 to .0018 yesterday (~5.5 million), and then around 1.5 million shares to drop to .0009.
Of course I always get in at the worst possible times, so I'm not really expecting any sort of recovery until after I sell. That's just the way things have been going for me lately.
I'm hoping for some spectacular news next week, because it'll take a lot of buying pressure (based on yesterday's movement) to bring this back up to the .0015 - .0020 range.
And I wouldn't exactly say they are "trying" to walk it down, because it seems to be working amazingly well.
Well, I must say, this is just sickening how few shares are trading, and how easily they are dropping the price.
$5.50 traded at the bid, and it drops to .0009 x .0011. Then $95 at .001, and now $35.10 at .0009.
Well, it looks like I'm stuck holding this one for a while. Not exactly the most encouraging price action going on right now.
They took it up from the low of .001 to .0018 on 5.5 million in volume, and now back to .0015 on 212k shares traded.
Really trying their best to bring it right back down.
Another shake on ZLUS ...
I seriously doubt ALL bid support vanished on 172k shares ... I mean, that's not even $300!
Maybe they thought the person selling had put in a market order? I really don't know, but it doesn't seem like that sudden change in the bid should have happened on that volume.
I guess we shall soon find out whether this will quickly return to the tight spreads, or result in another big dip.
A lot of people looking to take the profits from the dip. If we could just get a few million shares in buying pressure right here, we could go back to .002+.
At least, that's what I'm hoping for. Not really sure how many shares are sitting there at .0018, but I know mine aren't.
Hopefully just taking a break to catch her breath?
Until they gave me 1 million shares right there.
And pretty much no shares available ... keep having to raise my bid
I don't want to be one to bring "bad news", but what happened to the TickTweet site?
The site says it has been suspended.
I apologize if this has been brought up before now, but I haven't been keeping up with the posts lately.
I am really clueless as far as E*Trade's policies are concerned. I sold on Thursday, so the funds were set to settle today. So I figured I could buy and sell today with no problem ... but apparently the funds become available to PURCHASE securities on the settlement date, but can't be sold until the following day.
Well, now that I have that figured out, maybe I'll try to enter another order to sell at my target price tomorrow and see if they let me enter the order.
Well, I'm "stuck" with about 750k shares at .002 ...
I was starting to have problems with Scottrade, so I have been in the process of transferring over to E*Trade. Well, not so sure that was a good idea, as despite the fact that the funds I purchased with were settled, it won't allow me to even enter an order to sell if it goes up to my target price.
So, hopefully it can hold here and go back up, because I can't sell until Friday.
AUTO playing Peek-a-boo ... LOL
What do you think about BHWF after today's price movement to this point?
I only ask because I'm considering getting into that one.
And of course I won't call until it is absolutely necessary. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have the funds in my account AND will have at least attempted to apply for the margin account.
If I am approved for a margin account, it'll be off to the races! I need to make some money before I go back to school!
Hey "Ace", just wanted to update you on my trading accounts and all that, and I'm never sure when you'll be on AIM again, so I figured I'd mention it here real quick.
The Account Transfer has been completed according to E*Trade, so now I just need to wait for the funds to become available, and I'll be moving on to the next steps, trying to get margin set up.
Still nothing from Scottrade about my possible Free Ride today, so we'll see if I ever hear anything more about that in the coming days. Good thing you get a few warnings, otherwise I'd already be in trouble. LOL
Made a little oops ....
Last week I bought 850k shares of HTDS before asking somebody if they still thought it'd be worth getting into. Got in at .001 and today, figured it'd be below .0012 until tomorrow, so I set the order since I'm trying to stay away a little bit while funds settle, transfer, etc ...
Well, looks like I may have had my 2nd Free Ride violation ... lol
In my defense, Scottrade is no longer warning me when I go to sell a security that it was purchased with unsettled funds and may result in a regulation T violation.
Well, I had to post after seeing that "dirty" word ... LOL
Now maybe someday you'll mention a stock to me AND I'll actually listen! Until then I'll continue to be a silent observer. You know, you could try to make the iBox look a little bit better. I hate when things look too plain.
I hate that 7-letter word!
Well, maybe not that word directly, but what it entails ... lots and lots of debt! If I were more of a social type, I could have gone to a public college with 25,000+ students, but I hate people ... so I have a $50k / year price to pay for that.
I can't continue to read this board if "college" *cringes* is mentioned again ... LOL
I've "lost" a lot of money because of that 3-day settlement delay. I need to get a margin account for the reason you did, to get away from the settlement date frustrations. If I end up getting the account, I don't plan on using it any differently than a cash account, other than to get around the settlement dates.
Hopefully I can actually get the margin account, since I'm kind of, sort of, not working this summer, so lack of income could potentially (?) result in my margin application being approved.
I don't really know what they look at when you apply, but lack of employment certainly doesn't seem like it'll help my cause any.
I contacted E-Trade, and found out what was going on.
Since I had sold on Monday, more than 3 days after purchasing the securities that were sold, those funds were available for trading. I then purchased another security on Tuesday, and sold today. Since that was NOT 3 days or more after I purchased it, the funds won't be available until the settlement date for this latest transaction.
So, I guess if you sell on or after the settlement date of a purchase, you can buy something with those funds immediately after the sale, but if you sell short of the settlement date, you must wait until the funds have settled to use them.
That may not be 100% accurate, but that's what my trades and their response tell me to be the case. Of course, this can all be eliminated with a Margin Account, which I will applying for later this month after this little wake-up call. LOL
To put it simply, either the buy OR the sell MUST settle before the funds can be used again.
Well, thanks for trying at least.
I just figured I'd see if any of the E-Trade users here had experienced the same thing in the past. I guess I just need to be a little more patient with my trading, and not rushing into things so quickly.
Shows up in the Cash Balance section, but isn't included in the Unsettled Funds Available for Investment section.
To make things even more confusing, "Funds withheld from Purchasing Power" still shows up as $0.00.
And sidesh0wb0b, no, it isn't a Margin Account.
I think I already made E-Trade mad ...
I sold a stock on Monday, and got into something else. The settlement date for that stock was obviously today 7/9/09. Now, with Scottrade, funds settle at the start of the day that is listed, so I figured I was good to sell that other stock today. Apparently I was mistaken ....
It now shows $0.00 in Purchasing Power for my account. Anybody with E-Trade care to inform me as to what I did wrong according to THEIR rules?
Glad to hear more back regarding the weekly contest ... now I just wish I had funds available to open the account. But at least they (Noble Trading) are actually going through and paying (or so it seems).

Looks like I picked the wrong time to get into something yet again ...
I hope I didn't screw up too badly - picked up a million shares at .0016.
No, I meant for Noble Trading so that I can claim my prize.
Need to come up with $500 to open an account there, otherwise I can't get my $100.
I'm liking the TickTweet site already.
Now I just need to come up with the money to open an account to claim my prize.
Did I miss anything good while I was out Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday?
Looks like they still don't like to let us close at the ask. Hopefully we'll be right back up to start off next week.
Keep it green for me while I'm out trying to get XP onto a Dell that came with Vista. The more green, the better.
Even if we stall here for a while longer, at least nobody is dumping at the bid at .03 anymore.
My pockets are empty .. could use some support on the bid before they drop it back to .028. That or keep hitting the ask.
Tried small hits at the ask to see if they'd move up, but that failed, so now I'm just pushing the bid and hoping NITE holds there
Not directed to anyone in particular, but I do have something to say about the trading going on here.
The idea of "teamwork" - holding shares, and buying up those being sold, is a good idea if it works. But it seems to me that continuing to buy up shares on the bid while NITE will move the price down after just a few trades, seems counter productive. It's like saying, let's keep the price up, by buying low.
So adding "bid support" doesn't seem to be helping the share price out one bit - maybe it is time for a different approach? Just seems like those complaining about the people selling at the bid are as responsible for the price movement as the sellers. In fact, one could argue that they are more responsible since the sellers begin at the ask, and only after nobody bites do they dump at the bid, and buying at the ask would prevent that.
Not trying to upset anyone, but just voicing my concerns about the whole "teamwork" plan attempting to stabilize the share price.
Can't sell at these prices, no.
.035 is the biggest loss I'm willing to take right now, so looks like back to waiting for a bit. Maybe things will turn around before I try and get stupid again.
Sorry guys, but I have to try and get half of my shares out at .035. So, if anybody wants to take 'em off my hands, 50k cheapies waiting at .035 for you.
I just need to take the loss on some of them, and try to preserve some of my capital, just in case this pattern of down days continues.
Currently holding ~103k shares .. trying to be patient, but it is getting tough to wait it out while my account value is slowly dwindling.
