Thanks DTL.
How many shares are outstanding?
The last number I can find indicatng the number of shares outstanding is 735 million. Does anyone know if this is still valid and where it can be found?
Thanks...BB
Thanks.... I "assumed" Well #2 is the 2nd well they are drilling.... not the first one drilled.
Dead, I just re-read the last release and there was nothing about that well. The only reference I saw to Belize wells was that they would be wireline logging Well # 2 and all future Belize wells.
I am long here, but wondering why we have heard nothing about the initial well drilled in Belize. Any speculation on what is going on with it and when we will see something in print about any progress?
Well, the activity of Monday and Tuesday on this stock might be the strangest of any I have ever seen. Apparently, someone did decide to take a position in an unwise way. To purchase a half a million shares on a stock that trades by appointment did a great job of pushing the price up, but I don't suspect it will last without something else to support it.
Hopefully news is not far off and if good (which I suspect it will be), perhaps that will drive the share price north.
What pump? How could anyone ever claim any pumping has ever gone on with this company?
I would love to know what happened yesterday and I hope it continues, but if anything, ONCO is painfully silent about what is going on.
My guess is that as (someone) said in a previous post, perhaps news is on the way and something has leaked out. If that was the case, however, I would have
expected to see more volume and a more sustained price.
Time will tell
Is it just me, or is anyone else a bit concerned about TECO's inability to hold a gain today? We really do need to finish the game and hold on to the lead. Until more volume comes in for the whole trading day (it dramatically dropped of today in the afternoon), the MMs can set the price as they please.
Buy on rumor, sell on news...
Any chance you could explain what these mean. I can make no sense out of the permit information.
Thanks...
Does anyone know how to get in touch with the company? The numbers listed on the Valcent IHUB page are disconnected.
Thanks...
I am surprised at both the volume and the price today. I expected both to be higher.
In this mock referendum, about 30,000 people turned out to vote and these were, obviously from the results, very committed to stopping the drilling.
Belize has a total population of over 333,000 so the other 90%+ may well not reflect the same opinion.
One fact to keep in mind that, as I understand, the shelf extends quite far into the carribean sea and is very shallow. Drilling beyond the borders of Belize could bring the same potential hazzards without providing Belize with any income from drilling operations.
In some respects, it might be beneficial for Belize to allow offshore drilling to at least gain some benefits.
We will know our fate shortly and TECO will know where things stand. I love the ocean and enjoy snorkling and would not like to see anything happen to their natural reefs or coastline, but with the conditions there (shallow, relatively calm waters), stringent governmental oversight of drilling may be in their best interests.
WTF does that mean?
So here I sit wondering how so many people on this thread can believe that TECO has fabricated false results regarding the oil find in Belize. So, making an assumption that is true, wouldn't the SEC investigate a false claim if this was the case? Surely the press behind this would have been enough to raise a flag and initiate an investigation.
With no word from either the the DoB or TECO to verify who is wrong, what would make the most sense?
Either Cho and the GoB were right, in which case stringent penalties and perhaps expulsion from Belize would have certainly occurred, or TEOC is correct and the silence is an opportunity to hush the affair and save face for Cho.
Which do you believe?
why do you invest your money ?
I wonder if they will confirm the viability of the well over the weekend to bury the news and try to save face.
Cho is probably looking for a way out.
paragonreport.com
Sorry, won't copy/paste as I probably agreed to in their rules.
It is out of date.... last financials are as of 12/31/10 and really provides little that I found helpful.
Subscribe and read it for yourselves, but don't expect too much.
I read it... I found it useless
Strangely enough, it is still holding at $0.004 / $0.005 after the 50000 share sale.
After months at .002 and .003 bids, why is it now .004?
and so someone whacked it for 50,000 shares.
(you'll be sorry)
Bid/ask has moved to .004/.005
Yikes!
I agree, but you are missing the point....
No material event occurs in Belize until the regulators approve. This is why there has been so much flack from them and the denial that any found was made.
Without the "news" leaking out, the process would have been to have it approved and then release the news. Treaty stated this was the process long before they hit oil.... Bull's "news" came out prematurely and forced their hand.
I don't fault Bull for this... I would have done the same thing, but in retrospect, TECO ahould not have allowed it.
Please show me the flaw in this logic.
Not quite correct... TECO made the mistake of allowing Bull (no offense intended Bull) to be on site when oil was hit. His communications probably made this an uncomfortable situation and TECO had to react.
That's my opinion
Bingo...
Another reason to believe we have oil.... well if you use some logic...
1) Scams are usually subtle. Releasing news that is flagrantly wrong is stupidity and will get you a jail sentence. This did not happen.
2) The "regulators" in Belize are, well, let's say a bit slow on the uptake. Remember, they required that a certain cement be used on the casing that wasn't even available in Belize (duh!) and they have never been through this before as Treaty is the new guy on the block and BNE probably has carte blanch and does what they want. They probably pay the regulators to sit at the Belize equivalent of Dunkin Donuts to keep them out of their hair.
No.. ericshon3 is correct. This dog will hunt. We just have to wait for Elmer Fudd (Belize regulators) to put their shoes on.
I am long and also hope the rumor is true, but it is only a rumor until confirmed by the company.
I thought Treaty wasn't going to released news until the 2nd well was drilled. If this is true, why are so many of you expecting news so soon?
5000 sold today at the bid... is that you again Compass?
Sorry to hear... that is why I place "all or nothing" conditions on my bids. Usually, they don't execute, but it eliminates the games these market makers play.
I sure hope we hear something soon. This is getting to be more boring than the LSU/Alabama game last night.
500 shares... big day. I can't imagine who anyone could have afforded the $1.00 for that buy.
Did he mention when to expect news?
Bilnd, you are just plain wrong. Sorry...you do add a good deal to this thread, but math skills is not one of them.
I'll be happy to buy your shares at $ .0012 if you would like to sell. I only wish I had been the buyer yesterday. I still haven't lost faith in the company.
97000 shares bought so far today, yet the whoring market makers keep the bid at .002 while raising the ask to .005
What a bunch of a-holes
Zman,
Thanks... the company looks interesting. I'll do some DD and maybe bite a little.
Also, when I have some ONCO shares to sell, could you advertise them for me? With one post, you managed to sell almost 600K shares and moved the market up about 100%. Nice job.
Good luck to you ....
Zman,
You have our sympathy and our sorrow. I too have been here for some time, but not quite ready to give up. Care to share what opportunity you discovered?... it never hurts to listen.
Good luck on selling your shares
Nabbss,
Thanks for the reply. I am and have been a shareholder for years now and also believe the company will be successful in the long run. I just don't feel that we will be seeing any news any time soon....
