When John Beebe did the question and answer session last week in Opp, he did say that they traveled to Germany to look at new technology that would be used to produce the bio-diesel.
( Equipment using multiple feed stocks to make the product.) Mr. Beebe said that this equipment was not available in the United States and that they had to go overseas for it.
With the equipment that Perihelion is going to install in their plant, they can use multiple feed stocks and keep production going as climate or market conditions change. They want production running 18 hours per day, 360 days per year.
The reason that some of the other companies producing bio-diesel
had gone out of business, was because they could only produce the product from one or maybe two feed stocks. When the feed stock became unavailable, the production came to a hault, employees were laid off and bills were not paid, resulting in bankruptcy. Mr. Beebe said that Perihelion was NOT going to make this mistake.
The file of his speech and question/answer session is on the PHGI website. You will need to download and install a MP4 player to listen to it. Everything sounds very positive.
I think that we are going to be fine. Just give it some time.
