DANG! Ended up 14% to .01 and I didn't get my order filled. Order stands...there's always tomorrow but I won't be disappointed if it never goes below .01 again.
Trying to snag another 100K below .01. Now I'm getting greedy.
goldenpb,
Not to mislead anyone...I was responding to ditchman's post right below mine...from the link he provided, the last paragraph...
http://www.proactiveinvestors.com/companies/news/19371/great-basin-gold-strongly-positioned-with-increasing-gold-production-in-nevada-and-south-africa-19371.html
which is from late 2011 looking forward. I'm just saying that there was a great deal of projected hope. Huge potential.
"According to TD Ameritrade and Yahoo Finance, the average one year analyst price target for Great Basin Gold is $4.55 – triple the current share price…"
DANG!!!!!
Today looked like a classic reversal to me. eom
I'm kickin' myself letting today's PPS slide by me without sucking up 100K or so. Maybe we've turned a corner here? Interesting day so far.
Sort of looks like a sell off of some kind. I hope it's not leaked info also. Wow. That would be bad.
Excellente, trandernine. I'm looking under couch cushions for more dry powder at the moment. A little over .5 million and I barely qualify for the Bellagio party. If they do unload and this does drop I'm going to sell the car and walk for a few weeks. Expecting some leaks from the bidding to actually see some activity in PPS or volume soon.
If we did hold on to Hollister what would our PPS look like? eom
OMG and don't think these bidders don't look at all this info and know what's possibly under the dirt. WOW! And if you have more than one bidder you have a possible gold mine.
DANG! So close...and yet...so very far... GO GBGLF eom
According to Burnstone owner, Great Basin Gold, the mine can be described as a shallow, semi-mechanised mine with reefs starting at 358 m below surface. It has proven and probable reserves of 6.4 Moz and 12.2 Moz of measured and indicated resources. Its capacity is capable of delivering an average annual gold production of 160 000 oz at cash costs of US$650 over 25 years.
Worth a bundle.
Hey, gold up $28 bucks. I feel a breeze... a current... there's dust in the air... a change is coming... I'm not laughing, $.50 and we see each other at the Bellagio. I'll buy the free drinks.
Keeps us as a going concern with potential...especially if we can keep some of our senior gold executives.
Now that is an interesting tid-bit. If we have funds to spare after the sale they sure won't go directly to us -- they will be used to expand our other interests like Mozambique. This could be a very interesting play long term.
Tex, it may be that there is some knowledge out there and they want to stay under the radar and are only buying a million here and there. 30 days -- 30 million.
I will say that I'm a bit bummed that there is a sure disregard for shareholder value in that we have no reliable news or news source. I would think that somebody would be assigned to keep the shareholders abreast of developments even if slight or just saying 'no news' would be news.
I wondering how much has been leaked? Seems we should be getting a bit of a rise out of some good news leaks?
I'm standing on .5 million that aren't going anywhere. eom
Man, Polar Bear, you fill me up with just enough courage to swig the koolaid. I'm juiced. I'm staggering under the weight of Bellagio glory. And I mean it. I am holding on with ten fingers and ten toes. Scratching the chalk board on the way down. Keep the info coming...I love it...it is very encouraging.
Oh, what the heck. Looks like sumpin's up. eom
.06 or .15 would still give me a ticket to Bellagio BUT without the 15 bottles of champagne. That's a 3 to 7 bagger for me. I started buying at .24 and added at .08 and really pushed on the peddle at .01. If we get anything I'll be very happy. Vegas maybe not but a new home on the lake is very possible.
Ya', my coffee brewing right now (slurp)
Missin' the polarbear. Was a reason for signing in everyday. Well, I'm hangin' with my .5 million shares. See what happens? My mortgage isn't due for five days, hehheh, 10 day grace period.
Maybe we'll see you in National Geographic on one of those ice floats? Enjoyed the daily read and huge amount of info.
Moi, too, on the 'benefit greatly' part. It worries me also that there has been no PR. Could it signify that we shareholders are not included in the 'benefactor' category?
CoHo, that's just HUGE. HUGE! But I'd like to see this reflected in the PPS and it isn't yet. I would suspect that a leak would have developed and the pps would reflect favorably or unfavorably in the pps. I think this next week should give us answers. I'm digging for some more powder to plow into GBG.
Have a great weekend holiday.
Alvarez and Marsal
ABOUT ALVAREZ & MARSAL out of San Fransisco helping Hollister broker a deal with the bank (whatever that means?) but it goes on to say that Hollister is separated from the South African deal. Interesting?

Good GOLLY MISS MOLLY. There's $$$ in them thar shares. eom
DANG! You're right! eom
Juschilln,
As F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, 'living well is the best revenge.' This is why we are all going to meet at the Bellagio and clink the crystal. Sometimes it does happen on these crap shoots and this is better odds than I've played in a long time. I'm in it big, too, and could use a huge payday here.
Good luck to all longs.
Agreed. We're in the process of buying a short sale and selling present domicile. Trying to lock in a 30 yr fixed. It's a load of paperwork. Just keeping interest rates low isn't enticing the banks to lend, in fact, makes them less likely long term.
Holding my paltry .5 million shares of GBGLF till smoke clears.
Best.
US home prices rise 8.1 pct., most since mid-2006
TexR, Just today. Home prices. U.S. home prices rose in January at the fastest pace since the summer of 2006, just before the housing bubble burst. The gain shows the housing recovery is strengthening ahead of the spring buying season.
Interesting....
TexR, I agree whole heartedly. We should see some movement if the bids are good. Volume should snake up, too.
Could be a very exciting week ahead...I'm game. eom
YES! "involved in Business RESCUES" Very encouraging. Thanks gpb.
You mean INSANITY? I'm sure many of us would subscribe to downing the Koolaide by the truckload (backing the truck up) if you put it like that. I've thrown all I can at GBGLF and could free up more if the house sells soon.
Question: Could possible suitor buy GBGLF with shares? Or does it have to be cash or can it be a combination? I would certainly accept shares in a viable, on going venture (big venture).
Another 'here, here' eom
Here, here. Excellante! Nice post. eom
I'll take the skinny ray of sunshine...need the vitamnin D.
