porscha, I have a question for you. I hope it's one that you don't find "frustrating". Are you somewhat surprised NVEI is trading at .42 instead of $42?
spokeshave, could you please compare Ketch to Ray, John Howell, and Cooper as leaders of NVEI? I'm pretty sure you have some opinions. Have you talked with all of them about NVEI affairs? I believe Ketch called you if I'm not mistaken.
So porscha, you don't feel any shareholders are capable of forming and expressing opinions on the various leaders of NVEI?
BULL, you are "reaching" sir.
Yes, I'll admit I, unfortunately, placed too much confidence in some of the NVEI "cheerleaders" in the past. Blame them for my investment decision. NO. But, ever now and then I like to remind them how wrong they were on some past prognostications, especially when they play games with me. Ring a bell?
immitt, I know it's got my attention.
So dutchf, you feel the salaries are not excessive?
What indications could possibly make the market makers realize that NVEI is going to make it happen?
wheels, thanks for a sensible response. You don't act as cool as some others on this board.
porscha, that's lame and you know it. My question is legitimate. If you can't offer anything better than that, "ZIP IT"! Your wit is not as cute as you think it is.
immitt, could you please compare Ketch to Ray, John Howell, and Cooper as leaders of NVEI?
spokeshave, under the "need funds for tech development scenario", would you advocate a voluntary delay in full salaries (maybe a 25-30% reduction) until tech revenues are assured? Then full salaries, plus back pay, plus bonuses if certain tech revenues are achieved. Why doesn't this make sense?
I value your input tremendously.
EW, Ketch is a big reason why I, too, have hopes for my investment in NVEI.
cosmo, why not, if he knows huge revenues are coming? More money for him in bonuses.
By the way, as to reasons why I've shifted to a more positive tone. Ketch's letter, increased volume, some cautious shareholders have expressed optimism.
Jeff P., how's next week look? Is a close above .45 realistic? I think so, with the increased volume and with the possibility of some signifcant news around the corner. (If you call by the end of August "around the corner".)
"I happen to like Brad and I think he's honest"
I'll second that and will be tremendously disappointed if he let's us down.
cosmoworld, under the circumstances, could you see voluntary delays in full salaries until tech revenues are assured? Then full salaries, plus back pay, maybe even bonuses. This may make the most sense.
"And yes, a 25-30% cut in income for management until we start to bring in income from the tech is not too musch to ask"
I'd like to see a unified expression of support for this from shareholders. Maybe they'll get the message that we "demand" results not more rhetoric. Hopefully, this will be a "mute subject" by the Shareholder Meeting.
excel, I've tried to express some of these suggestions in the past, though not as eloquently and elaborately. Please consider presenting these suggestions at the Shareholders' Meeting if the situation does not change by then.
doughjo, that could very well have been a "sticking point". I would think that will be brought up at the Shareholders' Meeting if no funding is in place.
immitt, if I recall correctly, you've done some complaining too. As has Sidhaman. The fact that posters like you two are now upbeat, encourages me that things could work out.
What does Utah have to do with it? Will the meeting be held there?
Also excel, shouldn't there have been a Shareholders' Meeting date announced by now? Haven't the recent Shareholders' Meetings been in July? What conclusions, if any, can be drawn from this? Could they be waiting to finalize funding, testing or both?
I do appreciate the time you take to respond to my questions. This is an exciting time to be an NVEI "long". IMO
excel, so are you saying this leads to the conclusion that testing is on-going?
excel, do you believe NVEI may have already recieved the test results?
NVEI, if things go as expected by the company, belongs on the NASDAQ.
Sidhaman, could the reason that "funding is just around the corner" be that testing has been completed and a financier is impressed with the results?
NT, this fabulous news, maybe we are seeing a foundation forming for a an appreciation in the share price. Let's hope.
Has Ketch stated anywhere that there will "definately" be test results within eights months (by the end of August by my calculations)?
Sidhaman, any chance you could give a list that includes this company without really saying which one it is? "And a GIANT chip maker has the tech." ex. Intel, AMD, etc.
Sidhaman, as someone who through experience, has learned to be cautious in my approach to NVEI, must admit your current optimism intrigues me. I know you are not the "cheerleader-type".
I wish Berkowitz would execute some of his influence on the investment community. If the tech will result in "big bucks" (Berkowitz should have a good idea), shouldn't he be able to convey that to some financiers?
Does anybody think Berkowitz is involved in the "find funding" process? I thought he was a "hot shot" at that sort of thing.
Seems like a "lack of enthusiasm" here today. Actually, I was impressed with last week's letter. "On the surface", NVEI appears to be making progress and on schedule. IMO
Did anybody else see the CNBC report this afternoon on Broadband Access over Power Lines? A company called Pepco has an interesting product that will be out this fall. Not sure how their speeds compare to NVEI, but they seem farther along in development.
When Ivan Berkowitz became involved with NVEI, wasn't this the sort of thing that it was thought he could possibly spearhead?
"Somewhere there has to be someone, or a group of individuals who clearly see the value of Embarq and are willing to invest at a reasonable rate in order to share in the wealth that Embarq is said to be capable of generating."
wheels, I appreciate your thoughts. Simply put, Ketch's does not appear to be a BSer. That's one thing that keeps me plugging away with this investment
spokeshave, I was impressed with the letter. I thought I heard a little "Rolling Thunder". But I've heard too much talk and not enough action over the years. So, I guess I am cautiously optimistic.
spokeshave, how impressed were you with Ketch's recent Letter To Shareholders?
Doesn't NVEI have some good, influential lawyers that could help remedy these scenarios if they have proof that they are the case?
flopflip, thanks a bunch. How can the MMs do any of these things within the jurisdiction of the SEC? Is somebody with authority "fumbling the ball"?
