Now that's very interesting. Did you post it on the RB board, and if so, what was the reaction?
Not that I can't make a pretty good guess.
Okay, board bookmarked....
True. But now that Mr Lobster's gone, who gets the role of Horatio?
AlanC is a classic example of someone who believes in the short conspiracy. He has been unwavering since day one that PCBM has been shorted and now only a reincarnation by Horatio Alger will save this stock.
Really makes you wonder what sort of thought processes are at work here...
Now they think PCBM's settlement is linked to CMKM's spin off next Monday.
That's true:
nterestingly, if you had shares that became worthless, and you declared them worthless, took the loss, yet hung on to the shares, you're OK if they later regain value. The IRS now anticipates that a stock you kept while declaring it to be worthless later rises from the dead. In that case, no need to amend, but use the worthless date as the acquisition date and 0 as the cost basis. So in this regard they are pretty lenient.
Back in 1998, when MTEI blew up, there was much discussion about tax options. Several shareholders consulted with the IRS and with accountants, and were told that they could write the stock off as "worthless". I think when it was halted it was at 15 cents, but it eventually dropped below a penny. Back in those days, sub-penny was extraordinary, not "normal" as it is now.
I think most of the MTEI victims did hold on to their stock, but were able to take a tax loss as well. Needless to say, the stock never recovered.
Of course it'd be much better if you could prove fraud on the shareholders. Then you'd be able to deduct much more.
Sure! Where do I go?
Janice...we are doing a Secret Santa on the 202 board...would you like to be part of it?
Quite a few people, I'd say.
Amazing, isn't it? Really IS like mass brainwashing.
and the idiots think this is a positive development.
She was mostly posting on the CYPT thread, where she took a real beating from longs and "bashers" alike on Friday night.
lol, they can't get me because I don't use multiple aliases. But they suspended me till the 29th, which is an unusually long suspension.
Linda very obviously has pull with someone at RB.
Or Linda. By the time it got back up this morning I and a number of Linda's other critics had been tossed or suspended.
Slurpy had it shut down when he found out I was posting there.
Me too.
I think I'd much prefer they caught Bin Laden.
Seemed as if the doctor was checking for lice....
But if she stopped drinking she might get even meaner.
SBG is such a gentle soul. So well-mannered, so well-spoken.
Pete, If anyone even thinks of F'ing with me here I will rip there necks off and stuff it up there azz!!
OH NOOOOOOO!! Do you by any chance find yourself stuck inside Mbraindeath's head? Echo must be deafening.
Ya think?
I see our PCBM has very little volume today. I also notice no Slurp posts. Gee, I wonder if there is any connection?
Sounds more like All*n.
Someone did wear a speedo on RB... I can't remember who it was... senderos?
LOL!! I think that would have enormous appeal for many PCBM True Longs. Now all you have to do is get Slurp to pump it.
Billions of gallons can be carried in the backpack of one marine and can provide fluids for millions. Just add water and -poof- you have rehydrated it.
This appears to be one of the things Slurp is telling his followers in private:

lol, I think minerscreek (who spells "rumor" as "rummor", like You Know Who) was Slurp. I suspect he occasionally borrowed the alias.
I agree.
Note also that Slurp is being very careful. He's not actually telling anyone to buy, and he's not saying anything specific.
But I think there are still quite a few PCBMers who think he "knows" something. LOOK how many got into CMKM, and then OMOG. They'll be sorry, but they never seem to learn.
But don't forget: grey market stocks can trade by appointment. And if you want to do a big enough deal, you'll be able to find a cooperative MM.
It seems they can. Look at the zoo board. Many of 'em are buying. And who knows what other suckers are buying on the basis of email spam and the like?
The question is, can anyone sell these shares at all?
Yup. I think it's probable that Someone is selling at 0.0002, and then those shares are being resold at 0.0003. Everybody profits.
Something else worth noting: the bid size is one share. Clearly the MMs don't want to find themselves forced to buy at 0.0001. They're probably only taking in as much as they think they can sell quickly, and they're closing out their positions at the end of the day.
Slurp's been very busy the last few days. I suspect that when he stops, we'll be seeing no bid once again.
That's very touching. Maybe Wendy could stitch it on a sampler.
Looks interesting. But they might not let me join because I've never worked for Goldman Sachs...
lol, she's also making a fool of herself on the RB CYPT thread.
Careful, or Linda will be over here like a shot.
Lol, the cave has always been utterly pointless, but it seems to give 'em hope.
lol, I wonder how many aliases Slurp used to register shares...
In the old cave, one of your buddies texercana, had his shares listed under at least three different aliases.
I'm trying to remember when you talked to Mr Lobster...
'm not saying it will happen...but here in PCBM land
anything is possible
Obviously it'd make a difference if your conversation took place before or after they'd issued 25 billion shares.
I agree. I suspect that most of the sellers were fairly recent buyers who were relieved to have a shot at getting out.
The hardcore True Longs will never sell.
You know, I think Gerry's run out of people to iggy, so he's iggying everybody all over again.
lol, did you notice that at the close the bid went back to "unpriced"?
In the photo I saw he looked about 65. But maybe I wasn't paying attention, and was looking at the wrong person.
