NFLX was...is....and always has been one of my favorite plays. believe it or not, I go tinto NFLX years ago when the shorts had battered this all the way down to 4. I didn't get it there, but thankfully did when it was still trading in the single digits. May I find many more just like it in my year to come!!!
Like most pinkies...this was specualtive. As such, sometimes you win if the 'fluff' can produce a run and sometimes you lose. This did look, at one point, like some life was beginning here.
GLTA with your plays this week. May some of them prove to be good runners.
The other trading mistake often made:
People buy in nice and low. They also have an eye on what's happening with other plays. When they see something running, they sell the stock they got in on at the low to chase another already running. They say to themselves 'I'll be back with even more fund to buy more shares here' anticipating that the stock they 'chase' will make them more than the 'yet-to-run' stock is making them.
Problem is, since they are chasing, they are not 'buying low'. That often losing strategy is 'buying high, selling higher'. The end result is you now have fewer funds and are less able to re-purchase what you had in the beginning. So then you say, I'll make that money back with 'XYZ', which is running...but the cycle starts all over again. The end result is significantly fewer funds to buy the stock you originally. the kick in the pants is that as time goes by, that low-priced stock is now running and you have elected your self out of the race.
Hard (and expensive) lessons to be learned out here.
All I can say is...Go ICOA
Yes...and the source of many bad decisions. The greedier one gets and/or the bigger one's financial commitment to a company, the more likely it is decisions will be made on emotions rather than a winning strategy. Easy to contemplate...difficult to implement and control.
That's why I like being able to accumulate at levels like that offered by ICOA. You can grow your position before any momo rather than chasing once it's begun. You just have to have patience.
Yes. I second that. It is always helpful to have info directly from the source. Also, i find it reassuring that ICOA has an established past. There was no indication of mismanagement or questionable existence. Thankfully, there is tons of information available regarding previous client wins and expansion efforts. I see their recent PR and the references of an upcoming PR as an indication that they are about to revisit a growth strategy. The job offering on their web-site says it all. How many people are hiring in leadership positions to oversee sales and acquisitions???
Looks like the ICOA-elevator is about to go up!!!
I agree. Keep in mind also that a good deal of ICOA's float is currently held by you and I and a few others. MT has indicated what buys he went after as did others. Collectively, would 30% be a totally inaccurate estimate?
...and yes...there are lots of eye on this as we know some 'bigger fish' have peeked in here to say hello.
Best aspect for newbies looking to take a bit, it that they don't have to be in a position wondering whether those of us who got in much lower will be holding or selling. They can still accumulate at the same price that you and I have been able to get shares at.
Go ICOA!
I hear ya. None of us are lost on that reality. The thing with the pinkies though is that $200 can give you a ten-bagger if you buy low and sell high. that is the opportunity that ICOA offers. Not much lower than 2's. All we need is volume.
Well said. Go ICOA!
Hey Lars.
We printed 4 twice during the past 3 weeks. Weekly volume and accumulation continue to look fabulous. ICOA will make us money...unless someone becomes inpatient and dumps on the bid, but the fact the 4's came up this past week despite the bid-whacker, I thin there's little inventory left to keep us @ 2.
Let's go with those projections you put forth...what does that ay about current market cap? The way to make $$$ is to get in front of that train...not chasing it, but I'm preaching to the converted now...LOL.
KJAX...thanks for posting that. I don't know if you've ever seen the series 'Spartacus' (I believe a Showtime series). There is a place known as 'The Pits'. It is not somewhere you want to spend mush time, but those who are successful there earns much glory. Penny Land reminds me of those pits. There is danger at every turn. Many will do well to head that flow-chart you posted. Keep and eye on what is happening with the plays on your watch list, but never let anyone 'decide for you' what you do with your funds and never miss an opportunity to take your profits. That is how you survive the Pits...um, I mean 'penny Land'....lol
Go ICOA
This was 'alerted' in a few places last week. Thanks for sharing that info for the 'eyeballs' that are still sidelined. The minimal reaction was likely due to the fact that many were still in vacation mode and many others were celebrating religious holidays.
We'll have no excuse for not getting our 100% gain this coming week.
Also, ICOA went to 'non-reporting' status during economic / business downturn. It seems kind of 'shrewd' to return to 'Status current' during a time their business seems to be expanding. The end result should be disclosure of SWEET YOY gains in revs (and hopefully profits). In other words, their financials are only going to be better than where thy are coming from...otherwise, why go to 'current' now.
Go ICOA.
If not this week, then next. If not next week, then the week after. Those 2's aren't going to be there forever.
GM Mango. Can you feel the excitement of a new week beginning??? :) Go ICOA!
Morning Whispering. There's tons of news on ICOA and their successes during the past 7-8 years. As CEO pointed out, the downturn in the economy did have an impact on their business.
This is what I tuned into during their PR last week:
"In November 2009, ICOA filed a Form 15 with the SEC to become a non reporting company; the Company felt this action was necessary to conserve its cash for the ongoing operations." =They decided not to go to dilute to achieve this
and
"Prior to November 2009, ICOA, Inc. had been a Bulletin Board company since 1983 and a fully reporting company since 2000. Management has the required experience and relationships developed over the last decade with auditors and securities attorney's to accomplish its reporting objectives." =They kept their books in order and continue to operate responsibly during thier non-reporting status.
ICOA Critics:
I appreciate a balanced view of things. All 'rah-rah' is not my interest. In fact, all 'rah-rah' in the midst of momo is usually my sell trigger. I and am sure other fellow board members) would appreciate your valid arguments as to why ICOA is not a good buy here in the 2's and 3'?
It will make for good discussion and aid those in trying to make decisions one way or the other.
Go ICOA!
For those just finding ICOA:
Company is expanding. Look at their web-site:
http://www.icoacorp.com/
CEO says company has needed income to meet their needs without turning to shares.
CEO stated news updating shareholders on recent adds to client list with national name recognition/presence.
Recent RS= Low float relative to lots of pennies (600mil)
BM's increasing by double-digits each week.
Volume steadily increasing and accumulation line continues to trend upward.
Last week's news is just the beginning:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ICOA-Inc-Update-to-iw-2035865708.html?x=0&.v=1
Go ICOA!!!
I forgot to add, since last week, we went from 163 board-marks to 180 with no news....It was all organic. Why? We do have traders with solid reputations here on I-Hub saying the same thing...'ICOA is a steal'
Holidays and vacations are over. I look for the accumulation of those 2's to continue and to be done with next week and the accumulation of the 3's will be in full force. In fact, there were some good hits of those 3's this past week.
GLTA. Go ICOA
GM Mango...
The thing that is getting lost on some is that this company has been around for over 20 years. They have a proven track record and have recognized companies as their clients. They reduced float while also restructuring their debt. They are expanding staff, upgrading their web-site to better reflect current operations and will be announcing new deals with nationally recognized brands.
ICOA will be around long after many of these Momo penny plays come and go. We need a couple hands to count the carcasses of plays that went 'pop' over the summer. At .0002, this is a steal!!!

'Nough said! Go ICOA!
Point made. Transparency never hurts....especially down here with these pennies. It would also be a bot more 'reassuring' if there was more details to how this JV is being funded. I want to think dilution is not a worry as how can you possibly fund a new endeavor by diluting at current pps. Also, there has been stability here in the 5-7 zone. Dilution would bring this down further IMHO.
Jamie, I hear ya. Ever heard the saying 'Wash, rense, repeat'? That may be in play here. If you look back to early August, there were a few large buys of the 1's followed by some larger purchases of 2's...al in a handful of transactions, so it was likely one or two or three buyers.
It looks as though as this was gaining some momo, the owner of those 1's and 2's started dumping on the 3's 4's...profit made. Now those 1's, IMHO, are being used in an attempt to take out those 2's. Problem is that they keep getting bought up when placed in the ask. So, for the seller, profit still made...in fact 100% profit. If the seller succeeds in frustrating those who are holding at 2, 3, 4 and 5, he gets to repurchase at the 1's and start this all over again...all the time selling at the bid is still making the seller a profit so nothing loss. Even if 2's are resold at 2, nothing loss....only cost is the commission for the transaction.
Now, why sell 2's at 2? It's always easier to sell that buy. Buying takes $$$...you have to have it. Selling requires a decision, but no money. So, if that bid-whacker can sell enough and frustrate folks here enough, then we get the ask back to the 1's and he gets to start this game all over again. Did you think about my previous question?...why would anyone want to sell 5k shares @ 1? No other reason than to instill panic and worry. Now, who would that benefit? Not those holding at 3 or 4 or 5.
Problem is, we have MasterTrader and likely some 'unidentified' buyers of those 2's when they come onto the ask. The end-result is that the bid-whacker runs out of inventory while the frustrated become sellers have now mostly sold. There is no longer the option of 'wash, rense, repeat. We have defeated him wile accumulating a good portion of the float. Final question...Where do we go once this process has seen itself through?
Thats why I'm buying any of the 2's I can get. Keep in mind, 3's and 4's came up tis week and were hit. Bidwhacker is running out of inventory IMHO. We now just have to get other to hold and accumulate where/ when they can. Are you keeping an eye on the 'accumulation' portion of the charts?
Go ICOA!!!
Really? Thats what you got? AVTI would just 'give funds away' without any DD, without a sense of concept / business plan and viability? I guess I should hit Gelmon up for some funds. I got an app I'd like to hock!
YIKES!!! What happened here? I have this on my 'occasional watch' list and saw some good ask-slappin @ 2 within the last 2 weeks of August. I haven't looked into the recent news yet, but those hits on the 1's look worrysome. What's up? I would have thought that today's 'reassurance' of no RS would have lent some support. Why the opposite effect on pps?
I may be proven wrong if those shoes and/or a substantive PR are not forth-coming, but IMHO, why release important news that is likely to move pps upward when most people are still away??? Lots of money remains at the sidelines as people are celebrating holidays and are settling in now that they are back from summer vacations. To do so (release a PR/ update) would be a waste IMHO. Wait until after next week when eyeballs are back in full force.
With that said, what will annoy me is if those shoes hit the stores 'after' the back-to-school buying season is weeks behind us. That would be an unfortunate delay IMHO.
Are you seriously asking someone else what you should do with your investment / money? As you await a response, though you didn't specifically ask me, I would say 'always buy low and sell high' not the reverse. the reverse is a losing strategy on any given day.
With that said, selling APCX here would be selling low. Why not consider placing an order on the 3's to throw some support on the bottom. How far down will you anticipate this going from there? That would allow you to average down (if the company does appear viable and worth committing to longer-term) and realize a potential gain at least on those 3's if you are able to get them.
JMHO GLTU
Today was a slow trading day. Many are away and many are celebrating holidays. All my plays had relatively lower volume. Next week we should see some buying....at least I am hoping / anticipating!!!
GLTA
Wow...talk about a fall from grace. What happened here? Hopefully most got out with a profit. May nice 'pop' and / or some news await you all!
A small suggestion is that when posting here in the board, consider ensuring you have 'ICOA' in your post to create some added exposure. This small step can help keep us in the Buzz Cloud so others can find us.
Just 'an offering' for those who may need an additional 'booster' while we wait....help market while not 'pumping'. We'll get our move up.
More Morale coming!!!:
You have to keep in mind that this week remains a typically slow week. Lots of folks are celebrating holidays while others are just getting back and getting settles from summer's end. Next week marks the true beginning of the fall trading season. I anticipate some increasing volume, though pps will follow only after the volume.
IMHO, there is an effort by someone to suppress pps. 5k hitting the bid @ 1? ea right...come on. Who's trying to shake shares form who and why?
I'll be continuing to accumulate my shares as I wait. At least it will leave me feeling like something is happening on my end. Eventually, those 2's will give for good and my profits will be made.
GLTA. Go ICOA!!!
Interesting news. I'm surprised there was not more volume and more of a pop. Actual product and sales / shipments?
GLTA
Thanks for the references. Looks promising. This is definitely one to keep an eye on!!!
Ouch...for those who got in at / near the high. Success really is made by one of those golden rules....buy low, sell high. There were several 'fliers' today hat had what I would call 'dramatic pullbacks' as the day progressed. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. SS is favorable here in IFXY. Perhas some good news can help keep the momo flowing.
GLTA
Hey Dee...congrats. Hope all goes well for the 'real newbie'....your son's newbie. HLXW will do well if they keep selling those Helix thing-a-ma-jigs. Sometimes all it takes is that one reputable client in your portfolio to begin ramping up sales.
GLTA
Full Disclosure: I have a very small position here and am hoping for the best. Yu gotta appreciate real companies with real products out here in pinkie-land. After all, that is why HLXW went to 2-cents to begin with isn't it?
Hey Wannabe...I thought that might have been the origins of your name. I love that song...and the video even more. I do have to take issue with I-Hub and with MasterTrader on your behalf.
I hate that I-hub has that generic image by one's profile that doesn't allow the viewer to distinguish male from female, It just confuses me at time...and as I age, it takes a bit longer to process the contradiction....
Now, with MasterTrader...he stated he hopes, like your name, you become a millionaire. Now if ICOA is the route to that, he's short-changing you (and I and other longs) by 3 zeros....your name says 'billionaire' not 'millionaire'....I want ICOA to make me a 'billionaire'!!! LOL
It's all good. I'm glad to see all the new eyeballs. We'll get there. The more our small group can collect at 2, the less volatile this will be and the bigger our profits. Buy and hold, then buy some more. The most I will be losing here is 50%. My potential gains are EXPONENTIAL!!!
Go ICOA
I'm not sure that was the quality of news that would move a stock. There have been other releasing news of efforts to bring their reporting status current with no real reaction post-news. I think the bar for PR's that move these stocks is set rather high. I'm just happy to see that the company is hiring for positions typically reflective of growth. Let our pps rise be organic. I'm fine with that...as long as it happens. LOL.
I was able to take a bite of those 2's as well!!! I'm wondering WTF is still selling those pesky flies. Oh well...they continue to get absorbed nicely. Today on Google Finance, there was a lead identifying ICOA as a stock with high / increasing volume. Bit by bit, 2 by 2, we will clear this level for good. Eyeballs and interest continue to grow. Today was a nice volume day. Soon enough!!
Sorry...forgot to add. Have you ever considered Boardmarks as an indicator of volatility? Ours here is still low= yet undiscovered = yet to achieve top= traders have not gotten their share of the play= momo not yet at an end= less volatility.
Just my own empirical observation of how many of these pennies move.
Go SMOA!
The run only began at around 2PM. Traders did not yet have their day with this one. Also, volume was HUGE leaving me to suspects omeone decided they would be taking a big chunk out of the already low float and force this one higher yet.
Can it close red? Of course it can, but we did not get a full day's run yet, much less a couple days worth these low-float darlings tend to offer.
GLTA. Go MSOA!
Sorry...forgot to say 'Good Morning' Go ICOA!
