Iggy works like a charm. Now if we can just get those that keep responding to him to ignore him as well we can all be happy. I will not listen to a paid basher. It only gets the blood pressure up. Especially since he will not admit to owning the stock or tell what his agenda it. As long as you keep replying he will keep preying on this board.
11am in Abuja and still not JDA PR!
It is best to never expect a pr from the JDA. Everytime they say they are going to put one out it never appears. Don't trust anything until the psc's are signed and it is officially announced. It is a long period of time between now and Feb 28th. anything can and will happen as we so very very very very very well know from experience.
now that is interesting! Think maybe we may see XOM in the future as an additional partner via the backdoor?
Erhe office spacd is 1900 sq ft! @$3600 mo. with only 1 person there (maybe two). That is a huge office! And the contract expires this month. Think they will renew or move?
crazy, my scottrade LV11 weird this am. show bid at .42 and ask at .505.
Heres a question for you drilling experts:
How deep can DeepOcean Exploration drill in a day? We know the water depth is 3,000 meters appx. but we do not know how deep the oil reserve they are shooting for is. The drill ship is contracted for 60 days which puts the end of the contract at March 13. However they could hit oil much sooner than that (very likely as they do not want to run the contract out). They have been drilling now for 14 days. How deep do you think they are? When oil is hit how long does it take to determine the strike, its volume etc and when it could be announced to the world? This timing could be the reason for the shift up in the meeting dates and psc signings. Maybe they realize they could have an answer on the spudding sooner than they think. They want to get them done before the oil strike hits as it could affect the psc signings considerably. Just musing while waiting.

Walldog, yes ERHE has been at a crossover for a long time. It is the crossover from living to the dead! They are teatering on the axis as we speak. LOL
I wonder if he knows Dobie the doberman? I think he is here to give notice to STP he will not be ramrodded into being a timid sheep by STP politicians. He can evaluate immediately any legal issues and put them to rest before they get a headwind. In my opinion this is a good move that makes us stronger by defending our rights and by his success in new acquisitions. I am also wondering if this isn't a prelude to a buyin whereas he will still run the division for the new owner/partner as a separate entity. Maybe now the psc's will get signed straightaway! GET ER Done!
I shutter to think that Joe may have been right when he said the psc's would not be signed until at least April! This is getting far beyond laughable. It is downright disgusting that it is going to be another 3 months at least! This will really help our sp. By that time the block 1 well will have been spudded and shooting oil in the air! Maybe that is what is going on. They want to wait to see if oil is hit first before they have to pay sig bonus. If it is a duster they will just walk away from the block and we start over. I have just about had it with this stock. Time to look elsewhere!
it is interesting that STP is requesting a delay for a week at the same time that Addax is starting its roadshow to promote its IPO! I think the STP is trying to mess up ADDAX so that they cannot legally put out the prospectus noting our deal with ERHE. These guys will stop at nothing to block out ERHE in block 4! They still think they can force ERHE to pay the sig bonus if they bitch loud enough and long enough.
balance, this thing is playing out like a NY Broadway show! Never know which way it is going to end up. I have been holding on so tight fisted my hands are starting to shake and get cramps! LOL Hope this scene finally comes to the end soon and starts the next scene (drilling).
anyone think maybe the companies in blocks 2-6 have been holding out for psc signing when they get a better indication of what is there when chevron finishes drilling? If I was them and I had already won award and have a set sig bonus amount and I could soon find out if my neighbor hits a gusher or duster then I would hold out on signing psc as well. Not a pretty picture from my standpoint but sure does explain the delays. Remember Chevron was originally going to drill in Oct. then Dec. now Jan. Funny that the psc signings have moved right along with that timing! If Chevron did start drilling yesterday or even this week, don't you think they will try to stall the 60 days so they can decide if they want to stay in the block or pass on it if a duster is hit?
It is time for Obi to make a straffing run over STP! He should just send in the troups, take over the islands and make them colonies of Nigeria and take control of both zones. That would resolve the whole mess. As it is they will never be able to get anything agreed upon.
This is not good! Now Menendes is renigging on his statement from Dec. saying the investigation had not bearing on the signing of the psc's! He is also now playing the political game of looking like he wants to cancel the round and start over because to erhe! The problem is that the treaty is set in stone. Or at least we though it was. Now they are questioning who signed the original treaty and are trying to find a way to make it illegal? How did it get through two world courts? Is this another stall tactic by XOM? Is Menendes caving in to XOM? I am now worried they will try to disolve the treaty in order to not lose $58 mil. They obviously think they will not have to give back the block 1 money from the first round. They must think that portion will still go on. How can that happen when the treaty was for the whole zone? This is very distubing to say the least. We could be in for another long agonizing wait.
Will this now stall the drilling on block 1?
It is mind boggling how fifth world STP is. They would rather bicker about who stole what when they are all stealing instead of focusing on the money they could have already had! If they had signed the psc's a year ago the drilling could have already started, they would have mega bucks in the coffers ( I am sure they would also figure out a way to pilfer some of that as well)and they could have a new water treatment system, paved new roads, fixed the airport runway etc. They can only think about bickering and backstabbing. Amazing!
look at the delivery date to the far right. Dec 2000. This is not the rig we are waiting on. In fact they do not show a rig in the JDA at all!
When will these people do their homework and get the story straight. This line gets me:
He said, “We gave block two to EHRC and its principal partner left. We gave block four to Noble-EHRC consortium. Now, Addax is coming in the middle of the game because Noble has left.
Devon was not its prinicipal partner! Pioneer was and still is! What idiots these reporters are. No wonder everyone is so confused over there!
Merry Christmas to all! S2R
homeport it looks like pass the hot potatoe time in STP! The parliment looked at the report, could not find proof but allegations, and now they are handing it off back to govt so they don't have to deal with it. Another stall tactic to push it into next year by Xom and anadarko. They want to stall it as long as it takes to get enough fire started to get the round cancelled.
bb you are right in that many news sources pick up article and rewrite them. But have you noticed reuters has not picked up any of the rebuttals? They do not intend on give equal time per se. Apparently they were paid off to write the poisen pen letter and then run like scared dogs with their tails between their legs.
BB, I believe ERHE did not take another shot. I think the article was picked up and rewritten as so many journalist's seem to do nowadays. JMO
to get mongo to go away just keep baz's post handy and post it whenever mongo posts. That way any newbies will see he is a scammer and scumbag (the list goes on and on and gets much more descriptive)!
my reply back to chip:
Did you read the report personally? Did you check the JDA website to see that the blocks were awarded without prejudice to the rights that ERHE already enjoyed? Did you wonder why they are not wanting for the treaty with XOM getting 40% in block 1 to be revoked? Did you know the originator of the report (Dobie Langancamp) is on the Earth Institute Board that also has numerous lawyers from Xom and Anadarko on it but no ERHE lawyers? Did you know that the Attorney General requested the inquiry be done by Dobie? How did he find Dobie anyway? An obscure lawyer from Tulsa, OK? Think possibly Xom or Anadarko slipped him the name? The report by Zoe was plainly a direct shot at ERHE in order to damage its name and to get the treaty revoked. You don't have to believe me. Just follow the paper trail. Read ERHE's website that tells how the company was started and the treaty was done. Read the JDA's website to see the rights that were awarded to ERHE and Xom. Read the many articles written in the last two years showing the infighting going on between the two political factions in STP. ERHE is not the bad guy here. Big Oil is. Why do you think Nigeria is threatning to withdraw all the rights held by big oil in their country? The news service is being used to damage a company for malicious gain and it is not right. ERHE's rights were given to them by STP. They were reviewed by world court twice. The allegations were not proven but just alleged. Is it responsible journalism to report allegations and not follow up to see if they have merit? If you follow the paper trail you will see that this issue has been reviewed several times this year already and was the reason for the delay of the awards to begin with. At no time was ERHE found to be at fault. All sides of the story needs to be told.

BB great report! Everyone on this board should be writing to chip and Reuters to set the record straight. I provided the email address already.

I have also emailed Barry Morgan and asked him to set the story straight as he has followed this stock for several years and knows everything about it. A journalist can be good and bad. We have seen what a bad journalist can do. Poison pens are lethal. It is good to have golden pens with a highly respected reputation for accurate and non-bias reporting. They are sorely needed in today's world!
procon, it is chip.cummins@wsj.com
Procon, why don't you send this to chip cummins? Send it along with the news report on the JDA awards declaration stating the blocks are awarded without prejudice to the rights that are owned by ERHE. Also mention that Xom was awarded their 40% that was also part of the treaty with STP and they still have 2 25% they failed to execute. Why are they not calling for Xom treaty to be cancelled as well?
my email to chip cummings at WSJ:
I read your article today concerning ERHE Energy and the Reuters article put out by Zoe Eisenstein. Please do some research before you accept and article from Reuters at face value. If you had checked you would have found that she was being used as a tool to discredit ERHE. The political climate in STP is stormy at best. Two factions are fighting for control. The AG is being manipulated by Exxon and Anadarko in order to get control of the highly sought after Block 4. They have tried every tactic they can this year to get it and failed. As far as the payoff accusations they were reviewed numerous times in the past and found to be without merit. The AG is trying to get the treaty (that was signed by their own government years ago and was upheld in World Court twice) canceled. They failed to mention that it was ERHE that actually paid for the seismic survey to see if there was any oil there. Then they recruited Exxon to help in setting up the region for oil exploration. Originally they were given 49% of all oil proceeds for all their work but was later challenged in World Court as too excessive. They then renegotiated the deal to make both sides happy. Erhe did not have to do that. President Menendez signed the treaty as did parliment. It was done as a reward for finding the oil and for all they work they put in to set up the infrastructure. Emeka Offor did not come into the picture until after the treaty was ratified and upheld in world court.
If you look at the report again you will see it is a direct attack against ERHE in order to discredit the treaty that they had signed legally and willingly when there was no known technology for deep water drilling at that time. They were very happy to do it in fact. Now they want to take it away once they found out how much oil is there and how many oil companies want it. Please do more research on this little minnow that has been patient for years and has worked hard to find companies that have the expertise to extract the oil. Their rights are justified and legal. Your story should be about the little minnow that took on big oil and won. That is an even bigger story.

I would like to know if there is a rebutal going to Reutors and a demand for a retraction? This is an outrageous report and is way below Reutors standards. It rates right up there with National Enquirer! The report has no factual basis whatsoever and they should be sued for slander and defamation of character. It has killed the rise in sp today and I fear investors will start running for the door in droves as is evidenced in the 8 cent swing today! What steps are being made to counteract on this report?

I read a report today from Zoe Einstein about ERHE Energy that made me sick to my stomach! That article is totally baseless and without fact or merit! It looks like she cut and pasted some old reports from years ago that were also found to be meritless and added them to a fabricated report from the Sao Tome AG alleging corruption, payoff's etc. If she had bothered to research the story before running to the presses she would have found the awards ERHE are enjoying were validated by two world courts and board that is administering the bid rounds. This smacks of Zoe accepting bribes herself in her zeal to publish unsubstantiated reports that resulted in a major dive in share price. Your company should be sued for allowing such rag reporting! This is the worst example of rush to judgment
journalism I have ever seen. I expect to see a retraction on the article asap.
An opinion is one thing. I do not begrudge him of that. What I do not condon is his ability to state as fact on his blog information that is detrimental to the company and then come over here and backpeddle. If he put the same stuff on his blog as he puts here I would not have a problem. He is no better than the reporter that sent us into a tailspin.
BB, now that is the type of information I would expect Joe Blow to put on his blog. It is amazing how he can grandstand and then come on here and backtrack! He should not be allowed on this board! He only hurts the integrity of the posters here. He has no integrity and should be treated as such. In times such as these we need positive support and reasoned well thoughout reports like many capable posters on this board.
Thanks oilman. At least someone can see Joe is grandstanding at the expense of us longs. He is as bad as Zoe in that he should be reporting for National Enquirer so people can oh and ah over his so called expertise.

Procon, you need to read your own blog! You have taken the report and made the assumption that the second round has collapsed and now the companies are lining up to bail on us and Nigeria is going to take their bit of the pie and go home. That is some huge assumption! Yes, alot of people read your blog and instead of being supportive you start putting nails in coffin. Whose side are you on anyway?
procon is a piece of garbage that had better not come back on this board and start spouting crap! He is over on his safe little blog putting nails in the coffin! Moderators please ban him from this site! He is nothing but a lying, manipulating, grand standing sack of garbage.
procon if you will look at the top of the announcement it clearly states not to be distributed on the wires and in the usa. They do not want any conflict with the SEC. Surprised you missed that!
