birdie, please support this statement, "I'm sure the tech works".
If the NVEI tech turns out to be a "dud" could anybody be liable for past claims?
doughjo, personally I've been very disappointed with my investment in NVEI for the last three years. Can any long-time NVEI investor really disagree? I feel NVEI is "on a short rope" even with some of the "good ole' boys". I feel many are giving NVEI management until the end of August to finally deliver something shareholders can really be proud of.
It was on another board. I'm getting ready to respond to it.
porscha, why is a certain poster so skeptical of your comments on the Mercatus deal? Wow!
zzt you stated, "A movement I would support is one that causes management to divulge info."
I think that is what some of us are trying to get at in an indirect way.
I wish Cooper and Berkowitz would come through and set up the necessary funding with a reputable source. This still bothers me.
Cobra you stated, "Financing is imminent"
When I think something is imminent I think of it being "ready to take place". Not next month but more like next week. Is that what you mean by "Financing is imminent"?
Also, is it your understanding, that the number is still "six million"?
spokeshave, could deferred salaries be used to pay off convertibles leaving more money allocated for tech development?
Has Ketch, himself, ever missed a "deadline"?
Add spokeshave and ElderWolf to that list.
spokeshave, two great points;
"Does it not strike you odd that last quarter, they spent 6 times more on management salaries than they did on R&D?"
How can they expect shareholders to "welcome this with open arms" especially with not much to show for it?
Also;
"It is *very* healthy for those who have unquestioningly followed the company for years to finally start questioning them."
Amen!
WHP03, I having a feeling your expressed angst combined with excel's and porscha's WILL improve the situation shareholders find themselves in.
porscha, that was magnificent. I hope NVEI management is listening.
kenecom, I enjoy life more than than you can imagine. Please ignore me and focus on this "questionable" company.
I wonder what this stock would be trading at right now if it were still just in entertainment (obviously, if it never got involved with tech).
cosmo, the problem is, NVEI needs it now.
Groovy, another board. Whatcha think? If Intel is impressed enough with NVEI's tech to be a customer or even publicly endorse it, OH MY, I'm fantasizing again.
xkeeper, why didn't I think of this many, many months ago?
"IMHO Anyone buying into NVEI now, without positive news that can be substantiated, has rocks in their head." lol
Sidhaman was asked about the "big chip maker" involved in testing NVEI's tech. He responded "I can't tel...HInt..hint..eom"
Could he possibly be inferring that it is InTEL? If it is Intel and the tech has already met expectations by those testing as some have inferred, we just may end up being "happy campers". Sorry, but as a frustrated NVEI shareholder I couldn't resist fantasizing a little.
NorthernTrader, can you tell me if your "personal timeline expections" have a funding deal closed and announced this month? Also, does your "personal timeline expectations" have "signing the first letters of intent with our initial customers and partners" by the fall?
NorthernTrader, I would really appreciate you sharing any timelines that you may have in mind for coming NVEI events. I'm trying to muster up the "A little more patience" that you encourage. And a few specific timelines from you could be helpful to me.
Is there any possible way that a factor in the decision to have this "blackout" is it being a method to keep shareholders "at bay". From being able to analyze and scrutinize what's going on until their "ducks are lined up". Has anybody ever experienced anything like this before in any other investment?
hitimer, wouldn't it be a "major bummer" if all our acclaimed experts fail to deliver for loyal, patient shareholders? Especially the ones who have pulled down some pretty good "coin" in the process.
NorthernTrader, the fact that you and Cobra speak so "glowingly" of Brad Ketch and NVEI's future, after your face-to-face meeting/meetings? with him is encouraging.
However, the "proof is in the pudding", and I'm "starving" for some news to back this up.
EW, I'm looking forward to anybody challenging your remarks.
I'm getting weary of reading about this NVEI tech potential. Come on Ketch, show us why this is a sound (very conservative term) investment.
Cobra, you are "a breath of fresh air" for this board. Many thanks for your unselfish, informative, civil contributions. So prototype testing has been completed SUCCESSFULLY? Can you specify as to the degree of success in regard to how impressed the companies testing were with the tech? Do you feel they are likely future customers? In your opinion, is tech revenue practically "a given" sometime in 2003?
Cobra, if you'd rather reply to a question via PM. Please do so.
Cobra, do you have any idea how active Berkowitz is in NVEI? If he is, how so?
Cobra, you seem to have a pretty good "pulse reading" on the company activities. I'm not trying to be "nosey", but do you communicate with NVEI frequently?
Thanks Cobra, I really appreciate your input. Was the funding dependent on successful testing?
mikerub, I wasn't looking for a thesis. Why the "big stink"? Here's what spokeshave said when I asked him:
"Sorry. I have no real basis to do that. I have spoken to Ketch and Howell. Of course, I have read a great deal about all of them. On paper, Cooper clearly has the most leadership experience. Ketch and Howell both sound intelligent and capable. Ketch seems more amicable and prone to answer direct questions as best he can. Howell would only be evasive and often condescending. I have never spoken to Ray.
I am not sure what you are looking for. Others here have spent more time with Ketch, and to a man, they all seem to have a great deal of confidence in him. He can clearly talk the talk."
Cool, thanks pengy. I do value your opinion.
pengy, where you been? I can't get the website to come up. I'll try later. While I got you, how about "Just A Few Thoughts" on funding and tech testing. Good to hear from you.
mikerub, why not just focus on giving an honest answer and "let the chips fall"? If I tell somebody something and I believe I'm trying to be sincere, I don't worry about the ramifications. If it turns out I'm wrong "I just swallow my pride", admit it and move on. Why worry about a "peon" like me anyway? I just don't get it.
mikerub, please give me some specific evidence to back up your accusations. I'm talking about listing a number of incidences where it could be considered a chronic problem worth "harping on". I feel this is a case a "piling on" someone that don't "march in line". Prove me wrong. I'm sure some of your buddies will try to chime in and try to get some "brownie points"
Also, is there something wrong with be held "accountable" for what you say? Say what you feel, if your wrong just admit it. I have no problem with that. In fact, I admire it.
Most of my problems are with some things that were said a long time ago. Most of the the people that were "spouting off" then are mysteriously pretty quiet now. Wonder why?
I sincerely hope we can put this to rest and focus on making some money in this stock.
OK, I know what's going on here. Recently, "the clique" has spent more time scrutinizing me than NVEI. I'm tired of playing childish games. Please, please ignore me unless I directly "step on your toes".
I only plan to post to those I respect and trust.
I really don't dislike anybody on this board, But I feel I've been treated very unfairly. Adios!
I ask immitt a simple question and porscha and jeff answers in an sarcastic manner, I ask porscha a question and jeff feels the need to answer. Also excel jumps into my inquiry of porscha. Is this a "conspiracy"?
If I were as "smart" as you guys, I wouldn't be afraid to answer questions from a "dummy" like me. As I've said before, just ignore me if I "frustrate" you. You must be reading my posts. Why so?
I can see I need to try to limit my questions to posters I'm pretty sure are not going to be offended by stating their convictions in answering my questions about NVEI.
Please, try to mind your own business if I'm not posting to you.
excel, please supply some recent examples of this,
"My confusion is how can you expect others to answer your questions with the knowledge down the road you'll be right there to tell them how wrong their past thoughts were?"
Also, if they have convictions, what are they afraid of?
