OT: Sorry, but I am a Christian. Voodoo does not even enter my thinking. We can however send up some prayers. I know quite a few have been sent already! LOL
Oilphant has disappeared and AngryAsian predicts fireworks that never happen. What are we to do now! LOL
angryasian, not much fireworks on 162,000 volume. You better start questioning your sources!
Electik I agree 100%. We do tend to forget he only started in Jan. He has worked very hard by himself to get us on the right track. Not his fault for the search by FBI. Just another bump to go over. Looking forward to see what he can come up with. Hiring a well oiled management crew to help him out would go along way. Would leave him to concentrate on moving us forward to greater things. Everyone is totally frustrated right now from the lack of news. But we have weathered these storms for years and the payoff is on the horizon. Everyone just needs to be patient!
ftc, maestro cannot provide proof just as he is demanding proof from oilphant! Guess do as I say and not as I do rings true here.
OT: To all Dads out there have a very happy Fathers Day and don't forget to give the kids a big hug! If you can't hug em call em but do tell them you love them! You never know when this is your last day!
First of all, during the negotiations for the treaty both countries send duly elected officials that were acting on their countries behalf and thus were legally able to sign the treaty as such. This was done three times. STP knew what they were signing and agreed upon it. Secondly, after the AG Report came out it was reviewed and thrown out in its entirety (sp) by both countries. The AG report is the last of several investigations on ERHE by STP in an attempt to get the treaty nullified. They could not find any grounds to do so. Believe me they tried hard and would do anything if they could do so. It ain't happening! The SEC does not have jurisdiction in this matter and they will also not find anything that would threaten the treaty. Offer could also just say enough is enough and move off the OTC and to AIM thus taking the SEC out of the picture. WB is a lawyer and he was hired as CEO to handle the heat that Offer knew was coming. We are in good hands!
I am sure that bit of news will panic some people here. Joe Blow will probably post it either tomorrow or Monday so he can drive the sp down further. If CVX/XOm were able to pull that off and get our rights voided then this indeed is a scary world. Seems also that ERHE would have recourse against them for libel and slander. ERHE has been investigated several times and nothing was ever proven that could void the treaty. Sao Tome would love nothing better. But if they did get the rights voided I would bet that no US Oil Company would be awarded any of the blocks! I would also venture to say that a fair amount of ERHE shareholders would immediately file suit against CVX/XOM in the biggest class action suit of the century!
Also, why would the SEC listen to them anyway when both of them are under investigation for bribery etc in Equitorial Guinea?
And exactly how could they accomplish that? The rights ERHE has are in a treaty with two foreign countries. Not the US of A. The SEC cannot arbitrailly (sp) void the treaty. Then the treaty CVX/XOM would also be voided. They are really pulling out all stops to get those blocks. Proves even more that there is a major field/s there.
yikes! That would be like letting the worlds best thieves have complete access to Ft. Knox!
Check out page 69 note #12.
Interesting that they did find a file about William Jefferson. Wonder what was in it? Also saw file about moving from otc to Amex. Guess that confirms what board they are shooting for!
cancel that last post. The email addy references ERHE on the Move but is not the final address. It still does not show it is coming from ERHE Energy mail address.
this looks like the servers the emails are going through have a final address of ERHE on the Move.( Joes blog). Very interesting. I wonder if he is illegially using wb's name on an email address? Nowhere does the servers mention ERHE Energy as the source.
Spec you are exactly right. I bought it for the same reasons. Have gritted my teeth several times on the down swings but the stock still remains the same. I am holding on as long as I can.
oilman, I agree. I have corresponded with BM in the past and I don't think he even has any of this stock. He said he wouldn't be allowed to own some and report on it as well. But I do find it curious that he is down playing the well. Think maybe the CVX team is feeding him disinformation to down play the hole? Sure looks like it to me. Obviously someone wants our stock to go lower so they can get more. The slide has been averaging 2 cents a day lower for no apparent reason. I wonder what the bottom will be this time. Last time it was .26 before it bounced. Makes me shutter to think we are headed that direction again. Everyone said a month ago we would never see 50's again but here we are. We need something big soon or we will keep sliding to dark depths. Bring on the road show or buyin!
You would think a sane company would drill in the best spot for hitting oil then work the fringes to see how big it is. That way they know for sure they have something and it would not be a waste of money on a dry hole if they missed the edge. Also why would they drill close to block 2 when zone A looks so huge? You would think they would want to check them out first and leave the overlap zones in question for as long as possible. Unless they knew that block 2 was going to be drilled soon anyway so they wanted to get an idea on the straddle first. Very puzzling place to put your first drill bit. Also why put a tight tight tight seizure on the well for only 150 ft of net pay? Doesn't make sense. If it was only 100 million barrels as BM states then CVX would have been happy to announce it as such and move on to the next sweet spot. But no, they immediately put the clamps on any information on the well about 3 weeks into the drilling. Then we started to hear about multiple pay zones before hitting target depth. Very curious indeed. And the real kicker is they put the clamps on all partners! Now why would they do that unless it is a monster. Think maybe they are trying to stonewall the JDA so they can have time to figure out how to spin doctor the results so they pay less royalties and taxes? Sometimes saying nothing actually say's alot! I say hold what you got boys. This ride is just getting started.
what if obo1 edge is just inside the block 1 point? The main body of oil could be in block 2 and they can't get to it. They could if they drilled horizontally and stuck a straw into our oil pot! They are probably planning on how to do that right now. How would anyone know if they did?
walldog, you can if you know you are drilling exactly where you planned. Who is going to check? Do you think someone will fly over with a GPS and check the location vs the boundry lines? HMMM not a bad idea but a little late now as the ship has move (or has it?). Remember a drill ship can locate 2-3 miles from where it is drilling. Kinda like sticking your toe over the line with an out stretched leg :)
Veterans Day is a day that all should set aside just a couple minutes and say a silent prayer for all those that died for our freedom and way of life. As a veteran, I learned first hand the struggles that our forefathers endured and it made me appreciate all their suffering, agony, heartaches and loneliness. I got lucky and got stationed in the mountains of Germany for two years while Vietnam was going on. I could just as easily been one of the 54 people in my squadron that went there. But I was chosen to go to Germany. Beautiful place during the summer but brutal winters. That is where I learned a lesson in humbleness. One particulary extremely cold snowy winter day (-60 degrees) I sat out in a little hut with a heater that barely worked guarding a bomb dump. I was freezing so bad my teeth were chattering. While I was moaning my own woes I happend to look up at the gate and I saw a man standing on the inside of the gate and he was shaking so bad he almost fell over. I ran out to the gate and he said to me "please help me! I have been out here walking the fence for 6 hours and they forgot to replace me!" My heart skipped a beat. This man had stayed at his post walking a fence for 6 hours believing that someone would replace him and he was not going to abandon it. I have never forgotten his blue face and scared look. I took him to the office nearby and called my boss and told him the story. He called the base commander and then the wing commander and they both came and got him together and took him to the hospital. It was then that I thought of the many men that fought in Europe during WW2 under the same conditions with far worse clothing and equiptment. It does not take much imagination to think of what they went through. Freedom and democracy come at a high price. I salute all those before me and after me in the service of our country!
OD, you are right about rex also. 150 feet of net pay seems like an average find. I would think that would caculate to about 200-300 million barrels depending on the length and width of the resevoirs.
I seem to remember Dakarou mentioning in one of his speeches a couple months ago that Chevron has already found at least a billion barrels in block 1. That would refute the 150 ft of net pay that Chevron is trying to make us choke on. Sandbagging at its highest!
traimal, nice piece but falling on deaf ears. I have tried simular letters in the past and they were ignored also. Journalism does not include the truth unless they have no other choice. They want to sensationalize not tell the truth. He admitted he wanted to stir something up in the article. That is all he is looking for. Freedom of speech should be taken away from destructive journalist just like prison inmates.
Happy Birthday Mark!
Art, since when has good news been a benefit to this stock?
Doug, I saw that and almost fell off my chair! Now who is he going to use for his news? I guess he will just have to be more creative in his artistic licenseing.
ida (mongo) please go away! We do not want or need you here. You are stinking up the board!
I wonder if he is related to William Jefferson Clinton former president of these here United States of Oil (I mean America).
oilphant, counting bubbles means what exactly? They have been through 2 pay zones and diag. look great. Before you said they have condition yellow so far. Are you saying they are still showing gas through 2 pay zones? Or are you saying oil through 2 pay zones? If it is gas that does not do us any good at the moment. There is no way to process it yet. Sure hope you mean oil and it is confirming the monter zone.
“See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" is a common phrase, usually used to describe someone who doesn’t want to be involved in a situation. But where did the saying originate?
In Japanese 'see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil' is translated as 'mizaru, kikazaru, iwazaru'. The word for monkey 'saru' sounds the same as the verb-ending 'zaru' so the origin of these famous monkeys may be a Japanese play on words.
see no evil, speak no evil, hear not evil is the translation
Joey is playing the Offer clan argument again on his snob blog. His sources tell him that they control as much as 525 mill shares. Sure wonder where he gets that from. Doc? I am sure Doc knows. What else does Doc know? Only Joey knows! I am sure he will tell us as soon as he can figure out a way to make it his own information!
FTC if you look at the Afren map it shows the center line running through block 2,3,4 etc with branches off of it. The main field (I bet) is in the center line and the off shoots are the twigs that feed it. Just a guess. Oiphant could be alluding to the branches. If I remember right only 1 branch went into block 1. Crying shame for CVX if that is the reality!
If according to the many predictions on sp valuation are correct why would any of the indies and companies like Centurian and EEr want to participate when they have less than 10% in their blocks and we have over 20%? Has anyone done an sp analysis on any of the indies? Centurian president said their 4.5% will be a company changing event. How so if they will be in the red from the get go?
