jdubs, heartfelt congradulations on you baby girl! My little princess is 6yrs old now and is everything I had ever hoped for in a daughter. She is the sweetest and most loving little girl that I have ever seen. You will think the same about yours too. Kids are truly a blessing. ENJOY them forever! S2R and family.
I think this proves that there is major overlap of the fields from block 1 into blocks 2,3 & 4. And if Chevron is willing to let Addax be the leader in the drilling that also shows the overlaps are probabaly more than 50% in those blocks. Why else would Chevron give up control? Just remember that Western Geco estimated 14 bil. barrels in the jdz. They always estimate the very lowest they think is available because they do not want investors disappointed. You can bet there is at least 4 to 5 times that amount there! Now you can happily do the math over the weekend and figure out what we really have!
Three day weekend coming up end of next week. Think we could get some good news over that weekend?
thanks rocky.
Since I don't have a subscription can someone post all of oilphants rants for this year? On RB you can look at all the post of a single poster. Is that possible here? Maybe some of them would start making sense when all put together with what we already know or have heard.
I hadn't seen that try. Good find. Would be great if it turns out to be true!
ERHE could remain a subsidiary of Shell and Offer would still be running the company since he has the connections and clout needed to get them alot further in Nigeria and STP area. In a perfect world this would happen. So far my red colored glasses still need some adjusting! LOL
Buyin is up to 49%. Buyout could be as low as 51%. Could be either one.
How about this scenario: We have heard rumors about Offer turning down $5 share which means the buyout player will have to be significant. Shell is one of the largest in the world. Shell has the drill ship for several possible trips to our blocks. Could they be the buyout partner we are waiting for? Just a thought!
I would be willing to bet that the holdout on blocks 5,6 are due to Offer wanting a full carry just like he got on the other blocks! Things getting interesting indeed!
king the last time the sp dropped below .30 was when the investigation was announced. Also when Pioneer bailed we had a huge drop. But the bounce was great when Sinopec was announced later in the day. There is no telling what could happen to this stock. Someone apparently wants to keep it low somehow. No reason for the freefall unless it is being manipulated to gain shares at a lower price. Someone could flip 100,000 shares a day and possibly move it up and down. But with it staying pretty steady for the last 7 weeks around .40 it shows the manipulation has ceased. Small volume shows lack of interest. If drill dates are announced I think you will see some movemement up but then another drop after about 20% gain due to profit takers. They always manage to stop a runup. Would be nice to see a movement up w/o the profit taking for a change. You would think someone would want the sp to go alot higher so they can take a greater profit. Some put a sell order in when profit hits a certain level. They don't care about 10 baggers etc. That is what is hurting us now.

ot: sounds like this judge was paid off by the insurance companies. The waters did not flood by themselves. They were pushed by the wind therefore the wind as the major factor in that is was the instigator of the event! What a shame that insurance companies will stoop to any means to get out of paying.
ot: from PBLS board:
Gettin' a little heavy here so here's a joke that has nothing at all to do with PBLS. I just thought it was funny and feel like sharing it....
New entrance Rules to Heaven
It was getting a little crowded in Heaven, so God decided to change the admittance policy. The new law was that in order to get into Heaven, you had to have a really bad day on the day that you died. The policy would go into effect at noon the next day. So, the next day at 12:01 the first person came to the gates of Heaven. The Angel at the gate, remembering the new policy, promptly asked the man, "Before I let you in, I need you to tell me how your day was going when you died."
"No problem," the man said. "I came home to my 25th-floor apartment on my lunch hour and caught my wife having an affair. But her lover was nowhere in sight. I immediately began searching for him. My wife was half naked and yelling at me as I searched the entire apartment. Just as I was about to give up, I happened to glance out onto the balcony and noticed that there was a man hanging off the edge by his fingertips! The nerve of that guy! Well, I ran out onto the balcony and stomped on his fingers until he fell to the ground. But wouldn't you know it, he landed in some trees and bushes that broke his fall and he didn't die This ticked me off even more. In a rage, I went back inside to get the first heavy thing I could get my hands on to throw at him. Oddly enough, the first thing I thought of was the refrigerator. I unplugged it, pushed it out onto the balcony, and tipped it over the side. It plummeted 25 stories and crushed him! The excitement of the moment was so great that I had a heart attack and died almost instantly."
The Angel sat back and thought a moment. Technically, the guy did have a bad day. It was a crime of passion. So, the Angel announced, "OK, sir. Welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven," and let him in. A few seconds later the next guy came up. To the Angel's surprise, it was Donald Trump.
"Mr. Trump, before I can let you in, I need to hear about what your day was like when you died." Trump said, "No problem. But you're not going to believe this. I was on the balcony of my 26th floor apartment doing my daily exercises. I had been under a lot of pressure so I was really pushing hard to relieve
my stress. I guess I got a little carried away, slipped, and accidentally fell over the side! Luckily, I was able to catch myself by the fingertips on the balcony below mine. But all of a sudden this crazy man comes running out of his apartment, starts cussing, and stomps on my fingers. Well, of course
I fell. I hit some trees and bushes at the bottom, which broke my fall, so I didn't die right away. As I'm laying there face up on the ground, unable to move and in excruciating pain, I see this guy push his refrigerator of all things off the balcony. It falls the 25 floors and lands on top of me, killing
me instantly." The Angel is quietly laughing to himself as Trump finishes his story. "I could get used to this new policy," he thinks to himself. "Very well," the Angel announces. "Welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven," and he lets Trump enter.
A few seconds later, Bill Clinton comes up to the gate. The Angel is almost too shocked to speak. Thoughts of assassination and war pour through the Angel's head. Finally he says, "Mr. President, please tell me what it was like the day you died."
Clinton says, "OK, picture this. I'm naked, inside a refrigerator......"
I believe you are right. Somewhere in the PSC's I think it states the percent breakdown of each barrel of oil by royalties, taxes, cost oil, profit oil etc. We should be getting profit oil percentage which will increase as cost oil decreases. Why else would offer do a full carry if he would not be getting some kind of proceeds off of oil production? If he had to wait for cost oil to be bled off then they could keep saying their costs have increased yearly and keep them out of money for years! They could still do that and keep our profit oil to a minimum. But even if we only got 4% profit oil that is still big! Remember when Centurion (?) only had 4% and they said it was a company changing event?
Looks like Upstream must be in with the XOM/CVX pockets! They are still trying to put a negative picture on ERHE! Why not focus on the positive cash, debt free part of it instead of leading with a net loss statement when they did not have a net loss. The had a net gain of $45 MILLION! Sure they had some expenses but this article makes it look like they are broke! Idiots!
AA, I hope you got the message of my apology. I, like Try, could not find the ad after searching and assumed it was false. My Bad! Your intel is good and I appreciate your posting. I would like to be a part of your posts if you can forgive me. Email to nonslip@comcast.net. I will understand if you chose not to.
Sorry Doug. I already apologized!
Spec, good post! That is what I am talking about. Great link to back your info up. I do appreciate your posts and 99% of the other posters on this board.
Thanks dadd! Yes, I am leary of posters that state factual type information but cannot verify. Mark has always been a great source that posts what he has been told and he always says to call them yourself. In this case, I tried to look it up on the website but could not find it. I did not know that they do not put all ads on the website. I should have called the office but did not think of it in time. My bad. Since AA was proven correct on the ad I did appologize. I will always admit when I was wrong. I just want the information provided to be truthful and verifiable or use a disclaimer of opinion only. I too watch all posts for information. That is what this board is for. Oilphant makes me nuts. I have stopped reading his/her posts as they are too vague and misleading. If AA is too angry (no pun intended) to stay on this board because of my questioning his Fact statement then that is too bad. I was not the only one questioning it.
With the verification from ERHE office about the ad stating yes they did run one then I hereby formally appologize to AA. Just want to keep the facts straight.
Just for the record, I searched the Houston Business Journal thru last friday and could not find the ad. Since his "ad" did not state the date or the journal I suspect he wrote it himself. I cannot imagine why he could not post the link. Very easy to copy it down and then type it for us to go see. My request is not to be mean just wanted verification of his "FACT". Usually when someone gets caught lying they take their toys and go home. Seems to be the case here. I will be happy to appologize to him if he can produce the ad!
LMAO!!!
I would if I knew the link it was on. Don't get your panties in an uproar!
just remember that Anadarko has been a takeover target for a few years and Xom is cash rich and looking to buy other companies. They could have some real nice reserves if block 3 hits also. Question is how can XOM get ahold of ERHE's blocks and the company? Wait to see who buys in and then buy that company? Think XOM could buy Sinopec or ADDAX?
angry go to the page it is posted on then look up and find the address bar ie www.........
then left click on the address and chose copy. then come to this site and do like you are going to post a message except hit right click again and paste. It will then put the link on the page! Give it a try.
S2R
Angry why are you struggling to find the ad when you emphatically stated you knew for a FACT the ad was place on Friday? Putting the cart before the horse?
I would be willing to bet that the ad was to satisfy some requirements that the lawyers thought prudent given the circumstances. I would also be willing to bet the new CEO will be foreign. Since the company is US based they are probably trying to show that they actually looked domestically as internationally. Just my opinion.
our minnows swimmer is broke.
how exactly would a Chrome buyin/out benefit us as shareholders? Offer is Chrome and Chrome already owns 41% of ERHE stock. I fail to see the logic in this. Would that mean he would offer to buy enough shares to get him over the 50% needed to totally controll the company? That would mean he would want to buy 63.9 million shares. At what price? $3 would cost him $191.7 million dollars or $5 share would be $319.5 million. Can he afford that after losing his bank business? Wonder how many shares are left in the float? Would be interesting to see if his share count has changed on the new 10Q coming up. See if he has been adding at these low prices. I really don't see a benefit with Chrome as our buyin partner.
OT:Great Read!

A man was on holiday in Kenya. While he was walking through the bush, he came across an elephant standing with one leg raised in the air…
The elephant seemed distressed so the man approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot. There was a large thorn deeply embedded in the bottom of the foot. As carefully and as gently as he could he removed the thorn and the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather stern look on its face, stared at him. For a good ten minutes the man stood frozen -- thinking of nothing else but being trampled.
Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned and walked away.
For years after, the man remembered the elephant and the events of that day. One day the man was walking through the zoo with his son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to where they are standing at the rail. It stared at him and the man couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant.
After a while it trumpeted loudly; then it continued to stare at him.
The man summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder.
Suddenly the elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of the man's legs and swung him wildly back and forth along the railing, killing him.
Probably wasn't the same elephant.
Moral of the story is: Elephants may not always be what they seem!
anyone watching cvx for news icons?
If the stock tanks tomorrow it will because someone is wanting to take advantage of the situation and hoping to flip some shares to gain a bigger position. It never fails. If it starts dropping fast w/o any pr in the am then that is what will be happening. I for one will not do any flipping as it would be my luck I would get caught short like some have done on this board. I prefer to keep what I have and add when I can when I have extra money. Flipping is extremely risky and not worth the effort unless you have hundreds of thousands of shares and can afford to gamble.
I cannot find any reference to anything that happened on 1/8/06. Are you infering that the same thing will happen again on 8/1/06? The only other thing I can find is the stock price was about .35 on 1/8/06. Are you refering to that?
If we get a real oil man for a CEO they usually bring along their staff so this could be a good deal all around. Means we could become a real oil company instead of a three person act.
balance are you pumping?
Umbra the only way you offend Crappies senses is if you told him he had to wear socks and stop fishing with a cane pole! LOL
This does not sound good! We may be getting some great news soon as this type of garbage always hits when we get good news! My read is they are still bitching about losing some sig bonus so they passed a new law. Too little too late is right.
Now that is a cool idea! Bet it would go over fantastic here in the USA expecially in Phoenix or Florida. Disney World addition?
