PKG - do you seriously think that is possible? Do you have any calculations on how you derive that value?
this is true. You gotta have limit sell orders when that volume spike comes or you'll never be able to sell... what kind of return are most people targeting with this?
why the sudden drop in volume? December had decent volume - what the heck is up in 2009? 1000 shares traded ALL year!
Volume... I can understand why the sellers are gone - now that tax-loss selling is over. But why the sudden drop in buying interest as well?
thats just a technicality. For all practical purposes this is a open market with buyers and sellers bargaining. When the sale goes through at the bid price - the buyer wins. When the sale goes through at the ask price - the seller wins. Someone is always giving in... I'm sure many times the MM will step up to unload shares or to accumulate shares. But I have tested this with friends - and we have been able to buy shares directly from each other in the method I mentioned. The MM in that case is just a technicality. Fact remains - if I bid $0.136 - that's the bid price - and some other owner of the stock may decide to sell at "market" by putting in a sale at $0.136. This transaction will happen instantly and will not change the ask price.
this is laregly semantics indeed. If a seller places an order to sell at the bid (effectively selling at market which is what I meant earlier), that price rarely gets published as the ask. So was it really the ask? Or was it someone placing a limit order to sell at the bid? Theoretically is it the ask for 1 split second? maybe - but it never gets published. In such case, am I buying at the ask? Maybe technically - but practically speaking a seller decided to sell at the bid which I offered. He placed that order knowing it would get executed instantly. Wasn't really him asking for a price - more like him accepting my bid.
Sorry I'm not getting it. you always CAN buy at the ask but with a thinly traded stock - it seems like not such a smart thing to do because the bid/ask spread is so wide. I've collected most of the shares on the bid - waiting for someone to sell at market.
its funny you mention that. I also notice a ton more of these ads but it could be because I am more aware of them now. This kinda stuff has been around for as long as I can remember so it seems to be a solid business model. Let's just hope they can execute profitably.
"if you buy you always pay the ask" - no not true. This is only true if you buy "at market". Most of my VBDG shares have come through limit orders placed just a tad bit higher than the highest bid but well below the ask. You just have to be patient to wait for an anxious seller to "sell at market" and then I get to buy at the bid - not the ask.
Analysis on todays action? I'm thinking with tax loss selling over - selling pressure died and that's why no one hit my bids today. But at the same time - no buying. Perhaps low volume due to the holiday? But its always disconcerting to see big caps up 5-15% while all my little VMC stocks had almost zero volume today.
Raw - when was UVE 0.04? the lowest I see is $1.75
excellent. Maybe I'll pick up more VBDG tomorrow.
the stock is too cheap. Something must be wrong. work with me here!
haha I dont know. Donald trump?
Nancy makes $335K salary plus unknown perks and bonuses and only has $650K worth of VBDG stock. Which do you think is more important to her?
I'll compare it to my situation - I get a 150K salary for a company I own and I have turned down offers to sell the company which would net me 500-700k cash. The control of the company and consistent cash flow is much more important to me than the shares I own.
Does Nancy really have shareholders in mind first? What's to stop her from declaring bankruptcy and buying the assets for pennies so she can own more than 15%? What's to stop her from doing dilutive deals that would pump enough cash in to pay her a $1 million salary?
I believe this is the crux of the issue why many OTC stocks sell so cheaply. How can we decrease the risk of this unknown when making an investment in VBDG?

** may be useful to put this in the iBox.
I share the same sentiment. I do not however think there is something inherently bad about TV marketing. It's just that most of the players in this space seem to be less than fully ethical. If VBDG can provide good products that LAST without false advertising or deceptive marketing techniques - then marketing on TV is great.
But going back to one of my earlier concerns with this company - all their products are not focused in a particular area or under the umbrella of one brand. Branding is powerful and can enhance asset value tremendously. But you can only go about this branding process if you have a quality product or line of quality products you believe in for the long-term.
I'm hoping VBDG is different in that they sell in retail outlets and that they are developing the MyPlace brand.
As sold on TV - kinda shady...
I like VBDG because myplace is sold in retail outlets... but something has always seen very shady to me about these TV infomercials... if these products are so useful and cheap - why can't you buy them in regular stores? I ordered from TV twice and basically turned out to be cheap crappy products.
gosh who wrote that website? filled with grammar and spelling mistakes.
all sounds very good - I keep prodding because we must answer the ultimate question - why is VBDG so cheap??? I gotta find the damn hole. If I can't find holes - I'll keep buying - but I am suspect.
Competitors - Acquirers?
I notice tons of products sold on TV very similar to what VBDG does. It seems to be a HUGE industry. Who are these other companies? lots of little ones or one large one? I'd like to see proof of the business model on a larger scale. This will give me confidence for longer term growth and for a possible buyout later on.
well thats the obvious. But what about the hidden?
Look at ZYXI - growth is a bad thing for their cash flow because they pay their sales reps quicker than medicaid pays them. I don't know how retail works nor VBDG's relationship with a manufacturer. I have a friend whose business went bust because of fast growth. You gotta have smart deals in place. I don't know the nature of VBDG's deals with the manufacturers or the retailers so we dont know if backlog can cause a cash-flow problem. Anyone know?
Manufacturer Backlog - I hear this alot on the board lately. Who is the manufacturer? VBDG outsources it? If so - do they pay for it upfront? but sales aren't coming in cause of the backlog? That couldn't be great news... anyone care to explain how this works and how it could affect VBDGs bottom line?
Holy shit - its scary that my bids at 0.111 are getting filled. What the hell. 15,000 more to go. Who is selling to me and why??
maybe there is bigdaddy. I'm bidding for 40,000 shares at 0.111. Give it up. Thanks.
Saw steam buddy on CNN. amazing a company with that kinda visibility is only 4.8 mil. Lets hope we make a killing!
okay great. Just desperately looking for holes as I increase my position. I'll throw more crap at you as I think them up.
lets hope the margins are good enough for them that its worth it to do so.
hey Raw - what are you basing this on? Anything other than Level 2?
nice analysis. My concern is retailers won't restock in Q1 this year due to the recession and will instead focus on getting rid of remaining inventory. So I think there is a chance that Q1 could be disappointing and I think our best bet for a jump in the stock is with the Q4 report. As well as MyPlace seems to be selling - we really don't have much visibility on any of their other products so there is considerable risk here. However given the ridiculously low P/S ratio - looks like a risk worth taking.
Over 68,000 shares now and working on more. Guess that's not alot when it translates into dollars but it sure as hell sounds good!
hoping it was tax loss selling
Hi Raw - do you have any corporate links that mention ecoballs?
I dont see anything about this on the corporate website. Is it officially launched? The video pauses halfway through.
why dont they agressively trim costs for a short period of time and use all the savings to pay off principle and then resume growth from cash flow? That is what I did with my own business... seems to me that would be a wise thing to do here as well.
Merry Christmas - here is a christmas gift/question for you all. What's the implications of a high debt to equity ratio for VBDG? Lehman went bankrupt because some of their debt was collateralized with their stock which became worthless so they had to sell assets and bust...
So in any case - 10 million is alot of debt for a 4 million dollar company... any thoughts?
picked up 2. They said it's selling very well. Nice display - at least 50 stacked up in the middle of the aisle.
is this sold at Target? its closer to me
Is something cooking? some volume coming in here.
again?
im actually gonna go to BB&B now to pick one up for myself and my brother. Hopefully they have em.
