Groove, rest assured, I have plenty of shares. Right now, I'm not too proud of it. As you can tell.
WHP says, "it's time to get out from underneath the cover of darkness and build a company." AMEN sir.
Porscha, my thanks as well. Now if Pengy and Trexville would see fit to "turn up the heat", maybe we can get some answers.
rim, I just feel, from the change in attitudes that I've noticed, that shareholders are going into this meeting "with their eyes wide open". Especially with this "questionable" PR shortly before the meeting.
excel, this PR/email fiasco has also caused me to wonder about Ketch. He needs to redeem himself at the Shareholders' Meeting by completely leveling with shareholders. His reputation as CEO of NVEI will be on the line. IMO I am also concerned about "some of the good ole' boys" being on the BOD.
immitt, that email from Alberto "was the last straw". The company will soon find out they are dealing with more cautious and demanding shareholders.
McCloud, why blame shareholders? They're not the ones who "haven't produced" funding and tech revenues. They want evidence that they have a sound investment. That's long overdue. Even you will have admit that. Won't you?
All shareholders attending the meeting should copy zzt's post and not be satisfied until these questions are addressed.
When was NVEI's "Rolling Thunder" supposed to start?
EW, as a Missourian, I feel that "Show Me" should be the "official shareholder theme" at this year's shareholders' meeting.
If the NVEI share price goes down on a day after getting "fairly good news" earlier in the day, what would it do after "fairly bad news"?
famlydog, I feel it is presumtuous to think that common shareholders could "drag" this stock down. If NVEI could prove that are actually doing something productive with the tech, maybe, just maybe, we'd see some share price improvement.
Trex, I guess we should just be happy they finally put out some tech-related news, ANYTHING
EW says, "they make WAAAAY too much money". Isn't it time to demand some salary concessions until there is OBVIOUS tech success that results in a share price appreciation that FINALLY rewards shareholders?
Why has the share price this morning not reflected excitement about this?
"Research Increases the
Speed of Data Transmission Over Copper Telephone Wires"
Should I surmise from the lack of negative comments about John Howell and Ivan Berkowitz being on the BOD that shareholders are content with these two gentlemen as "decision-makers" for us?
excel, great questions for the SH meeting.
I feel there are some who are a tad bit suspicious of how this company operates.
I am trying to decide if Ivan Berkowitz is worthy of my vote for BOD. I would appreciate any insight as to what he has actually done or will do to help me as a shareholder.
It's not "water under the bridge" if he's still on the BOD. IMO
Would you rather have John Howell or spokeshave representing you on the BOD?
iOwn, poor John kind of miscalculated things there, don't you think?
Is there any truth to a report that John Howell had a $178k loan "forgiven"? If so, what's up with that?
I was hoping Cooper or one of NVEI's respected advisors or consultants could convince an established NASDAQ company that they need to merge with NVEI to capitalize on their "disruptive" tech.
Isn't anybody else intriguied by the possibilty of merging with or acquiring a company already on a major stock exchange with some of the proposed authorized shares? It would be a nice pay-pack to shareholders who suffered through the reverse split with the premise of getting listed on NASDAQ.
WHP, wouldn't it be nice if a merger or acquisition would involve a company that is listed on a major stock exchange and NVEI would get listed as the result?
Why would anyone want to sell this week with the movie momentum and the SH meeting coming up next week? I don't get it. Can somebody give me some potential reasons for the selling at this particular time? Are sellers anticipating a let-down next week?
I've been questioning what's been going on with this company a lot longer than most who are questioning it now.
I'm trying to figure out whether no real tech reports in about eight months, being necessitated by the company-proclaimed "blackout", is a good sign or a bad sign for shareholders. If the tech has NOT performed well in testing and this information has been known by the company for quite sometime, wouldn't they be "in hot water" for keeping it a secret from their shareholders?
porscha says, (geez, maybe these guys running this company really DO know what they're doing )
Wouldn't it be nice if they'd actually give shareholders information to support that notion?
If the Mercatus deal falls through and things look bleak for the survival of the company, lets hope 1) the companies evaluating the tech see enough potential to take a flyer to subsidize at least part of the tech development (at least the major company).
2) Somebody buys the tech from NVEI. (Even for a "buck or two" a share) 3) The big NVEI players have enough integrity to do what's best for the shareholders.
I nominate excel and spokeshave as a "double-team". WHP would be excellent, too.
WHP, don't you think this salary issue needs to be "brought to a head" at the shareholders' meeting. Simply put, can NVEI management justify their salaries commensurate of the companiy's actual production and the need for money for the development of the tech? Maybe some reductions now/ incentives for actual production might be in order.
Groovemaster, did Ketch say that the paperwork is done on the deal and the authorized shares as collateral will DEFINITELY "seal the deal" or is the closing of the deal still questionable even with the authorized shares available as collateral?
Did Ketch actually state that the paperwork was basically done and all that is needed for the loan to go through is the authorized shares as collateral?
WHP says, "They're supposed to operate in our best interest, not their own."
Isn't the problem the fact that they basically can do whatever they want (ex. additional share authorization)and the average shareholder has no real choice in whatever they decide? The same would be the case with a VC decision.
Why don't shareholders know the financial arrangements of the movie deal? Unbelievable!
good to hear. Who's Laird Hamilton?
Many investors are very discriminating these days. They tend to avoid companies that don't appear to have the shareholders' best interest in mind.
Trexville, I watched Kelly Slater on the Best Damn Sports Show last night hoping to hear some glowing reports about SIL. Unless I missed it, I didn't hear it even mentioned, much to my chagrin. NVEI missed a great opportunity to get some free publicity. Our PR department and Artisan should have encouraged Mr. Slater to mention SIL and encourage viewers to see it.
