babycakes...HQNT moves around and you can make money on it. Doug C. is a master of the pump. You could write a book about the things he has done to promote his stock. I still can't believe he is not in jail. Give him a call, he'll talk to you. He has major connections somewhere. He has had negative press releases about his company pulled and one time they were on the list to turn pink the next day for not filing with the SEC and he got the stock taken off the list and filed beyond the deadline but never went pink. Check this out so you know what you are getting into.

HEC Bush Connection...
Poster didn't provide link so I don't know where this is from but it sounds interesting...
TOPIC 3: Bush Energy Company to Set to Gain from
Nicaraguan Oil
The Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), which
the Bush administration is pushing hard to have signed by
the end of this year, seems designed in part to ensure
that the Harken oil company, of which George W. Bush is a
major shareholder, will be granted exploitation rights to
oil deposits within Nicaragua. Brenda Rocha, speaking for
Centro Humboldt, Nicaragua's foremost environmental
agency, claimed that there were direct bilateral accords
between her country and the USA being negotiated as part
of CAFTA; under these carefully detailed requirements,
Harken Energy Corporation would be the only company
capable of fulfilling them. Harken Energy is based in
Houston, and Bush holds 345,426 shares in its Colombian
affiliate. Additionally, Harken has close ties with MKJ
International Explorations, an oil prospecting company
that already has been granted concessions to explore
within Nicaragua's territorial limits.
At the beginning of 2003, the governmental Nicaraguan
Energy Institute (INE), ceded exploration concessions to
no less than four US companies. Besides MKJ, these are
Infinity Inc., Oklahoma Nicaragua Industry and Greathouse
Trust 2000. However, MKJ is the only one of the four whose
modus operandi is to prospect for oil deposits, and then,
once discovered and the extraction concession granted, to
pass the actual drilling on to a second actor. Nor is the
link between Harken and MKJ simply conjectural. This
process has already taken place in neighboring Costa Rica.
MKJ originally obtained the concession and Harken was
poised to develop it. However, the Costa Rican government
recently cancelled the concession in response to strongly
negative environmental impact studies which claimed that
even the prospecting would have catastrophic effects on
the local ecological balance. In consequence, it now faces
massive compensation demands in the courts, not from MKJ
but from Harken Energy. "It is clear that this same
pattern is being prepared for Nicaragua," said Rocha.
"It's an open secret that the two areas for exploration
which have been granted to MKJ are those most likely to
produce positive results, according to all preliminary
studies." (According to INE officials, the probability of
success is in excess of 50%, the concession fee is
US$120,000 per year and the investment to carry out the
necessary studies will be in the order of US$120 million.)
The areas in which MKJ has been granted concessions lie
along the Atlantic coast, and the planned extraction would
be in violation of a series of laws: the Law of
Demarcation (of communal lands), the Atlantic Coast
Autonomy Law, and the Law of Municipalities. Another cause
for concern is the lack of clearly articulated
environmental laws in the region. Rocha warned that, "Just
as in Costa Rica, so in Nicaragua. Within the terms and
conditions there is a clause which will permit the
companies to claim compensation from the Nicaraguan
government in the case of concession cancellation, or even
a strike or partial strike which takes place before the
completion of the concession contract." Both the CAFTA and
the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) secret
negotiations are believed to include provisions allowing
companies to sue governments for loss of potential profits
if environmental or labor laws cut into profits or if a
contract is cancelled for any reason.

New Calandra Report...
The word is out now
Tom Calendra has added HEC to his recommended LIST. Wish you all a Merry CHRISTMAS AND A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR 2004. Enjoy the ride and don't sell before $5.
The Alert came out around 9.18 am today. The subject of the matter was "The Calendra Report - Season's Greetings". GoodLuck to all LONGS!!
Harken Energy: I intend to continue to prospect for energy (and other)
companies that are poised to open new production and exploration pacts in
countries once deemed politically volatile or off-limits because of United
Nations sanctions, wars, coups and economic misery. These include Chad,
Libya, China, Mongolia and Nicaragua. As of today, I am moving shares of
Harken Energy (HEC) to the Recommended List, in the wake of passage of the
Central America Free Trade Pact this week. Please see our previous text
alerts on Harken. The shares are trading at 94 cents on the American Stock
Exchange. The U.S. company, after the sale of non-core assets in Texas, is
prepared to develop relationships in Nicaragua that could boost oil and gas
production measurably.
See you one more time this year, next week in The Calandra Report.
Disclosure: Thom Calandra owns shares of natural resources companies
Atlas-Cromwell, Bitterroot Resources, Caledonia Mining, Harken Energy,
Ivanhoe Energy,
Ivanhoe Mines, IMC Ventures, Nevsun Resources and Victoria Resource. Thom
also owns shares of Sunridge Gold, Pacific Minerals, Sparton Resources and
Gold Marca Ltd. He owns shares of diamond exploration company Tahera Corp.
He is an owner of shares of MarketWatch.com, the publisher of this
newsletter. Thom owns shares of Intraware, an electronic software manager,
and he owns shares of Cardima, a medical device developer. He owns
GigaMedia, a Taiwan Internet music and service provider. He owns shares of
Illumina. He owns the Australian dollar in a revolving six-month certificate

HEC Going NUTS!!!eom.
Love that chart! I don't think I ever saw a chart that went from $8000.00 per share to $1.34 Looks worth checking into though. I'll check it out tomorrow. Time for sleep now.
Night All,

Buzz, I'm thinking HEC is another EAG. It has almost the same number of shares outstanding; it ran hard into the close on massive volume just like when EAG broke out. After today I'm sure HEC will come up on alot of radar screens(percentage gainer, new 52 week high, six times average volume, plus some people wait for a stock to break $1 on high volume) I'm hanging on for $1.30 to $1.50 if not higher.
Good Luck,

I'm considering peeing in a cup because I can't stop watching HEC!

HEC...from the Yahoo Board...
Harken Energy:I am repeating part of the Harken Energy text
alert sent earlier this week.I may in the near future elect to include
Harken ’s shares on The Recommended List .And I intend to purchase
shares in the company.I believe the small Texas exploration company ’s
equity is shaping up for improved cash flow and exploration success,
much like when I issued the 95-cent-a-share challenge of owning
shares of Ivanhoe Energy (IVAN on Nasdaq,IE in Toronto)in the spring.
Harken this week confirmed the $7 million sale of the noncore Texas
wells cited in the following alert. What has not been reported yet is
that the company could see another $4 million or more from the
remaining Texas assets, thus putting its balance sheet mostly in the
black. The first sale allows Harken to erase all of its approximately $4
million of bank debt.
I think it likely that risk-in-extremis
candidates --those securities and strategies
that are at the far end of the risk spectrum --
will benefit from a steady stream of
bulletproof investors looking to add to their
year-end profits.Those who subscribe to
The Calandra Report know my risk-in-
extremis list includes biomedical companies,
diamond and uranium miners and energy
and metals exploration companies. At the top of the list for the
remainder of the year could be Harken Energy (HEC on the Amex),the
broken-down oil and gas exploration company that once featured
George W.Bush as a board member.
