Definitely average down as much as you can (I would in your position anyway) If you can average into the .50-.75 range, you'll definitely make your money back and then some in the coming weeks IMO.
Anyone have accurate LII quotes? My numbers are jumping all over the place at the moment.
Nice...I caught the run up at about .075, very pleased
Double thanks to Monk! We're just getting started...Once the hearings occur in the coming weeks, depending on the news, over a dollar isn't out of the question IMO...Especially if an Asset sale or strong Re-organizing plan is announced...Not to mention the good possibility of 2nd quarter profit!

Unbelievable volume! Some profit taking but buying pressure is eating up all the sales, Enjoy the ride! I'm guessing we'll flirt with .50 for sure $$$
WOW This volume is awesome!
Ask just jumped to .281 so far...
A couple weeks of major court hearings ahead...Should get interesting really quickly. Speaking of which, there's one this morning at 930, though doesn't sound like a major event, still nice to see all the hearings and activities going forward rapidly without any complications so far.
Yeah I'm hoping we have another nice day...Charts are beautiful, and if there's some sell off, hopefully we'll still see high volume and it will be only a small pull back...Though the way it closed, a gap up on opening seems likely...Hold your shares, let her run!
WOW! Was away from my computer working today, had to do a double take when I looked at my account!
What a fun day earning $$$ ...I new she could break .15 with the right volume today, hope everyone is still holding on. The chart followed up perfectly above the last run up two weeks ago--higher high, higher low...Tomorrow could be interesting. No idea/prediction what it's going to do for the day. Given it's a Friday, after a nice day's gain I think it can go either way. It may end the week out with another day of gains or profit taking may pull it back a bit; either way, hold your shares (in my opinion/advice) for this is the beginning. When the major news hits, we'll be seeing triple-digit-percentage gains .
Oh money is being made! I have plenty of time to eat, since no one is getting my shares for quite a while ;)
I barely finished breakfast...Us west coast investors watch the EOD on lunch break.
Enjoy the ride...It will be heading north for a while, pulling back here and there on the way.
Oh yeah, with the limited shares available, 20 million shares sent it up 50%+ when it hit .15...Hold your shares, it will be worth it!
Very nice volume...We'll shoot easily past .15 if the buys keep coming!
The asks crack me up... .1215...I think a hundredth of a penny can be rounded haha.
Ha, good luck reaching hitting that...Only reason anyone would be buying at all today is because it's "cheap"...well you get what you pay for, I'm glad my opening sale cleared at .0074, decent profit. If it hits .005 I'll grab some more just for the flip, they're O/S have doubled, 500k, though no sight bothers to keep accurate info and most people don't bother reading financial statements, which is why many people lose money.
Based on the movements of the past weeks, a 50% gain today would be on target if the volume stays high...Low OS, doesn't take much to drive this stock
Welcome back VOLUME!!!
Yeah I think a .13-.15 close is very possible.
I agree! They've sure tightened up the bid/ask spread...a tenth of a penny? Some volume will change that, should be more like half a penny increase buying on the asks, but hey a tenth of a penny going up works for me
To: Arnold25764...Sorry I'm not subscribed so I can't send private replies, but to answer your question about charts, I use ETRADE for investing and they--as I'm sure most trading sites have--chart's for analyzing whatever technical aspect of the stock that you want to know. Momentum, Moving Averages, RSI, Volume, etc etc. I'm sure you can find many of these on general market websites as well.
You forgot a zero: .002-.003 .
Yes I read thoroughly through the report as well as all the statements and outlooks in it. I'm roughly 80% ahead on this one so I'm going to take my gains unless there's incredible buying pre-market. Yes all the news has been great, possibilities etc etc...All of it is meaningless without the adequate funds, and with operations currently idle, and shares outstanding now at 500k, GERS is going to need one hell of an outside investment to move forward in the long run. couple important things you may have missed:
"Revenues in 2009 decreased due to the fact that the Company's bio diesel refinery, oilseed crush facility and equipment manufacturing operations were shut down due to the unavailability of the working capital resources these operations require."
"The Company's net loss during the three months ended March 31, 2009 was $16,892,829"
"The Company had a working capital deficit of $83,678,726 at March 31, 2009"
"The Company has no committed source of capital that is sufficient to meet all of its operational and other regular cash needs during 2009 and beyond. Obtaining this capital is currently Management's top priority."
And the icing on the cake for ya:
"Total revenues for the three months ended March 31, 2009 were $855,658"
"As of March 31, 2009, we had a cash balance of $8,281"
I'm not bashing or hailing this stock, I own shares so calm your critique...I know how to analyze a financial statement, however, and that's all I'm doing. All the potential, the patents, the backlog, etc, are a lot of what if's. 83+ million operating deficit in the 1Q, a net loss of 16+ million with gross revenue of only 855,000, with 8,281 cash on hand...Argue with me all you want, these numbers speak for themselves. Unless major investors jump on board, there's no way they can stay afloat for long at this point.
They may benefit from some new government funding, but GERS is not the only "green" company out there trying to get a piece of that pie. At the current PPS it's been nothing more than a gamble, this report just killed momentum IMO. Watch tomorrow's reaction you will see. (And by the way, I made a quick buck day trading TNRI years ago)
Stock followed the chart trend as hoped! Very nice...If things go as I'm hoping they will, .15 will be tested tomorrow, the chart looks awesome! Patience is key! GLTA.
Wow, that was one of the worst 1Q reports I've read so far this year. It's always great to see quarter revenue decrease significantly over previous year, yet the cost of such revenue go through the roof? 2008 numbers weren't a surprise, but I'm not sure why they've been boasting all this news recently about possible expansions, extracts etc, when their facilities have been idle all quarter due to an inability to fund operations...Wasn't expecting great results by any means, but I have to say this was a shock...Good luck to all holders, I'm selling at open.
Sorry, I accidentally posted my last comment on the wrong board.
Very nice day! -to respond to a post-> We went over a penny, I hope you're still holding .
Yup it will bounce back, and in recent weeks it's usually a considerable rebound...I'm holding all my shares and following other trades until the activity and upcoming news hits when this stock should really fly!
Well I've received 3 email alerts from penny stock tip sites (not that they're much to go by) but I would expect to see very high volume tomorrow and another jump in price...30% was an awesome day trade...Don't care about the CEO or all the people who lost money blah blah blah...I run up on the pumps then cash out before a sell off. That's how people play stocks like this in my experience. The whiners and bashers are the ones who went long and lost big. Apparently the concept of stop loss wasn't there. All indicators point to a second day jump in price, it will open high, then well see where it goes from there...Good luck.
Well Based on the chart pattern, after the last run, 50-60% the Friday before last, we are still above that level...I great time this week for another similar run, breaking recent highs into the mid .15-.18 range. then a pull back for a couple days, then another run...That's how it has been looking, so let's hope it keeps on that pattern. Of course News would be huge--for better or worse--but over the last few weeks the stock has been doing well IMO, though the last few days have sucked. When it Ran from .04 it pulled back quite a bit, then it slowly rose a bit till it ran 50-60% above the previous high, now it's been pulling back, and it's right at that point where another spike in price is due...The volume is here, and as we saw today, how much this stock moves on low volume (for a penny stock today), so if it follows the basic pattern, a nice rebound in the short term I think will happen...Major gains will be riding on news, which unfortunately courtroom PR isn't speedy LOL.
The entire Stock market is on fire today! And so are we, in a more literal sense . Chart still looks beautiful, volume is here-albeit in selling pressure-we need a PR update IMO to bring the attention back.
Where did all the longer holders go? I only recognize a few names on the board...There's been a lot of court activity today, but nothing extremely significant that I can decipher. Are the long plays still around...MONK? WALKER? others? or did you guys jump out? I'm definitely in, though not liking the slow trickle down of volume and share price. Let's stay in the teens at least! No pull back to 4cents before good news comes out to double us back at a dime again...There's a lot more available shares out there compared to a few weeks ago. Lets buy up that float, Or jump boat?? :P
Yeah, stocks done nothing but drop since the news of the patents. Seems like it's sinking fast.
I think I'm a day or two behind the news or updates..Any rhyme or reason behind the high volume and sell-offs?
Probably mentioned in posts I'm catching up on from the last half hour, but as far as making buddies with the judge of a BK company and getting privaliged information, well, not saying it never happens, but it's a huge white collar felony...That would be insider information at it's best. So yeah, I wouldn't chase down the judge asking for stock opinions
Has anyone called or tried calling the investors number from their website? I've been meaning to but haven't gotten around to it, I'm wondering what kind of things they are saying or if they're keeping everything hush hush until after court sessions?
A bit of a late response, but to answer your question there are a number of possibilities. I don't think it will happen, but the option is out there to split up the company (wiping the shares away that are in bankruptcy and focusing on the elements of the company that are not included. I can't do more than really speculate, but I don't believe it works that way--50% of the company is good so 50% of the "bad" shares will be converted...Hopefully this won't happen, but if it did, it wouldn't be as simple as fifty fifty...Creditors get paid first, then bondholders (usually a small percentage, perhaps pennies on the dollar for their shares) then whatever is left, if anything is divided amongst us, the common holders. This would a worst case scenario...Upon successful restructuring and exiting chapter-11, the stock would go back to trading as usual, though we'd drop the Q, get picked up by the stock exchange again, and be very happy investors. That's pretty much the far end of the spectrum on each side. There are many other possibilities that fall somewhere in between and I'm not personally familiar with corporate bankruptcies so I don't know all the different outcomes. The restructure plan will probably cover all of this and I'm sure it will be a lengthy read, meanwhile I haven't checked the markets at all until now...We seem to be lagging a bit again today...Hopefully we see an end of day volume/price pickup. Don't really want to see a Wednesday dip, followed by a Thursday dip and then a Friday sell-off...Though last Friday was a great run so let's see this baby close up for the week!
