I'm curious if he said the FLOAT was 8-9 million, because that's about right. The total outstanding shares should be around 18 million, with around 10 million restricted. I just want to make sure my information is correct, because the information I have is different than yours.
There's a simple reason why they always take it down...because it's guaranteed that they can (in most cases). It's much easier to get people to panic and sell than it is to convince them they should put more money into something. That's why runs upward are relatively few and far between, but busts happen all the time. Just my two cents (worth 1.6 cents after this week's trading).
I don't believe they've been able to cover to any large degree over the past week. They shake it down every morning, but they don't get a lot of shares for their effort (as compared to the several million at least that will need to be covered). And hopefully Clayton is scooping some of these shares up. All IMO, of course.
Look at the nature of the volume today...The biggest trade of the day has been 20,000. And there's only one of those. Most are 5000 and 10000 trades. Going down on such low volume is not a big deal. Actually at this rate only a handfull of buyers will take this back. These are all MM games.
I don't really care who knows...You can put me down for 130,000.
Let's call the matchbook thingy an RFID eartag for sex offenders. Yep, tag 'em just like cattle!! That would be awesome, someone walking around in public with a HISU ear tag...bright orange or yellow or something. People could download an eartag number list and know exactly who they are. Ok, I know. But I can dream, can't I??
That's just me...had chili for lunch (just kidding). I think it's telling that no news has come from the company in a while. Clayton knows how these trade, and I think we'll hear from the company at the same time the CUSIP change occurs. But in the meantime, this is really trying our patience!!!
I've bought as many as I plan to...No more funds available now. This waiting game is tough!!
I guess if someone is buying the cheapies (that's NOT me LOL), the company is next best. And please keep in mind, there's a lot of reasons why T trades exist. The company buying shares is just one of the reasons. I may be entirely wrong on the T trade theory...Just wanted to make sure everyone knows this!!
I only remember seeing one other T trade since they announced the buyback, and that was about 225K if I remember right. Add that to today's and it makes it a little over 400K. I figured when they announced the buyback that it would take a full 20 trading days if they bought the maximum 25% each day. But that was based on the average 10 day volume at that time. I think the avg volume has gone down some since then...
So that's my WAG for the time being...and really nothing more than that.
T trades on pink stocks are almost always the company dumping stock. I have seen them during buybacks as well, although they can be just the MM's settling their trades. The two T trades I've seen lately on this stock have been in the neighborhood of 25% of the 10 day average, which is what buybacks are limited to. So I'm going with the T trades as being buyback shares.
Edit: And the T shares today were near the low of the day...If I were Clayton, I would buy them back as low as possible...All IMO, of course.
I wonder if an after-hours PR would work once the CUSIP number changes? That would get everyone revved up for opening the next day. Just a thought.
Assuming this thing does run, the hard part will be deciding when to sell, and just where the top is likely to be. I would recommend watching the MACD on the chart and when it starts to drop that is likely the top. But I'm not a chart expert so there may be a better way to do it. Any other ideas??
Timing is crucial to get the most bang out of the squeeze. The key will be when the CUSIP change takes effect. Some well-orchestrated PR's, timed with the broker snafu taking shares off the market, should cause the maximum squeeze. We'll see!!
Yep. Easy to stay at the ask when you print your own shares!!
Edit: But the more they do this now, the more hosed they are when the CUSIP changes....
We seem to have hit a stalemate here at .06...
Thanks...I've never noticed a discrepancy like that before, so it kind of threw me!! Maybe I am paranoid for no good reason....
Ok here's something weird. I had a bunch of partial fills on a 20K order, and the last 4085 shares didn't fill. I bumped up the limit to .076 and it filled at .075 (below). If you go to freerealtime.com, list the time and sales, this sale doesn't even show up. What's going on here!! It's on the OTCBB site, but not free real time. Interesting.

True..I didn't think of that...there probably would be a margin call along the way. I guess someone could get through it if they had a very small portion of their portfolio short UHCR, but otherwise, they'd have to cover.
Weatherdude - I agree with you. There's so many things going on right now, it may be difficult to figure out what part of this is happening at any given time:
The cusip number change will cause a pop to the extent of how many FTD shares there are (naked shorts).
The brokers and/or individuals will have to buy up all the dividend shares that were not properly issued.
The actual short sellers will have to cover at some time (although some may just hold through the storm..hard to tell).
And then there's the 4 million share buyback going on during all of this.
I don't say this often, but this could be the perfect storm!!
By the way, I don't think much of the above has even started yet. IMO of course.
Does Scottrade still have their restrictions in place? I don't use them, I'm just curious.
I've got a buy order in at .076 that isn't filling...they are seriously out of shares now.
Excellent...Thanks.
Any idea how long it takes to change a CUSIP? This should really hose anyone making FTD shares!!
Now THAT'S FUNNY!!!
Thanks Clay...I always find your video blogs informative. Let's blow the doors off this thing tomorrow!!
I can't get the link to work, but I'm assuming this is the interview that was done last November or December?? If so, he does mention that they are planning an uplist to another exchange, I believe he mentioned the AMEX. That would explain all the recent SEC filings, amending and re-amending the 2006 financials, and the filings (and amended filings) regarding the acquisition of the coal company. If you read these amendments, they are putting things in order to meet the SEC's standards.
I've been holding this stock waiting for the 2007 financials. I believe we'll get a bump when they come out. In the meantime, we wait here at the bottom!! All in IMO, of course..
Why do they call it, "The PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour?" No. Seriously. It looks like they sponsor it. Unless this is a different LAPT...
Now the MM's are just messing with it...750 share trade @.03. Lousy 22 bucks.
Edit: Twitchey, here's your chance. Do it quick!!
I didn't realize that PokerStars.net was involved in the LAPT. That's kind of nice to see. Gives the tour some good visibility.
I think that once things start rolling and the DVR patents are either upheld or there's a settlement, we'll see a whole lot of activity with these 14 (or more) companies.
OT: In the meantime, I'm working some of your wallstreet companies...lots of great DD over there. And thanks for the PM last week. I'm on a free account so I couldn't respond.
Buzzzzzzz SMACK....zzp.....zzp....zzp...
Yep..some news, an update, smoke signals, ANYTHING would be appreciated at this point. We're more than due...
Welcome aboard. Not to be negative, but most meaningful posters have been run off this board!! But I can tell you that I'm happy to see almost anyone new...GOOD LUCK!!
Good point, I'm not sure why I even bothered....
That's why I said I'm not saying that!!! There are no short shares. My point is that what you showed as far as short interest had no bearing on whether there were naked shorts. Entirely different deal. But for the record, I don't think this is being naked shorted either. There. Geez.
Hey dog...I'm not saying there's naked shorting, but looking at the real short shares doesn't do any good. By definition, naked shorts are never delivered and as such, never reported. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
Should be a good call...revenues and earnings set a quarterly record. Should be a lot of green tomorrow!!
You know what I love about this board...you can tune in day or night and find some sort of fight going on...kind of entertaining actually.
Dude.........
