When the main draw to this is Tom for many, like yourself I think the investors are in for a huge surprise, but not a nice one. JMHO

This is a public company--why is it private?
I was drawn to the company by Tom and his sister's background and reputation. I was impressed by the run-ups. I have since come to believe the entire company was reverse engineered. They didn't have a business they took public, they acquired the businesses to fill a shell and become a public company. Nothing wrong with that--more than one way to skin a cat--it's just like Frankenstein, when you build it fingers first and add life to it later it is going to stumble around for awhile. I am just looking for something that will convince me he has the investors interests on a fair level with his. So far I haven't seen that.
I would like to see Tom tell us what securities are in the portfolio he said made the money last two years. I'd like to hear what % of conversion is complete. Those would be the constructive questions I would pose. Wouldn't you?
Then by your rationale SLJB must be a great company. Just look at how much time it has spent on the most active board. It is REALLY popular and has been since people found out they were getting screwed. (P.S. I am not saying people here are getting screwed. Maybe we can avoid those posts)

There are lots of great areas in NY--Saratoga is my favorite track in the country, but you gotta admit the majority of the areas the sores are in haven't seen any or little growth for years. I don't wish to offend anyone from there as I have many friends there, but the economy ain't too perky in lots of upstate. Sorry if I offended you.

I'm sure YOU couldn't but that doesn't make it so. Retailspace goes for over $30 a foot in my area--- how much rent do you think they are paying at H or WB ? I'm guessing $10 a foot maybe.
