SGLB can produce a digital fingerprint of the part. They did with Honeywell. https://aerospace.honeywell.com/en/blogs/2015/october/how-a-3d-printer-can-identify-its-own-mistakes
I certainly agree. That SGLB should be valued way more than 40 million and I believe that SGLB is positioned perfectly to capture a large percentage of their market space. I just would like to see management place a higher minimum valuation to sell out than that 8 bucks from the 8K.
I agree that AM industry in finally getting around to really thinking about certification of AM parts. There is article after article about it. SGLB should be able to capture that business. I hope that management holds out to allow this to happen.
Thanks for keeping us abreast of the patent status. I appreciate it.
Agreed. It would be a serious disappointment if Rice and company sold out for 40 million. A lot of us Longs have waited and accumulated for too long. It's been Five years for me. I have been a huge advocate of SGLB and truly believe they are on track to breakout when AM industry is finally ready.
I'm concerned that management is worried about keeping the lights on due to lack of sales and plan to sell out. I did not approve of all the dilution and reverse splits for a 40 mil valuation. I'd rather suffer more financing rounds to hold out until AM industry is ready. I'd hate to give our tech to one of the Big Boys and have them profit off our LONG backs. I gotta make sure to dial into the next con call and voice my concern.
I still a Long but disappointed that management is actually thinking about a buyout at 40 million. WEll.. That's my rant for today.
Interesting 8K today, It seems like something is anticipated to happen this summer with the recent exercising of options by the executives. 8 bucks a share would get a good portion of my investment back. It's not the 100 bucks a share that I'd want but Hmmmmmm!
Thanks much for posting your DD and providing insight from the show!
Great find Jackle! SGLB continues to be in a great place and the DD continues to confirm the issues toward getting AM rapid production of critical parts going. It's been socialized for a while by us Longs. I continue to believe that PrintRite3D will play an important part with major AM players. The stage is being set.
Agreed that SGLB is needed. It's wonderful that they are working with NIST.
I'm very hopeful that we'll see some sales by EOY with an investment toward customer support for production implementations as Capt Smith quoted. I'd think those type of personnel are only brought in when it's time to support production installs of PrintRite3D. All we need is that first multi-unit sale and I believe that SGLB will start the steady move up.
Another buying opportunity for those with dry powder left. SGLB is ramping up. It's happening. Check out Siemens
I certainly do agree and great post! Standards are definitely keeping many companies out there from taking the leap who don't want to take the risk and spend the funds for development. Like Additive Industries said" Why reinvent the wheel?" SGLB will have it's day. I certainly hope that tomorrow's call will offer more focus and clear direction. Let's see if CEO Rice can explain "Game On! with definitive reasoning for declaring it.
Jackle. I agree. Something is brewing and I'm excited to see what it is.
I'm hoping the delayed filing is SGLB waiting to deliver additional good news along with the NIST announcement. I'm assuming that the fourth quarter and the first quarter did not generate much in the way of revenue. Guess we'll know soon enough.
It's very exciting what's going on with Aequs!
Excellent News today! IT's all about the standards and SGLB continues to be situated to be built right into the Standards. I see SGLB having a big influence on standard's bodies. Excellent!
Thanks much. This is a nice find!
Hoping to hear some news soon. We'll see. Just a feeling SGLB is working on something to announce before next cc.
Thanks for this post. It's excellent to see
You asked about my wishful thinking.
Here it is now show me what evidence gives you reason to justify calling my reasoning of multi unit sales/install to Morf3D wishful and not reasonable.
Morf3D, our commercial alliance partner for 3D printing, as well as Honeywell Aerospace, will receive the first installations of the new PrintRite3D® INSPECT™ V2.0. As a result of such installation, we believe that Morf3D will be able to provide a means for customers to increase AM production rates while ensuring consistent part quality. Honeywell Aerospace will use the Company's PrintRite3D® INSPECT™ V2.0 during Phase 3 of its rapid qualification for additive manufacturing program sponsored by DARPA.

The EOS M 400-4 machines are expected to be used, in part, to fulfil Morf3D’s recent engagement by Boeing and Honeywell to supply metal AM production flight hardware.
Ivan Madera, Morf3D’s CEO, stated, “The AM market is maturing and with that comes increased production demands with very stringent requirements. Not all organisations are prepared. We are, and will continue to add systems and processes to leverage the most reliable Direct Metal Laser Sintering technology in the world.”
“Our strong customer relationships, coupled with our AM lifecycle strategy, have quickly evolved from material qualification to production at-scale,” he continued. “We have been working diligently to put in place a very robust supply-chain with industry partners to exponentially increase our metal AM capacity and services.”

NTU is partnering with companies that utilize advanced manufacturing technology and software. NTU collaborates with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Kansas City Nuclear Security Complex, Morf 3, Boeing, and NASA to name a few. The Navajo Nation is working with Morf3D and Boeing to create a 3D additive manufacturing factory on the Navajo Nation that will provide over 500 high tech high wage jobs in the next 2 years that will focus on technical work of mass producing or manufacturing metal 3D printed parts for clients such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell and a host of others.

The Company also formed strategic alliances with Morf3D and Jaguar Precision Machine (“Jaguar”) to serve the additive manufacturing (“AM”) needs of the aerospace and defense (“A&D”) sector. As part of these agreements, the Company’s PrintRite3D® software will be licensed to Morf3D and Jaguar

The Navajo Nation is currently in discussion with Morf3D to create a 3D additive manufacturing factory on the Navajo Nation. The factory foresees over 500 high tech high wage jobs in the next few years that will focus on technical work of mass producing or manufacturing metal 3D printed parts for clients such as Lockheed Martin and Honeywell.
“The additive manufacturing facilities that will be going up will be the first of their kind in the world, and Navajo Technical University is at the forefront of the industry,” explained Dr. Agbaraji.

Earlier this year, Sigma announced agreements with Pratt & Whitney and Morf3D, who will both embed the company’s quality assurance software into their respective hardware, due for release in early 2018.

You got it man!! We've been in this thing forever! I'll buy you dinner and drinks as we toast our good fortune and great vision.
Bet we'll be seeing a multi-unit sale with this when you consider the partnership SGLB has with Morf3d and close association with Honeywell and approval to use IPQA with Boeing.
Airbus Faces Revolt From Second Enginemaker on A320 Output Hike
I would think that PrintRite3D would still be considered a third party even with Morf3D merger. They would jointly sell a service. Morf3d is not making AM machines; thus, I would not see a conflict.
Hmmmm.. Looks like Safran and GE could use some assistance in the quality department.
Thanks for this post T&L. It will be interesting to see if SGLB is planning a merger with Morf3d. Maybe, we'll get a multi-unit sale sooner than later with that news.
Thanks T&L. It is a very nice presentation. Funny how more and more folks are finally having this conversation about test and validation and certification. MArk and Co. have been thinking and building this IPQA for years now. I really like where SGLB is in the maturation of this technology. We are well ahead of the competition and poised to capture a lot of the market. More standards are coming this year and SGLB will be a great fit! The years of testing and validation with all these major AM players will result in revenue. Patiently waiting here.
Absolutely! I agree. The standards are just starting to come out and the many companies need the standards as a guideline. SGLB continues to work with the biggest names in AM. Yes, the sales are taking longer than anticipated when I first invested in 2013 but I continue to do the DD. SGLB's progress continues to be better than ever. SGLB is perfectly positioned to capture business while AM companies get their supply chains in gear and AM standards are defined. I shall continue to wait for the sales and continue to believe the SGLB will be very successful.
Another thing as you noted we have institutional investors onboard now; thus, many investing professionals believe in the DD like us LONGS. I see these institutional investors' interest in SGLB as confirmation that us LONGS DD and investment decisions are on track.
I agree. This is very interesting! It bodes well for SGLB. I see Doug Wells. I recognize his name. It reminds me of an oldie but goodie from NASA.

Thanks. Just found the post. I appreciate it!
I agree SGLB is "clearly ahead of the game" and that it is a matter of time before sales start to roll in. It'll be such game changer for the pps. I'm still patiently waiting and believing all the DD will payoff here.
I missed that paper from NASA. May you refer me to that post? I appreciate perusing through any DD that you and others have posted.
Thanks for bringing that up. I just read the 8K. I'm surprised by another extension. It does seem like carrot dangling but hoping it's a reflection of the AM industry as you mentioned. It's definitely moving slower than expected. I figured SGLB company could predict sales a little better; so, let's hope they got it right this time. Guess It gives me the opportunity to buy more shares this year.
Thanks T&L for the reminder. Gotta love all these close associations and how they are working out. Nice to see SGLB inside of MetalFab1. Would be even better with Siemens!
Siemens continued collaboration in AM space. Might we see a future announcement with SGLB?
It's nice to see more standards being developed; as, I believe that SGLB will meet the requirements being developed by Boeing, Oerlikon, FAA and DOD. Collaboration between industry and government and SGLB is well known by both. I'm betting SGLB will met the in-process control standards perfectly.
I agree with Silversmith.. Nice work Capt_Smith.
Great Find Jackle. Thanks for posting! Sigma Labs is leading the way. Real Facts and recognized by an International Journal. Not bad for a company of 15 folks!
