Fordgt, go guy, shame on me!
Blindinvestoor, let's hope that is the case here. To leave backers of start-up companies to be victims of unfulfilled expectations for too long can be the road of no return, even if you have the goods. I have done that myself with a company I started way back. If I had communicated well in earlier stages, things would have been much, much better. When I had to go back to the well to expand the company, I had problems. I ended up selling a great idea to another group because my gang lost confidence in me. Take care.
Smartinvestor, who cares about financials, unless the company has to go back to the well to keep things going and the SP is dirt. I love the tech, I love the timing, I loved the company PRs in NOv. '05 when they sounded ready to erupt with good news. Now the silence. The next few years, what are you talking about? The company led investors to believe that their science was ready to be "ordered" last year at a public presentation. It appears that the stockholders are expected to wait patiently for the company to spend prudently the last $450,000 in the checking account to take us to hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. At this stage for me, I would like a PR from the company that the science works, and that they are moving ahead in any positive fashion. It is nice that have been invited to the round table at USC, but what is next?
Calgary lady, it wasn't JPGetty who posted that it was me. My broker can't find the company, the company phone won't answer, no faxes are returned, the company office address can't be confirmed, the name of the company president can't be confirmed, trading was suspended. His best guess was as I posted, no proof, just opinion. I probably should have posted that, sorry. I gave you a scenario that is common to scams on the otc, period. I posted my opinion and my brokers advice to be helpful, not hurt. I lose here too. If you can show me to be wrong I will be thrilled for all of us. Disclaimers by a web site are always done if the site is not owned by the company (yet another signal). Disclaimers by pumpers are not usually available. Take care, wish you the best!
Hi folks, my broker tells me that you can buy and sell shares of a company that has no value as long as company trading has not been delisted. He said to beware of the pumpers of the scam who were paid in stock and may try to create a false trading environment to get what they can. Ge, do you think you can pick them out of the posters here? Hello? I would love to be wrong on this. Take care.
Hetty, thanks for the post. Do you have any idea when news might be coming from the company concerning UL and FCC approvals? Lowman indicated it might be quite soon. I got some guys into this stock but they are dumping due to the lack of material PRs. It also appears the company may have to do some some more PPOs to get through the summer. Any thoughts? TIA
Risktaker, Duh? read my earlier reply. WE got diddled here dude! I knew that months ago but was fascinated by the seemingly intelligent posters on this board. It turned out that they were just rubberneckers driving by the accident, Shell, Bishop, et al. Didn't lose a lot here and had some fun. You can't make this crap up on your own. Take care!
Amj23, You know that you post a little like the RB posters, a little insulting, unhelpful, no new info. This board is usually pretty civilized, which I think most posters appreciate. Even the bashers here tend to be the best and actually somewhat gentile. Relax, deal with the different opinions and efforts of other posters, accept apologies, post helpful ideas. This board has been very dificult to understand for many. The communications from the company are nil. The potential is huge. I want it to work. GLTY
Xtreme81, I think that the pumpers of this scam were paid in shares so they would like us all to think that there is a market because the company tanked and they didn't get anything, unless you buy their shares. A web site operator doesn't care what is posted on the site because there is a disclaimer that is signed. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the company can't be contacted in any way and no one knows where the office is and the SEC says it is dust, could it be out of business. I visit this board because I left it on my favorites and am amazed that people post here, including myself! LOL
Niko heil, wow! Good post, I hope everyone reads it. I've sent it to all my investing buds. I have been posting and reading message boards for only a year or two and am learning that I am more of a novice than I suspected (not in business but in this "arena"). I don't think I have ever seen a board as assaulted by bashers like ERHE. They are very good and appear to work in concert, and unfortunately, seem to have succeeded here recently with the aid of the duped ones, like myself from time to time.
Interamerica, Mrogop, Rocky 822, I have searched til I'm dizzy trying to find a post of the warrant and I can't. Maybe I read the 8-K and got confused with all the reading and posting on the 4th and 5th. No intent to misinform here I assure you, but sorry to post inaccuratey. What's gonna kill me is to apologize to those insulting toads on RB. Oh well take care.
Mrogop, I could have sworn I saw a copy of a request for the warrant on this board right after it happened. I'll go back and try to find it. Sorry if I misspoke.
interamerica, there are a couple of bashers on the RB board who are stating that the FBI raided the corporate offices and removed files. I posted there that it wasn't true and got insulted for my efforts. These bashers are the lowest form of life that I have seen on boards to date (which means the bottom of the food chain)LOL. I post over there as Jtownguy590 (which I'll explain if you've got the tome). Take care.
Walldog, I'm with you. This company has no operations to speak of and few employees. How complicated can it be to meet minimum requirements? I figure the CFO probably works about an hour a week! LOL Let's hope that the company understands that the sagging SP is not a positive thing for management or the shareholders (unless you're a flipper). I don't know what worries me more; having a Nigerian warlord as the biggest investor or having a Texas oilman running the home office! LOL
Take care. I'm in long in spite of this post by the way and hope the above mentioned guys "git 'er done".
Houndish, stockholders have every right to expect management to be good stewards of their investment. Good corporate communications benefits management as well as helping to create a stable investment environment for raising capital for the future. You are right that the onus is on stockholders to do their own DD and have only themselves to blame if they do it poorly. However, it is a foolish stockholder who doesn't watch over their investment and demand honesty and effort from management. The former chairman of TYCO is going to jail for misinforming the stockholders, as well he should. What's more, any stockholder who invests without carefully considering their expectations and risk tolerance is being foolish and definitely gambling with their money. Take care and good luck.
Kobiashi, if the company's business plan was so clearly stated, why is it that nobody on this board can agree on what that plan is? Please tell me what you think the plan is and what the timeline will be for this to be a good investment. TIA
Rocket, Bigworld, thank you for your thoughts. As for others who post such helpful advice as "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen", stick it. I thought that watching this stock lose 30% if iots value in an hour deserved a good whine. LOL
Gdepc, you could be right but I thought that throwing exactly 300,000 shares out at market was suggestive. I do not have the trading tools on my computer to know this but have friends who do. I am not a weak hand, a little stupid sometimes maybe. Take care.
Bigworld, you have always been the steady and civilized poster that has reassured the more excitable warriors like myself about patience when dealing with biotech science and the process of getting to market in this arena. I thank you for your advice and considerate postings. The poor company communications from CYGX has even you complaining. For a few thousand dollars a month of PR advice this company could have maintained their share price IMHO! If the deal is real, the share price should be up. If the product doesn't work, we lose, too bad, we move on. I am jealous of the restricted shareholders here, they may be the winners. I am long because I want this to work! (and I have had a couple of popos and I'm mad).
Paulness, thank you for your kind response to my little rant. It remains my view, however, that people who truly care about something will be the ones who offer constructive criticism and pay close attention to current affairs. I want the company to be as professional in a business sense as they are in a scientific way. I have some friends who got into this through my recommendation, two of them successful doctors, and their only gripe is about the company communications, not the science. Take care.
Paulness, what is a real long? Huh? And nobody wants "fluff" PRs. What interested and discerning stockholders want is to be kept in the loop as to the progress of the company they put their money into. It doesn't make a person a basher to say they expect good and honest communications from the company in which they invested. Not knowing the science? Not even the best doctors posting here agree on all the issues. Get real pal. We all hope this works and I am in long. I criticize the company from time to time because I care. Your last post was very arrogant; otherwise I have enjoyed many of your posts.
Dr Medicine, a fine and decent post considering the mud that got slung at you after your announced sale. It seemed that you were gloating at the rest of us bagholders, but I see that is not the case. I personally am jealous of the price where you got out. This company may be great or it may be snake oil, I don't know. There are smarter people than me on this board and I listen and hope for good stuff. There is one thing that I am convinced of, however, even if they have found the cure for everything, this group of doctor/scientists will NEVER be able to take us to the level of achievement to make us money on this stock. If the snake oil works, let's sell to big pharma, or hope it goes back to a buck and a quarter so I can move on. Take care!
Rookie, this is a goner. The scam originated on other boards that were involved with successful stocks dealing with the oils sands projects in Canada, i.e. CWPC. I would see posts of good, knowledgable and oil patch savvy people actually responding to the scammers pumping this deal. It created some credability in my mind about KSWJ. The science proposed here would be a huge boon to the oil sands area, if true, so I wanted to belive it. I jumped in with no real DD and lost all the money. The SEC has shut this down. No one can find the President, whatever his name might be. No one can contact the company in any way. All we can hope for is that the phony pumpers were paid in stock, which they usually are, and wasted their time. I'll bet that is all the trading you saw until the Feds shut this con down. GLTY
Fordgt, we're in because we don't know how to get the hell out! LOL Hope you're right !
Hey troops, this deal is toast. No phone, no fax, no company address, no name for the "boss", no patent apps., Hello? I did not do my proper DD and got f*cked, so did you. I deserved it, maybe you didn't. The pumping posters here are full of "dog dirty". I read this post because hope springs eternal and "superior" posters like Janice Shell still pay attention to this piece of crud, she won't say why other than that she is intrigued. She's probably doing a study on idiot children like me who invest in scams like this. Take care!
Manti, I agree with our inherent rights as you state them, however, it would seem to be in the best interests of management to see that the company create a stable and honest investment environment. The company even stated in a previous PR that they want to increase share value, and I assume they own some shares themselves. I think a lot of the negativity on the boards would disappear with better company communications, that's all. No need for chill pills then. Take care.
TFA, right on! Highly speculative stocks like this should be watched carefully because small events can cause large movements in SP. Good and honest corporate communications are reassuring to stockholders and encouraging to new investors. No need to drop big money on PR, they should just keep us up to speed if they want us to hang around. Look at the nervousness over a stupid search warrant. Geez!
Tibbcat, even if revenues are not expected in the short term, a PR about the market they hope to target and the future revenues that would ensue when they reach that market(s) would be very reassuring to investors. A statement about the progress with the Aldevron order would also be helpful. They need advice on corporate communications desperately. Even the most loyal fans here are starting to fray around the edges. let's keep our fingers crossed.
Fishdog and Mrogop, thanks for you rsponses and explanations. I don't post a lot here but have been following for a year. There are some bright people posting here and when they can't agree on the the meaning of Oilphants' posts, it diminishes the messages. The codes and riddles may be amusing but I don't see where they have been helpful. JMHO
Lowman, thanks for your sincere response. I want this to work. I was about to buy a bunch more but worry a little. They are in the right arena at the right time. I don't want them to worry about the SP as much as the science, but if they have to go back to the "well" to keep things going, they will be very sorry they didn't pay attention to details!
Lowman, good communications are an important part of the business plan for any company but especially for start-ups. I do not mean fluffy pump and dump BS, I mean intelligent and regular and honest updates for both potential customers and stockholders. This company is remiss in this area, period! I like the science but I hate the silence. It does not blow the budget to have updates written by a PR pro to keep us in the loop! With all the HYPE last Nov. it is impossible not to be very disappointed here. If you are close to the company, by the way, is the former Intel guy there by choice or did he wash out at INTC? Just curious.
Mrogop, Asking fishdog why he is thanking "oily" for a post that is unhelpful in my opinion. I was thinking that maybe fishdog could clue me in here. Maybe you could help? Not looking for trouble here, but I consider 90% of what is posted here and on RB is crap. My point is to try and sift through the crap to better understand my investment. Any help here would be appreciated. TIA
Fishdog, why thank Oilphant for anything? I have considered his posts an amusing divergence on a posting board that is starved for info from the company, which may or may not come for months (years). You seem sharp and knowledgable so I ask this respectfully, why do you thank a poster like "oily" for anything considering that he/she has never made a correct prediction or helpful statement IMHO? WE have to wade through so much garbage and traffic on thse boards it has become difficult to find good and honest advice. Please correct me if I'm wrong but "oily" is no help at all and almost always incorrect. TIA
Kancamangus, good and thoughtful post. My view was that someone dumped a wad of stock at the market all at once and the MMs were the only buyers at the time. Not suggesting a scheme here, just the fact that they are more than happy to pay less when compelled to fill orders. Your refined and noble response was appreciated. Take care.
Paulness, thank you for your thoughts. As I am sure that you have read on my previous posts (knowing about your caring of postings from all of us) I want this company to succeed on two fronts; a way to save lives and suffering and to be a good investment. I hope that the patterns that you see are different from the ones that I see here. GLTY
Paulness, what is a "newbie"? I have been either reading or posting on this board for a year or more. I have done lots of DD and consulting with doctors and investing pros. I have stayed in this deal in spite of their advice, probably because I want the science to be real. Are you inferring that being on this board longer makes your posts smarter? More Helpful? Maybe more jaded? There are some smart posters here and you are one of them. But today's action and your "newbie" reference is crap. Nobody invests here with money they can't afford to lose, DUH! Guts? Give us a break! Some people care.
Woodnstream, thank you for your thoughtful post. I am new to the pennies but am learning rapidly. Today was a body blow for those of us who thought that there may be enough of a base of support to stop a bail-out. Guess not.
Holycow, this was not a positive play today. No shorter could have seen this plunge. Somebody or some group bolted. I do not have the TA knowledge to give an opinion on the charts. Somebody just said "see ya". Some insider dumping formerly restricted stock could cause a dump at market like this. Where is Tibbcat on this?
Paulness, I was teasing/mocking the poster. Interesting that he was here, no? I want this to happen, hanging in there!
Sauce, we haven't had any quick-quick type hype on this board for awhile. Give us the truth dude. Are we gonna be rich or what? Come on good buddy, 10-4!
