frustrated...
cldx was one of AF's asco winners, and they're down, too.
hedge funds are a hell of a lot stronger than science.
3.5 million shares took us up, 80,000 take us down.
a little surprising that volume and movement is this low, so far, with that PR follow-up to MSK collaboration....
1st look-in is NOT mainly for safety, as had been widely assumed. that's interesting, since if it isn't stopped for futility, it can almost be safely assumed that it's showing efficacy.
they sound more confident than ever.
not too worried about the atm here. if they're right, it won't matter pretty soon.
no action on Frankfurt :/
Vin...
looks like sloan kettering agrees that bavituximab is worthwile after all, even though you said it's useless by itself.

Vin..
thanks for a reasonable response without attitude an the subject of pphm...a rarity!
I will never attempt to get in to a detailed scientific discussion with you. it would be humiliating for me.
I can handle abstract, logical arguments, however.
I would not be too quick to rule out an agent which is not overly 'effective' on its own being 'effective' in a cocktail.
we should all be hopeful that such outside-the-box approaches will continue, as they have numerous times in the past, to lead to better outcomes in the future, since nobody has been able to make C a manageable, chronic condition yet in most cases.
absolutely, totally understood. at the same time, research doctors with reputations on the line are, hopefully, intelligent enough to pick their spots wisely. Agreed, or not?
vin...
the pphm roundtable includes a pro-bavi doctor who a poster here essentially said is a dope (Antonia), while he was playing the popular sport of delegitimizing anything pphm does or claims, and the roundtable also includes 3 sloan kettering folks, who don't tend to get trashed.
i posted the release because it does represent an effort by pphm to have them included in the checkpoint discussion, something several people here have found to be laughable till now. we'll see.
can't remember which cocky poster here was trashing scott antonia, repeatedly, btw, but brekken and a few sloan kettering folks might not agree. funny how some experts here would have insisted that the world was flat back in the day.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/peregrine-pharmaceuticals-announces-webcast-immunotherapy-200000831.html
i like the webcast and roundtable, too. i think it's a terrific move, and i hope it's well received enough to get bavi on the dance floor with more investors than just us!
north....
not fair.
you know i'm not referring to nickels and dimes.
everybody here has been waiting for 10-20-30 baggers, not doubles.
and very few have a double...
i'd settle for a silver or bronze goose right about now.
Mazel...
don't worry. it's only Sierra's followers selling.
krak...
the professional investment community remains skeptical. the proof is in the current pps. prior PRs have not brought revenue or partnerships to pay for continued research worth a damn, and that is simply not arguable as far as anybody here knows.
i am not saying PPHM will not be successful with bavi.
what i am saying is that the folks who can make the share price fly will believe it when they see it, and only then, since PPHM has NOT yet delivered on anything in 20 years that has benefited an investor's account.
That, btw, is pretty much what Dew and AF have been saying all along.
Wouldn't it be nice if they finally have to say "ok, they finally did it...now we can pay attention to what they say"?
Yeah, Wook.,..they have Kool-Aid for everybody!
long...
no, we DON'T know things are moving along at Peregrine, because they tell us nothing.
Dew has every right to be skeptical in the absence of enrollment information. What if he's correct and the plan assumes a lot of enrolling very late?
PPHM is, fairly or unfairly, guilty till proven innocent.
NOW the chart is broken.
so would 1.45
did clay trader say the chart was fine as long as we didn't go back to 1.33-1.34?
it would be an interesting diversion if you'd jump in. nothing more.
CP
we're all aware that you don't claim to ever be concerned with the share price relative to a timeline.
that being said, I think it might be poor etiquette on your part if you don't make a prognostication in Loof's exercise.
I do understand that if you say "$2.98" on 12/31/15 and it winds up being $1.38, you lose credibility, but so what? EVERYone who has predicted prior moves has joined that club a long time ago. Why should you be any different?
so much for friday having been the beginning of a huge runup.
CP
i don't really want out. i want share price appreciation.
want to be my broker and handle the options for me as you described?
i remain invested here at a level that pisses me off. i now have little optimism that the investment will ever pay off. or break even at 1.52...
tick, tick, tick.
so, yeah, we have Sunrise. we've had the vascular stuff, we've had cotara, betabodies, imaging, ISTs, hep, pancreatic, we've got yervoy+, etc., (and lots of stock options, i might add). BUT.. we have no support on wall street worth a crap.
i will be very surprised if tustin ever pulls the rabbit out of the hat.
time to fish or cut bait. they have removed partnerships/collaborations from the pps-moving catalysts by the utter absence of any great data on anything that stands stronger than competitors at similar stages. it's Sunrise or NOTHING.
not what i envisioned when i got into this circus.
who will give me 1.53 for 35000 shares now?
the spring is not necessarily being wound tighter. PPHM might not be going anywhere. ever.
maybe it will. that will make me very, very happy. at the same time, i have learned that i may just be out 50 grand when it's all said and done.
why did they take 25% cuts??? BECAUSE THEY MISSED THEIR OBJECTIVES AGAIN.
the whisper is that they're going to have 2 posters at asco 16
meg tirrel is obviously part of the team holding pphm down...must be taking her orders from AF and Roy! otherwise, how/why could she have left us out of today's article?
http://www.cnbc.com/id/102673087
could be, or daytraders closing out in the absence of news they're constantly being told is coming 'soon'...... i kinda doubt it's shorters since i think you'd have to be crazy to bother shorting at this level right now.
can't imagine it would be pros, since they have inside info.
why has there been 100,000+ volume into the close so often lately on +/- 500,000 for the day?
they must not have any class action suits going on, or they wouldn't be letting anybody know about them...
Hey....
I thought PPHM was supposed to have the holy grail....
http://www.cnbc.com/id/102667339
it's been a bear raid for years already.
in other words, there's no indication of a criminal investigation.
what a surprise.
mind boggling how a bunch here can't wait till it goes lower so they can pick up another 500-200 shares.
now it only needs to spike up to 1.31 or 1.32 for you to make a profit!
it's not the last day of the month anymore. what's the excuse today?
lytle, king, and fussey were overheard whispering "I'm loadin' up when it gets to 1.30...Mazelman, jim, and couch might be right.. what if this stuff does work?!"
yeah, like a few critics here would ever be able hold the price down... be serious.
i was just reminiscing... remember the day we finished green?
most who bought at 40 and 80 cents likely also own shares at 2.50. not good to leave that little fact out.
TekNuLoof
time for another predict-the-price contest?
i'll pay for the corn licker
how about 11/1? that gives time for 1st look and BTD :)
i'll say $1.41
