it will be halted all day
and the beat goes on...
not a holder in HDY but fyi... they have market cap 6 times that of ERHC...
ERHC apparently believes so if you read the Q&A on the website or speak to DK and PN. It's sad.
exactly - they still seem to think message board posters are impacting the price.
Both our PR guy (Dan Keeney) and our CEO (Peter Ntephe) said there was never an updated NSAI report. Are you calling them liars?
PN confirmed that there was no updated NSAI report. Are you calling PN a liar too?
you have not demostrated anything. In fact, I would say you are probably wrong. ERHC presented at R&R on 9/15/10. On 9/13, ERHC had closed at a medium-term high of .375. Is it a coincidence that ERHC has never seen that price again and lost 20% on 9/15??? the same day they most likely found a buyer for the PP? ever since R&R on 9/15, the SP has been in a massive downtrend. Sorry, but i dont buy your "conclusive demonstration".
amen! you're one of the few posters here who I have tagged as having any semblance of credibility. thanks
Tam - not defending MTO since his rants are excessive and overboard... but when have you and any of the other pie in the sky pumpers been right? The market seems to agree with MTO.
pretty sure you are wrong about people from the company not caring. Have you noticed what is in the FAQ's and recent conference call? They clearly are affected by it even though it has zero impact and I think they are naive for even calling attention to it in the first place (makes them look like amateurs). The SP isn't where it is because of a message board and people complaining. It's where it is because of poor execution and poor results.
Wasn't Denver supposed to bear us news?
One day people on this board will realize that these conferences do not produce any news. But I am sure once this one passes, the next one will DEFINITELY and SURELY yield news
On the subject discussed yesterday on this board of when the last private placement was agreed to, if i recall correctly, the agreement between R and R and the company [ and the buyer was already known, imo ] was in fact signed a day or so before ERHC's presentation at the 2010 conference. It was NOT days or weeks after that presentation.
if that was the case then ERHC was in violation of reg FD since they announced the PP a month later. I said that the buyer was most likely found at the conference and then the details were hammered out until everything was signed off a month later which is when ERHC appropriately reported it.
TOB is probably the best guy to ask as I believe he may have been involved in it :)
I disagree - I think they found an interested party at the conference and it took them that time to hammer out the details. Of course speculation on my part... but based on the SP falling after the conference, I would say someone caught wind of it.
Krom - no idea if they did or did not but just an FYI...Last year, we presented at R&R on 9/10. The Shelf was then announced on 10/7.
you're whole argument is based on hindsight and holds no water. really? you are telling me that a stock has a low and a high and trades in that range and if I had just timed everything perfectly that I could have bought at the bottom and sold at the low? And those who didn't have no right to complain? that's some ingenious stuff, man!
ps. glad to see some more insider buying. would love to see them spend more though to show even more faith.
well said - couldn't agree more with this.
looking forward to Total drilling so there will be some interest again in this stock. Let's hope they hit it big so hopefully this "fun" ride can end! There is just 0 interest in this thing right now.
or you could just go to IV. No mods there. This is the only stock I follow on IH. the rest I go to IV.
wow - shocking! Let's hope this continues. "Put your money where your mouth is"
new york was back on it's feet yesterday so that's a bogus argument. There's simply no interest right now in this stock...positive or negative.
agreed he has some valid points but the repetition is nauseating and serves no purpose. Maybe he is just baiting ERHC to respond? He has managed to get a rise out of them... they were naive enough to talk about message boards on their conference calls and FAQ's.
dollar volume in the 10 thousand's is not exactly improvement. This board has no major effect on the SP. Right now there is no conviction to buy or sell, no matter what is posted here. I've seen the stock go up when this board was incredibly negative and I have seen it go down (way too many times) when everyone was bullish as can be.
I am not sure who flip flops more...krom, troy or John Kerry?! just kidding. Anyway, Krom... I admire your ability to admit when you think you were wrong but you do have one thing wrong. The company started talking about a growth plan long before anyone on this board started complaining. All of us here at the time they started discussing it bought this stock simply for the JDZ and maybe EEZ and were happy to wait for that. There are PR's dating back to 2007 or 2008 that talk about growth. Maybe the complaining has motivated them but these new acquisitions weren't something spawned by people on this board.
Also, my biggest issue has been with communication from these guys. I have seen some changes and hope it continues. I'm not ready to flip flop like you guys, but I do see a glimmer of hope.
There was never a response from dk that was that clear and succinct up until now. I commend krom and DK ( and by extension management) for finally providing some excellent communication from management.
Funny but it seems some of the complaints just may be getting through. But surely it's just another coincidence!
sounds like the PR or a rehash of it from 8/18.
exactly - the psychology of the market is fascinating... most of these guys are underwater big time yet don't seem to care and get excited when the SP goes to 17 cents.
I do think there are some upcoming catalysts that could help and I will be the first to applaud and commend management if good things happen. I think total in block 1 could be big and I actually think (hope) the Chad stuff will happen sooner than later.
"I've been of the opinion that some of the companies actions are to hold the price down, I have many theories as to why and no proof for any of them. The only thing I know for sure is somebody is buying all the stock that comes up for sale"
if that was the case, we wouldn't be 11 cents. Supply and demand. When there is more supply, the price drops. There are definitely not buyers scooping up the stock...otherwise we wouldnt be this low. I think it's very far-fetched to say the company is purposely holding the SP down.
good post - I worry about an exile type screw job as well. I do think Total drilling in block one this year could change things for the better for all of us. A big find will boost the price a ton.
you do realize these guys have a fiduciary duty and it's not solely to please SEO? They better be paying attention to others besides him. I personally think they are aware of this as the company has attempted to step up communication (though it still does leave more questions and answers but I at least give them credit for listening) And SEO may not read IHUB but it appears some others do based on trying to blame IHUB for the shareprice.
I disagree. I am not talking about voting people out with my shares. I am talking about effecting some change as to how things are run. You may not like Midtier and he can be very abrasive and take things too far but I don't think it's a coincidence that his earlier letters to the board etc caused them to increase the way they communicate.
I will support and commend these guys when I think they are doing a good job. I used to support them and defend them if you care to view my posting history. But I will not sit back and get..... The fact is that everyday on every message board, people complain about management of companies they own stock in. It's the nature of running a public company and constantly getting upset about it and complaining about those that complain will not change a thing. Execution and clear communication will.
Just as you believe your one measly vote makes a difference in an election of potentially hundreds of millions of votes, I believe that voicing unhappiness to management with my measly share count can make a difference.
Have you ever complained about a politician in your city, county, state or country?
Read Krom's email to DK yesterday. It's a good summary as to how many of us feel. And it has nothing to do with ulterior or nefarious motives. That is the most ridiculous accusation I have ever heard.
Also, there isn't a stock I am invested in where people don't complain about management on the message boards. No one will ever be happy. I own one stock where most of the board crushes management everyday. Even though there are so called "bashers" the stock price has gone up because the company is executing. It's the nature of the game and you need to have thick skin to be in management. Letting a message board get to you is absurd.
EXECUTION AND CLEAR COMMUNICATION.
excellent post - I hope they read this. Please post a response if you get one.
seek the light - when will we get our mid-august news?
comments on this:
1) the fact that they think it is ihub posters who are making the SP go down is disgusting. It is such an amateur management stance to take - the ultimate passing of the buck. I can't tell you how bad that probably looks to an institution doing DD.
2) He questions you as a shareholder... He has your name from the email. He could easily look at the stockholder record to determine this. The rhetoric is pathetic
3) Why do we spend time complaining about our investment? Probably because most of us are fed up with sitting around for years and constantly losing money. If they had followed this board a few years back, they would see that 95% of this board once supported ERHC/management (i remember specifically defending PN at one point!). Most people aren't willing to be jerked around for long periods of time regardless of what they have at stake if they don't think management is executing as they should.
4) People like Carl Icahn take huge positions in companies and then speak negatively about management when they think they aren't doing their jobs properly. Complaining and calling management out is a way to affect change. No one on this board can be a big enough shareholder to hold a proxy battle so this is our outlet. I would imagine 99% of the people who are unhappy are not trying to make the SP go down or have nefarious intentions as DK pathetically claims. I and my family and friends who I got into this stock have lost a ton of money here. I have no interest in watching this thing keep falling. But I am also not going to just sit back...
5) Interesting that he is now including a disclaimer on his emails.
6) Execution and clear communication and not hope and forward-looking statements will make the SP go up and probably shut us all up!
it would make sense - Total has no reason to talk to ERHC about anything right now. That could all change after block 1 drilling...
I think that's Krom's point... the current management team had nothing to do with obtaining the JDZ rights so it's a bit strange for them to say that they can repeat it.
where is our mid-august news?
2] Peter leaving Denver to meet with another company about ERHC.
Read the whole post - it was a company expected to present at the conference so that means it was most likely another minnow and not the double secret probation man behind the curtain suitor.
I don't see anything that was different in this PR from what was said on the CC. At least we got clarity from Krom on the NSAI issue.
