BLUE HORSESHOE might like ANY......but will lose money regardless
27 cents........... :)
27 CENTS A SHARE. That is what Sphere 3D is worth today.
Think about that for a moment. 27 CENTS! That is what a share in the "most disruptive", "paradigm shifting", "Citrix killing", "makes VMware redundant" company is worth today. The company that offered the "only way to end 'end of life' of Microsoft legacy apps", and the only way to "tear down the Apple paywall" and the "only way to run Windows XP based ATM software in the cloud", and the only way to run "any app, on any device, anywhere" with "full native capabilities" and it was "so simple you did not need IT staff to deploy and support it", and could "virtualize any app in six clicks or less", and could "run Windows, Apple, IBM AIX and mainframe, Fortran, Linux and Android apps on any device without change".
27 CENTS. That's a long way from the price target of $600 that was floated on this board during 2014.
Any ideas why a company offering such incredible technology is worth 27 CENTS?
That chart is interesting. It shows Peter Tassiopoulos as owning 100,000 shares, yet he recently filed that he never owned any shares whatsoever.
And it would seem that Promotion Depot, Mario Biasini and John Morelli have complete divested themselves. And what about Shelly and Pine Tree?
German? Sorry, but Global HQ is in Seattle with development center in Russia.
Some followers of Sphere just aren't that well equipped to invest in Sphere. Parallels and the VMware equivalent Fusion are OLD news.
And unlike Glassware, actually work.
PS You can run Windows on a Mac natively or using a virtualization tool like Fusion or Parallels. Its an x86 box after all.
Just watched a documentary about the design, construction and sinking of the Titanic. Amazing parallels to Sphere....just not enough lifeboats for everyone.
Please understand the difference between author and assignee. Bookman and Morelli work for Sphere.
This is a complete non-issue.
Yes, I see your point. I'm sure he is busy with the "chaos of success" at Sphere.
Busy week for Sphere executives. Seems Sphere President and founder Peter T. has resigned as Director of Northern Mining. Its share price has dropped from Sept 2011 at $288 to 74 cents today. Makes Sphere look like grand slam home run.

Ever hopeful after all that has happened?
Are you including the offer from Hugo and I in that "three unsolicited offers"?
33 cents. I am very relaxed and very calm :))
Just keep posting meaningless nonsense. Maybe 2017 is THE YEAR!!
Perhaps you can explain what any of this has to do with Sphere 3D.
PS The author states he has "nearly two decades of experience delivering over 1,000 virtualization and access projects".
Consider that for a moment. That's one project a week. And that is remarkable considering that Peter Tassiopoulous himself said that Sphere virtualization and access projects (i.e. Glassware) take many, many months to complete.
If only the author had been on the Sphere team sooner.........
You're right. Doesn't matter anyway, as I spoke too soon. Hugo just sent me a private note to advise that he is unwilling to pay $1 each. He only willing to spend $1 in total for the Overland assets and IP, and at that price thinks he is overpaying.
It did not IPO at $11. Not sure were you got your figures and financial info but it is incorrect.
Make it three! Hugo and I will offer a $1 each for Overland's assets.
Tredd, all that patent post refers to is a simple assignment of a patent app from Morelli and Bookman to Sphere3D. Totally meaningless unless if granted, and then totally meaningless if protested., and has no financial impact whatsoever.
In 2016 we heard some howlers from the Sphere team. What was your favourite statement from management?
Mine was the President saying during a quarterly call that "we can't tell you what is happening with Glassware on Azure because Microsoft doesn't provide us with visibility to what happens on their platform".
Anyone that doubted the real objective of this company should have grabbed what was left of their investment and run when they heard that statement. Just hilarious, and simply absurd.
Nothing. It means absolutely nothing.
Who knows, and I'm not an investor so would have no standing or interest
Perhaps the target is not the company.
I am told that there is a group of investors that are preparing a lawsuit against Sphere and its founders. Is this true?
I also heard that many investors have lost $500k to a $Million or more. Is that true? I would genuinely appreciate learning what it was that attracted to this stock.
Was it the "story" of game changing tech? The newsletter? The PR re Msft, VMware, Dell etc? Management expertise?
As a long time skeptic, I just cannot understand why anyone would drop that kind of cash on Sphere, Glassware and this management team. But, maybe I missed something along the way. Thanks, and not looking to start a war but genuinely interested to understand the reasoning and psychology.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, hope 2017 finds a few sweet performers in your stocking.
Who told you that?
Hugo, the question of a value for the V3 assets is irrelevant. It's worthless. The system is based on VMare's IP.
Let's not forget two critical points:
1/ The V3 system is based on the now superseded VMware View platform. View was superseded by VMware Horizon, and represents a new code base. It may be the case that the V3 DCO software, built for View does not work with Horizon. That may explain what Novarad dropped Novaglass from its product mix. (Besides, it wa irrelevant in the market as any customer could buy View?Horizon and install it on box to replicate the V3 solution)
2/ The V3 software is not patented and is subject to a nasty lawsuit between Peter Bookman former partner Michael Anderer, Bookman and has partners at V3, and Sphere. Last I heard they were suing Bookman and Sphere for $15 million.
So, knowing all that, why would anyone put any value on the V3 tech?
I will remind everyone that almost a year ago, Hugo predicted this decline in share price, and these steps by Cyrus. As I recall, he said that once Cyrus pulls it board member, the end was near.
I also can't help but notice that during the period from receipt of the letter to release of the letter publicly, there was another empty press release that pumped the share price by approximately 100%.
Has anyone seen this happen before with Sphere? Wondering if this is a trend or just a happy coincidence?
Merry Christmas everyone!
Reminds me of some lines from Animal House:
"Assume the position!" and "please sir, may I have another?"
I agree. I think Hugo's call for zero is absurd. The coffee maker is worth the dollar you call for. The rest is garbage.

Looks like they forgot to include the comments from Cyrus about failed product deliverables and incompetent management.
So, they have once again delayed releasing vital information needed by investors to make fully informed decisions.
How does this company manage to do this over and over without sanctions from the OSC and SEC?
Ok, I stand corrected. THIS is the funniest thing I have read on iHub:
"The Company views the letter to be indicative of Cyrus’s belief that the business has yet to reach its full potential, and there is an opportunity to maximize shareholder value."
Well, some of us don't believe in Santa Claus, but then again, some of us didn't believe the story spun by Tassiopoulos, Kelly., Morelli and Bookman either.
I have no idea if there is a case for TTommy and his lawsuit, but wish him luck.
Did Sphere execs mislead retail investors? Did they commit investment fraud? I'm not a lawyer so can't answer that. All I know is that since 2013 they company and its senior executives have made false statements to investors, and made claims about the product, and business that are now known to be untrue.
If I had lost millions as some retail investors have I would certainly consider legal action. I wish them luck.
Hugo said many times times several months ago that once Cyrus capital exited the BOD, the game would be almost over.
They are setting the table to get all their money out, or whatever they can salvage. Retail shareholders should expect to get completely wiped out.
Are these the same guys that promoted the stock would hit $16 in 2014, and $40 in 2015 and $600 in 2016?
Contact TTommy on Friday 5-5pm via a direct message.I understand he has organized a class action lawsuit
Funniest line I have read on the Sphere message board: "we are here to help squeeze these shorts that took advantage of you guys. Company also fueling the squeeze with PRs, new eyes on company, lets see how they handle it."
We are here to help.........
You obviously haven't paid much attention to the history of this company, have you?
Ah, no they didn't. They PR'd that they had received unsolicited offers for parts of their business. That could be someone offering to buy their coffee maker.
As always, the devil is in the details. And there are never any details with Sphere, just meaningless hype.
Hey, don't forget 16/60/600.
Any day now........
