Not smart right now. Maybe after another leg up my friend
I like I argue with you for a couple reasons. Firstly, you post negative constantly and disregard the upcoming handful of catalysts or other tech. Second, well I just like to argue... it's good practice. Keeps me sharp and witty. Wouldn't you be just a little bored if you didn't have me around?
So if PM blocks VLN or X22 which the FDA is clearly standing behind, could the FDA not block PM in their quest to get an MRTP on IQOS? How about blocking it as a medical device? The way I understand it is there is a "give up something to get something" between the industry and FDA.
I have May 29 - June 13 in the calendar in my head. Why don't you?
So if you can't direct me to a study that shows Brand A or X22 creating an overwhelming amount of sustained quitters... Why should BT be so concerned.
Why didn't they block gum and patches from market? Cause when I read study results, I don't see VLN performing much better than patches and gum (which BT doesn't collect revenue on in the US...but didn't BAT have one in Europe?).
Sounds like an avenue for revenue stream to me. Did you read the study where participants who used VLN showed that they would transition to Vapor?
Perhaps you should read more studies??
And again I allowed you to steer the convo away from tobacco tech to an X22/Brand A discussion!
Brand B/high nicotine tobacco tech is something BTI or PM would want?
Please direct me to a study where x22/Brand A crushed it. When you can do that, I'll start listening.
We agree on everything except for the fact that you think Tobacco isn't interested in the tech.
- Price is where it's at because there's no money being made from the tech.
- I agree another offering is on the way without some kind of deal.
I hear constantly how tobacco is considered bad around the world and demonized. I agree. Ever read some comments on articles talking about xxii cig tech? Even with 22nd century, a Mfg that nobody knows, people still think they are trying to hoodwink. Imagine the bad press if PM or BAT were the names in those articles and not XXII. Everyone would think they were hoodwinking. It's in Big Ts best interested to keep quiet, let xxii work it through so there's minimal public scrutiny, and finally, since it's under XXIIs house it won't effect Big Ts stock/financials. You and I take a hit and not them.
Smart
We don't mean anything unless we get MRTP status. HELLO?
Come on man. I thought you had your finger on the pulse? Surely you can read between the lines better than that? I posted the link and clearly you haven't read it yet.
Did you read the article? It was all about the 2009 Family smoking and prevention act. Hence 2009. Hence them talking about PM influencing it.
Catch up or we are going to have to change you alias to South -4000
If you're going to debate, don't try and ignore facts. That ruins the fun and makes it too easy
Uh NUH. 2009 - 2017... We aren't even at 10 yrs yet.
Next...?
Mandating any nicotine across the board won't ever happen and I've been pretty loud and clear about that for as long as I have been invested in XXII.
Where's the facts? Just one is all I am asking.
PM has in the past publicly made comments against regulation, then secretly worked with congress to get regulations passed.
VLN isn't a silver bullet and PM CEO keeps harping on a "smoke free" future.
So that's a common thing to try and shut me up. "It's outdated".
Yet clearly in my quotes it says PM is on a 10-20 yr mission...
Chess not checkers.
Can you show me some proof that PM has tried to trip up XXII?
Well considering a study is out that shows VLN can push consumers who don't want to quit into Vapor products, and knowing dr G-strings connections...
It amazes me how people ignore this...
"Believing the "end run" option was the only viable escape for the company, PM employees started developing a comprehensive, 10-20 year strategy to "hold the line" on tobacco regulation and preserve the social acceptability of smoking"
"FDA legislation PM is now pushing to enact will likely harm the company little if at all, and is quite likely to benefit the company in the long run. For example, industry documents show that PM seeks provisions that
1) put the burden of disclosing the health hazards of smoking onto a third party (which takes liability off the companies);
2) put the burden of reducing the risks of smoking onto a third party (which also takes liability off the companies);"

Did you hear the $370k other income or whatever the finance guy said?
The last question was the best. First trial for brand B already funded. Possible big T funding of later trials.
Yes it was addressed matter of factly imo (and not surprised).
Last caller asked how Brand B would be funded. Henry said the first one is a small trial. He then said that further trials could possibly be a big tobacco partner.
Agreed. Fake news. Zzzzzzz nexxxxt!
Agreed...
Lol. Thanks for the info. ;).
Will be great material
Scotty too squatty
Lol there it is squatty scotty. Just squatting on your 80 cent short from August 2016. Lol. Seems like you're the one crying.
Still sitting on that short at 80 cents squatty Scotty? Lol.
As long as you don't forget about it if it tanks on something legit!
I have seen MMs reach way back to trigger poor SOBs stop losses then ride it right back up just like what was done...
Why I don't do stop losses.
I just picture a bunch of suits in a room tapping the inside of their elbow with two fingers quickly with a tube of green Hash oil in the other fingers...
Just cause you don't wanna push buttons, doesn't mean I wont push buttons.
Oppppsie ;)
Come on man...X22 and Brand A not the same...
I think it was 40B over that 25 yrs. Not really a huge penalty considering Big T is making 37% more money than it did back then...
Do you think the loons in congress figured inflation into that 40B? That is actually a serious question.
The 1999 settlement was meant to go to tobacco education/quitting. After the market crash in 2000 the states started to dip into that $$ to fund other non tobacco things.
FDA/WHO wants to curb smoking. Big T sure is investing in RRPs like its the future. Analysts loving RRPs. Tobacco will continue to be priced/taxed out of the market. Which can only inevitably mean that cigarette use will decline in the coming years.
But that's where MJ comes in. And that's where weed taxes come in. Lawmakers and Big T can all get high on MJ $$
I see the light. It's burnnns
Actually let me retract that...after reading it a number of times, it looks like Big T further shut the door on light and low tar...
Looks like they tried to remove the warning altogether.
Appeals said Nah rephrase.
Esad...why is Big T still fighting...since 1999...the ability to market light and low tar cigarettes? Gosh what an old strategy to still be pursuing...!!
Hmmmmmm
https://consumerist.com/2017/04/25/federal-appeals-court-after-11-years-theres-no-more-reason-for-big-tobacco-to-delay-warning-ads/
Brand B, "The $$$ maker"! POC w/ FDA must have went well. Time to read twats...
Couple questions I have:
1) can xxii tech help with the possible NNN ban in smokeless tobacco
2) can xxii tobacco tech help with growing/farmer efficiencies
British American Tobacco’s commitment to developing inspiring products that can drive change and reduce the health impact of tobacco on the world is the focus of its latest report, available now.
This new report demonstrates British American Tobacco’s continued commitment to, and progress in providing consumers, with a choice of new, innovative products, based on sound science and game-changing technology, and how it is championing harm reduction and its potential to have a dramatic and positive effect on public health.
Don't know how I missed these. Haven't read them yet. Sustainability report and harm reduction report for 2016.
I love how he used the word "game changing". Henry used that same phrase on a CC a couple quarters ago.

Lol. That wrapper isn't even real Connecticut Shade.
Yes I know a little about cigars.
Last time you suggested it you didnt follow your own rule.
Go head and hit that ignore button!
You offer no facts. No credible evidence. Just opinions from your business background back in the 90s.
When you can provide more than "you don't understand" and "it's politics" I'll hear you out. Until then nope.
