That would be the best of both worlds adding in Co. and entering a new state. However, I don't see Dye deviating from the playbook as far as buying anything that doesn't add to the bottom line. I know nothing about Apothecary Extracts. Can't wait for some news.
Agree. If they do as they did last year that by itself would be wonderful. I think we went from 24 or so to 40. If we would continue at this pace we could be close to mid fifties or maybe more. What I don't want is a bloated balance sheet with excessive debt. This word national really has me scratching my head.
I do agree Doc something is cooking also believe news will be forthcoming. I believe our new state entry is coming.
I hope so as Co. just reported horrendous numbers for Nov. They went from month sales drop from $142 Mil in Oct. to $130 Mil in November. Also went on to say that many medical card holders are now buying from the black market. The state needs to totally Crack down on this as tax revenues have went down so much many programs including schools will lose funding and the people/kids will suffer significantly.
Free cash flow allows more acquisitions and continued growth. This will allow J.D. playbook to continue unabated. While others will continue to inflate already bloated balance sheets and dilute shareholders. Many MSO'S are trying to build up cash to merely stay afloat.
Read the last paragraph pertaining to Fl. As we are already in 2023 legalization could come within a year. Would be very nice to have a presence even with medical as it would be very easy for legal adaption once approved.

Agree 100% with your last sentence in the 2nd paragraph!
I do agree that nobody knows. However, the word national definitely infurs another state or states coming. Where it happens and when is merely a guessing game.
My guess is based on how they proceeded in the past with x-amount of dispensaries originally with StarBuds and then applying the same cookie cutter approach with GreenLeaf although a little different with 6 dispensaries added through scratch.
This has been the playbook so far and obviously when compared obviously puts us ahead of the pack. They talk about the playbook often. While when, where, and whom is anyone's guess I just don't see them deviating from the playbook.
I believe it will be a merger/partial acquisition of a weak failing regional or even the possibility of something in FL. As always comments welcome.
JUSHF has 4 very lucrative dispensaries in Las Vegas and 27k cultivation. They paid $62.5 mil fora couple plus the grow.
Like all of the MSO'S they overpaid with lots of debt. They did have $31Mil cash. No share structure data provided. Losses are estimated at .37 per share this year. Certainly worth a peak with the location and possibly a dash for cash as the mso's go down in smoke. With a need for cash and the ability to get cash in this environment this is going to get quite interesting very soon.
Gotta love the team J.D. has assembled. J D. mentioned a larger acquisition a few months ago. It was mentioned Las Vegas dispensaries from JUSHF which is an msos which like all the others has hit a brick wall. This was mentioned on Yahoo M B.lots of cash strapped MSO'S. Would be a new state and lots of people. I have not at all looked into this but believe another state is inevitable with the word national. Of course imo.
Wow that is a lot more dispensaries. Hope we can gain market share there.
Is the state doing anything to start regulating the amount of dispensaries in the future?
Another co-worker in the mix. Looks like the merger will close. looks like Dye is bringing the whole crew here.
Kind of makes me wonder if they will try and build it and sell it. Especially with Congress in turmoil and nothing happening possibly for quite some time IMO.
N.M. is on auto-pilot. Looking for more acquisitions in Colorado soon! Wonder how long before we enter another state.
After reading your post and considering very few are paying their taxes I believe you are spot on. At some point the tax "man" is going to demand payment and shit is going to hit the fan. I believe it was you that already mentioned it. My guess with this debt some are holding it becomes the death cross as they probably ate paying interest plus now most will pay 15% to borrow more money. It actually becomes a high interest credit card. Go SHWZ.
Probably the best increase in months. Thx. for the update.
Assuming AYRWF is on this list. Had some very knowledgeable Canadian friends all over that and lost almost everything.
Free cash flow after expenses. Sorry didnt make myself clear.
Wow incredible amount of variety. Awesome
Can't wait for financials as my hope is most of this organic growth is from cash flow.
So buy when their is blood on the streets? Or wait for the weak ones fail and go bankrupt? This is anyone's call.
Nice to see shwz hold despite tax loss selling.
As you have mentioned StarBuds is in 7 different States which has no ties with SHWZ. How would StarBuds being in N.M. be of any concern to SHWZ bringing any lawsuit? We are only GreenLeaf in N.M. please connect the dots as I'm confused.
PS I totally appreciate your thoughts and explanations.
I see this is in NM. Could you expla8n this and Green Leaf?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my SHWZ family.
T is for taxes which have not been paid. Obviously not really truly EBITDA.
I would tend to disagree. While the pps may not currently be saved they are definitely on a very different path. They are now aggressively adding new dispensaries at 1/3 the cost and even less. IMO, they will now gain market share as small operators can not compete with the competitiveness and get bought out on the cheap
I do believe mega is correct about tier 1 companies pertaining to tax issues and mounting debt. FWIW, in some ways SAFE not passing actually helps SHWZ. I'm sure some won't agree with that statement.
Patience required but the rewards will be awesome.
Many large and small will not survive this environment
Thx. DOC. Agree grow and stay profitable. Just don't add debt. Yes paying it down would be nice but not sure that is going to happen soon. Wow 40 dispensaries! Maybe 55 is a good number for 2023.
This is all good but brings up a question that has basically escaped the conversation. What has or is happening with Bioscience division? Is there not much happening or something blockbuster we are unaware of? This has been pretty much of a mute conversation for awhile
Lmao. Probably a lot of truth.
Hope they are doing this with cash flow without adding debt
I've got Td and Fidelity and prefer Fidelity. They have stocks that TD won't let you trade. Although TD I'm able to get better low ball buys that fill
Another blown opportunity for what the majority of Americans want. We the people have no voice period. To think of the money saved with incarceration and the money collected in federal coffers makes no sense.
I believe we should be hearing about 2 more dispensaries in N.M. soon. In Oct. management said 4 new openings by year end. So far 2 have been opened.
What did you do? Sell SHWZ and buy TCNNF. GLTY
His buys not looking so smart now. Lol hindsight.
Ps. This drop probably now instigating more year end tax selling.
Currently that is what the sentiment is. No reason to attack the poster/posters. Before It was taken out of the defense bill everything was rah rah rah and you had no problem. Am I disappointed? I sure am. Will Dye find a way to turn lemons into lemonade? I have no doubt. Currently a major setback but not the end . Cash flow and sustained growth will be the catalyst in the long-term. GLTY
Totally sucks but kind of suspected this
With this avenue closing down for now I would suspect it will give more pain for many operators. Especially with prices down due to oversupply. Then you have interest rates rising even 13-15% could become cheap bringing more opportunities as dilution and bankruptcy becomes more prevalent.
With that said I would think SHWZ will have opportunities abound with small operators dying on the vine. Would appreciate your thoughts IPS or anyone else on how this will affect the industry and especially SHWZ.
Consolidating nicely
I'm cautiously optimistic but no expectations. Pretty well fed up with politics as in general they normally just won't compromise for what the people want.
That does make sense.
