Intuitive would only buy Titan to kill it.
ISRG and Titan's technology is radically different. Neither will adopt the others.
HC, another thing missing with Titan is a true champion for SPORT. Been missing since Fowler left, and frankly he wasn't such a dynamic personality anyway. And after he left, no one at "headquarters" seemed to give a shite anyway.
Do we know who the SAB members are in terms of the visibility they provide SPORT. No. I'm sure they all have their day jobs and that's just fine with them.
Thank god now that Titan is far from rudderless because of McNally. (It was absolutely dead in the water under Pops Hargrove and man-of-mystery Rayman).
But either McNally is gonzo for the product potential or he's hoping to turn it around and sell the show. I'd bet on the latter.
We haven't heard a word about the Earl SAIL Center at Anne Arundle in what, well over a year? Has anything been done with them?
And having a good product still requires the market to adapt the snake-arms paradigm, over wristed joints. There are fundamental differences in how the two operate and are controlled.
It is by no means certain that one is better than the other; Titan has made no claim to that.
SPORT needs to seed the concept well in advance of the product rolling out. This is why VIDEOS of the control and operational end are very important to get out there. So far, there have been NO well produced videos by Titan at all, and nothing new for a long time.
I consider this to be a very important step for them to take soon.
This board has never been the typical worthless pump/dump gutter. Very smart and knowledgeable people here have posted good insight for management to consider.
You see the results of a Hargrove/Rayman/Randall approach. Were they the experts we needed to guide Titan?
Let's hope McNally and crew consider what they read here, good and bad, and come away with a better sense of what is on their investors minds. And I hope McNally is putting in floor time at Ximedica.
Correct. They read this board even if they are telling others they don't. They will read this board even if they try not to. I think Honey's 'rants' serve a purpose. At least now we know we are being heard, and the icing on the cake is mustang's letter writing campaign.
I never had the sense that the previous CEO and President did.
Wonder if Paige keeps up on it; she has a lot of free time, I suspect.
Titan under new management and things are going to happen fast over there. Faster than in this failure. Senhance - I don't think so.
GREAT NEWS!
Apparently Mr. McNally takes advice from me (and a few others). HA HA.
Well put! I agree with you completely!
Reiza is wasted human capital for Titan, as the President.
If I EVER heard that he is involved, on a steady and serious basis, with what is going on in this company, I might feel differently.
My only reasonable inference at this time is that he has been 'out of the game' for a number of years. "Not good", as our good president elect Trump is wont to say.
"Paige, your fired!", is what I want to hear next.
As far as we know his daughter is still getting a paycheck. I hope that is not the case.
Think she has met with McNally to update him on her progress yet?
HA, HA, HA, HA...
McNally knows that competition is going to come fast and hard; it already is whether you think it is big-corporation propaganda or not. Google/JnJ are already talked about like they are already a product. Heck, the Koreans or Japanese could sew up this market in two years.
In under 1 year (my prediction) Titan and SPORT will look nothing like they do now. Sold, partnered, in debt to the hilt, or in regulatory trials. Can't waste anymore time.
Spot on.
I'm an investors in my late 50's. I want return now, not in 5-10 years.
Rather sell out for about $2! LOL
Well now the new CEO CAN and SHOULD clean house.
Goodbye Paige, Randall, Rayman, and a couple others.
And rent an office next to Ximedica so you can walk down the street and see WTF is going on each day.
I surely hope so. He appears to literally be a liability to me.
Why. Because of his title which appears to be wasted on him. Even Hargrove appeared to be working from time-to-time.
Might as well call him President(retired).
Is he in continuous engagement with the medical community who will be considering SPORT? Is he putting in time at Ximedica? Working with the development of Training (by the way, the SAIL thing is probably long forgotten). Is he even a practicing surgeon? Anything?
If not, he is just a shareholder, maybe can be on the board, but nothing else.
Hargrove was a big corporation inside-man, suits and handshakes, with a pension. Hell, he came out of semi-retirement, didn't he?
He had none of the experience in engineering, venture capital, startups, mergers, etc.. that the new guy has.
And he was too old, period.
Getting on a real exchange is the breakthrough we need. I am confident in this because this current trading volume and pps run up is very large based on "only" the announcement of a new CEO. Despite his great credentials, I would not have expected this interest in Titan. It only goes to show how much upward pressure has built up in this stock, just waiting for any important news to surface. One positive announcement every few weeks could keep the pps up. Longer than that it will drift down again.
Again my point about Rayman is that he does nothing, so why be listed as president? Fill the position with someone who is active at least. Personally I can only believe the guy is independently wealthy and spends all his time on other life interests. He apparently doesn't work as a surgeon.
Jeez, if the "president" has been satisfied with the direction this turkey had for 3+ years, and the look/feel/action of the prior CEO, he is only a hindrance.
Randall will be the next to go, too.
Because he doesn't seem to do anything for the company. Even less a presence than Hargrove was.
Absolutely Reiza Rayman has to either be put to work, or disappear from Titan altogether.
He has been a complete waste as President in recent years; never once did I see an indication that he has done anything in the last 3+ years. Really, what does his title President mean?
I am also convinced he is not a practicing surgeon, although Titan has implied he is. You can find any surgeon in the free world with a simple Google search. Look up Rayman and tell me what you find.
He is also not on any of the patents of this period, as I recall.
Nothing against him personally, of course, but if the "office of President" for Titan has any usefulness at all, he should not be occupying it.
Thank you for that information.
We don't know that they ever even did a cadaver study case. Correct me if I am wrong.
Pathetic beyond understanding.
I wonder where Paige is in that photo?
Probably fetching some nice Swiss cocos for the doctors who wanted to sit down and ask what a Titan SPORT is.
What a friggin' joke of a company.
Maybe Titan could have mentioned it to its shareholders.
I hope Paige stayed at a 5 star hotel and set up her 2x3 poster on time.
"If I can give one takeaway: We have two outstanding companies, who are amazing at what they do currently working on SPORT"
I'd like to have some proof of that. "Working on" doesn't tell us anything either. I can say I'm working on some project at work but it hasn't been touched in months. How much money are we currently providing to Plexus and Ximedica on a monthly basis?
They've got nothing going for them; I'm beginning to doubt the technology is even viable in its given state. Why? Because projects as good as this one is supposed to be attract attention and money and generate news.
We have had none of those for a long, long time, short of a booth at a products hall.
I've seen plenty of interesting medical devices and startups in product booths. Most you never see again.
SPORT and Titan are done. Fowler saw the writing on the wall and wanted to save face. For me it's barely worth selling at this point. They can't even get a dead cat bounce from time to time to sell on.
The longs on this board are like the Hillary voters, ignoring the painfully obvious problems of their candidate to the bitter end.
Bertner, EVC, Hargrove, Paige as VP, an office with no one but a secretary (maybe), a non-entity of a president, sub-par offerings by barely legit brokers, 80 year old CEO, F'ed up websites, assclown announcements of secret providers,... Man, it is painfully obvious to me now.
Look at the two year chart.
Yea well all these dot connections did not result in one penny of even rumor-driven speculation by the market. That says a lot to me. There has never been anything there. The pps tells the story.
We never saw the ink. I suspect that announcements of supplier were based on a handshake or phonecall Hargrove spun into story in his mind.
If an agreement is actually in place, there is NO reason to withhold that from shareholders.
We have all gotten so used to the virtually zero information coming out of Titan we have ceased to question the obvious, like what exactly being worked on at this moment by Ximedica. I'm not talking about revealing IP to the competition, but how about some idea of progress towards a CE, FDA submit-able device?
Agree with your opinions.
New CEO has got to be someone who only sees partnering as the path to commercialization, or in worst case a big sale that will net them the most money for the least work.
There is nothing short of a loan they can't afford that is going to keep Titan sailing on their own.
Regardless of how sincere the interim CEO is, they don't have 2-3 more years to get to CE or FDA submission at this rate. I'm afraid to see the new timelines, whenever they come out (6 months from now?). "Software looks good..." is not an update on progress. Either SPORT is just about ready now, and it doesn't seem to be, or we are looking at 2-3 years of more slow progress. What makes anyone here think otherwise?
It has been proven WITHOUT A DOUBT over the last many offerings that the SIGNIFICANT CASH INVESTMENT needed to push SPORT along in a timeframe able to head off the competition, if it's expected to come from private investors like ourselves, IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Throwing more shares out there at current pps levels is INSANITY. It gets you dilution and fumes to run the show for another few quarters. That's it. There is no announcement short of officially applying for CE or FDA approval that will significantly raise the pps.
SPORT (and Titan) are TOTALLY off the radar.
A new CEO will need to partner, or sell out. SPORT has had no momentum at all in 2-3 years. Why and how is that going to change?
Hell, they can't even post videos attesting to its performance.
Any new CEO will need to RADICALLY change the direction of this company from what it has been. As I have said many times recently, please convince me that DEVELOPMENT (at Ximedica) is seriously in play at this time, because that is all we have going for us.
And why is this still on LinkedIn?

Titan Medical Inc
Vice President, Business Development & Worldwide Sales
Titan Medical Inc
April 2014 – Present (2 years 9 months)
I'm always wondering if, on any given day of our current lives, ANYONE is DOING ANYTHING at the entity known as Titan Medical, Inc.
That might include:
Showing up at an office for a days work.
Making an email or a phonecall.
Signing a legal form.
Typing a line of code.
Contacting the FDA.
Tightening a screw.
Firing up a SPORT unit.
Receiving a package that contains a new component.
Arranging the next show at a medical meeting.
Contacting a potential investor.
Interviewing potential CEOs.
Ordering out lunch because everyone is too busy to leave the office. (A fantasy because there is no one but Susan W. at the "office". She must be very bored and lonely. Hopefully the heat is turned on.)
I HONESTLY do not think that on any given day more than two people associated with Titan actually communicate with one another in any fashion at all, in all the world.
I am unaware that ANY work is being performed on SPORT by Ximedica.
Oh, and remind me what RR does, if anyone actually knows.
Full price of the Gyno Robotics report is $2500. 95 pages.
You wonder who buys this stuff.
Other than that Titan is ZZzzzz, ZZzzzz, ZZzzzz to me.
Agree with EVERY WORD you wrote!
This company could have sold itself into a healthy pps if properly represented over the past years.
Yes. I think that sale is an Alf-X that was practically developed at the same hospital (and surgeons) that have been developing and testing it. Like Henry Ford 'selling' the first model T to the mechanics at his garage.
What is so amazing here with Titan is that with even a low-end "realistic" price for this stock we'd all be in the black at least. I mean just a few dollars.
That it has never organically moved into the few dollar range is the black cloud that hangs over this company like a curse. I agree it should be a screaming buy, but putting another buck into Titan after years of pain is something I just can't do right now. I need to see some interest from the market, and that is simply not happening as of now.
THANK YOU, John E. Barker, Interim Chief Executive Officer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, but in the real world this does not mean they have started MEANINGFUL work YET. I hope they have, but even the fact that this question is raised should prompt a timely confirmation through our illustrious IR company, EVC Group.
We need a rehash of the next milestones; they are not available on the webpage.
"...have reached agreement on the initiation of an acceptable development plan for the SPORT™ Surgical System. The agreement is effective immediately and is focused on Titan’s previously announced Human Factors and Usability Trials milestones for the SPORT system. “Ximedica is a valued partner and this agreement enables us to resume the development of the SPORT Surgical System,” commented John Barker, Interim CEO of Titan Medical Inc. “This agreement and the decisions by the Board of Directors earlier this week demonstrate the committed effort of our company to advance the SPORT Surgical System.” “We believe the SPORT Surgical System represents a significant technology and everyone at Ximedica is proud to be associated with its continued development,” commented Randall Barko, President and CEO of Ximedica. “Our development team is re-engaging and our objective is to deliver on Titan’s milestones.” As the new development plan proceeds the Company will report on its progress.
