SeeThruEquity raised its price target from 14 cents to a quarter.
Thanx. You too!
Not really interested in playing that game but I'm smiling about my long position in AAPL.
I'm not a chicken counter but I think it would be a shame to dump at twenty cents and later look back at a dollar. I'd maybe sell some and ride the rest.
If it got over twenty cents would you sell?
The rather muted response is due to the new target price being a result of already known factors coupled with Mr. Market's "ho hum" attitude toward this company because of the many times that "great" things were supposed to happen but still haven't. Great things will happen. It's just that the Market is not yet convinced.
Agreed.
Having established all that, the stock price has managed to hold up quite well (between 8 and 9 cents). It is still possible and even likely that the company will succeed in spite of itself.
Isn't that why we are still holding it?
OK. Well said, ssc. On Sept. 1 of 2009 the stock made a high of $.195 on the announcement of the Flynn technology. For the purpose of comparison, If, for example, another technology from Los Alamos led to another acquisition by mhtx would it be possible to revisit that lofty pps level without SSI?
In fairness, this unit, although a second or third generation depending on who is counting, is exactly that. A beginner of what
future generations of it will be that will be used for human clinical trials. In perspective, the first successful flying machines were not F-16 fighters.
I'm suggesting that the one chance to impress the cancer research world lies in the perfection of this machine. Both SSI and MDA are in agreement on this and are willing to take whatever steps are required to insure that perfection.
It is imperative for MHTX that SSI delivers a unit that consistently produces correct results. MDA is ok with what ever delay it takes to insure no glitches. Significant dates are approaching. Hang on to your shares!
I'm sorry SSC. I had to step away for a few hours to help a friend with a project. My "Who dare?" was a response to Zalhmeister's "knock knock". All I can say is that things are moving in the right direction. As you know, owning this stock requires more patience than the average fellow has. Hang in there. Significant things are on the way.
Who dare?
Like I have said. Buyers want a low price. Sellers want a high price.
I wish I could trade, Hunch. Since I have and have had access to material information not necessarily public, I'm afraid to trade.
Currently the bid is .0825. If you want to shake out sellers then bid .1
Well, another PHD salary and still no income probably leads to more dilution by the current "revenues in exchange for shares"
method of operation.
It is much like piloting a single engine airplane over mountainous terrain at night when suddenly your engine quits. What do you do? Turn on the landing light. If then you are not happy with what you see, turn it off!......Having said that, considering the recently published financial information, 9 cents is pretty sporty! Have you seen the rest of the market lately?
So..he wants to sell SSI?
Who would do that!?
Hunch, another consideration is your life expectancy. If you are age 79 your life expectancy may only be 5 0r 6 years and so 20 times earnings, implying twenty years to recover your investment would be unsuitable.
The big thing you stated is "Track Record". Mr. Market needs to see proof of accomplishment before shedding his skepticism. 30 cents? Maybe with the right amount of irrational exuberance but in the mean time you should take your temperature. Its not like you to be this optimistic!
If it breaks above $.09, a new 52 week high, I believe other positive stimuli would be required to propel the pps all the way to $.18 because even if the known facts about potential events that are "about to" or "due to happen" happen, it doesn't add up to a double without some irrational exuberance.
Thanx for the mood music, man. Ma was affected in a positive way!
Ya think?
So now we're both smiling. Thanks. That's two!
Machine delivery delay could be due to MDA's requirement changes rather than MHTX inability to produce.
The scientists at SSI are physicists while the researchers at MDA are medical doctors. Although your concerns with delays are valid, ie. first quarter has now gone by, the language of the software has to be usable to MDA. Does anyone know if MHTX is working with a software development company to help bridge the gap?
Regardless, it will happen when it happens.
The last MDA collaboration PR states delivery in the first quarter of 2014. Which would be worse, A little bit late or the unit is a complete PoS which either doesn't work or requires a major amount of embarrassing tweaking in order to have a chance at operability?
Can't agree more, SSC. The "unbeliever" crowd is wanting to take advantage of the price rise but in the dump mode uses a market order which plays into the hands of the "wish I had bought while it was cheaper" crowd. It screams for some news with some meat in it!
OK. Yesterday's PR produced at one point a 1 cent rise in the stock price. How much exuberance would today's ditty create? and
Won't that much and more be created when the actual start up of the machine happens in Houston?
I just think it is great that they took the time to include us in the information loop. An answer to many complaints about company "secrecy".
E-mail is cheap and press releases are expensive so I believe it to be in the company's best interest to save the press release for the news that provides the best "pop" for the stock. This bit of news really isn't news because we already knew or expected that this is what they are up to. What will be news is the actual delivery, installation and start up of the NanoMRX at MDA. Should be very soon.
We're finally getting some updates from he company. Something that has been needed. Yet when we get exactly what was asked for,
"It should have been a press release". Maybe they are saving the press release for when the actual delivery takes place and this e-mail is just a share holders update.
Me too.
Unless the business plan has changed in the last ten months, the company doesn't plan to sell the machines though it may collect a royalty from each machine sale and/or from each machine use. The licensee would contract to build and sell the machines.
Looks like that answers the question, "Why not big pharma?"
Yes! It is a mountaintop clearance milestone without a doubt. Mr. Market, however, wants to be shown the money. This explains the rather muted and delayed reaction so far in the stock.
Time will tell. It is not bad news!
