I had e-mailed the company regarding Gandur's statement about the two drill ships not being secured and this the response I recieved.
Thank you for your note and your interest in ERHC Energy. At this point, Addax has yet to issue such a statement and until they do, the only information we can pass along to our shareholders is what HAS been publicly disclosed by the operators. This is a requirement of the Joint Development Authority. It is worth emphasizing that ERHC has previously indicated that drilling will begin AS EARLY AS the fourth quarter. We have great confidence in the operators to do everything in their power to mitigate the impact of a delay, but we have made clear that the projections of drilling timelines are subject to change. That guidance still stands.
Sincerely,
Dan Keeney, APR
DPK Public Relations
Maybe its because oil just hit $140 bbl with no end in sight. Guess what?; the price of the drill ships just got higher. Addax and everyone else in deep water just has to belly up to the bar and dig deep to get the party going. IMO
My suggestion is to write Matt and tell him not to let I=Hub become another Raging Bull.
Not to beat a dead horse, but does the extension have to be made before the 5 year window ends?
Perhaps they came as consultants as did David Bovell before he was hired full time.
I cannot help but agree with both you and DG. Unfortuantely, so far, it looks like potential investors agree as well, seeing the volume for the last couple of days. When they start talking about "duplicating assests" and "massive" investment opportunities, it sounds to good to be true.
When they say duplicating the assests, its a little hard for me to wrap my brain around it. Cinsidering the potential stattgering mumbers of the possible share price of what we have already. My biggest fear is that it sounds to good to be true: ergo the "Nigerian S(cam) word".
Operators of two of the JDZ Blocks have indicated that drill could begin before the end of 2008. Changing could to will start drilling would make all the difference in the world IMO. I hope they come out with a transcript of the presentation.
I'm sure Dan will have a recap.
Bid is building, Nite sits at .59 on the ask. Looking good.
Something posted?
.57 on the ask.
Well if that was the "news", perhaps there might be a sell off. I personaly don't think so, as I firmly believe there will be another pr before the SF shindig.
And the pps is ? Taking all the negatives out, the heavy fine that is (if there is one at all), what do can you envision the share price could be short term; next 6 months and once we get to proven. tia
Insomnia. LOL
PS Congrats TAMTAM, I know you'll do a great job!
Rig announcement as well?
I wondering what the chances are of the new listing on the AIM before the June 5th conference. It would make a very compelling presentation IMO.
Once we get to drilling, it becomes an investment, not a play. IMHP
What I don't understand is why so many seem to put faith in Oily and spin it so positively. Now the new guy comes out with some pretty exciting news and now people think now we are really screwed. Hey if it makes everyone feel better maybe Bovell is really Oilphant. LOL
ERHC Energy is in the midst of an exciting period and we want to make sure you are up to date on Company announcements and activities. For those who were unable to join us for the Annual Shareholders Meeting a couple weeks ago in Houston, we offer a number of reports and updates stemming from the meeting.
The company's new Chief Operating Officer and acting CEO/President, Peter Ntephe presided over the meeting at which it was announced that Nicolae Luca, who had served as director since 2001 and as acting CEO/President since 2006, had resigned to pursue other interests. Shareholders voted overwhelmingly to re-elect directors (pictured left to right) Clement Nwizubo, Dr. Andrew Uzoigwe and Howard Jeter. Each will serve a term that expires at the next Annual Meeting. You can click here to listen to a replay of the meeting and view the management presentation.
During the past few weeks the Company has also welcomed David Bovell to the newly created position of Vice President Corporate Development. Mr. Bovell sat for an interview that you can find below in which he discusses his objectives and expectations.

Good post tryot. EO, steps down, company information becomes readily availbe to the SH and now some are taking pot shots at it? Give me a break. I guess some would like to back to the gulag days of no information at all. If you don't trust the direction the current BOD is taking the company, sell and move on.
Missed that one try.. was the candidate on the white board?
I have to agree with BB in as much that Bovell was in place in some capacity before the official announcement, because he seems to have hit the floor running. Future is starting to take shape.
Good post and great advice. Prior to the SHM for the most part the concensus was that the current BOD was mostly negative. I got the feeling that for the people who took the effort to get there, came away with a totally different feeling.
This company is a far cry from where we were from the last meeting and I believe that Bovell will be a great asset to ERHE and eventually the pps.
The Patriots drafted Tom Brady in the sixth round. What a stff he turned out to be! lol
Does that also mean not listing on any other exchange?
Another high quality appointment to compliment Ledbetter. Who's still laughing at the white board? Great news!
Petermax and others had some great comments about the SHM.

I would also like to weigh in and thank you and the others that took the time and expense to attend the SHM. Also for deciminating the meeting that was difficult at best to hear and understand. My wish was to attend but other business kept me home.
PS. Joe Shea, if he had any journalistic, integrety should have made it his business to attend. He screwed himself for selling at .26 and looks like his toady Mildtran did the same.
IMO
Do you have any idea on who the candidate may be?
I feel we close green. .42+
Any idea who this person is?
Yeah, could be a free fall, or as us longs like to say, a buying op.
Thanks Peter for a good synopsis of the meeting. I was at the first sh meeting and from what I heard and from your perceptions tha company is completely different. I just wish the pps was a lot higher. I am surprised that no one asked if the coompany woud entertain a buy in /buy out.
I wish someone would ask if they would entertain a buy in if it was offered.
I hope someone asks about the white board!
Is this Ledbetter?
When did he say for block 3?
Did he just say exploration 6 to 8 months?
I feel that the buying op might be short lived. We'll see what happens at about 2:30 this afternoon.
Could be an interesting game of chicken. SH meeting at four and you know the white board presentation will be brought up. Obvoiusly some type of buy in scenario was/is being discussed, and wouldn't it be something if they said they were entertaining pi for staters. That coupled with a positve outlook for drilling and some clue of when the DOJ thing is going away. The buy's at .55 would be a steal, acutually anything under a buck would be.IMO
