Didn't Cramer say this was a buy
People quit replying to this idiot
Physco , look at the history of these 2 stocks Freddie never was higher, in it's hay day Freddie was 15 bucs lower , pretty similar ratio as now
The guy who wrote it is short Freddie.
If the Gov ever had plans to NOT compensate junior and common shareholders they should have taken steps to suspend trading of those shares. By not taking those steps they are leading all traders to believe those shares do have value and the potential to increase or decrease in value as do all publicly traded entities. Letting us trade shares when their plan is to deem them worthless is fraud.
So in 08 the gov took over FnF and now that it is doing good they want to get out and leave it to the private sector, re Coeker, which of course makes no sense because if the economy tanks again what the gov is NOT going to come to the rescue again. Of course they will cause they will have to just like they did last time cause they had to. The best thing they can and should do is make their money back plus a couple hundred billion, release it back to the way it was, start selling blocks of their prefereds , like they are doing with GM, which would make them a couple more hundred billion and everybody would be happy. It does not have to be this drawn out BS that is happening now. Start posting this everywhere people, cause if the economy tanks again it won't matter what the name of the entity is the gov will have to help.
Will do but I must show my ignorance and ask you to kindly inform myself and others exactly where we go to submit our objections
Thank you in advance
I am long FMCC and will be for a long time so I liked that article but the Author of it mention that the Gov bailed out AIG and FORD, well Ford did not get any money so his credibility is squat, maybe I am too analytical but when someone writes an article that has one fact wrong it diminishes the value of said article. I guess that guy has GM shares as well
Agreed, and really why bother to belittle anyone especially if we're all on the same side. Sometimes a little reassurance is comforting.
Now back to the real topic. We really need to get our message across to PMI to reform their restructuring plan so as not to punish the people who have supported them during the tougher times. Like FnF maybe we should get a petition going
He is just looking for a response and we both gave him one , I won't fall for that again
Morning Gary, ya I have been pumping this stock too and didn't post yesterday , wonder why I didn't get a nasty message, think maybe someone shite in his cornflakes
If you think it is going that low it would be stupid to buy there, think about it

All of you following the mortgage insurance market can find cheaper stocks in this segment that do not have GVMNT control hanging over them PMI Group is certainly one that I am watching . Today is the 1st day that it is not following in FnF footsteps . Also today a hearing is underway to determine if PMIs restructuring plan will be allowed to unfold. Like FnF this stock used to run in the double digit $ and has no govmnt control over it. You can take some profits from here and buy significant shares at rates that FnF were at a few months ago. Have a look , obviously it is a gamble just a cheaper gamble with similar upside. As well PMI is in Arizona where the housing market is only just beginning to recover, if it recovers there like it is in most other states the potential is even greater, don't forget FnF are doing better than they used to be so it stands to reason that PMI will as well
I am pretty sure today
Have a look at this post

Just posted this on FMCC, copy and post it everywhere

Don't worry about the range between F&F Fannie was always higher check the history but they will both rise who cares if Freddie passes Fannie . They are making more money than they used to when their pps were $60 so I think we will be jus fine
Spread the news " even though PMI is following in FNMA footsteps but does not have to because not under GVMNT control , mortgage insurance market on a run has nothing to do with FnF
Check out this article on f&f it will ease your mind and if it doesn't then consider that if the G were to wind down f&f their intention is to give private companies more control of the mortgage insurance market so that bodes well for PMI Group

Have a look at this article , the shorts may make a little hay this morn but long term no way

I think the sticky I just posted should ease some minds. The lower open is going to happen but long term this article explains a lot. Don't be freaked.
Thanks Gary, would be happy to get on your board, have been watching your comments and appreciate your moderate commenting which deal with facts not wing n a prayer. That said I pray this goes up lol
Hey Gary what do we want to hear from the PMI hearings on Wed? Are all the bigger money players/funds waiting for the results of that hearing
It seems to me that there are only a couple of people who really know what they are talking about on this board, a person with 2 or 3 hundred grand riding on this is probably going to do better DD than someone like me hoping to hit it big with my measly 6k invested so that being said I ask you Admiral wouldn't it be just as smart for us small players to play the cheap stocks such as PPMIQ?? Lower risk/reward ratio.
So in 08 it took what a week to go from $65 To $1 so it is not that amazing nor will it be unrealistic to think it could go to $10-15 in the next week. Even going to $25-30 is not really out of the Q considering their earnings. The Gov is going to be forced into privatizing these GSEs because too many retail investors will go under for no reason let alone what the Paulsons of the world will have to say. None of us are stupid , big money runs the world and a lot of big money players are going to have lots to say about privatization
The gap between Fannie and Freddie has always historically be there just bring up the long term charts and it is as plain to see as the fact that trader Joey is short and hooped
Heeerrreeesss Johny.
Ya Fannie was alway historically higher , in it's peak Fannie was about $85 and Freddie about $70 so this .30 gap is actually a closer ratio than those historic numbers
Ok now has anyone done due diligence to find out what was paid cause most likeliest and probablies don't answer my question. What was paid?????
So what number is associated with "picking this ticker up cheap" Does anybody know how much was paid for this ticker. You wouldnt think he spent his last dollar buying it, without more money why would he spend any??
