MINM going to continue to be a waiting game. You might see some spikes after press releases, but ultimately it's going to need to show continued growth for any kind of meaningful, sustained rally.
MINM - Yes, it was a bit of a rookie move and that definitely burned a bunch of new shareholders, especially with the new NASDAQ listing. That being said, it is comforting to see the CEO put his money where his mouth is with 200,000 shares at $2.50. This is going to be total patience at this point but I think we will continue to see sequential growth in the next couple of years.
BELFB - With you guys on this. Added some at 13.16 and have another bid in the 12s.
TZA - LOL..only took 2 days.
IMMR (hweb) - My next limit order is at 7.01. Someone needs to stop the bleeding in my account today. Not having any fun to speak of :)
SPCB (Mermelstein) - Agree on this one. It feels like it's gonna pop again at some point. I'm bidding for more in the 1.20s.
Great, Wade..we will give you a couple days to change your mind again.
Added FTCO the other day and CMCL today at 11.66. Two great gold stocks to own, even if you don't like gold!
IMMR - Added some today at 7.50. Will look to add on any further weakness.
OTC (Dark) Stocks - Does anyone here own any of the stocks on that Ameritrade list? I notice a lot of other brokers are starting to follow suit. I currently have 12 names on that list and really wondering what becomes of them. Do some take an interest in getting current w/ financials are most won't care? Probably some good opportunities there for those willing to wait.
No I mean the buy order, not the sell. I had it set a little too low this morning. Can't get frustrated - just takes me away from a winning strategy. I'm sure you guys have some good stories :)
Ugh I missed my fill on SGMA by pennies. Oh well. On to the next one.
GDLLF (Gilead) - Got more in the 1.90s. It would be hard to see a scenario where this doesn't hit $3 in the next year or two.
FTCO - Glad to have you guys onboard. I got all my shares from the GORO spinoff and have held them ever since the 3s. Wish I actually had more..
Added GVP at 1.21
Added TPC at 12.51
Added MOTS at .92
MNDO - Nice day. Glad I haven't sold any of this. I've been in it since April of last year and it has been a pretty steady rise up with a strong dividend to boot.
Yep, MINM looking great. One of the few bright spots in an otherwise lackluster day in my portfolio.
INBP - KIK, what is your target on this? I currently have no position, but used to own it.
Russell extremely weak again today - doesn't bode well for our little microcaps.
Zen (MINM) - yes, I am. Thanks for checking in. Have some in trading account and IRA. Exciting to see some share price appreciation. Hopefully more good things in store. Appreciate your diligence on this one.
KIK - I was just thinking the exact same thing. Now that i'm out of HRBR, it's back in the doldrums time. I'm combing through my lists and have yet to find something exciting.
Thanks - it's a good read. I like his take. I still think there's a lot of speculation built into this drop...but he's right, there was a ton of momo crowd in since $2. It looks like it's stabilized more here in this $1.90 area.
BTuna - They could very well do that. However, if you look at their last 10 years, they don't have a lot of profitability. I like how they eliminated their leasing/rental costs, but I think the PPP money has really buffered them from some losses...and then the NOLs with HRBR.
All i'm saying is I don't see a lot of upside from these levels. Whenever looking at a stock, isn't it about the potential over a medium to longer term?
There's a forum post out there that gets really in depth on the CRJ200 values and they have been deteriorating quite rapidly. I don't think $2 mill is feasible, but maybe. You're talking about a jet that is bordering on obsolete.
Please don't misunderstand me on this - I'm with you guys and wish you the best for your investment but i'm re-assessing the risk on this one and just don't feel like the risk/reward is right any more.
Yes- United came out with news yesterday about replacing their aging fleet, including the 50 seaters (CRJ200), which makes up the entirety of what HRBR has. The current contract ends in February 2023 and i'm not sure if this will include the smaller/regional carriers. However, after researching more last night, I came to the conclusion that the CRJ200 are going to be sold for far less, maybe $1 million per.
I'm really beating myself up for not selling at $3, but I sold my entire position this morning in the $1.90-$2.26 range. Still a 10 bagger for me, and nothing to complain about as there are worse things. The market hates uncertainty, and I think this one has run its course. I can't see a lot of upside from here.
You have to ask yourself this: Who is going to want those CRJ200 jets? They are going to be closer to salvage value because no airline is going to use them any more. Based on what i've seen and the research i've done, I think it's realistic that they get $1 million per, so $64 mill. If their liquidation value is around $1.90-$2.10, there's not a lot of upside there.
The current contract goes through Feb 2023, but you have to imagine at some point you are going to need to replace that fleet. Going to take major capital investment and they are highly concentrated in the single contract.
There is definitely risk there and has to be factored in.
daiello - No need to label it as panic selling. There is just additional uncertainty surrounding it now. You are probably right, but I just don't see a ton of upside from current levels. Do you really see this thing going to $4-5+? They are going to have to address the fleet at some point and that will take a large amount of capital. I wish you guys the best and hope this thing continues to run.
I sold my position this morning - was a bit upset that I didn't sell shares closer to $3, but i've been in this since .19 area and there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding United's news about replacing their existing fleet and retiring some of the old 50 seaters. Air Wisconsin is all CRJ200, so it'll be interesting to see how that works. Maybe they won't touch the smaller, regional carriers. Either way, it looks like $2-3 is fair value for this stock, so time to find another stock that is capable of more than a 2x return from here.
it's hard to sell this when the story isn't over yet. Of course, you must be willing to accept any losses that occur as a result of that :)

Daiello - i've pulled a couple of sell orders so far holding out for higher prices. I think once the airline traffic picks up (probably already has) and they potentially leverage an uplisting and even more attention, it could overshoot $5. That is the one thing keeping me from selling some at this point. So many positive catalysts - at least in the short to medium term.
GDLFF - it's probably down just like all the other metal plays. Fed becomes a bit more hawkish and now everything is out of favor. I have another limit order in the 1.90s.
HRBR closed at $3.05 today with some pretty good volume at the close. What a fun ride this has been so far.
MINM - I was looking for news on this earlier but couldn't find any. It has tailed off from the high but still holding here in the 3.20s. Someone wants in maybe?
HRBR - moving again today. I was tempted to take some of the shares I recently added at 1.50 off the table, but letting it ride. Gotta think this one is above $3 within a year, especially if they ever think of uplisting.
AVNW - I sold beyond way too soon. Had to think that one was gonna bounce back but never thought it would be this much.
Mermelstein - you aren't worried about a stock market correction/raising rates?
A lot of indicators right now are looking to me like the market may be topping but who knows.
ASTC- Merm do you own this?
SPCB - I'm in on this as well and adding more here. I think this one will pop again into the $2s.
AMC puts anyone?
