My bet is tax loss selling to offset other gains this year. I've done it, but not with CVSL.
No doubt, I'm glad I kept on eye on this one and didn't bail completely. Lots of good stuff brewing here.
I wish I could afford to loan myself $20M at 4% interest :p
I can't believe that this is still so far under the radar. 20M in cash and a few billion in aquisitions planned, wow. I don't like pumping but I don't see any way this is not going to multi-dollars in the near term with some nice aquistions.
Interesting, I've got two bids between the shown bid and ask. ETRD isn't showing my orders.
new 8k out, board members elected for C-positions.
Posted on Bloomberg this morning, "Rochon Plans to Build Direct-Selling Brands on LVMH Model"
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-11-27/rochon-plans-to-but-direct-selling-brands-on-lvmh-model.html
100% agree with you on that one.
DNAD
mkt cap 20% less than june 2012 revs *sigh*
50M on the bid this morning then immediately 50M on the ask this afternoon after the fills...hmmmm, looks like games to me. Also interesting to see the 160M on the bid this afternoon, >25% of the float.
IMO much more than that. Even with a small amount of revenue the market cap is rediculous. At this rate DNAD is on track to have more revenues this year than their market cap.
160M on the bid? interesting.
So ETRD had 50M on the bid this morning, those got wacked and now ETRD has 50M on the ask...fishiness even in light of the OS increase.
wow, plans to aquire companies with 100M in revs?!
In considering appropriate acquisition targets, we anticipate that we will evaluate companies of varying sizes, generally in the range of $100 million or more in annual revenue.? We do not plan to limit our acquisition opportunities to companies of this size, however, and expect to evaluate smaller companies in our targeted space from time to time, particularly companies that management believes are accretive or otherwise add value to one or more of our businesses.? We generally plan to consider companies that are currently profitable and looking to enhance their growth, as well as companies that have experienced financial and operational difficulties and can, in our opinion, be strengthened by improved strategic and tactical guidance.
They are/were still pushing Warheads:Battle and it looks to be actually doing fairly well worldwide. We'll see how much it can generate, it's got IAPs as well as Ads generating some sort of revenue. Mobile games have a longer shelf life than console games IMO, and the marketing strategies are totally different, with word of mouth being the single biggest way to market freemium games.
It seems to me they realized this was their current best bet in the immediate future to continue and they have been pushing out updates left and right with improved gameplay and new monetization strategies.
IMO, they do need to try to start spreading the word a little more though, but we're kind of in a bubble here and we definitely don't see what's going on in the rest of the world all the time.
Long blog by Kevin Corti of DNAD from monday regarding "asynchronous mobile gaming".
Reading between the lines, I think this tells a lot of the story about DNAD's past, and the future direction Corti is planning on taking the company. This is a hot, yet very hard market to be in, but breakouts can always happen with the right game and team behind it.
DNAD tried to do too much and today's news is a good thing IMO. Small publishers need something huge to break out otherwise they don't make it. DNAD tried to be both a developer and a publisher...publishing didn't work out so now they are getting rid of the publishing side of things and focusing on the development side.
Leaning out the business is a good thing even if they were forced into it IMO. Let's hope they show something with their new social direction and games that will attract the attention of real publishing partners that actually have the capability to market and push the games. Tapjoy is a good start with Warheads. DNAD has a development team...they don't, and have never had the resources to successfully market a game to the masses. It was a plan that didn't work out and now they are focusing on what IMO they should have in the beginning.
It's too bad this part of the plan didn't work out, but today's PR in my mind shows they might actually be starting to get things together and think realistically. It is what it is, a startup in the pinks like I said before, I am happy with today's news...with the SS not so much...but it is what it is a gamble.
Very interesting news, I've been waiting to see what happens here. Still holding a decent amount of CVSL.
Was a little worried about the share issuance, but since it's ALL restricted and owned by Rochon, at this point the actual effective float doesn't change at all and is tiny.
LOL, the roller coaster ride that is a startup in the pinks :)
DNAD, still holding and will either go down with this ship or into the wild blue yonder...who knows. That PR has, at the very least, cleared up a few questions I've had now for a while.
So, are we now back to ~609M OS? Guess I have to send another email to my best buds over at Stalt :)
Warheads IMO has the best chance DNAD has right now of pulling in revs. It has a decent user base, has lot's of ads/iaps that can generate $$$, it's been growing, is/has been featured in multiple app stores, and they are constantly updating and improving it. Let's hope their efforts pull in some much needed revenue, we need it more than anything.
Nice EOD ask slapping here with nice round blocks, wasn't expecting that but I like it :)
We're back to a little under where we were ~3 weeks ago with the OS, kinda saw that one coming. We shall see who they are selling these shares to, hopefully not the same peeps. IMO, that will determine whether or not we see this shares hit anytime soon...although we may not find out for a while so it's all pure speculation, which is nothing new here on the DNAD board LOL :p
Interesting how fast that nice 2M smack got most of that 14M off the ask...fun and games LOL :)
It's looking pretty cool at this point on Android. Don't know if the new updates have made it to the iOS yet, they hadn't as of last week when I updated Warheads on our iPad. There's a bunch of new artwork , the game play is more fun, and the mission ending is a bit angry birds like with a star rating and whatnot. Overall the new updates have made warheads a pretty nice game.
I've seen more good changes in the last 3 weeks courtesy of KC than I saw in the entire 6 months previous. More ads and the Tapjoy integration is full on, I hope the new monetization strategy pays off.
Work has begun on our exciting new sports-themed social mobile game. It is based on a BIG American sport & has innovative gameplay approach

They did broadcast it live but I've yet to find a recorded version of it or anyone really talking about it. Let's hope the guys from DNAD learned something :) Ed is also speaking at one of these things in a month or so IIRC.
One thing that I very much like as of late is that as a company, DNAD, seems to be more active now than ever before. Let's hope this signals a turn around that will last.
OS is still 609,984,884 FWIW
Another DNAD Warheads update just came out for Android with new artwork and gameplay improvements. It's a real nice update, just like the last one. They are just cracking the whip lately with all the changes. I like what I've been seeing, and it seems someone finally knows what they're doing, and knows it well.
I'm excited about the new social/mobile football game possibilities even more than I was about merlin. I hope this marks a turn away from licensed titles and a turn towards their own titles. All this company needs is one killer, distinct game that will put them on the map and since there are even more people that like football than merlin, this ones got a nice chance ;)
and it looks like it's 6 now attending...
No reason to put ~5% of the float on the ask all at once without some ulterior motive IMO.
If it's to keep it low and accumulate more I can't say I mind, since I've been able to add a few more M for pocket change :)
I would like to see it go up soon, if they file their form 10 with the SEC in a week or two *like they said* I would expect a little more action...we shall see if they come through this time though. Corti and Williams seem to be doing everything the others should have done last year IMO, so I have hope.
Nice to see DNAD has a new game in the works, sure to hear more about this in the coming weeks.

You and I must be related, we seem to be a little nutz :) LOL
Nice DNAD volume today.
As of the close of business on 08/30/2012, the outstanding shares for DNA Dynamics, Inc. was 674,984,884 with their current authorized of 850,000,000 shares.
Just wanted to post this as an FYI for those who haven't checked, as it was brought to my attention by another shareholder.
Something interesting that Kevin Corti just tweeted, current studio head at DNAD, former CEO and co-founder of Soshi Games. It's Soshi's current CEO and co-founder, Cliff Dennett, talking about how they want to crowdsource in order to bring Music Festivals to mobile and tablet. It shows a concept video of the mobile version and Dennett then talks about how the game already looks a lot better than the video...so Soshi is already making a mobile/tablet version of Music Festivals. This is a loooong shot but hey what isn't in pinkyland :) ....given Corti's past with Soshi, I wonder if there might be some collaboration going on and since DNAD used crowd sourcing for TNG they might have a little experience in that area.
Rumor had it that Soshi was their acquisition target last fall that fell through, again rumor only. But given that their former CEO is now DNAD's 'Head of Studio' I don't think it's too far of a stretch to say that something *might* be up. Corti's ties to Soshi still seems very much amiable. Also if you look at the actual funding site, it says that other funding has been committed through other channels, again pure and utter speculation, but it could account for the massive amount of shares sold last week and previously.
Tapjoy is finally in play in this new version of Warheads. Was able to download a few other apps and get some free gold. This also means that other apps will have links to Warheads, hopefully resulting in dramatically increased download numbers. Also more ads, which in conjunction with more downloads and IAPs hopefully means more revs....I guess we'll see if this pays off in the near future for DNAD. They really seem to be betting on this one. It's a much better game IMO than TNG.
I've only played for about 10 minutes, but so far this version is much better than the last, the tutorial is updated and better, and everything just seems more solid, less buggy, and intuitive. KC in action I bet.
That's my positive post for day :)
No problem, haven't had time yet to actually play with the updates. Hopefully KC is crackin' the whip in other areas also :) Looks like they rebranded Warheads: Battle along with the update, but haven't fully pushed it out to the store pages yet as it is still Medieval Tales in the itunes store. The game itself has all branding updated on my android version though.
Also noticed last night that warheads was featured on the role playing portion of iTunes for the last few days in the US.
I have a feeling they might, that last increase hasn't seemed to hit yet either imo, could be restricted, but we shall see...
Someone just bought a 25% equity stake in dnad. Imo nobody could get rid of that many shares quickly at this point given the current trading pattern and interest level and what has transpired lately. Buying 200m for a quick flip at this levels is rediculously risky, ludicrously even...and 25% of the company? Wtf. I'm totally cornfused at this point unless something totally different is transpiring.who tf knows.
Or they are hiring for another project, depends on the structure of the organization. Since I don't remember them having a lead developer or artist (which is based solely on what is mentioned in linkedin and their website), I would think they are adding more.
FWIW...As of the close of business on 08/13/2012, the outstanding shares for DNA Dynamics, Inc. was 609,984,884 with their current authorized of 850,000,000 shares.
I doubt if they would hint at new games and/or initiatives in an update before they PR anything, I know I wouldn't blow the entire thing all at once, but who knows WTH is going on at this point. I sure as heck hope they have more to reveal soon. They updated us on mgt, now they need to tell us 'the rest of the story'.
I'm still here also, just a little miffed today that's all. Although I caved and I picked up a little more this morning with some money I found in the couch :)
Nothing has really changed since yesterday IMO, the update didn't reveal as much as I hoped, but even so I think our valuation right now is still way to low. I've got shells that are worth 2-3x as much with no future. We had hoped merlin was still on the table, but the door was already almost closed on that one anyway, they just shut it. I'll keep buying little by little as this keeps going lower, I'm confident we'll be up from these levels soon and I don't see any point in selling right now, people are just scared, and that's never the time to sell because others have and will take advantage of it.
Per the last PR "new management team members, new game titles and new initiatives that the company is now engaged with...", we've seen the management additions, now it's up to the company to show us the new game titles and initiatives to actually prove there is some sort of value here.
