alt energy stocks starting to rise
not concern about gold,, it can go to the moon, we all can get rich on it. Just hit 'market' early on and ride the wave,, note, dont forget to put it back up for sale,, and keep a close finger to the market button there too.
pretty impressive since the $usd is holding april 87.50, and the oil traders playing with 40- as noted last night
yhoo-wow im impressed, market down and only pharm and gold is up, I looked around,, didnt see any pharm posts,
Really dragging right now, worn out -fishing sucked today.
yhoo+market,, we still have 2-3 days to work thru,(let the currency issues work get done 1st), and I do not think the yhoo effect is going to be much of a real stall in the markets,, it is just 'todays news',, soon you will be posting csco or whoever,, point is the market does not have to have yhoo to go up,,, look at the s&p, it has gone up (and down) without C,, C= 20% of the s&p.and now C is doing a better base building for going up. Soon, dont try to rush or push a rally.
i see what your saying, I had the 'quick' glance on it as a gap- I still stand by my targets,, gaps or not.
JMHO- let YHOO get the bloodbath,, and start watching CSCO- but no hurry, take your time and watch it, can still dip to 20
tech exhausted most traders pocket books over the past few days,, used up too much thrust trying to force a rally too soon.
Jmho- $ will run for safety (divs, value etc,,) but some of them are getting toppish too,,, banks/brokers,, and uts have more room up,, and pharm has the whole sky
magic- sorry I disagree, at least for nearterm on yhoo and closely linked stocks,, yhoo has a gap to fill at 25+/-,, and you know that for 2-3 years+/-, I have posted on yahoo, yhoo is near term toppy,,guilding higher than what? An easy hurdle from 2001 and going forward?,, im sticking to 23-25, and if the market got ugly:18-20-very doubtful.
yhoo!- Maybe a whole sectors worth of $ can finallly wake up the drasically oversold pharms
Per email earlier today:
yhoo-E's after the bell, most good news already price in, odds are the streetwill drop it to at least 30-29,,23/24 over time would not surprise me-note this is 1 of my fav stocks to watch.
remember what I emailed you last week?,,
Besides, yhoo made a new hoy,, it was a gimme,, traders are sick and tired of the google stuff.
Al-Jazeera Broadcasts Tape of Iraq Hostage
Al-Jazeera Broadcasts Videotape of Filipino Kidnapped in Iraq
The Associated Press
CAIRO, Egypt July 7, 2004 — Al-Jazeera television Wednesday broadcast a videotape of armed men holding a Filipino hostage and threatening to kill him if the Philippines did not withdraw its small force from Iraq in three days.
The three armed men who issued the threat stood behind the seated hostage with a banner behind them that read the "Iraqi Islamic Army Khaled bin al-Waleed corps," a previously unknown group. The name Khaled bin al-Waleed is that of one of the military commanders of Islam's Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet gave al-Waleed the title "Sword of Islam."
The videotape displayed an Iraqi identity card for the hostage, which gave his nationality as Philippines and his name as Hafidh Amer. The name suggests he is a Muslim.
The Al-Jazeera newscaster said the group had offered to release Amer if the Philippines withdraws its troops from Iraq within 72 hours.
Al-Jazeera spokesman Jihad Ballout said the channel received the videotape Wednesday. It did not say how the group kidnapped Amer nor did it give his occupation.
The Philippines has 51 soldiers, police officers and health workers in the multinational force in Iraq.
In addition, about 4,100 Filipinos are working at U.S. military bases in Iraq as cooks and maintenance technicians.

BEIJING - Pfizer Inc. said Wednesday that its Chinese patent for Viagra had been overturned and that it would appeal.
Pfizer "is extremely disheartened by this recent action," the company said in a statement. It said its China patent for the anti-impotence drug would remain in effect while it appeals.
Experts said it appeared to be the first time the Chinese government had overturned a pharmaceutical patent.
Foreign drug companies have been watching the case as a test of China's commitment to intellectual property rights. Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Josette Shiner in November called the Viagra patent challenge a "particularly troubling" example of a questionable Chinese commitment to intellectual property rights.
Patent protection for drugs is relatively new in China — only about 10 years old, according to Joseph M. Damond, associate vice president for Japan and Asia Pacific at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association. Damond said he wasn't aware of China ever taking this action before and believed it was a first.
Nonetheless, Damond didn't want to attach too much significance to the event. He said the industry's main concern in China is counterfeiting.
Viagra was introduced in China in 2000, and after six months on the market, the official Xinhua News Agency reported that some 90 percent of Viagra pills sold in Shanghai, the country's largest city, were fake.
Damond said counterfeit drugs are a very lucrative business and that fakes from China are sold throughout Asia and have also showed up in Canada. He believes it is only a matter of time before they find their way to the U.S. market.
"No one is put in jail for counterfeiting," said Damond. "There is no deterrent."
The patent re-examination board of China's State Intellectual Property Office overturned Pfizer's 2001 patent on the use of sildenafil citrate, Viagra's main ingredient, the statement said. It didn't say when the board issued its ruling.
Phone calls to the SIPO weren't answered Wednesday afternoon and there was no reference to the ruling on the agency's Web site.
A group of Chinese drug companies had petitioned the office to nullify Pfizer's patent for sildenafil citrate, saying it failed to fulfill the "novelty requirement" of Chinese law.
Under that requirement, a patent can only be granted if no identical invention has been published or used within the country.
New York-based Pfizer has already lost patent protection for Viagra through similar challenges in Colombia and Venezuela.
"This is just another example of spotty intellectual property rights in the developing world," said Richard Evans, an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein.
Shares of Pfizer traded at $33.92, up 5 cents, Wednesday afternoon on the New York Stock Exchange (news - web sites).
bush- yip, I dont expect yahoo to go up,, most news is priced in:
Per email earlier today:
yhoo-E's after the bell, most good news already price in, odds are the streetwill drop it to at least 30-29,,23/24 over time would not surprise me-notethis is 1 of my fav stocks to watch.
igdc- new 3day high, still needs vol
FDMLQ-got a very partial fill nib at .27,, will put in gtc @.26
hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmm, a shirt,, I need shoes,,, and maybe another buster boat to get to the mailbox-lol,,
I was trying to decide if answering email was worth it, cause most of the time I chat to myself, and that isnt helping anybody- I dont mind that so much, but I think I have to pay to post on other side boards. Just wish they had a better email system.
email- should I pay or not?

watch the alt energies and uts,, uts will lead as fuel price subside
pharm+nano on dips,, not a bad combo,,, real work? Whats that? lmao
3saints-lol,, better go to 1 of the side boards,, I adopted 1- it was mostly dead, thought it might be a good place for the Wc'ers to post thier otc's,, sort of a sister board.
beach bum- I didnt take offense to your post, and dont mind it being put back on the sight if possible.
gscrash-thank you very much, many traders here are very good people. we just seem to show our not good side during market corrections. Speaking of market corrections,, we are nearly done, just have to go thru 2-3 boring more days, and then the markets should improve.
Cant pound the table hard enough, to really sniff out pharms,, the index is tooooooo oversold, and I would rather be a few pennies early today, than miss a gap up day in some of them. And I may miss a great breakout to the upside while fishing.
beach bum- I figured you and others dont, I dont expect you too. I was 'butting in' and I am sorry for that, but I do stand by my picks and I think the others here do to.
R- keep an eye on C,, nearly ready for spray paint, when this happen GROW has alot to gains with it. Meantime mm's will scoop any stop they can get. So look for dips and hang on.
PRVB-.04+/-,,
FD- I may refer to this one often,, I have quite a few shares and know of others who have been accumulating- long of course
another thing, I will note, and then shut up,, traders can always ask questions if they want to know something. Most of my emails are just that, too bad they dont just post the ? ,, Maybe others would benefit from a point of view etc..still doesnt make my view right or wrong to someone elses,, but we can get alot farther by talking rather than whispering in emails-
Ok, now I shut up. :)
'beach bum' - I was really wanting to stay out of this, but I dont scalp, we cant be perfect,, nobody is, but just because I dont post about a certain stock doesnt mean I am out. I just figure there is no interest. Ie: cheapie LNUX gave a great dip yesterday, and no I did not sell 1 share on the recent pop, I am sticking to my $4-6 target.
As for otc,, I have listed many on another side board here at the hub and at the pit- long, for a reason.
Anyway, I dont have any beef with you,, just dont want you or others to think I am scalping you out.
For the record, taking advantage of the pharm dips pretty big today, added to nano pullbacks
the real R- GROW has alot going for them,, and I wont be trading thursday, I will be gone fishing from about 4am in the morning. Other stocks I am having to put in gtc's. So if I forget, I wish all of you the very best in profits today and thrusday.
GROW- I like it very much at these levels for those going long, and yes i still have a high target
ok, who stole my GROW add entry?-lol
amep- getting the 10dmavol today, still holding all otc's- waiting on IGDC to give me a beter b/a, to add, I wont be here in the morning (or day maybe) thursday, and would like 1 more add on spot
neol-mm's have a locked up b/a-hhhhhhmm
dytk .80- may be worth a watch
neol- worth watching the 9.7's for a dips entry
fdmlq-.28, just watching, would like a dip first
Texas: Yes, I got the boat ready
Louisiana: mosquittos are our state bird
<g>
NEOL going green,
GROW- starting to look tasty, made a higher high today,, yes, vol sux, always does, nibble only if interested. may take a few more days to close the 50/200dma chanel
yip, I have not seen any fund dumping on my primary screan, just trader stops getting hit here and there. But I did pick up few techs on the cheap,, or at least near a bottom.
Naz went straight thru the 200dma, dow and s&p soon I think,, then we should have the caves full of bears, bulls can raid them, once they realize that the jobs data- while not good, wont stay bad forever. $usd is holding up real good today, but that can change too. Oil traders are having a field day-lol, I have been taking a bit of profits for days as I told subs to do the same.- Not leaving the sector, just locking in some $.
Today looks like BB day,, babies and bath water, lol
