The potential of the Army contract may be AFT's best bet for the short term, and could outweigh their other projects. The Army has already begun to receive delivery of the new Navistar engines/vehicles ahead of schedule. So I'm sure they are eager to get JP-8 compatible fuel pumps/injectors to accomidate them. If AFT can submit their Phase II results this year, that would give them a leg up on the competition.
That should be interesting, adding more fuel to the DME fire(pun intended). The more DME and it's benefits that are pitched to various industries, the sooner we will see companies breaking away from dirty and expensive diesel fuel.
Another application for DME is the marine industry, both commercial and private. All marine vessels are almost exclusively powered by diesel engines. Yachts, fishing boats, tug boats, etc.
Click on this site and you'll see they all are diesel powered:

And any commercial operation that has a self contained fueling station like truck stops, UPS or FEDEX, etc, can have their own DME pumping stations. A company that switches over to DME will not only reap it's money advantages, but will also have a public relations coup, as DME is a clean burning fuel, good for the environment.
The PPS has gone from .0005 to .0025 in six months without a PR. What does that tell you?
We will see a small but steady climb up for now while we fight through the flippers(the shorts have left town).
The first real news you'll hear for AFTC is an upgrade to CI. Then, several PR's announcing signed contracts. When does this happen?
Some say this year, or maybe early next year.
"Or until Mati finds his way out of his cave ;)"
Let's hope he has a compass, an Indian guide and Rambo. That cave has gotten mighty deep.
The residual effect of a Phase III contract could have serious business potential for commercial trucking, UPS/Fedex, county/city buses, marine operations, etc.
Going green is positive for a company. "We're the good guys....."
Based on latest charts and buy/sell orders, we are on the edge. Whatever this merger is about, I think it's about here.
I don't know if AFT's pump and fuel injector that they are designing for the SBIR Army contract is applicable to the M1 tank, which uses a Honeywell gas turbine engine, not a diesel. It can run on JP-8 fuel, put would likely need a different pump/fuel injector system.

(scroll down to section #4)
Diesel's are more fuel efficient/less maintaince, and hindsight thinking is the Army should have gone with a diesel for the M1.
I believe AFT's are designed for medium to heavy duty diesel engines, like Hummer's, supply and fuel trucks, etc. that will use the new Navistar motors. But that would still mean thousands of Army vehicles to be fitted with the new pumps/fuel injectors.

3 month chart is awesome. Not much left in the float to trade at these prices. Flippers running out of steam.
Well I'm hoping the flippers bring it down to .001. Then I can grab another million shares. Does that make me a bad guy?
Because when news is released, we go to major penny's....and more.
Been in this stock for a few years. Things seem to be finally taking shape. Maybe another 6 months for big news, or another year. So I'll continue to hold, the pay off will be worth it.
The research done by members of this forum is impressive. Not typical of a sub-penny stock. And that says a lot about AFTC.
"My Kingdom for a horse!" I would have bought another 2 mil back then if possible.
About a year ago he replied in response to an email that his attorney told him he needn't issue PR's for R/D contracts. And we haven't heard zilch since. One doesn't need a crystal ball to figure that out.
CEO Jim McCandless said over a year ago he will no longer issue PR's for minor league R/D contracts. Meaning, he has confidence in a serious production deal, and will respond when that happens.
IMO this could be forthcoming. Maybe 2013, or early 2014. But the results will be serious gains for the PPS, extremely rare for a sub-penny.
Some of us are sitting on 5 million + shares. Zero trades at these levels are ok.
That toddlin' town, city of broad shoulders, hog butcher to the world....and just to the north, AFTC.
I believe there are two Phase II contracts regarding the Navistar Max Force engine. One is for the fuel pump, another the fuel injector.
The final due date to submit these contract results is 8/14. However, results can be submitted earlier.
Not at this event. This is mostly big shots in the biz. Aftc is looking to hook up with them. But the fact that more industries are snifing around DME is good for Aftc.
2013 Alternative Clean Transportation Expo this week
June 24-27 in Washington, D.C.
http://www.aboutdme.org/index.asp?sid=94
Volvo will be showcasing their D13 DME engine at the event.
AFTC does not have to be working with them. But if they have a product that can fit into their system.....
I see. So can you name any of the other companies that are being highlighted to provide fuel systems for DME?
Several years down the road? Before a truck rolls off the line, there are a few years of advance planning and manufacturing that take place. It doesn't all happen when Jr. wields the first bumper on.
The writing is on the wall. Wouldn't shock me to see other big names in the trucking industry jumping on the DME bandwagon.
And next we may see diesel trains making the move. "All aboard!"
Hey, I don't know a whole lot about inter-galactic time travel, or duel universe black holes. But I do know a little bit about people.
When there is real news to post, we will first see an upgrade to CI, followed with PR's. But if AFTC is dealing with some big names in the business, then the contract may stipulate that the big guys get to post news first.
Same here. Can't afford to pick up anymore shares on my meager budget. And I doubt it will ever drop back to .000 level.
The Volvo ripple effect is what could be the spark for DME in North America. Other companies may join the bandwagon. Maybe even diesel train company's. It will take hold with commercial industry first. And that's a lot of mullah.
No need to get back to Jim on this. Whatever he has said in response to your email is all he is allowed to say at this point. The man is not a boob.
Give me some triple 0's and I'm in for another mil. And when this baby launches, it's retirement $. Boo-ya!
I'm in another stock and their web page has not changed in 2 years. There have been PR updates on new employee's, equipment, etc, but the site is static. Not saying T&R is the same, but it happens.
At this point they may not be prepared to do that. If they move up to CI, they will be required to keep shareholders updated on news. So they might be keeping it at CE for a reason, at least for now.
Regardless, I've been waiting for something to happen.
The connection is that AFTC is in the middle of a Phase II SBIR Army contract to develop a fuel pump and fuel injection system for these Navistar motors. The contract runs up to August 2014. If the Army awards them a production contract, this stock is gold.
(He task's me, he task's me).
Some of us old timers are on year 4, and still adding. There's no such thing as a sure thing, but the odds are looking good for this one.
I can see this going to .01 based on good financials, upgrade to CI and new ticker symbol. After that, a couple of solid PR's and we move up to the low pennies, .02 or maybe .05 very quick.
Contract or not, if Volvo can push to get DME into the American market, that will be a plus for AFTC.
Volvo on DME vs natural gas
http://www.truckinginfo.com/channel/equipment/article/story/2012/05/renewable-dme-vs-us-natural-gas.aspx
Volvo awarded U.S. Defense contract:
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/05/10/volvo-truck-wins-1775-million-pentagon-contract.aspx
Or release news, financials, new ticker symbol. Take your pick.
No doubt others are in this field. But who has a product ready for the current market? AFTC could be on the cutting edge.
Any news on when the T&R website will be completed?
And I would love it. Bring this baby down to .0005 and I'm in for another 2 mil. Sitting at .00 doesn't help us much. But when AFTC has a solid contract in hand, the stock will move. But until then, I would like to add to my position.
I had a stock that was a merger, aka 'shell'. It's not a bad move for a company that want's to go public, kind of like buying a house. It takes more time and effort to start from scratch with new construction. Or you can buy an already built home and move right in.
Sounds good to me. I'd like to pick up another 1 or 2 million shares at that price, but I don't think it will happen. AFTC has gotten too much attention lately, and will likely hold at double zeros.
Regarding Luna's comments, Jim should update his site, and include pics/info on DME 5. A Youtube vid of his presentation there would also be a plus.
